      • 2 CASES OF RABBIT SYNDROME : 토끼증후군 2례

        The application of neuroleptics to schizophrenic and other psychotic patients in the early 1950's led to the therapeutic revolution into the psychiatry, on the other hand neuroleptic-related adverse effects did frequently occur. The authors experienced 2 cases of rabbit syndrome producing by rare complication of neuroleptic medication. Two cases were examined for the rabbit syndrome by the description of Villeneuve(1972) and Sovner and DiMascio(1977). The reciprocal coordination test and the finger-tapping technique to worsen the symptoms also were applied to two patients. The authors emphasized two issues of rabbit syndrome as follows. First, though the literature search showed that the majority of patients presented with rabbit syndrome which is usually seen after a prolonged exposure to neuroleptic medication with the more potency in the middle or elderly aged are over 45 years old, we suggest that this syndrome might be linked to the younger age factor and the low potency thioridazine in our patient. Second, the rabbit syndrome is in the importance of the clinical practice because of being readily reversible with antiparkinsonian agents or anticholinergic drugs. In addition, recognizing this condition and differentiating it from tardive dyskinesia helps in the choice of the proper treatment of orofacial disorders following neuroleptic medication for the long time.

        Since ports, harbors, and coastal structures are affected by waves in any way, waves have a great effect on determining the stability of coastal structures. Especially, regardless of ship's size, the efficiency of shipping and discharging depends on harbor tranquility. Therefore in this study, the wave action is a considered to be a major factor to design coastal structure. So experiments were performed with various models of quay wall by examining their hydraulic characteristics for reflection rates and wave run-up. The final purpose of this study is to design various domestic unique models of quay wall which have the function of wave dissipation to improve cargo handling efficiency. The reflection rates and ship motions of three degrees of freedom-3DOF(sway, heave, roll) are also calculated by boundary element method (BEM). Calculated reflection rates from the BEM are compared with the results from the hydraulic model experiment. Although the values of numerical analysis generally exceed the values of hydraulic experiment, they showed the similar trend.

        Clomiphene citrate에 의한 배란유도 후의 임신율에 관한 연구

        From March 1990 to February 1993, we evaluated completely follow-uped 68 cases of amenorrhea, oligomenorrhea, infertility(anovulation). The ratio of primary to secondary is 31: 37. Ovulation rate and pregnancy rate of 68 cases which were completely treated with clomphene citrate is 72%, 71.8% respectively. Among these 23 pregnat cases, 19 cases were full term delivered, 1 case is ongoing pregnant, and 3 cases were spontaneously aborted. No one of multiple pregnancy and congenital abnormality was noted.

        묘지 조성사업지의 비탈면 보호공법에 관한 연구(Ⅰ) : 강릉시 시범 공설묘지 조성사업을 중심으로

        강릉시 시범 공설묘지 조성사업은 경사 30˚ 의 표고차가 심한 산지를 절 · 성토하여 계단식 묘역단을 조성하는 공사로 수직고 15m이상의 대절토 및 성토부가 산재하고 있다. 특히 묘역단장후 주변 유입수 및 표면 유출수에 의한 비탈면 붕괴, 묘역단 유실 등의 피해가 발생할 경우 보수 또는 보강이 사실상 어려운 실정이며, 사회적 여론으로 확대될 가능성이 크므로 비탈면 보호에 필요한 녹화공법을 검토하였다. 구체적인 연구내용으로는 설계도면 및 현장답사를 통한 문제 비탈면 추출, 비탈면의 물리적 특성과 식생의 생육상황 파악, 비탈면 주변부의 식생조사와 유용식생 선발, 비탈면의 토양조건 분석 및 비탈면 토사의 기본물성 조사 등이며, 이를 기초로 하여 비탈면 현황 및 문제점을 파악하고, 그 대안을 제시하였다. The construction of a public cemetery in Kangnung city includes terraced graveyard with cutting or banking in mountain which has severe altitude differences with a slope of 30˚. Therefore, there are scattered cutting and banking sections with vertical height more than 15m. Especially, if the slope failure or the loss of a graveyard happens after graveyard establishment due to surface flow and inflow around, it is difficult to repair, causing serious public censure. Accordingly. revegetation works were examined that need protection of slope. The specific content of the study was the selection of slopes requiring special care through blueprint and field investigation the measurement of the physical property of slope and the situation of vegetative growth, the investigation of vegetation in slopes and the selection of vegetation, and the analysis of soil condition of slopes and the physical condition of slope sediment. On the basis of investigations some alternatives were proposed.Key words: public cemetery, slope protection works, revegetation works

        야뇨증 환아들의 심리사회적 특성에 대한 다기관 연구 : 행동 및 정서 문제를 중심으로

        Objectives : The aim of this study was to examine the behavioral and emotional problems associated with nocturnal enuresis in Korean children. Methods : Three hundred eighteen children with nocturnal enuresis, together with their parents, completed the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), Disruptive Behavior Disorder Scale according to DSM-IV (DBDS), Children's Depression Inventory (CDI), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children (STAIC), and Piers-Harris Children's Self-Concept Scale (PHCSC). Ninety-three normal students were selected as the control group. Results : Compared to the normal control group, the mean scores with regard to the withdrawn, social problems, attention problems, delinquent behavior, aggressive behavior, externalizing problems and total problems profiles were significantly higher in the nocturnal enuresis group according to the CBCL results. The nocturnal enuresis group also scored significantly higher in the ADHD and ODD profiles of the DBDS. The nocturnal enuresis group was more depressed and anxious than the control group according to the results of the CDI and STAI. The mean score of the PHCSC was significantly lower in the nocturnal enuresis group when compared to the normal control group. Conclusion : The results of this study suggest that children with nocturnal enuresis in Korea have clinically relevant behavioral and emotional problems. The findings support the link between nocturnal enuresis and psychopathology in Korean children.

        Epithelial CST1 Promotes Airway Eosinophilic Inflammation in Asthma via the AKT Signaling Pathway

        Purpose: Epithelial cystatin SN (CST1), a type 2 cysteine protease inhibitor, was significantly upregulated in asthma. In this study, we aimed to investigate the potential role and mechanism of CST1 in eosinophilic inflammation in asthma. Methods: Bioinformatics analysis on Gene Expression Omnibus datasets were used to explore the expression of CST1 in asthma. Sputum samples were collected from 76 asthmatics and 22 control subjects. CST1 mRNA and protein expression in the induced sputum were measured by real-time polymerase chain reaction, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and western blotting. The possible function of CST1 was explored in ovalbumin (OVA)-induced eosinophilic asthma. Transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq) was used to predict the possible regulated mechanism of CST1 in bronchial epithelial cells. Overexpression or knockdown of CST1 was further used to verify potential mechanisms in bronchial epithelial cells. Results: CST1 expression was significantly increased in the epithelial cells and induced sputum of asthma. Increased CST1 was significantly associated with eosinophilic indicators and T helper cytokines. CST1 aggravated airway eosinophilic inflammation in the OVA-induced asthma model. In addition, overexpression of CST1 significantly enhanced the phosphorylation of AKT and the expression of serpin peptidase inhibitor, clade B, member 2 (SERPINB2), while knockdown using anti-CST1 siRNA reversed the trend. Furthermore, AKT had a positive effect on SERPINB2 expression. Conclusions: Increased sputum CST1 may play a key role in the pathogenesis of asthma through involvement in eosinophilic and type 2 inflammation through activation of the AKT signaling pathway, further promoting SERPINB2 expression. Therefore, targeting CST1 might be of therapeutic value in treating asthma with severe and eosinophilic phenotypes.

        Three-Dimensional Tolerance Analysis Modelling of Variation Propagation in Multi-stage Machining Processes for General Shape Workpieces

        The quality control of general shape workpieces has become one of research hotspots because of the increasing diversity of products. The theory of stream of variation (SoV) for machining processes is a successful method in researching variation propagation rule. However, with the consideration of all key elements in manufacturing system, there is no unified and integrated model for workpieces in different kinds of shapes. In this paper, a new variation propagation model in multi-stage machining processes for general shape workpieces is established. It visually demonstrates the variation propagation chain and expands the universality of current SoV models. The connection of all key elements in manufacturing system is defined as an assembly chain, in which the variations are defined and propagated by modified three-dimensional tolerance analysis method. The equivalent conversion of the connection between workpiece and fixture realizes the modelling of general shape workpiece regardless of its machining method and locating scheme. Real experiments validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the new SoV model for different shape workpieces. This model has great potential to be applied toward multi-scale variation modelling, process control, and fault diagnosis for general shape workpieces.
