        Objectives: The purpose of this research was to identify the effect of mental health, parenting attitude and attachment on gambling addiction severity among male college students. Methods: Subjects of the research were 292 students recruited from colleges in Seoul, Korea. The questionnaires were composed of CPGI, DASS-21, PBI, ECR-R. The data was statistically analyzed by Chi-square, ANOVA, Scheffe test and Pearson’s correlation. Results: The proportion of moderate-risk gambling and high-risk gambling group was reported 28.1%. There a statistically significant difference between gambling addiction severity groups in Anxiety(F=3.19, p<.05). Statistically significant linear relationship was found between Anxiety and gambling addiction score(r=.15, p<.05). There was statistically significant difference between gambling addiction severity groups in Caring(F=4.74, p<.01). Statistically significant linear relationship was found between Caring and gambling addiction score(r=-2.14, p<.01). There was statistically significant difference between gambling addiction severity groups in Overprotection(F=4.74, p<.01). Statistically significant linear relationship was examined between Overprotection and gambling addiction score(r=.20, p<.01). Significant difference was examined between gambling addiction severity in Attachment Anxiety(F=3.76, p<.05). Attachment Anxiety showed significant linear relationship with gambling addiction score(r=-.17, p<.01). Significant differences were examined between gambling addiction severity in Attachment avoidance (F=3.46, p<.05). Attachment avoidance showed no significant relationship with gambling addiction score(r=-.09, p=.12). Conclusions: This study showed the effect of mental health, parenting attitude and attachment on gambling addiction severity among male college students. Based on the result, it is recommend for nurses to develop intervention to prevent gambling addiction among college students by lowering anxiety, stabilizing attachment through desirable caring attitude from parents.

        20대 여성의 신발종류에 따른 족저압 영역별 비교 연구

The purpose of this study was to investigate the test-retest of plantar pressures using the F-Scan system over speeds and plantar regions. 6 healthy female subjects in 20's were recruited for the study. Plantar pressure measurements during locomotor activities can provide information concerning foot function, particularly if the timing and magnitude of the loading profile can be related to the location of specific foot structures such as the metatarsal heads. The Tekscan F-Scan system consists of a flexible, 0.18mm thick sole-shape having 1260 pressure sensors, the sensor insole was trimmed to fit the subjects' right. left shoes - sneakers shoes & dress shoes. It was calibrated by the known weight of the test subject standing on one foot. The Tekscan measurements show the insole pressure distribution as a function of the time. This finding has important implications for the development of plantar pressure test protocols where the function of the forefoot is important. According to the result of analysis it is as follows : 1) Center of force trajectory in women's dress shoes display direct movement, compare with center of force trajectory in Sneaker shoes displays a little bit curved slow pronation movement. Sneaker shoes in forefoot part display very quick supination movement, therefore, this shoes effects negative effectiveness for ankle's stability. Considering center of force trajectory analyzing, the more center of force close straight line, the more movement can be quick movement for locomotion. For foot pressure distribution, center of force trajectory in locomotion is better to curved trajectory with pronation movement. So sneaker shoes style is good shoes considering center of pressure distribution trajectory compare with women's dress shoes. 2) Women's dress shoes increased peak pressure in medial, this is effected by high hill's height. The more increased women's dress shoes's height, the more women's peak pressure will increase, pronation can increase compare with before. Supination movement increase, this focused pressure in lateral, also, supination increased more. If the supination movement increased, foot pressure focused in lateral, therefore, it is appeared force distribution in gait direction. This is bad movement in foot's stability. 3) Women's dress shoes in landing phase displayed a long time, this is when women's dress shoes wear, gait movement is unbalance, so, landing phase displayed a long time. For compensation in gait, swing phase quick movement. 4) Women's dress shoes displayed peak pressure distribution in lateral of rearfoot part, Sneakers shoes displayed peak pressure distribution in medial of forefoot part. Its results has good impact absorption compare with women's dress shoes. In forefoot part, sneakers shoes has good propulsive force compare with women's dress shoes.

        Start-up strategy and operational tests of gasoline fuel processor for auxiliary power unit

        In order to satisfy the needs for electrical power in future combat systems, a gasoline fuel processor (GFP) for an auxiliary power unit (APU) has been developed. This efficient design of a compact hydrogen-production system thermally and physically integrates the unit processes of autothermal reforming, high- and medium-temperature water gas shift, preferential oxidation, heat exchange and external burner into a single hardware package. The start-up strategy is established to turn the GFP on even at subzero temperature and reach the steady-state rapidly. In consideration of both energy consumption and system size, the sequence is initiated from start-burner mode. The catalytic-partial-oxidation (CPO) mode is second, followed by autothermal reforming (ATR). A glow-plug needed to ignite the gasoline is positioned behind the catalyst to minimize soot generation at start-burner mode. In ATR mode, feed rate of water for each heat exchanger is controlled to operate a reactor at target temperature and reduce the water condensation at surface of catalyst. Based on this start-up strategy, a GFP is able to produce a reformate gas that contained >40 vol.% H<SUB>2</SUB> and <0.5 vol.% CO within 30-35 min at room temperature and -32 <SUP>o</SUP>C. An APU with a GFP shows the stable start-up and continued operation.

        In this paper Dielectric and polarizable properties of 0.9Pb(Mg_(1/3)Nb_(2/3))O_(3)-0.1PbTiO_(3) Ceramics have been investigated as a addition of the amount of La_(2)O_(3)(0≤x≤0.05). The Temperature-dependant electrostictive characteristics of 0.9PMN-0.1PT relaxor ferroelectic system were improved by enhencing the extent of the diffuse phase transition(DPT). This was achieved using PMN-PTceramics by the partial substitution of La at the Pb site. The curie temperature and the maximum dielectic permittivity decreased by substituting La and the electic field-related hysteresis phenomena decreased with increasing La substitution amount.

        Molecular characterization of tocopherol biosynthetic genes in sweetpotato that respond to stress and activate the tocopherol production in tobacco

        <P>Tocopherol (vitamin E) is a chloroplast lipid that is presumed to be involved in the plant response to oxidative stress. In this study, we isolated and characterized five tocopherol biosynthetic genes from sweetpotato (Ipomoea batatas [L.] Lam) plants, including genes encoding 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (IbHPPD), homogentisate phytyltransferase (IbHPT), 2-methyl-6-phytylbenzoquinol methyltransferase (IbMPBQ MT), tocopherol cyclase (IbTC) and gamma-tocopherol methyltransferase (IbTMT). Fluorescence microscope analysis indicated that four proteins localized into the chloroplast, whereas IbHPPD observed in the nuclear. Quantitative RT-PCR analysis revealed that the expression patterns of the five tocopherol biosynthetic genes varied in different plant tissues and under different stress conditions. All five genes were highly expressed in leaf tissues, whereas IbHPPD and IbHPT were highly expressed in the thick roots. The expression patterns of these five genes significantly differed in response to PEG, NaCl and H2O2-mediated oxidative stress. IbHPPD was strongly induced following PEG and H2O2 treatment and IbHPT was strongly induced following PEG treatment, whereas IbMPBQ MT and IbTC were highly expressed following NaCI treatment. Upon infection of the bacterial pathogen Pectobacterium chrysanthemi, the expression of IbHPPD increased sharply in sweetpotato leaves, whereas the expression of the other genes was reduced or unchanged. Additionally, transient expression of the five tocopherol biosynthetic genes in tobacco (Nicotiana bentamiana) leaves resulted in increased transcript levels of the transgenes expressions and tocopherol production. Therefore, our results suggested that the five tocopherol biosynthetic genes of sweetpotato play roles in the stress defense response as transcriptional regulators of the tocopherol production.       • Inhibition of sulfide mineral oxidation by surface coating agents: Batch and field studies

        The potential of several surface coating agents to inhibit the oxidation of metal sulfide minerals from Young-Dong coal mine and the Il-Gwang gold mine was examined by conducting laboratory scale batch experiments and field tests. Powdered pyrite as a standard sulfide mineral and rock samples from two mine outcrops were mixed with six coating agents (KH<SUB>2</SUB>PO<SUB>4</SUB>, MgO and KMnO<SUB>4</SUB> as chemical agents, and apatite, cement and manganite as mineral agents) and incubated with oxidizing agents (H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> or NaClO). For the observed time period (8 days), Young-Dong coal mine samples exhibited the least sulfate (SO<SUB>4</SUB><SUP>2-</SUP>) production in the presence of KMnO<SUB>4</SUB> (16%) or cement (4%) while, for Il-Gwang mine samples, the least SO<SUB>4</SUB><SUP>2-</SUP> production was observed in presence of KH<SUB>2</SUB>PO<SUB>4</SUB> (8%) or cement (2%) compared to control. Field-scale pilot tests at the Il-Gwang site also showed that addition of KH<SUB>2</SUB>PO<SUB>4</SUB> decreased SO<SUB>4</SUB><SUP>2-</SUP> production from 200 to 13mgL<SUP>-1</SUP> and it also reduced Cu and Mn from 8 and 3mgL<SUP>-1</SUP>, respectively to <0.05mgL<SUP>-1</SUP> (below ICP-OES detection limits). The experimental results suggested that the use of surface coating agents is a promising alternative for sulfide oxidation inhibition at acid mine drainage sites.

        Food Label Utilization Rate Analysis Based on Purchasing Situation and Recall Experiments

        The present study evaluated what kind of knowledge could be useful to improve the food label utilization rate by consumers and whether it differed considering the characteristics of the products. A better understanding of the consumer perspective on food label utilization may help stablish future commercial and marketing plans for different products. The collected data revealed that the food label utilization rate may vary depending on the perception of consumers on how important the food label may be during the purchasing process. Therefore, in order to enhance the food label utilization rate by consumers, it is necessary to find ways to promote the food label program and raise awareness among consumers on the importance of food label information.
