        Examining Generalizability of Kang's (1999) Model of Structural Relationships between ESL Learning Strategy Use and Language Proficiency

        The present study examined whether Kang's (1999) model of the relationships among language learning strategy use and language proficiency for the Asian students could be applied to a more heterogeneous group. In Kang's study, he collected information of language learning strategies of 957 foreign students learning English as a second language in American colleges through a questionnaire. He also measured the subjects' language proficiency with the Institutional Testing Program TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). This study analyzed the same data without the limitation of cultural identity. Structural equation modeling was used to model the relationships among strategy use and language proficiency. Then, the model of the present study was descriptively compared with Kang's (1999) model for the Asian students. The overall flow of the relationship paths appeared to vary very little across the two models, which would have indicated that the generalizability of Kang's (1999) model could be extended more than originally examined.         아스트라제네카 코로나19 백신(ChAdOx1 nCoV-19/AZD1222)을 접종한 환자에서 한방 치료의 안전성 : 사례군 연구

        Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine the safety of Korean medicine treatment in patients vaccinated with the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine (ChAdOx1 nCoV-19/AZD1222). Methods: We investigated patients at Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital who were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine between June 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021. The safety of Korean medicine treatment was evaluated by examining adverse events that occurred within seven days of vaccination, including liver function and kidney function testing, assessment of the severity of adverse events, and examination of causality to vaccines and Korean medicine treatment. Results: Eleven patients vaccinated with the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine were included. A total of 19 adverse events were reported: 15 systemic adverse events, three local adverse events, and one alanine aminotransferase increase. The most commonly reported systemic adverse events were fatigue (4 cases, 36.4%), headache (4 cases, 36.4%), and myalgia (4 cases, 36.4%). All adverse events were rated below moderate (grade 2) in severity. Systemic and local adverse events were evaluated as definitely related to vaccination and unlikely to be related to Korean medicine treatment, while alanine aminotransferase increase was evaluated as unlikely to be related to either the vaccine or Korean medicine treatment. Aspartate transaminase, Blood urea nitrogen, and creatinine were measured within the reference range after vaccination. Conclusion: Our results suggest that the severity and frequency of adverse events in patients vaccinated with the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine did not increase after Korean medicine treatment.

        ZrO<sub>2</sub>와 NiO가 첨가된 Ba(Zn<sub>1/3</sub>Ta<sub>2/3</sub>)O<sub>3</sub>에서 표면 미세조직이 고주파 유전특성에 미치는 영향

        High frequency dielectric ceramics have potential for applications in mobile and satellite communications systems at frequencies higher than 10GHz. The Ba$(Zn_{1/3}Ta_{2/3})O_3$ ceramics are known to have a high quality factor, a small temperature coefficient of the resonance frequency and a high dielectric constant. On the other hands, sintering at high temperature for extended time is required to obtain the ordered structure for high quality factor. In this study, the microwave dielectric properties of $ZrO_2$ and NiO-added Ba$(Zn_{1/3}Ta_{2/3})O_3$ ceramics prepared by solid-state reaction have been investigated. Adding $ZrO_2$ and NiO could effectively promote the densification even the case of decreasing the sintering time. At the surface of samples, secondary phase of Ba-Ta compounds was formed possibly due to the evaporation of ZnO, however, the interior of the samples remained as pure Ba$(Zn_{1/3}Ta_{2/3})O_3$. The samples sintered at $1600^{\circ}C$ for 2h exhibited 1:2 ordering of Zn and Ta cations. Excellent microwave dielectric properties of $Q{\cdot}f$(>96,000 GHz) and ${\varepsilon}_r$=30 has been obtained.

      • Discontinuous Galerkin 방법을 이용한 비정렬 격자계의 유동 소음해석

        Discontinuous Galerkin method (DG) is a hybrid of finite element method and finite volume method, which uses polynomials to approximate solutions within elements and incorporates approximate Riemann solver between neighboring elements to reflect wave propagation. We use DG to solve compressible unsteady Navier-Stokes equation for the problems of noise generation from fluid flow. To obtain high-order accurate solution for aeroacoustics, high-order polynomials are used for DG spatial discretization with explicit Runge-Kutta method. This method is applied to aeroacoustics of flow around sphere and grazing flow over cavity. Test cases are solved on unstructured mesh.

        대학 남ㆍ녀 핸드볼 선수의 견관절 근신경 감각기능 비교

        Previous researches relative to male and female handball players has been mainly conducted to analyze difference of normal physical characteristics and performance. A efw studies have been done to observe neuromuscular function of handball players. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare and identify neuromuscular functions of shoulder between collegiate male and female handball players. Total 20 handball players(male; MHP, n=10 and female; FHP, n=10) were participated in this study. To analyze neuromuscular functions of shoulder, shoulder range of motion. threshold to detection of passive motion(TTDPM), onset latency and force reproduction(FR) were tested. All data from the measurement was analyzed by independent t-test and statistical level was α=.05. In shoulder ROM, MHP(96.40±13.18°) had a greater external rotation compared with FHP(70.00±3.65°)(p=.000). In TTDPM, the error angle of FHP(1.76±0.81°) on external rotation of shoulder was greater than that of MHP(1.09±0.44°)(p=.037). In FR test, the error Nm of FHP(1.83±0.88Nm) is smaller than the error of MHP(3.44±1.38Nm)(p=.006). FHP had faster onset time in pectoralis major(0.08±0.02sec VS 0.15±0.06sec, p=.003) and anterior deltoid(0.13±0.02sec VS 0.25±0.06sec, p=.000) than MHP. In conclusion, male handball player had a greater external ROM and total shoulder ROM compared to female player. The neuromuscular functions such as onset latency, force-reproduction of shoulder in male handball plays were lower compared with that of female player. The results resulted from the excessive external range and total ROM. Thus, this research has suggested that the function should be regularly tested to prevent potential shoulder injury. Exercises which can enhance a dynamic stability and neuromuscular function of shoulder joint is required for handball player especially in male handball players.

        쿨재팬이 일본 영화산업 발전에 미친 영향

        본고는 2000년대 일본영화산업의 약진에 대한 것이다. 1990년도에 사양길에 들어섰다는 진단을 받았던 일본영화가 2000년대에 들어서 내수 시장에서 관객 수와 흥행에서 “방고외저 (국내영화가 외국영화보다 수익과 흥행이 높아지게 된 현상)”으로 변화하는 과정에 착안하여 일본 영화의 부활을 추적하기 위함이다. 일본영화산업은 1990년대 후반으로부터 2000년초반에 두 가지 의미있는 변화를 경험한다. 구조적인 변화(시네마 콤플렉스의 급증)와 제작방식 (제작위원회 방식)의 변화가 바로 그것이다. 두 가지 변화 모두 시장의 영향에 의한 것이고, 일본의 전통적인 영화생산과 유통 방식과 배치되는 것이었다. 하지만 전통적인 유통과 생산방식의 변화는 일본영화산업에 새로운 활기를 불어 넣어주었다. 공교롭게도 일본정부가 추진하고 있는 문화정책인 쿨재팬은 2000년대로부터 시작되었다. 이에 일본 영화산업의 동향을 통시적으로 고찰하면서 2000년대 일본 영화의 부활의 배경을 살펴보고 아울러 쿨재팬으로 대표 되는 일본의 문화정책에서 영화 정책의 변화를 검토하고자 한다. This paper intends to trace the reason for the resurgence of film industry in Japan in the 2000s. The film industry in Japan was in a severe recession in the 1990s; yet, it is increasing in popularity, not only in the international market but also in the Japanese market in the turn of 2000s. In order to examine the recent upsurge of Japanese films, this paper investigates changes of market structure (the emergence of cinema complex) and production environment (Japanese film production consortia). Also, the upsurge of Japanese films coincided with the Japanese cultural policies, as known as Cool Japan polices. Although the increasing popularity in Japanese films is not necessarily bolstered by the Japanese Cool Japan policies, the Japanese cultural policies in relation to film is still meaningful that they look toward the future of film industry.

        여자 대학 핸드볼선수의 손 크기가 견관절 가동범위와 견갑골 움직임에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to identify the effects of hand size on shoulder ROM and scapular movement in female collegiate handball players. total 18 female handball players were participated in this study. They were allocated into 2 groups(SHG; small hand group, n=9; LHG; large hand, n=9). To measure shoulder ROM and scapula movement, goniometer and tape measure were used. shoulder IR, ER, FX, EX, H-AB, and H-AD were included for evaluating shoulder ROM. For scapula movement is analyzed by scapulohumeral rhythm and lateral scapula slide test. All data from the measurement was analyzed by SPSS PC 18.0. Statistical level was α =.05. In shoulder ER, LHG was greater than SHG(p=.042). SHG had greater H-AB compared to LHG(p=.009). In scapulohumeral rhythm test, the range of upper rotation of scapula in LHG was lower than in SHG(p=009). In lateral scapula slide at 0°, the slide of LHG was more wide than SHG(p=.038). In conclusion, this study has suggested that female handball player with large hand would have wide range of motion of shoulder joint compared to handball athletes with small hand. It is effective for female handball player to understand characteristics of shoulder range of motion and scapula movement by hand sizes and to identify the disorders of shoulder joint from the charcteristis.

        12주간 코어 운동이 노인여성의 폐기능에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of 12 weeks core exercise on pulmonary function in elderly women. Total 20 elderly women with over 65 years were participated in this study and allocated to 2 groups(core exercise group(CEG), n=10) and control group(CON), n=10). The number of sbject of this study was calculated by G-POWER 3.1 (effect size .40, 1 error=.05, power=.80). Data of sixteen subjects was used for this research excluding 4 subjects who took had less exercise sessions or no the post test. A subject who had the history of cardiovascular diseases in 6 months or took medications about pulmonary function was excluded from the study before the pre-test. Pulmonary function were measured by Spirometer(Spirolab Ⅲ, MIR, USA). Two-way ANOVA, Independent t-test and Paired t-test were used to analyze data of the study. Significant level was α =.05. In post test, FEV1.0 and PEF of CEG were higher than that of CON(p〈.05). No groups have significant differences in FVC, FEV1.0% and FEF25-75%. This study has concluded that core exercise program for 12 weeks developed FEV1.0 and PEF of the elderly women. So the core exercise that can strengthen respiratory muscles is helpful to enhance expiratory function of the elderly women.
