        To evaluate the prevalence of cumulative trauma disorders in relation to ergonomic evaluation of their work, 260 female directory assistance operators employed in three branch facilities of the nation-wide telecommunication company. Ergonomic evaluation of the work status was done by two industrial hygienists through inspection. Workers were surveyed with standardized self-administered questionnaire and examined by family physicians and an orthopaedician for cumulative trauma disorders. Laboratory examination of serum aspartate aminotransferase(AST), creatinine phosphokinase(CPK), aldolase and rheumatoid factor was done and X-ray of cervical spine and both shoulders was taken from all subjects and nerve conduction velocity test was done on 57 subjects with suspected nerve entrapment cases. Cumulative trauma disorders were categorized into 3 category according to work-relatedness of the disorders. On ergonomic evaluation of the working posture and work environment, improvement of work posture revealed inappropriate postures and devices. Mean age of the subjects were 39 years old and more than 80% graduated high school or above. Ninety-eight percent of the workers employed in the company for more than 15 years and 74.6% of the workers worked at the VDT job for more than 4 years. Mean daily work hours was 8.0 hours per day and mean break hours was 90.5 minutes per day with mean extra work hours of 10.7 hours per month. Mean daily calls were 1128.6 calls in maximum and 864-8 calls in minimum. On laboratory examination, 13.(5.0%) workers had abnormal AST, 53(20.4%) had abnormal CPK, and 1(0.4%) had abnormal aldolase level. On x-ray examination of cervical spine, 111(42.7%) had loss of or reversed normal cervical lordosis, 10(3.8%) had narrowing of intervertebral space. Nerve conduction velocity test was abnormal in 11(19.2%) among 57 workers. Among disorders categorized as work-related, 131(50.4%) were diagnosed to have fatigue myalgia of levator scapulae, 108(41.5%) had cervical strain or sprain, 47(18.1%) had fatigue arthralgia of phalangeal joints, and 47(18.1%) had probable carpal tunnel syndrome, in 10(3.8%) of those diagnosis was confirmed electrophysiologically. Age, seniority, work duration at present job, workload nor location of facilities were associated with the prevalence of symptoms nor specific diagnoses on simple statistical analysis and multiple logistic regression, which seems to be due to highly selected and homogeneous characteristics of the study subjects. Above results shows that cumulative trauma disorders are very prevalent among directory assistance operators and elaborate effort is needed to reduce the cumulative trauma disorders among the operators.

      • 복합재료 패널의 굽힘 및 비틀림 하중에 대한 유한요소 해석

        This study is to investigate the stiffness degradation in a composite laminated panel including matrix cracks subjected to bending and twisting moments. Micromechanics theory on the composite material is derived by introducing crack density. Iterative numerical scheme is developed to calculate the degraded composite stiffness which has nonlinear relation due to crack density. For the structural analysis of the composite panel, the finite element analysis is used. Structural responses of the composite panel are examined for various laminated angles and crack density under bending and twisting moments. Also, the effect of crack opening and closing is considered in the examination. It is realised that the matrix cracks may cause sever stiffness reduction and should be considered in the composite laminated panel.

      • 석탄폐석의 흡착능 개발 및 흡착제로의 활용방안 연구

        본 연구는 폐기물의 형태로 현재 산과 계곡에 투기되어 있는 석탄페석을 이용하여 중금속 흡착과 난분해성 COD 및 색도제거 가능성을 검토하고, 간단한 열처리를 통한 흡착능 개발 실험을 위하여 수행되었다. 실험 결과 천연상태의 석탄폐석은 약 20∼30%의 중금속 흡착능을 지니고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 탄화 공정인 간단한 열처리 만으로도 약 2 ∼ 5배의 흡착능 향상이 이루어졌다. 그리고 석탄폐석의 열처리 조건 변화에 따른 중금속 흡착능 실험에서는 500℃ 에서 6시간 반응시킨 것이 가장 우수하였다. 칼럼실험에 있어 기존의 입상활성탄 보다 처리효율이 저조하나 석탄폐석은 무가공 상태로도 약 30 ∼ 60%의 COD 및 색도를 제거할 수 있었다. 500℃에서 6시간 열처리된 폐석의 컬럼실험에서 생물학적 유출수의 색도 제거에 우수함을 알 수 있었으며, 중금속 및 COD제거에 있어서는 여과 속도에 따라 많은 차이를 보였다. 본 연구에서는 열처리 공정만 적용한 기초 실험이였으나, 석탄폐석의 흡착제 개발의 가능성을 알 수 있었으며, 활성화 공정을 적용할 경우 흡착능은 더욱 향상될 것으로 판단된다. This reaserch aims to remove the heavy metals, NBDCOD, and color using the coal waste. The expermental by heat treatment. was performed to advance the adsorption capacity. The results are as follows ; ⅰ) The coal waste had the adsorption capacity of heavy metals and the rates were in the range of 20 to 30 percents. ⅱ) The heat treatment was the optimum condition that the reaction time was 6 hours at 500 ℃. ⅲ) In the column experimental, non-treated coal waste removed the COD and color in the range of 20 to 60 percents. ⅳ) Heat-treated coal waste showed the high removal rate of the color in biological effluent, but heavy metal and COD removal rates were changed by the filteration rates.

        Currently, application areas of real-time systems using computers are rapidly increasing. However, development of real-time systems is slow because of the lack of a systematic approach. The heart of the systematic approach is an appropriate model for real-time systems which can abstract temporal and functional behaviors of real-time systems. Many models have been proposed Among them, the TMO (Time-triggered Message-triggered Object) model developed at UCI satisfies above-mentioned requirements. In this paper, we present the design of the C++T(C++Time) language that can specify the TMO model and the process modeling a scenario we propose using the TMO model and programming it. Finally, we conclude by describing additional thoughts on the C++T specification language.

        Changes of free amino acids a s taste compounds during sun drying of shrimp Trachypenaeus curvirostris, were analyzed by amino acid autoanalyzer. Glycine, arginine, proline and alanine were dominant amino acids in fresh extracts, having 44.8%( 6109.9㎎%, on dry base), 21.9% (2989.3㎎%), 10.4% (1418.3㎎%)and 5.9% (805.1㎎%) of the total amino acids, respect-ively. Free amino acids were not changed in composition during sun drying of shrimp. Glycine, arginine, proline and alanine were dominant in both fresh extracts and dried products. In dried extracts,.such amino acids as glycine, arginine, proline and alanine were 44.7% (4162.3㎎%, on dry base), 24.1% (2244.61119 %), 11.7% (1090.l㎎%)and 5.3% (495.8㎎%) of the total amino acids, respectively. It is believed that glycicne, arginine, proline and alanine may play an important role as taste compounds in sun dried shrimp.

        We investigated the effect of aqueous extract of Ammomum xanthioides(AXAE) on immediate hypersensitivity. AXAE inhibited systemic anaphylaxis induced by compound 48/80 in mice. AXAE inhibited serum histamine levels induced by compound 48/80 in mice. Moreover, AXAE dose-dependently inhibited histamine release in peritoneal mast cells activated by compound 48/80. These results indicate that the AXAE may be benificial in the regulation of immediate type allergic reaction.

In this paper, we designed and implemented academic affairs with total system using DBMS installed at MV8000 system and showed many reports such as roll books and lists of student's records and various kinds of statistical reports according to the inputs from each student and professor.

        The ultrastructural changes of erythropoietic cells were studied according to the maturation stages in human fetal liver. The erythropoietic cells were observed in hepatic plates and the most undifferentiated erythropoietic cell was proerythroblast. The cytoplasm of the cell had several mitochondria, RERs and low electron density. The oval nucleus had prominent nucleolus and slight peripheral heterochromatin along the inner nuclear membrane. The size of cells and nuclei became smaller with clumping of chromatin in the course of successive maturation stage, i.e. basophilic, polychromatophilic, and eosinophilic erythroblasts. The nucleus was enucleated from full-mature eosinophilic erythroblast and phagocytized by Kupffer cell lining sinusoidal wall. The intracellular organelles underwent, degeneration and the size became smaller with maturation. But the electron density of cytoplasm increased due to accumulation of hemoglobin. The erythropoietic cells appeared in cell mass composed of 5-10 cells, and made bleb-like cytoplasmic processes. In addition, the cells in granulocytopoiesis and megakaryocytopoiesis were found. In summary, it is suggested that the erythropoiesis formed in hepatic plates is initiated by hemopoietc stem cell originated from mesoderm of yolk sac.
