      • 韓國의 팰리트 풀 시스템(Pallet poll system) 導入에 관한 硏究

        Economic growth consists of three factors, production, consumption and distribution. In Korea, the field of distribution did not, in fact, keep pace with those of the other two factors. The purpose of this paper is to make use of the physical distributrion management and the pallet pool system for the modernization of the distribution industry in Korea. The pps(pallet pool system) shows a significant contribution in reduction of the transportation cost and in systematic operation of transportation, by unifying and pooling size and measure of pallet in the society. It is expected that the distribution industry in Korea will be modernized by introducing pps in this field with the cooperation of government and private industries.

        Unit load system 구축에 관한 연구

        물류에서 가장 핵심을 이루는 ULS(Unit load system)은 화물을 단위화(Unit load)해서 하역을 기계화하고 수송·보관·포장 등의 물류시스템을 합리화는 구조를 의미한다. 따라서 물류작업을 기계화, 자동화, 공동화로 유도하면서 생산성(Productivity)을 높이고자 하는 것이 ULS의 기본목적이다. ULS 구축을 위해서는 물류 표준화 작업이 선결되어야 하며 이를 위해서는 Palletization과 Containerization 그리고 Unitzation이 상호 밀접한 상관관계를 내포하고 있다는 점도 주목해야 한다. 본고에서는 먼저 ULS에 대한 개념정립을 제시하고 물류모듈(Module)과 ULS의 관련성을 총괄적으로 분석하였다. 이어서 ULS 구축을 위한 Unit load size의 산출과 원칙, 그리고 물류표준화와 직결된 포장모듈과 ULS의 정합성(Uniform)을 지적하였다. 또한 ULS 구축의 기본요건과 설계단계를 설명하면서 결론적으로 ULS 구축시에 발생되는 경제적 효과를 정리하였다. 오늘날 한국이 동북아 물류중심국가와 물류선진국이 되기 위해서는 거시적 측면에서 물류인프라의 지속적인 구축도 필요하지만 미시적 측면에서 ULS 구축과 제도적 정비문제도 시급한 과제로 부상되고 있다는 점을 간과해서는 아니된다. 일본은 통상성의 위탁으로 ULS에 대한 산·학·연의 공동연구보고서가 연차적으로 발간되고 있다. 그러나 한국은 아직도 ULS에 대한 심도있는 연구가 미진한 상황이며 동 분야는 산·학·연 공동으로 계속 참여해야 할 연구과제임을 부언하고 싶다. The Unit Load System (ULS) pursues the mechanization of freight handling by unitizing freights as well as the rationalization of overall logistics systems such as transportation, warehousing and packaging. The basic purpose of the ULS is to improve the productivity as well as to promote the mechanization, automation and collaboration of logistics operations. The standardization efforts are essential for the establishment of the ULS. Furthermore, the relationship among the palletization, containerization and unitization should be carefully considered. This paper suggests the concepts of the ULS and analyzes the relationship between the concepts of modules and ULS in the logistics operations. It exploits the methods and principles to calculate the unit load size. It explains the issue of uniformity between the package module and ULS. The basic requirements and design steps for the establishment ULS are described. The economic benefits from the establishment of ULS are summarized. This paper finally suggests the microscopic approaches such as the establishment of ULS are equally and practically more important than the macroscopic approaches such as continuous investment for logistics infrastructure.

        Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.

        Central diabetes insipidus (DI) is a syndrome characterized by thirst, polydipsia and polyuria. Langerhans cell histiocytosis is one of the etiologies of DI. Recently we experienced a central DI associated with Langerhans cell histiocytosis. The 44 years old female patient complained right hip pain polydipsia and polyuria. We carried out water deprivation test. After vasopressin injection, urine osmotic pressure was increased form 109mOsmol/Kg to 327mOsmol/Kg (300%). Brain MRI showed a thickened pituitary stalk and at hot bone CT.CT guided biopsy revealed abnormal histiocytes proliferation and abundant lymphocytes, The final diagnosis was central DI associated with systemic Langerhans cell histiocytosis invading hip bone, L-spine and pituitary stalk. Desmopressin and etoposide chemotherapy were performed to the patient.

      • 독성물질의 세포사 기전 및 세포사 유발물질의 검색법 개발에 관한 연구(Ⅰ) : 독성물질로 인한 파킨슨병 모델에서의 세포사 기전 연구 Study on the cell-death mechanisms of toxin-induced parkinsonism

        MPTP 독성물질이 도파민성 신경세포에 선택적으로 작용하여 산화성 손상에 의한 신경세포사를 일으키는 것을 이용하여 파킨슨병의 동물모델을 만들고, 이를 통해서 아폼토시스를 비롯한 포사의 기전에 대한 연구 및 너코틴의 신경세포 보호효과 여부를 판정하는 실험을 병행하고자 하였다. 파킨슨꾐의 동물모델을 MPTf 독성 물질을 이용하여 확립하였으며, MPTP(30mgag, i.p.)를 투여한 후 1, 2,3, 4, 5일째 흑질 조직을 채춰하여 tarm로 박걸하여 tyrosine hydroxylase 면역조직화학염색을 수행하여 cell countif우한 결과, control은 57.635ce11s, 1일째 친.OfDells,2일째 57.9±6cells,3일릴 없.3±죠ells, 4일째 49.0츠3cells, 5일째 39.4±Scells료 4, 3일째 뚜렷한 신경세포 수의 감소를 보였다. 신경세포사 기전 규명을 위한 아폼토시스 분걱에서는 벼PTP 투여 후 1, 2, 3, 4, 5일째 조직을 채취하여 Hoechst staining, TUNEL staining을 수곡하였는데 양성 반응을 보인 신경세포는 관찰되지 않아. 아폼토시스로 인한 세포사가 관찰되지 않았다. bIPTP 파킨슨병 동물모델에서 nicotine 보호효과 탐색에 관한 실험은 nicat푸e 0.2mgAg을 5일 퐁안 투여 후 리『fP(30mgag)를 CS7Bt/6 마은스에 복강 내주사로 nicotine과 병용 투여한 후 1, 2, 3, 4, 5일째 뇌를 적출하땄다. 신경세포사가 뚜렷이 관찰되기 시작하는 4, 5일째의 신경세포 수의 감소 정도를 20. 30% 정도 약화시키는 경향을 보였으나, nicotine 보호효과에 대한 추가 실헝이 현재 수행 중에 있다. The cause of Parkinson's disease (PD) is largely unknown. However, free radical toxicit? may plaf a role ip. the degeneration of substantia nigra, which is the Hajorfocus of pathological damages in PD. Recently, a neuroprotective effect of nicotine in PD has been suggested. Therefore, the mechanism of neurodegenerafion and protective potential o( nicotine in PD were investigated in the experimental modeB of Pll using a neurotoxin, C57BL/6mice were administered with 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP, 30 mg/kg,j.p.). The degree of neurodegenerafion was determined by immunohistochemical stainiHB oftyrosine hydroxylase (TH). TH-positive cells on nigral sections were found 56.0 ±4, 57.9 ±6,52.315ce11s, 49.0±3cells, and 39,4±Scells at days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, respectively (controls : 57.6±Scells). Hoechst and TUNEL staining showed no evidence of apoptosis. The exandnation on themice co-adrunistered with nicotine(0.2mgAg) and MPTP(30mgag) revealed a tendency ofnicotine protective effects. At days 4 and 5, the degree of TH-positive cells was decreased by20-30%, In corclusiffn, the role of apoptosis was not evidenced in this MPTP modeB of PB.The possible proteccon by nicotine should be elucidated with further studies.

        Geographical Patterns of Morphological Variation in Soybean Germplasm

        A total of 1,830 soybean collections were grown in the field and characterized for 10 morphological traits to determine the diversity and relationship within and among geographical regions. Phenotypic variation was found within all regions for most characters. The Shannon-Weaver diversity index ranged from 0.49 to 0.62 across regions, and 0.09 to 1.00 across characters. Canonical discriminant analysis and clustering of the canonical means delineated 3 regional clusters: (ⅰ) Kyunggi, Chungchong, Kangwon, Chulla, and Kyungsang; (ⅱ) Heilongjiang; and (ⅲ) Jilin, Manchuria, central China, south China, Others (China), Hokkaido, Honshu, and Others (Japan).

        Meningeal Layers Around Anterior Clinoid Process as a Delicate Area in Extradural Anterior Clinoidectomy : Anatomical and Clinical Study

        Objective : Removal of the anterior clinoid process (ACP) is an essential process in the surgery of giant or complex aneurysms located near the proximal internal carotid artery or the distal basilar artery. An extradural clinoidectomy must be performed within the limits of the meningeal layers surrounding the ACP to prevent morbid complications. To identify the safest method of extradural exposure of the ACP, anatomical studies were done on cadaver heads. Methods : Anatomical dissections for extradural exposure of the ACP were performed on both sides of seven cadavers. Before dividing the frontotemporal dural fold (FTDF), we measured its length from the superomedial apex attached to the periorbita to the posterolateral apex which connects to the anterosuperior end of the cavernous sinus. Results : The average length of the FTDF on cadaver dissections was 7 mm on the right side and 7.14 mm on the left side. Cranial nerves were usually exposed when cutting FTDF more than 7 mm of the FTDF. Conclusion : The most delicate area in an extradural anterior clinoidectomy is the junction of the FTDF and the anterior triangular apex of the cavernous sinus. The FTDF must be cut from the anterior side of the triangle at the periorbital side rather than from the dural side. The length of the FTDF incision must not exceed 7 mm to avoid cranial nerve injury.
