TPAH -Na₂O-SiO₂-Al₂O₃-H₂O 반응계를 이용하여 여러가지 ZSM-5 제올라이트 촉매를 제조하고, ZSM-5 결정의 생성과 성장에 영향을 주는 반응혼합물의 조성과 pH, 반응온도 및 반응시간에 대하여 연구하였다. 생성된 ZSM-5 촉매의 물리, 화학적 특성을 XRD, SEM, TPD, IR, TG, DTA 및 DTG를 사용하여 분석하고 메탄올 전환반응실험을 실시하여 ZSM-5 촉매의 반응성을 조사하였다. 실험결과에 의하면 ZSM-5 촉매는 SiO₂/Al₂O₃의 비가 20이상으로 되고, pH가 9-10.5의 범위로 유지될 때 150℃ 전후의 반응온도에서 잘 생성되었다. 이와 같은 방법으로 제조된 촉매는 메탄올 전환반응에 대하여 우수한 활성을 나타내었다. Various ZSM-5 zeolite catalysts were prepared by using the reaction mixture TPAH-Na₂O-SiO₂-Al₂O₃-H₂O . The composition and pH of the reaction mixture, the reaction temperature, and the reaction time were found to be important factors for the formation and growth of ZSM-5 crystal. The physical and chemical characteristics of the ZSM-5 cataylsts were examined by employing the XRD, SEM, XPS, TPD, IR, and TG-DTA-DTG methods, and their activities were tested by conducting the methanol conversion experiment. The ZSM-5 catalyst was obtained favorably when the SiO₂/Al₂O₃ ratio was greater than 20, the pH in the range from 9 to 10.5, and the reaction temperature about 150℃. The catalyst so prepared proved to be very active for the conversion of methanol.

ZSM-5 촉매를 제조하고 메탄올 전환반응에 적응하여 반응 속도에 관한 실험연구를 수행하였다. ZSM-5 촉매상에서의 메탄올 전환반응에서는 많은 종류의 탄화수소들이 생성되는 데, 본 연구에서는 접촉시간을 조절하여 주로 C₂, C₃ 및 C₄ 탄화수소들이 생성되는 조건하에서 반응실험을 수행하였으며 lumping의 개념을 적용하여 이 경우의 반응 경로와 각 반응이 속도상수들을 결정하였다. 이로부터 메탄올이 dimethyl ether로 변환되어 평형상태를 유지하면서 C₂ 및 C₄ 탄화수소들이 병행반응으로 생성되고, 생성된 C₂ 및 C₄ 탄화수소들로부터 C₃ 탄화수소가 생성되는 것으로 추정되었다. The kinetics of the methanol conversion over a ZSM-5 catalyst were studied, While various hydrocarbons could be produced from methanol conversion, here the contact time were adjusted in such a way that the main products were C₂, C₃ and C₄ hydrocarbons. Then the concept of lumping was introduced to determine the proper reaction pathway and the related reaction rate constants. This treatment suggests that methanol is first converted to dimethyl ether, which then produces C₂ and C₄ hydrocarbons by parallel reaction paths, and finally C₃ hydrocarbons are produced from the mixture of C₂ and C₄ hydrocarbons.
관형 반응기에서 Polystyrene 합성에 관한 연구

Polystyrene synthesis by free radical mechanism in tubular reactor was studied numerically. Concentration, feed flow rate, reactor size and cooling effects are influenced to the conversion and molecular weight of the produced polystyrene. Molecular weight was differ to the temperature history of the reactant.

Specification of engineering college is the way to the improvement of education quality and competitiveness. It is clear that all universities n Korea confronted with competition in recruit as the society is. Suncheon National University is late-comer compare to other universities in Korea. Therefore there is a need for Suncheon National University should have a specification in some fields. To increase the quality and competitiveness we have to introduce school system for more generalized education for student who want to cope with the developing society. By this information we studied mind of the engineering faculty member what they pursue and their desire. From this study we can conclude as follows: 1. There is a need to consider the specification of the engineering college of Suncheon National University. 2. To make a policy for the specification of engineering college, we must bear in mind incorporation of the faculty members. 3. There is some field for introduction of the school system in engineering college. 4. Introduction of the school system to the engineering college must consider in various ways.
단일 스크루 압출기에서의 폴리에틸렌 압출에 관한 이론적 연구

A study of single screw extruder was conducted on a numerical simulation by the finite difference method. We studied the effect of temperature distribution of the extruder, rotational speed of screw and others to the polyethylene extrusion. It shows that little effect on the extrusion rate by temperature distribution through the extruder. But rotational speed of screw shows strong influence on the extrusion rate. As the rotational speed of screw increased, the swell ratio of the extrudate was increased.

Free-radical reactions, which are related on the chemical modification of polymeric materials, are discussed in relationship to their influence on the chain scission. A mathematical model having the degree of chain scission was studied. Special emphasis is placed on the prediction of random chain scission. Prediction of the variation of molecular weight averages and polydispersity with scission is also made.
TPD Chromatogram의 해석에 관한 연구 - Ⅰ

A theoretical study of TPD chromatogram was carried out theoretically. From this result we concluded that TPD chromatogrom is influenced by desorption kinetics, desorption activation energy and whether readsorption exists or not. Also variations of desorption activation energy with coverage influences the TPD chromatogram. Linear of hyperbolic heating schedule of the experiment is little influencing to the TPD chromatogram.
