Background Spingobium sp. PAMC 28499 is isolated from the glaciers of Uganda. Uganda is a unique region where hot areas and glaciers coexist, with a variety of living creatures surviving, but the survey on them is very poor. The genetic character and complete genome information of Sphingobium strains help with environmental studies and the development of better to enzyme industry. Objective In this study, complete genome sequence of Spingobium sp. PAMC 28499 and comparative analysis of Spingobium species strains isolated from variety of the region. Methods Genome sequencingwas performed using PacBio sequel single-molecule real-time (SMRT) sequencing technology. The predicted gene sequences were functionally annotated and gene prediction was carried out using the program NCBI nonredundant database. And using dbCAN2 and KEGG data base were degradation pathway predicted and protein prediction about carbohydrate active enzymes (CAZymes). Results The genome sequence has 64.5% GC content, 4432 coding protein coding genes, 61 tRNAs, and 12 rRNA operons. Its genome encodes a simple set of metabolic pathways relevant to pectin and its predicted degradation protein an unusual distribution of CAZymes with extracellular esterases and pectate lyases. CAZyme annotation analyses revealed 165 genes related to carbohydrate active, and especially we have found GH1, GH2, GH3, GH38, GH35, GH51, GH51, GH53, GH106, GH146, CE12, PL1 and PL11 such as known pectin degradation genes from Sphingobium yanoikuiae. These results confrmed that this Sphingobium sp. strain PAMC 28499 have similar patterns to RG I pectin-degrading pathway. Conclusion In this study, isolated and sequenced the complete genome of Spingobium sp. PAMC 28499. Also, this strain has comparative genome analysis. Through the complete genome we can predict how this strain can store and produce energy in extreme environment. It can also provide bioengineered data by fnding new genes that degradation the pectin

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Ether-free poly(<I>p</I>-phenylene)-based anion exchange membrane materials with outstanding vanadium ion blocking properties are reported. The synthesized ionomers with a rigid backbone structure show small dimensional variations despite the high ion exchange capacities. Among the synthesized membranes, the QPPP-2 membrane with ion exchange capacity of 2.1 meq·g<SUP>−1</SUP> exhibits high anion (OH<SUP>−</SUP>, SO<SUB>4</SUB> <SUP>2−</SUP>, and Cl<SUP>−</SUP>) conductivity. The QPPP-2 membrane shows an extremely low diffusion coefficient (2.12 × 10<SUP>−9</SUP> cm<SUP>2</SUP> min<SUP>−1</SUP>) for VO<SUP>2+</SUP>, which is much lower than that of Nafion 115 (2.88 × 10<SUP>−6</SUP> cm<SUP>2</SUP> min<SUP>−1</SUP>), indicating the vanadium ion blocking property of QPPP-2. Moreover, the chemical and operational stabilities of the membranes are investigated <I>via</I> ex situ soaking tests in 0.1 M VO<SUB>2</SUB> <SUP>+</SUP> solution and in situ operation tests for 100 cycles, respectively. The vanadium redox flow battery single cell assembled with the QPPP-2 membrane exhibits a coulombic efficiency of 99%, voltage efficiency of 87%, and energy efficiency of 86% during 100 cycles at 80 mA cm<SUP>−2</SUP>. 사상성격검사(SPQ)의 한의학적 활용 현황에 대한 체계적 문헌 분석

Objectives: Operational definition and its validated measure of traditional Korean medicine (TKM) are pivotal for research studies and reliable clinics. There have been ten years of clinical studies on Eum-Yang (Yin-Yang) and Sasang typology using Sasang Personality Questionnaire (SPQ) of integrative biopsychology. The objective of this study was to perform a systematic review on the use of SPQ to provide insights and foundation for its further studies and clinical application. Methods: Clinical studies on SPQ were searched using five domestic and foreign research databases. Attained research articles were then subjected to predefined systematic reviews. Demographic characteristics of participants and research topics of articles were described. Psychological and physical features of SPQ and its subscales were reviewed and compiled to reveal biopsychological characteristics. Results: There were 33 articles with 15,085 participants on Eum-Yang (n=19) and Sasang typology (n=14). The SPQ-total score was in an increasing order of So-Eum, Tae-Eum, and So-Yang. Eum-Yang groups were categorized at a 3:4:3 ratio using %ile score of SPQ-total. The SPQ-total showed a significant positive correlation with Novelty-Seeking and a negative correlation with Harm-Avoidance in psychological perspective, while it was not significantly correlated with Body Mass Index or Ponderal Index in physical perspective. The SPQ-total and subscales explained psychopathological characteristics of stress recognition, negative emotion, problem behavior, and depression. Conclusions: The SPQ was found to be an objective biopsychological measure of TKM for Sasang typology and psychopathology. It would provide foundation for ‘Korean Psychology’ and multidisciplinary studies.

The experiment was undertaken to determine the combined effects of aversive, modeling, and verbal instruction on the self-stimulatory stereotyped benavior exhibited by a three-year two-month old with developmental delay, The behavioral interventions were consisted of lemon juice(aversive), behavioral rehearsal(moleling), verbal instruction(prompting), and defferential reinforcement of incompatible behavior (DRI), and continued over 73 sessions. The data gathered across multitreatments design (A-BCD-A-BD-DE) were visually analyzed. The results revealed that all the treatments reduced the occurrences of stereotyped behavior, the significant differences among any interventions were not found, and more importantly, the behavior effects were maintained.

PGE₁is an endogenous substance of potent vasodialator as well as inhibitor of platelet aggregation. It has been used therapeutically in peripheral arterial occlusive disease and impotence. Intracavernous injection of PGE₁ for erectile dysfunction has been established for several years as a treatment option for erectile dysfunction of diverse etiologies, but this mode of administration is limited by penile discomfort, pain at the injection site, inconvenience and noncompliance. As the matter of worse, the β-hydroxy moiety of PGE₁is extremely susceptile to dehydration in solution to give inactive PGA₁ and PGB₁. For the improvement of stability, rapid absorption at action site and the convenience of application, PGE₁was formulated as urethral suppositories of three types of formulations, such as PEG, witepsol, and the mixture of PEG and witepsol. The stability test of PGE₁and the release test in urinary suppositories were performed. Futhermore, the effect fo enhancers and vehicle composition on the penetration of PGE₁through excised rat skin was evaluated by permeability coefficient and enhancement ratio.

The client was chraterized to exhibit excessive perseveration and difficulties in interpersonal relations. The intervention was composed of making comfortable learning environment and setting reliable relationships with therapist, and persisted over 54 sessions. 5-Fluorouracil과 그 유도체를 함유하는 Solid Lipid Nanoparticles 제조와 평가

Solid lipid nanoparticles(SLNs) are particulate systems for parenteral drug administration and have good biocompatibility and stability. SLNs were prepared with lauric acid, as the lipid core. Tween 20 and tween 80 were used as surfactant. 5-fluorouracil and 1-benzoyl-5-fluorouracil were used as model drugs. Drug-loaded SLNs were prepared by the hot homogenization technique in order to evaluate the physical stability, entrapment efficiency of drugs as well as release profile. The particle size of SLNs was 40~600 nm. By increasing speed, the mean particle size of SLfs was decreased. And entrapment efficiency in the case of using 1-Benzoyl-5-fluorouracil was higher than using 5-Fluorouracil. The higher surfactant concentration, the faster release rate at the range of 1.5~2.5%.

부갑상선 기능항진증에 의한 골병변으로 갈색종양이 있다. 갈색종양은 주로 장골을 침범하고 척추골에서의 발생은 매우 드물다. 국내의 보고에서 갈색종양의 장골 침범은 있었으나, 척추골에서의 발생은 보고된바 없다 .저자들은 부갑상선 기능항진증으로 인하여 척추골의 천추에 발생된 갈색종양 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. The bony involvement in primary hyperparathyroidism present as browm tumor or osteitis fibrosa cystica and lead to pathologic fracture. Brown tumor commonly involve long bone such as femur, tibia, fibula, humerus, and radius. Brown tumor of axial skeleton is a rare entity. Previously reported case that involve axial skeleton still not present. We report a 47-year-old male patient that he has a hyperparathyroidism presenting as brown tumor involving sacrum.
백서에서 전척추마취시 심박수변이도의 파워 스펙트럼 분석

Background: Total spinal anesthesia (TSA) anesthetizes cranial nerves as well as peripherial nerves, leading to specific circulatory perturbations related to autonomic imbalance between sympathetic and parasympathetic tone. Heart rate variability (HRV) result from moment-to-moment changes in sym-pathetic and parasympathetic activity in response to many conditions. Using a power spectral analysis of heart rate variability, we evaluated the effect of TSA on the changes in the autonomic nervous system. Methods: Twenty-four Sprague-Dawley rats, during halothane anesthesia, were placed in a stereotaxic head holder. Polyethylene tubing (PE-10) was passed caudally from the cisterma magna, and these rats were anesthetized by a urethane intraperitoneal injection (1.5 g/kg). Succinylcholine was infused in-travenously at 1 mg/kg/min. During mechanical ventilation, ECG signals and mean arterial blood pressure were recorded for 5 min after a period of 10 min of anesthetic stabilization (baseline). Lidocaine (40 mg/kg) was administered intrathecally and then two subsequent 5-min ECG signals and mean arterial blood pressure were recorded (TSA 0-5 min, 5-10 min). A power spectral analysis of the data was computed using a short-time Fourier transform. The spectral Peaks within each measurement were calculated; low frequency area (0.25-0.75 Hz), high frequency area (0.75-3.0 Hz), total frequency area (0.25-3.0 Hz). Results: Mean R-R interval increases progressively during the 5 minutes after TSA but mean blood pressure decreases to the level of blood pressure of TSA within 2 minutes after TSA (p < 0.05). TSA diminished HRV within 2 minutes after a spinal injection of lidocaine (p < 0.05). Conclusions: These results suggest that total spinal anesthesia depresses both sympathetic and parasympathetic tone within 2 minutes. Korean J Anesthesiol 2001; 40: 74 ~81)
