Recently, the robustness against daily impact is important according to portablization and downsizing of mobile electronics. Especially, almost parts of cellular phone should undergo drop test when they fall 1.5 m above ground. This test simulates the case when cellular phone slips through user's fingers while he is talking on the phone. This paper studies a drop test of auto focusing (AF) actuator for camera module in cellular phone. This component is composed of voice coil motor (VCM) as an actuator and leaf spring as a guide and suspension. The leaf spring's deformation is essential for the test because its permanent distortion disables the focusing, and then, a high quality photograph cannot be obtained. Up to now the drop test has been carried out after fabricating real AF actuator. We propose a dropt test model which simulates the drop test based on finite element analysis. This model makes us enable investigate the stress acting on the clamping and curved parts of leaf spring. Stress over Von Mises criterion lets the spring deformed permanently, and then AF actuator malfunctioned, It helps us to design and modify AF actuator without manufacturing the real product. And also, it saves the time and cost for the development of new products.

Pesticides were extracted from samples with 70% acetone and methylene chloride in order, and then cleaned up via open-column chromatography apparatus packed with florisil, and finally analyzed simultaneously the organochlorine and pyrethroid pesticides using GC(ECD). An ultra-2 fused silica capillary column was used to separate and identify the products. The resolution between the last isomeric peak of cypermethrin(59.987min) and the first isomeric peak of flucythrinate(60.043min) was not satisfactory. The last isomeric peak of fenvalerate(62.344min) and the first isomeric peak of fluvalinate(62.397min) were overlapped. Recoveries of soybean sample for the most pesticides were 73.3% to 102.4%. Detection limits were between 0.004 and 0.063 ㎍/㎎ when this method was used.

As the micro technology and miniaturization of a structure and component in the last couple of decades have been concretely realized, the understanding of structural and dynamic characteristics and prediction of dynamic behavior are indispensable to the miniaturized structures and micro machines. This paper shows the effect of dynamic characteristics in bolt-jointed structures by comparing natural frequencies and mode shapes between macro and micro-scale beams through experimental modal analysis and finite element analysis with a1 8 test models by materials, by size, and by joining condition; that is, SS41 and A16061-T651, micro and macro, and monolithic beam and bolt-jointed beam.

서울의 Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae 발생빈도(1998)

In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

The debate between Modernity and Post-Modernity, which happened during the latter part of the last century, broke our trust in reason, progress, and scientific world-view and provided a new knowledge horizon of history and human through various theoretical guidance. The debate on Modernity, especially debate on how to understand Post-Modernity in the area of literature, brought numerous dispute in the domestical academic society. At the age of new paradigm, century of sensibility and consumption rather than century of theory and ideology, this paper re-examined the issue of Modernity: last century's debate that nobody seems to remember today. In this context, this paper reviewed the eurocentristic nature of Modernity from its theoretical starting point, Latin America. The questions addressed in this paper are as follows: What kind of role is Latin America playing in the establishment of Modernity? On what kind of mechanism is 'coloniality of power' operating in the colonial reign of Latin America? Finally, what kind of truth is a myth of Europe functioning as a core unit of Modernity hiding? Examining the role of Latin America in relation with Modernity debate can show that even Post-Modernity itself, which tries to point out and overcome the limitations of Modernity, is operating within the Eurocentristic framework in a way. Especially, examining how the logic of Modernity is operating inside of Latin America, where western Modernity formed its direct physical basis, will be able to provide some suggestions in relation to our situation. At the age of globalization, taking Modernity as an issue and reviewing the geopolitical position of Latin America in this matter can also play a very important role in understanding Latin American culture. In other words, without understanding the logic of how Modernity operates in Latin America, it is practically, impossible to build the theoretical basis that can overcome the hegemony of neoliberalism or globalization which is the most modern and powerful form of Modernity. Through this process, this paper expanded the context of Modernity debate, reorganized the Latin American culture through Modernity debate in Latin America, and explored the theoretical foundation which can be used for a new interpretation of Modernity.

천측두동맥에 발생한 가성동맥류 1예

The authors report a case of false aneurysm of the superficial temporal artery which manifested after operation for FCCD. An aneurysm of the superficial temporal artery is a rare disease. In collected literature, the incidence of superficial temporal artery aneurysms ranged from 0.5 to 2.5 percent of all aneurysms for which surgery was performed. False aneurysm should be suspected when a mass, which may or may not be pulsatile, appears in the scalp region after recent trauma. Troublesome(but not life-threatening) bleeding may occur if the lesion is unrecognized, and an attempt is made to "shell it out" as though it were an epidermal inclusion cyst.

강원도 속초시 해녀 <노 젓는 노래>와 생애력 조사

필자가 2001년 12월 23일 강원도 속초시에서 채록한 제주도 출신 해녀인 이기순(李基順)의 생애력을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 제보자 이기순은 제주도 북제주군 조천면 북촌리에서 1924년 4월 11일에 태어났다. 40년간 부장을 했던 제보자의 아버지가 바깥 물질을 못나가게 해서 북촌리에서만 살았는데, 미역만 채취했다고 한다. 당시 북촌리에는 테우와 거룻배를 포함해서 한 집에 두세 척씩은 다 있었다고 한다. 15살 무렵 5월경에 동갑나기 4∼5명과 '똥싼짐이'라는 바위로 물질을 나갔다가 상어를 만나 목숨이 위태로운 상황에 처하기도 했다 미역 許採가 있는 날은 해녀배를 일렬로 정렬시키고 순경이 총을 쏴서 출발 신호를 알렸다고 한다. 이웃에 사는 할머니는 아이를 낳은 지 3일만에 미역을 채취하러 물질 나갔다고도 한다. 남편이 죽고, 9살 난 딸도 교통사고로 죽자, 반쯤은 미쳐서 제주도 여러 지역을 돌아다니다가 바다에 빠져 죽으려고 여객선을 타고 27살에 초용으로 부산에 왔다가 거제도에서 3년을 살았다. 거제도에서는 주로 미역을 채취했는데, 바다 주인인 선주와 제보자는 6 대 4의 비율로 수익을 나눴다고 한다. 이 때 버드네[거제시 장목면 유호리]가 고향인 남편을 만나 명태잡이 하러 주문진으로 이주했는데 파도에 배를 3척이나 잃고 많은 빚을 졌다. 32세 무렵에 세 살배기 딸을 데리고 속초로 이주해서 지금까지 살고 있는데, 별명이 '머구리 상군'이라는 별명이 붙을 만큼 대상군이었다. 이주할 당시의 속초는 10리에 집이 한 채 정도 있었고, 부월리와 영금정 해녀는 50명 정도였는데 해녀회장을 10년 정도 했다. 주로 미역만 채취하다가 성게, 전복, 해삼도 해취했는데, 한 달에 2만원을 어촌계비로 내고 나머지는 모두 제보자의 수익이었다고 한다. 가끔씩 난바르를 갔는데 1∼2만원 정도 일당을 받았다고 한다. 속초 원주민들은 해녀들의 두렁박을 부수고 심지어 해녀를 거지로 취급했다고 한다. 하지만 제주 출신 해녀의 아들인 마라톤 선수 황영조가 1992년 바로셀로나 올림픽에서 금메달을 딴 이후로는 제주 출신 해녀들에 대한 인식이 많이 달라졌다고 한다. 속초로 이주해서 동명동 영금정 부근에 있는 집을 14만 원에 사서 살았는데, 딸이 중학교 1학년 다닐 때 파도에 유실되자 다시 6만 5천원을 주고 산 초가집을 기와집으로 개조하여 살았다. 그러다가 집이 좁아서 36만원을 주고 40평짜리 집으로 이사갔는데 도시계획에 묶여 현재 거주하는 영금정 아파트를 보상받았다고 한다. 櫓는 제주도와 거제도에서만 저어 봤는데, 노는 3개나 5개가 있는 배였다고 한다. 노가 5개인 배에는 해녀들이 30명 정도 탔다고 한다. 〈노 젓는 노래〉는 제주도 북촌리에서 처음 배웠고, 주로 경남 거제도에서 노를 저어 뱃물질 나갈 때 불렀는데, 자신의 신세를 한탄하며 많이 불렀다고 한다. 거제도에서 뱃물질 나갈 때, 교통사고로 죽은 딸자식을 생각하는 사설[8∼9번 자료]의 노래를 지어서 부르니 해녀들이 모두 울었다고 한다. 강원도는 제주도나 전라도처럼 물때가 없기 때문에 아무 때나 물질나가고 쉬는 날이 없다고 한다. 또한 탄 배의 노를 저어서 가는 '뱃물질'은 안하고, 헤엄쳐서 가는 '??물질'만 한다고 한다. 따라서 강원도에서는 물질 나갈 때 〈노 젓는 노래〉를 부르는 일이 없다고 한다. 하지만 혼자서 헤엄치고 물질 나갈 때는 〈노 젓는 노래〉를 부르기도 했는데, 요즘은 밤에 누워 있다가 고향 생각이 나면 부를 때도 있다고 한다. 현재 속초시 동명동 영금정에 거주하는 제주 출신 해녀는 10명 내외라고 한다.

두개저 골절 환자의 임상적 고찰

The authors analyzed 147 cases of basal skull fracture which were treated in the Department of Neurosurgery, Chungnam National University Hospital from Janwuy 1989 to December 1992. These fractures are difficult to diagnose by ordinary X-ray examination and are freguently inferred by clinical signs. The clinical features and radiological findings were reviewed. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows 1) The basal skull fractures were more common in men than women-the ratio being 6 1 1. 2) In decreasing order of cause of basal skull fractures were traffic accident~(77%), fall down, assault and slipping. 3) The minor head injury, Glasgow Coma Scale Score(GCS) of 13 to 15, was 79 cases(54%), the moderate head injury 40 cases(27%) and the severe head injury 18 cases(1996). 4) In decreasing order of clinical features were otorrhea(71 I) rhinorrhea(4856) and raccoon eye(33%) etc. 5) In decreasing order of the combined pathologies were skull fracture(55I 1, subdural hema-toma(l7%), epidural hematoma(l6%) and intraerebral hematoma(l2I) etc. 6) The facial nerve, vestibulocochlear nerve and optic nerve were the most commonly injured cranial nerve. 7) CSF leakage was noted in 139 cases and among them immediate type was far more common(%%) than the delayed type. 8) The incidence of meningitis was 5.4% and most of them associated with CSF leakage and the prophylatic antibiotic treatment has no effect to decrease infection rate. 9) In decreasing order of the frequency associated injuries were facial bone fracture (47%), clavicle fracture(19%), lower extremitics fracture(9%) and upper extremcties fracture(7%) etc.
