개에서 관찰된 모기질세포종의 증례보고

Pilomatricoma was histopathologically diagnosed in a 2.5-year-old male Alaskan malamute. The patient was referred to Chungnam National University, Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital with solitary, firm and well-circumscribed mass at shoulder. Grossly, the mass was dome shaped to tumor like and 10 x 8 x 5㎝ in size. Some lesions had gritty or bony consistency and was chalky when sectioned Histopathologic feature included mumerous clusters of tightly arranged, basaloid cells with evenly distributed chromatin and ghost cells were characterized by a central unstained zone. The ghost cells often become calcified and osseous metaplasia was also present.

Acute torsion of the ovary and ovarian mass is a recognized surgical emergency, but rarely has the diagnosis been made preoperatively on the basis of imaging studies. The sonographic findings in 14 cases of surgically proven torsion of the ovary and ovarian mass are described. Mostly cystic ovarian mass, engorged vessel, dilated uterine tube, beak-like echo(torsion site), smooth mass wall thickening an free-fluid collection in cul-de-sac are described. More significant in terms of specificity were the demonstration in 6 cases(42.9%) of the smooth mass wall thickening and in 8 cases(57.1%) of a free fluid in the cul-de-sac. We report the sonographic findings of ovary and ovarian mass torsion that may suggest the preoperative diagnosis of this condition.

Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.

완전 방실차단을 동반한 급성 심근염

급성 심근염환자에서 발행한 완전 방실차단을 영구 심장박동 조율기로 치료한 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Myocarditis, an inflammatory process involving the myocardal wall, may be caused by most infectious agents. Irrespective of its etiology, it presents commonly with evidence of heart failure, hypotension, and various electrocardiographic abnormalities. Patient with myocarditis may be asymptomatic or may have a rapidly progressive fatal disease. Medical management of patients with myocarditis includes specific therapy for underlying infection and control of the complication of myocarditis such as congestive heart failure and arrhythmia. Recently we had experienced myocarditis with complete atrioventricular block in 37-year-old man. Although he had shown complete recovery of heart failure, he had shown complete atrioventricular block, so we inserted permanent pacemaker. We report it with review of the literature.

과학학습에서 불일치 상황에 대면한 초등학생의 인지갈등 측정 도구 개발

The purpose of this study was to develop an Instrument for the Measurement of Cognitive Conflict Levels of students who confronted with an anomalous situation in science learning. Anomalous situation is generated when students' prediction is disconsistent with the observed fact. In this study, the researchers identified 4 components of cognitive conflict and developed three items for each component. The items were developed and revised by four pilot tests. In the first pilot test, 55 elementary school students participated in the test. In the second pilot test, 88 students of the 5th and 6th grader participated in the test. The instrument of measuring cognitive conflict levels was given to the subjects right after demonstrating anomalous situation. For the demonstration, two different problem situations were developed: one was a pulley problem and the other was electric bulbs in parallel. Answered reasons for each items were analyzed to assess students' understanding on each items. In third pilot test, 125 elementary school students participated in the test. A factor analysis of the responses was carried out and reliability of the test was assessed by calculating internal consistency values. The items were finalized by three pilot tests. After 1 month after the third pilot test, researchers conducted the finalized test items to 323 students of the 5th and 6th grader. The final instrument showed moderate reliability (Cronbach-α 0.82∼0.87) and good content validity(0.93). A factor analysis of the response was carried out. 4 main factors completely coincided with 4 components that we supposed to be the conducts of cognitive conflict. The instrument can provide a means for both teachers and researchers to assess the cognitive conflict of a large number of students within a single class period. The results can be used by teachers to better understand the process of conceptual change of their students and to match instruction and materials accordingly.

AbstractThis study focused on the function of the career management, or the process of career management for the company.In the stage of planning, employees should set the career process, crystallizing the completion of the above mentioned, a company should support the backing of career plan, the career counselling, and the setting of career process.In the stage of career development, a company should help the career development and advancement for the employees to enhance their careers through the placement and transfer, the education training, and promotion.In the stage of career control, a company should do the career evaluation and feedback its result to the employees. To complete these processes of career management, the building up the databases, the establishment of promotion path and qualification system, and the evaluation of result and potentiality should be well supported.

非線型計量模型과 켬퓨터 Algorithm

In recent years, the advent of advanced computer technology has made it possible for the econometrician to estimate an increasing number of non-linear regression models. Non-linearity arises in many diverse ways in econometric applications. The estimations for nonlinear econometric models are, in some cases, derived by transformation of the model into linear models. Unfortinately, for many applied problems, nonlinear specifications can not be avoided. Perhaps the general non-linear models are used in the estimation of production and coat functions. In order to estimate the parameters in the nonlinear model, the objective function has to be specified. From the objective function we can derive either a sum of squared errors or likelihood function on which we apply a numerical optimization method. To use the nunerical optimigation method, we have to select a robust numerical algorithm which can be applicable to a particular econometric model. Also to find a grobal optimum of the objective function, appropriate initial point should be choosed. For nonlinear models, the properties of estimators and test statistics can only be derived approximately or asymptotically. Test for a general hypothesis can he performed by using the asymptotic x²distribution of the Wald, the Rao or the likelihood ratio test statistic under the condition of normally distributed errors. Although the discussion of techniques and methods for estimation in nonlinear models has substantially improved during recent years, many problems are still unsolued. It is difficult to choose the optimal algorithm out of the set of available techniques for a particalar model. Asymptotic properties in the non-linear model are only valid for large-sample sizes. In practise, we typically work with small or moderate samples. Therefore the small-sample and asymptotic distribution of the estimators or test statistics may differ substantially in practice.
