The purpose of present study is to determine the toxicity of several mycotoxin-producing fungi, named A. flavus ATCC 15517, A. parasiticus RIB 1037, A. toxicarium RIB 4002, P. citrinum SWU 238, P. islandicum IFO 5235, P. tardum IFO 5787, and P. brunneum by observing the ultrastructural changes in the mouse liver cells. The results as follows: 1. All of the experimental animals treated with reference strains were observed the focal necrosis and inflammatory infiltration of liver parenchymal cell. 2. It showed cytoplamic changes such as dilatation of endoplasmic reticulum, swelling of mitochondria, detachment of ribosomes, increased number of lipid droplets and glycogens. 3. Nuclear and nucleolar alterations were also noted the nucleolar capping, segregation of nucleolar elements and irregularity of nuclear envelopes.
Enhanced exchange bias and thermal stability of magnetic tunnel junctions with Ta blocking layer

An antiferromagnetic/ferromagnetic (AFM/FM) structure with an ultra-thin Ta blocking layer was investigated in order to improve thermal stability after an annealing process. Measurements by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy directly conrm the interdiusion mechanism of Mn atoms of IrMn in exchange-biased structure with increasing annealing temperature. Experimental results show that Mn atoms in NiFe/IrMn structure lead to faster thermal diusion than those in CoFe/IrMn structure. The diusion of Mn atoms induces anomalous reduction of exchange bias strength. Finally, the insertion of an ultra-thin Ta layer between FM and AFM structure as antidi usion barrier eectively protects the expected Mn diusion for annealing temperatures up to 800 C, resulting in enhancement of thermal stability.

Devonian Geochang foliated granite and Jurassic plutonic rocks intrude Precambrian metamorphic Complex at Geochang area, southern part of the Korean Peninsular. Among them hornblendes from four Jurassic plutonic bodies which have had no trace of metamorphism or deformation since their intrusion were dated by K-Ar method. Hornblende gabbro dike which intruded Anorthosite of unknown age revealed 204±10Ma, and hornblende granite and hornblende-biotite granodiorite were 178±9Ma and 181±9Ma, repectively. Also, hornblende diorite which partly showing primary foliations were 178±9Ma, so igneous activity of Geochang area, northern part of Jirisan, were active about 180 Ma before. Microprobe data of dated hornblends and other major constituent minerals such as plagioclases and biotites were also reported, and their chemical composition showed systematic changes in terms of lithologic types.

The coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic has posed a significant threat not only to health outcomes but also to other societal sectors, including the educational system. Apart from youth education, colleges and universities are characterized by the integration of in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in young adulthood. Our observations in this study suggest that college fairs, sports matches, and extracurricular activities can be safely resumed when population-level immunity has reached herd protection.

Background: Cyclic AMP stimulates the expression of the somatostatin (SRIF) receptor (sst1-5) and human growth hormone (GH)-secreting pituitary tumors with the gsp oncogene which increases intracellular cAMP levels, and shows a good inhibitory response of the GH to SRIF. Taken together, we hypothesized that the gsp oncogene may increase the SRIF receptor expression or and factors related to the postreceptor signal transduction of the SRIF, in order to enhance its responsiveness to SRIF. To test this hypothesis, we investigated if the gsp oncogene could increase the sst1, sst2, G_i2α, and pit-1α gene expression in GH3 cells. Methods: GH3 cells were permanently transfected with the plasmid expressing Gsα gene, where the arginine of codon 201 was replaced with histidine. Intracellular cAMP levels and GH concentrations were measured by radioimmunoassays. Gene expressions of the sst1, sst2, G_i2α, and pit-1α were determined by RT-PCR. Results: Intracellular cAMP levels and medium GH release were increased by 1.7 and 2.7-fold in GH3 cells expressing the gsp oncogene, respectively. In GH3 cells expressing the gsp oncogene, the sst1 mRNA levels were decreased, whereas those of the sst2, Gi2α and pit-1α mRNA were increased. A 4-h forskolin (10 μM) stimulation remarkably increased the sst1 and sst2 mRNA levels in GH3 cells expressing wild and mutant Gsα. However, forskolin did not affect the G_i2α and pit-1α mRNA levels. In contrast, SRIF (1 μM, 2 h) decreased the sst2 mRNA levels only in GH3 cells expressing the gsp oncogene. Conclusion: These results suggest that higher expressions of sst2, G_i2α, and pit-1α, induced by the gsp oncogene may be a mechanism by which gsp-positive pituitary tumors show a greater response to SRIF. The discrepancy between these and in vivo results should be explored further

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of drink including dietary fiber supplementation and regulatory exercise on body composition and blood profile concerning obesity of women. Twenty young healthy but on mild obesity women were participated as a subject, Body composition and blood profile were measured before and after 6 weeks' supplementation and exercise, The results of this study were as follows: First, Body composition concerning obesity such as body weight(p=.0001) and %body fat(p=.0001) after 6weeks' dietary fiber supplementation and exercise was decreased significantly. Second, blood profile concerning obesity such as TC(p=.0001), LDL-C(p=.0001) and TG(p=.0002.) after 6weeks' dietary fiber supplementation and exercise was decreased significantly. This results suggested that drink including dietary fiber supplementation and regulatory exercise should be recommended as a effective method for cure and prevention obesity.
