      • ZSM-5 촉매상에서의 메탄올 전환반응에 관한 연구

        ZSM-5 촉매를 제조하고 메탄올 전환반응에 적용하여 반응 속도에 관한 실험연구를 수행하였다. ZSM-5 촉매상에서 메탄올 전환반응에서는 많은 종류의 탄화수소들이 생성되는 데, 본 연구에서는 접촉시간을 조절하여 주로 C_2, C_3 및 C_4 탄화수소들이 생성되는 조건하에서 반응실험을 수행하였으며 lumping의 개념을 적용하여 이 경우의 반응 경로와 각 반응의 속도 상수들을 결정하였다. 이로부터 메탄올이 dimethyl ether로 변환되어 평형상태를 유지하면서 C_2 및 C_4 탄화수소들이 병행반응으로 생성되고, 생성된 C_2 및 C_4 탄화수소들로부터 C_3 탄화수소가 생성되는 것으로 추정되었다.

        Purpose : Ultrasound has been found to be accurate, reliable and noninvasive method in the measurement of spleen. The study was undertaken to obtain standard values of size in three dimensions and normal range of splenic volume by the use of splenic volumetric index(SVI) in normal korean adults. Material and Method : We experienced 100 cases of abdominal ultrasonography of normal korean adults from May 1995 to August 1995. Results : 1) The average size of spleen in adult male was 6.85±1.31cm in breadth, 4.93±1.27cm in thickness, 6.33±1.46cm in height ; in adult females, 6.61±1.23cm, 5.17±1.26cm, 6.33. 42cm, respectively ; total average, 6.73±1,27cm, 5.05±1.27cm, 6.33±1.39cm,respectively. 2) The average splenic volumetric index in adult male was 8.20±3.95; in adult females, 8.41±4.08 ; total average,8.31±4.00. There were no statistical differences of SVI and size between sex and age. Conclusion : Although ultrasonography is less accurate than computed tomography, it is rapid and simple method for splenic measurement.

        북미자유무역협정의 정치경제학: 그 성격과 성과를 중심으로

        이 글은 1994년도에 출범한 북미자유무역협정의 역사적 배경에서 출발하여 협정에 이르기까지의 각국의 협상 목표와 전략, 그리고 세계경제 전반에 미치는 영향과 협정의 주요 내용, 마지막으로 지난 3년간의 공과를 간단히 검토하고 있다. 세계적 차원에서 경제적 경쟁이 심화되면서 북미 3국은 기존의 상호의존성을 토대로 자유무역지대를 창출하는데 성공하지만 각국의 목표는 조금씩 다르다. 미국은 상대적으로 경제적 이익보다는 멕시코의 안정이라는 정치적인 목료를 고려하였고, 멕시코는 발전모델의 변경에 소요되는 재워조달이라는 경제적 이유가 가장 고려되었으며, 캐나다는 반면에 불참의 불이익을 회피하기 위해 북미자유무역협정에 가입하였다. 3년간 실험 끝에 역내의 무역창출 효과는 상당히 제고되었고 산업내 무역도 활발하게 전개되고 있지만 무역분쟁은 아짇고 크게 줄지 않고 있다. 초기의 낙관론과 달리 북미자유무역협정이 미주자유무역지대로 발전할 가능성은 상당히 약하다. This study examines the historical background of the NAFTA of 1994, negotiation targets and strategies of each country involved, its impact on the world economy as a whole, and its successes and failures over the past three years. While the three North American countries succeeded in establishing a free trade area based on reciprocity in the context of deepening economic competition in the world economy, the objectives of each country in this process slightly differ each other: The United States places more emphasis on a political objective-the stabilization of Mexico; Mexico is more interested in obtaining financial resources for remolding the existing economic development model; and Canada tried to avoid the possible economic disadvantages due to the boycott. After the three year economic experiment, the effect of trade creation within the trade area and intra-industry trade have been enhanced, whereas the trade disputes among the members still remain high. But the possibility of developing the NAFTA into the AFTA seems to be modest at the moment.

      • Helicobacter pylori와 대장균의 Shuttle Vector 개발

        In this study, a vehicle vector using cryptic plasmids was constructed for gene transfer in Helicobacter pylori. pHP51(3.9 kb) and pHP489(1.2 kb) were selected for constructing vectors from cryptic plasmid of H. pylori isolates in Korea. The HindⅢ-digestedDNA fragment(1.2kb) of pHP489 and 1.6kb DNA fragment of pHP51 were ligated with a kanamycin resistance gene(aph3'-Ⅲ) from C. jejuni to produce the recombinant plasmids pHP489K and pHP51K, respectively. Transformation frequency of pHP51K by electroporation was low. But pHP489K could be effectively transformed into various H. pylori strains. In order to design an intermdiate vehicle vector for gene transfer into H. pylori, pBlueHP489K was prepared by recloning pHP489K DNA into pBluescript and pTZ19R vector. This vector permitted the DNA fragment containing pHP489 sequence, aph3'-Ⅲ, and cloned DNA to be cut and self-ligated in the SacⅠ site after cloning. ureA and ureB gene were inserted into pBlueHP489K, resulting in pBlueHP489K/AB. The DNA fragment containing pHP489, kanamycin resistance gene(aph3'-Ⅲ), and urease structural gene was cut away from pBlueHP489K/AB and self-ligated to generate pBlueHP489K/AB. pBlueHP489K/AB made urease-negative H. pylori strains restore their urease activity. By this experiment, pBlueHP489K was confirmed to be the vehicle system for transferring H. pylori genes.

      • 기하학직물의 색채연구 : 체크패턴 중심으로 Focusing on Checks Pattern

        In this study, 48 samples were collected in order to analyze the check pattern color combinations that had been utilized as fabric patterns for a long time. The woolen textiles composed of 2-5 chromaticity were selected as the samples of check patterns. For precise measurement of color combinations of check patterns, the warp and weft of fabric were separated and the analyses via the colorimeter, MINOLT CM-3600d, were carried out. Although the samples of check fabrics were limited to woolen textiles, the change was lacking in general, since colors were used in a restricted way. The colors of check fabrics of woolen textiles took on mainly dull and dark tones compared with the check fabrics of cotton fabrics.

        폴록사머 및 프로필렌글리콜을 이용한 클로트리마졸 고형 좌제의 물리화학적 특성

        To develop a clotrimazole-loaded solid suppository with poloxamer and propylene glycol, the melting points of various formulations composed of poloxamer 188 (P 188) and propylene glycol were investigated. The dissolution study of clotrimazole delivered by the suppository composed of P 188 and propylene glycol was performed. The mixtures composed of P 188 and propylene glycol were homogeneous. Propylene glycol affected the melting points of poloxamer mixtures. In particular, the mixture [P 188/propylene glycol (70/30%)] with the melting point of about 32°C was a solid form at room temperature and instantly melted at physiological temperature. Furthermore, propylene glycol affected greatly the dissolution rates of clotrimazole from the suppository. Dissolution mechanism analysis showed the dissolution of clotrimazole was proportional to the time. Our results indicated that the solid suppository with P 188 and propylene glycol would be a candidate of rectal dosage form for clotrimazole.

        아세클로페낙 연질캡슬(클란자 에스 연질캡슬)의 개발

        To develop and aceclofenac soft capsule, four preparations with various solubilizers were prepared and their dissolution test was carried out. Among four preparations tested, a preparation with ethanolamine was selected a formula of aceclofenac soft capsule (Clanza S^(™), since it showed the fastest dissolution rate. Bioequivalence of aceclofenac tablet, Airtal^(™)(Dae-Woong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) and aceclofenac soft capsule, Clanza S^(™)(Korea United Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) was evaluated according to the guideline of KFDA. Fourteen normal male volunteers (age 20-25 years old) were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was employed. After oral administration of one tablet or capsule containing 100 ㎎ of aceclofenac, blood ws taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentration of aceclofenac in plasma wa determined with an HPLC method under UV detector. The pharmacokinetic parameters (C_(max), T_(max) and AUC_(t)) were calculated and ANOVA was utilized for the statistical analysis of parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC_(t), C_(max) and T_(max) between Airtal tablet and Clanza soft capsule were 2.89%, 0.18% and 43.0%, respectively. There were no sequence effects between two formulations in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically transformed data were within the acceptance range of log(0.8) to log(1.250(e.g.log(0.81) - log(1.23) and log(0.89) - log(1.14)) for AUC_(t) and C_(max), respectively. Thus, the criteria of the KDFA guidelines for the equivalence was satisfied, indicating that Clanza S^(™) soft capsule is bioequivalent to Airtal^(™) tablet.

        STRUCTURE OF THE SPIRAL GALAXY NGC 300 II. Applications of the Mass Models

        Applying mass model to disk galaxy NGC 300, since the observed rotation curve of NGC 300 is flatter than Toomre's mass model n = 1, two cases are used; obtaining parameters $a^n$ and $b^n$ from the polynomial fitting of the observed rotation curve (case A) and from the least square fitting between the observed rotation curve and model rotation curve (case B). In any case, n bas a fixed value of 1. Brandt's mass model is also discussed. which has a shape parameter n = 1.4. Calculated total mass and total mass to luminosity ratio are $3.3{\times}10^{10}M_{\odot}$, l2.1 for case A and $2.8{\times}10^{10}M_{\odot}$, 10.3 for case B. In case of Brandt's model, the values are $4.2{\times}10^{10}M_{\odot}$ and 15.4. The rise in the local mass to luminosity ratio in the outer part of NGC 300 implies existence of massive halo. Other dynamical properties are also discussed.

        MASS-TO-LIGHT RATIO AND THE TULLY-FISHER RELATION

        We analyze the dependence of the mass-to-light ratio of spiral galaxies on the present star formation rate (SFR), and find that galaxies with high present star formation rates have low mass-to-light ratios, presumably as a result of the enhanced luminosity. On this basis we argue that variations in the stellar content of galaxies result in a major source of intrinsic scatter in the Tully-Fisher relation (TF relation). Ideally one should use a 'population-corrected' luminosity. We have also analyzed the relation between the (maximum) luminous mass and rotational velocity, and find it to have a small scatter. We therefore propose that the physical basis of the Tully-Fisher relation lies in a relationship between the luminous mass and rotational velocity, in combination with a 'well-behaved' relation between luminous and dark matter. This implies that the Tully-Fisher relation is a combination of two independent relations: (i) a relation between luminosity and (luminous) mass, based mainly on the star formation history in galaxies, and (ii) a relation between mass and rotation velocity, which is the outcome of the process of galaxy formation. In addition to a 'population-corrected' Tully-Fisher relation, one may also use the relation between mass and luminosity, and the relation between luminous mass and rotation velocity as distance estimators.

        ON THE PHYSICAL BASIS OF THE TULLY-FISHER RELATION

        We analyse the results of mass models derived from the HI rotation! curves of spiral galaxies and find that the slope of the luminous mass-circular velocity relation is close to 4. The luminous mass-circular velocity relation with a slope of about 4 can be explained by an anti-correlation between the mass surface density of luminous matter and the mass ratio of the dark and luminous components. We also argue that the conspiracy between luminous and dark matter exists in a local sense (producing a flat or smooth rotation curve) and in a global sense (affecting the mass ratio of the dark and luminous matter), maintaining the luminous mass-circular velocity relation with a slope of about 4. We therefore propose that the physical basis of the Tully-Fisher relation lies in the luminous mass-circular velocity relation. While the slope of the luminous mass-circular velocity relation is fairly well defined regardless of the dark matter contribution, the zero-point of the relation is still to be determined. The determination of the slope of the Tully-Fisher relation needs one more step: the mean trend of the luminosity-luminous mass relation determines the overall shape (slope) of the Tully-Fisher relation. The key parameter needed to determine the zero-point of the luminous mass-circular velocity relation and the slope of the Tully-Fisher relation obviously is the luminous mass-to-light ratio.
