        운동강도의 차이가 대장에서의 Heme oxygenase-1 발현에 미치는 영향: Oligonucleotide chip microarray analysis

        이 연구의 목적은 운동강도 차이에 의한 대장조직이 Heme oxygenase-1(HO-1)의 mRNA 발현에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 규명하기 위해, Sprage-Dawley계 흰쥐를 대상으로 통제그룹(CON)과 저강도 운동그룹(LIE), 고강도 운동그룹(HIE)으로 구분하여 4주 동안 트레드밀운동 후 48시간 이후에 High through-put microarray analysis방법으로 다음과 같은 실험을 실시하였다. 본 실험은 Rat ABI oligo chip 26,857 개의 유전자 중 filtering을 통하여 12.079개 유전지를 선택하였고, 이 중 유의성 있는(p<.05) 유전자 12,072개를 선별하였으며, clustering분석 방법과 면역조직화학염색법에서도 HO-l이 운동강도에 따라 유의하게 발현하였다(p<.05). Microarray분석 후 RT-PCR로 확인한 결과 HO-I의 유전자 발현양상이 일치하는 결과를 얻었다. 이 실험의 결과로서 운동이 대장에서 HO-1 발현에 영향을 주는 것을 알 수 있었다. 운동이 대장에서의 mRNA 발현이 저강도 운동그룹(LIE)보다 고강도 운동그룹(HIE)에서 더 많이 발현되어지는 것으로 보아 고강도 운동에 의해 발생되는 산소라디칼을 HO-l의 유도를 통하여 적절히 제거함으로써 스스로 항상성을 유지하고 있는 것으로 생각되어진다. The purpose of this study is to identify how large intestine tissue effects to mRNA expression in Heme oxygenase-l (HO-1) due to differences in exercise intensity. To perform this experiment we divided Sprage-Dawley rats into 3 groups (control group (CON). low-intensity exercise group (LIE) and high-intensity exercise group (HIE)), and in 48 hours after 4 weeks treadmill exercise. the following experiment was performed with "High through-put micro array analysis methods" . 12,079 genes were chosen by filtering of the Rat ASI oligo chip 26.857 genes in this experiment Among 12.079 genes, we selected significant genes (p<.05) that were also expressed in the ways of clustering analysis and immunohistochemistry. With results of RT-PCR confirming and microarray analyzing, we derived that gene expression profiles of HO-l had been consistent. As a result of this experiment, we certainly identified that exercise effects to HQ-l expression in large intestine. mRNA expression was more expressed in high-intensity exercise group CHIE) than low-intensity exercise group (LIE), it seems that homeostasis maintains itself by properly removing oxygen radical. caused by high intensity exercise. through reduction of HO-l.

        ORiginal Article : Gastroprotective Effects of PMK-S005 against Ethanol-Induced Acute Gastric Damage in Rats

        Background/Aims: This study aimed to examine the gastroprotective effects of PMK-S005, which is a synthetic S-allyl-Lcysteine (SAC; a sulfur-containing amino acid), against acute ethanol-induced gastric damage in rats. Methods: Sprague- Dawley rats were divided into six groups, including a nonethanol group, groups treated with absolute ethanol 1 hour after pretreatment with various doses of PMK-S005 (1, 5, and 10 mg/kg) or rebamipide (50 mg/kg), and an absolute ethanolonly group. Ethanol-induced gross ulcer and mucus levels were measured. Myeloperoxidase, tumor necrosis factor a, interleukin 1β, PGE2, LTB4, cPLA2, COX-1, and COX-2 levels were estimated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay or Western blot analysis. Furthermore, the protein expression levels of antioxidant enzymes, including heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), NAD(P)H:quinine oxidoreductase 1 (NQO-1), GCLC, and GCLM, were assessed. Results: PMK-S005 significantly attenuated the ethanol-induced gastric damage; it reduced mucosal inflammatory cytokine production and increased mucus levels. The expression levels of cPLA2, COX-1, and COX-2 were decreased by PMK-S005. PMK-S005 did not affect PGE2 synthesis, but LTB4 production was significantly suppressed. In addition, long-term administration of PMKS005 significantly increased the expression of HO-1, NQO-1, GCLC, and GCLM. Conclusions: These results strongly suggest that PMK-S005 prevents gastric mucosal damage and that these gastroprotective activities are due to anti-inflammatory effects and enhancement of the gastric defense system, including antioxidant enzymes.         This study was carried out to investigate the pyramidal and extrapyramidal tracts which were composed of motor tract with respect of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, for the purpose of increasing the physiotherapical approach on degeneration of motor system, hemiplegia and paraplegia. The results were as follows: 1.The motor tract was composed of pyradidal tract and extrapyramidal tract. 2.The pyramidal tract was composed of corticospinal tract and corticobulbar tract. 3.The extrapyramidal tract was largely composed of vestibulospinal tract, tectospinal tract, reticulospinal tract and rubrospinal tract. 4.The corticospinal tract served predominantly fine and precise movement. 5.The extrapyramidal tract was involved in the coordination of posture and locomotion. 6.The basal ganglia helped determine the direction, force and speed of movement. 7.The cerebellum coordinated posture and movement.

      • 다량의 하부위장관출혈이 병발된 Vibrio vulnificus 패혈증 1예

        최근 저자들은 Vibrio vulnificus 감염에 의해 패혈증 및 이차성 피부 병변을 보인 42세의 남자 환자의 치료중 하부 위장관 출혈이 병발된 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. We experienced a case of Vibrop vulnificus septicemia which showed an unusual manifestation such as hematochezia. The patient was a 42-year-old man with chronic liver disease. The blood and wound culture revealed the organism. During intensive care, he suffered from massive hematochezi for several days. Colonoscopy and abdominal CT showed findings suspicious of ischemic colitis. To our knowledge, this is the first unusual case of V.vulnificus infection which showed massive lower gastrointestinal bleeding.

        These grafting seeding "Torobambica", rootstock "Jang Ja" and "Chuk Yang" were tested to investigate the differences between the growth of eggplants and the number of eggplants which can be influenced by the growth retardant aerosol. For the test of the growth retardant aerosol, the flower clusters were sprayed with one hundred units of Tomatotone liquid and with three hundred units of GA3 on the day they flowered and sprayed two or three days before flowering. The results were as follows: 1.According to the growth retardant aerosol of Tomatotone, the plant height was the tallest at 226.21 cm with foliar spray and the high Marketable fruit was good at the percent of 77.38 with a flowering spray and Tomatotone on the day they flowered. 2.According to the growth retardant aerosol of GA3, the plant's height was the tallest at 229.27cm with foliage which was sprayed every week. The high quality fruit was good at the percent of 69.11 with a flowering spray and GA3 on the day they flowered. 3.According to Tomatotone and GA3 treatments of the plant growth regulators, the plant's height was the tallest sprayed every week and the high Marketable fruit was good at the flowering spray and Tomatotone on the day they flowered. and Yield per 10a was good at the flowering spray and Tomatotone on the day they flowered.

      • 육우 비선호 부위를 활용한 육우햄의 품질특성

        This study was undertaken to compare the quality characteristics of dairy beef ham. Dairy beef hams were manufactured using non-preferred portion (top round). 5 treatments were prepared: T1(beef 50% + pork emulsion 50%), T2(beef 65%emulsion 35%), T3(beef 80%emulsion 20%), T4(beef 90%emulsion 10%), T5(beef 100%emulsion 0%). In chemical composition, dairy beef content increases, moisture content was increased, fat content was decreased. In the meat quality characteristics, T5 showed higher (p<0.05) water holding capacity value than the others. Dairy beef content increases, product loss and cooking loss were decreased. In hunter color, dairy beef content increases, redness was increased. In texture profile analysis, T4 and T5 were significantly higher than the others. As a result, dairy beef ham with 80~90% dairy beef and 10~20% pork emulsion has low fat content, high product yield and superior texture profile, which could be developed as a dairy beef hams using non-preferred portion.

        This study was carried out to investigate effect of the planting distance of Eggplant(Solanum melongena. L). These grafting seeding "Torobambica", rootstock "Jang Ja" and "Chuk Yang" were tested to investigate the differences between the growth of eggplants and the numbers of eggplants which can be influenced by the planting distance such as 100×50cm, 100×60cm and 100×70cm. The results are summarized as follows: 1.The plant height, leaf length, leaf, width, leaf area and the number were good for the growth change of each cultivar from planting distance such as 100×70cm. 2.The grafting seedlings "Chuk YanglTorobambica" grew and developed better than "Jang Ja" and "Jang Ja/Torobambica" 3.Effects of scion on the rootstock for planting distance "Chuk Yang" grew and developed better than "Jang Ja"

      • 송아지고기 소시지와 시중에 판매되는 우육과 돈육 소시지 제품의 저장특성 비교

        This study was undertaken to compare the storage characteristics between veal sausage and commercial pork and beef sausages in Korean domestic market. We manufactured 3_types of sausages and purchased 2_types of sausages in the market: T1(B-company product), T2(O-company product) and we made T3(smoked veal sausage), T4(smoked veal sausage with pepper) and T5(cooked veal sausage) products. During 20 days of storage at 4oC, T5 showed significantly higher in TBA value and VBN value (p<0.05). But TBA and VBN values showed normal range in all products. T3, T4, and T5 showed higher total microbial count than T1 and T2 (p<0.05). According to the result, beef and pork sausages in the market showed different total microbial count and VBN values from those made in laboratory. This result could be come from the different additives used and manufacturing processes. However, all products can be stored up to 20 days in the cooler.
