        부산·울산·경남지역 직업병 감시체계

        Objective: Occupational medicine specialists in the Busan, Ulsan and Kyung-Nam areas established an area-based occupational disease surveillance system and used this system to collected case information for the purpose of preventing occupational diseases Methods: l l hospital participated in this system. The authors selected five main diseases, which were hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), work-related musculoskeletal disorder (WRMSD), occupational asthma, occupational skin disease and occupational and occupational lung cancer and established their case definitions. All cases were reported on the web, and real time analysis was conducted. Results: Between April 2001 and April 2003, 192 cases of HAVS, 118 cases of WRMSD, 33 cases of occupational asthma, 17 cases of occupational skin disease and 17 cases of occupational lung cancer (for a total of 377 cases of these five main diseases) were reported. most of the HAVS cases came from shipbuilding, and 172 of them (92.7%) were associated with grinding. Of the four main types of WRMSD, carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) was the most prevalent with 46 cases and shipbuilding was also the main industry involved (83.9%). The ergonomic risk factors involved mainly associated with the hand. In 19 (57.6%) and 4 (12.1%) cases of occupational asthma, the agents involved. The causative agents of occupational lung cancer included Cr, welding fume, PAH, Ni, etc. 10(58.8%) of the cases were diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma and 5(29.4%) as adenoma. Conclusion: This result showed that an area-based occupational disease surveillance system might provide an effective method of evaluating the prevalence of such diseases, however the Busan, Ulsan and Kyung-Nam provinces are too large to be treated as individual areas. Therefore, the authors suggest that each province should establish its own surveillance system.

        양식장 배출물 발효물의 어류 사료 첨가에 따른 넙치, Paralichthys olivaceus의 혈액학적 변동에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 우리나라 주요 양식어류인 넙치, Paralichthys olivaceus를 대상으로 육상수조식양식장 배출물 발효물의 어류 사료 첨가에 따른 혈액학적 변동에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 젖산균 및 효모를 사용하여 발효한 양식장 배출물의 이화학적 분석을 실시하였고, 발효물을 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 및 5.0% 농도로 8주간 투여하였다. 투여 4주째 및 8주째에 각 투여 구간별로 혈액학적 항목을 중심으로 그 차이를 확인하였다. 배출물 발효농도별 유의한 차이는 나타나지 않았지만, 분석시기에 따른 적혈구수, 혈색소 농도 및 혈색소 지수가 증가하는 경향을 나타내었으나, 주요 혈청 무기 및 유기성분은 배출 발효물 농도별로 유의한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 또한 혈청 효소학적 조사에서는 조사시기별로 변동은 나타났지만, 동일 조시시기에서 각 구간별 유의한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 이러한 육상 약식장 유래의 배출물 발효산물에 대한 다양한 방면의 연구가 진행되어야겠다. Effects of oral administration with fermented product from sewage in land-based seawater fish farm on haematological disturbance in the olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus was investigated. After 4 weeks of conditioning with a basal diet, fish were divided into 4 groups and provided experimental diet (0.1,0.5, 1.0 and 2.0%) supplement of fermented sewage for 80 days. Proximal analysis was performed for the product of sewage which was fermented by lactic acid and yeast. RBC count, hemoglobin concentration and hematocrit value were increased according to the treated periods, however, no statistical difference was observed between control and treatment groups. There were no significant difference in serum organic, inorganic compounds and enzyme activities between control and treatment groups. This study hypothesized that the supplement of fermented product from sewage in land-based seawater fish farm might be an additive sup plement for source of fish diet in view of haematological examination. Recycling of the sewage may be an economic artificial sources of diet for fish aquaculture practices.

      • 珍島産 枸杞의 部位別 지방산 및 아미노산 組成

        진도산 구기의 부위별 지방산및 마미노산 조성을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 전지질에 대한 지방산 조성은 구기자는 필수지방산인 linoleic acid 가 총지방산함량 중 76.8%로 매우 높았으나 linolenic acid 는 미량 검출되었고, 구기엽은 linolenic acid 함량이 41.5% 로 가장 높았으며 oleic acid가 미량 검출되었다. 지골피는 포화지방산인 palmitic acid가 40.8% 로 가장 높았다. 아미노산 조성은 구기자 Glu 가 1.64% 로 가장 높았으며 His, Arg,Leu 등의 순으로 함유되어 있었고, 구기엽은 Leu이 1.26%로 가장 높았으며,지골피는 Glu가 0.79%로 가장 높았다. 유리아미노산 의 총함량은 구기자가 1.5%로서 총유리아미노산에 대한 필수아미노산의 조성비가 24.3%였고, 구기엽과 지골피의 경우는 총유리 아미노산 함량이 약 450mg%로 비슷하였으며 열매에 비해서는 크게 낮은 수준이었으나 지골피는 필수 아미노산이 차지하는 비율이 29.0%로 열매나 잎보다 높은 결과를 나타내었다. Fatty acid and amino acid composition in fruits, leaves and roots of Lycium chinese Mill were analyzed. Major fatty acid in fruit lipid was 76.8% linoletic acid while linolenic acid was trace. Also, major fatty acid in leaves was 41.5% linolenic acid and that of roots was 40.8% palmitic acid. Amino acids were 12.2% in fruits, 13.7% in leaves and 8.3% in roots. Among them, Glu, His, Arg Leu in fruits were abundant while Leu in leaves was 1.3g%,the highest. Free amino acids in fruits were 1.5% and essential amino contents was 24.3%. There was no great difference in free amino acids between leaves and roots while the ratio of essential amino acids in roots was 29.0% which is higher than that in fruits and leaves.

        The purpose for this study was to improve the thermal environment and lighting environment in classroom. There is close correlation between educational environment and learning efficiency. So, in order to manage suitable condition it is necessary to study the characteristic of the classroom. The study carried out with two different ways on the classrooms. The results were divided into three cases and evaluated by discomfort index and uniformity ratio. By this evaluation, we were able to verify the problems of existing classrooms. And we looked for improvement method based on active control & passive control in classrooms. The results have shown that there was a need for a suitable control method in these classrooms.

        주편 연속주조시 Thermal Soft Reduction 적용에 의한 중심 편석 개선

        Centerline macrosegregation is one of the most significant problems in continuous casting on stainless steel slabs. Numerical model have been developed in order to decrease centerline macrosegregation during continuous casting of STS 420J2 stainless steel slab. Extra cooling zone and extra cooling water quantity are determined by iterative coupled analysis of heat transfer and segregation. Segregation ratio is decreased by the intensive cooling at the extra cooling zone above the solid fraction of the slab center 0.7, so called thermal soft reduction (TSR). The experimental results show good agreements with numerical results.

        Bechet's disease(BD) is a chronic inflammatoroy condition involving several organs inclu-ding gastrointestinal tract. Gastrointestinal tracts involvement in BD has been identified throughout the entire alimentary tract and commonly accompanies ulcerative lesions in the small and large bowel. It is debatable whether BD could be included among seronegative spondyloarthropathy (SPA).SPA usually occurs without overt sign of intestinal inflammation, but significant number of patients have asymptomatic intestinal inflammation, usually affecting ileum. Since most patients with SPA in-cluding BD are treated with NSAIDS. However, NSAID may play a role in aggravation or provo-cation of intestinal inflammation. Special attention to asymptomatic intestinal inflammation is needed, especially when NSAIDs are used for management of arthritic symptom in SpA. We experienced a case of BD which was complicated by a massive small bowel bleeding precipitated by NSAID use. 저자들은 베체트병 환자에서 비스테로이드성 소염진통제 사용 후 발생한 대량 소장 출혈의 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

        낙동강 물 관개논의 농업환경 특성과 질소, 인산 요구량

        낙동강 물을 관개하여 벼를 재배하는 강 상류의 안동 풍산에서부터 하류의 부산 구포까지 7개 지역 논토양의 농업환경 특성을 1999년부터 2년간 비교 분석하였다. 토양의 중금속 함량은 자연함량 안팎이었으며 가장 높았던 곳은 부산 강서 지역이었고 다음으로는 고령 성산 지역이었다. 그러나 현미중의 중금속은 자연함량 이하를 보였다. 토양의 화학성은 고령 성산지역과 부산 강서지역에서 높았는데, 1999~2000년도의 영농 후 토양에서 고령은 pH (5.9~6.1), EC(0.8~0.9 dS/m), 유효인산(155~201 mg/kg), 치환성 칼슘(6.7~7.4 cmol^(+)//kg), 치환성 마그네슘(1.92~2.50 cmol^(+)/kg), 치환성 칼리(0.18~0.21 cmol^(+)//kg )가 가장 높았고 부산에서는 유기물(23.0~29.1 g/kg), 총질소(1.6~l.8 mg/kg)가 가장 높았다. 낙동강 물의 관개수질과 토양화학성을 고러한 벼의 진단시비량은 질소의 경우 110 kg/ha를 기준으로 안동 21.4%, 상주 11.85, 구미지역에서 8.8% 정도 증시할 필요가 있었으나, 고령에서는 14.9%, 창녕은 4.6%, 밀양 하남은 4.55, 부산 강서지역은 11.5% 내외로 줄일 수 있을 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 인산질 비료는 45 kg/ha 기준으로 창녕 도천에서만 18.9% 줄여 주고 다른 지역에서는 기본시비량인 30 kg/ha만 시용하여도 무방할 것으로 판단되었다. 논토양에 분포하는 세균과 사상균, 방선균, 중온성 Bacillus, 형광성 Pseudomonas, Biomass C는 유기물과 총 질소, 인산 등의 양분함유량이 많았던 고령 성산과 그 하류지역에서 높았다. Agroenvironmental characteristics in paddy fields irrigated with the water of Nagdong river were analyzed along the river watershed for two years from 1999. The sites monitored from upper reaches of the river were Andong, Sangju, Gumi, Goryeong, Changnyeong, Milyang and Pusan. In paddy soils, the contents of heavy metals such as Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb, Ni, Zn and As were around natural values showing the highest values in Pusan followed by Goryeong. In brown rice, the contents of heavy metals were lower than natural values. Soil chemical properties appeared higher values in the lower reaches including Goryeong than the upper ones. The highest parameters in Goryeong were pH (5.9~6.1), EC (0.8~0.9 dS/m), Av.P₂O_(5) (155~201 mg/kg), exchangeable Ca (6.7~7.4 cmol^(+)/kg), Mg (1.92~2.50 cmol^(+)/kg), K (0.18~0.21 cmol^(+)/kg) and those in Pusan were organic matter (23.0~29.1 g/kg) and T-N (1.6~1.8 mg/kg). In conclusion, the recommended rates of N fertilizer for rice cropping were 21.4%, 11.8% and 8.8% high for Andong, Sangju and Gumi, respectively and 14.9%, 4.6%, 4.5% and 11.5% low for Goryeong, Changnyeong, Milyang and Pusan, respectively reflecting the chemical properties of soils and the quality of irrigation water on the basis of 110 kgN/ha. In the case of phosphorous, the rates were 18.9% and 33.3% low for Changnyeong and others, respectively on the basis of 45 kgP₂O_(5)/ha. The populations of bacteria, fungi, actinomycetes, Bacillus, fluorescent Pseudomonas and Biomass C were high at the lower reaches including Goryeong, which showed relatively much nutrient contents of organic matter, total N and phosphorous etc..

      • 전립선 기질세포의 증식과 COX-2 발현에 대한 프로게스테론의 영향

        전립선비대증은 노인 남성에서 흔히 유발되는 질환이며, 노화가 진행될 수록 빈도가 높아지는 특징을 가진다. 이 질환의 원인은 전립선기질세표의 과도한 증식으로 유발된다고 알려져 있지만 그 자세한 기전에 대해서는 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 전립선비대증에서 progesterone 수용체 양성 세포가 다른 전립선 종양에 비해서 많고, progesterone은 testosterone에서 DHT로 전환되는 것을 감소시키는 역할을 가진다고 알려졋다. 또한 남성 전립선 평활근의 과증식에 의한 질환이므로 평활근 세포의 증식과 관련성이 있다고 보고된 COX-2의 전립선비대증에 대한 영향에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 전립선 기질세포에 progesterone을 3일간 투여하여 배양한 경우 기질세포 증식은 차이가 없었다. Progesterone을 단독 또는 DHT와 같이 투여한 기질세포에서 남성호르몬 수용체 mRNA 발현은 비처리군과 비교하여 유의한 차이가 없었다. 또한 progesterone과 DHT 동시 투여에 의한 COX-2 mRNA 발현에도 차이가 없었다. 그러나 progesterone에 의한 남성 호르몬 수용체와 COX-2 단백 발현에서는 대조군과 비교하여 유의하게 감소시켰다. 이상의 결과는 progesterone은 남성호르몬 수용체에 대해 전사 후 반응 (post-transcriptional response)에 효과를 나타내어 남성호르몬 수용체 발현을 감소시키는 작용은 가지며, COX-2 발현 억제효과를 나타내므로 전립선비대증의 치료에 이용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. Background: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is the most common benign tumor in older men; the etiology of this disease remains poorly understood. Testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) both act as androgen via a single androgen receptor. Testosterone is converted to DHT by 5α-reductase in prostatic stromal cells. Progesterone has been reported to inhibit DHT conversion; howevwe, its effect on prostatic stromal cells remains to be elucidated. Materials and Methods: In this experiment, we investigated the effect of progesterone on androgen receptor expression induced by DHT. We also tested the effect of progesterone on cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression, as well as prostate stromal cell proliferation using the cell count kit-8. Results: Progesterone did not cause an increase of prostate stromal cell proliferation. The mRNA expression of the androgen receptor and COX-2 were not changed by progesterone; the expressions of androgen receptor and COX-2 proteins were decreased by progesterone in prostate stromal cells. Conclusion: These results suggest that in prostate stromal cells, progesterone decreases androgen receptor protein expression, which results in decrement of COX-2 protein expression. This effect might be mediated by post-transcriptional regulation.

      • 실험동물에서의 내분비계 교란물질인 DEHP, DBP의 생체내 영향

        The major protocol features of the rodent uterotrophic assay have been evaluated using a range of reference chemicals. The protocol variables considered include the selection of the test species and route of chemical administration, the age of the test animals, the maintenance diet used, and the specificity of the assay for estrogens. The rodents were ovariectomized under general anesthesia via bilateral flank incisions and randomly assigned to groups of 5 animals. This study investigated the estrogenic effects of phthalates, which are DEHP and DBP, suspected as endocrine disruptors. It is concluded that three daily subcutaneous administration of test chemicals, which are di-ethylhexyl phthalate(DEHP) and di-n-butyl phthalate(DBP), to 9 week-old rodents. The results revealed that DEHP & DBP show similar uterotrophic activity in the rat and the mouse, using subcutaneous administration. DEHP and DBP failed to affect any of these parameters, which are body weight, mammary gland, vaginal and uterus histopathology. but, DBP increased uterus weight to only one rat of 1.0 g/kg group. The results conform the need for rigorous attention to experimental design and criteria for assessing estrogenic activity.
