For integrated circuit fabrication process compatible with education and R & D purpose, its period must be shortened and its yield must be satifactory, too. For this purpose, this study carried out minimized 4-film masks, hence the fabrication process period was shortened. 4-film mask I.C fabrication is processed during 40 hours, containing MOSFET of various W/L, resistors, diodes, ring-oscillator. The threshold voltage of p-n junction diode is about 0.7[V] and the resistivity of polysilicon for self-aligned gate electrode is less than 10-³[Ωcm]. This paper contains the diffusion profile, thin film growth condition using electrical furnace and CVD system, wet and dry etching condition of the growth thin film, I-V, and C-V characteristics of MOS Transistor fabricated in this process. In MOS Transistor, the leakage current of gate oxide and various charges in the interface between gate oxide and silicon substrate are proposed as the most important problem, but these problems are overcome by repeated experimentation. MOS Transistor using AEO as an example of research experimentation have characteristics prior to the case using general dry oxidation gate.

A matallo-organic solution was stamped from the channels of a polymer stamp onto a glass. The precursor solution consisted of copper 2-ethylhexanonate, 2-ethoxyethanol as a solvent and ethylene glycol to improve surface energies. The solution was deposited to the polymer stamp by spin coater. After drying the solution in channels of the stamp, the dried ink was transferred to a substrate by debonding from channels. The process parameters such as solution compositions and pressing methods were discussed experimentally to form a copper pattern whose morphology was excellent.

대구시 동성로 소재 약령시에서 구입한 118종의 생약제를 물로 추출하고 희화하여 원자흡광광도계를 사용하여 연의 함량을 측정하였다. 118종의 생약제 중 92.3%인 109종에서 2ppm 이하의 연이 함유 되었으며 4.1∼5.0ppm의 연 함량을 나타낸 생약제는 연자육, 향부자, 황금의 세 종류였고 5.1ppm에서 7.0ppm 사이의 치를 보여준 것은 당귀와 사삼 이었다. Herb medicines obtained from the herb shops at "Herb Street" of Taegu, Korea were analyzed for contents of lead. The contents of lead were measured in 118 herb medicine by atomic absorption spectrophotometry after extraction with water and phosphorylation of the medicines. In 92.3%(109) of total, the contents of lead were less than 2 ppm. The contents were between 4.1 and 5.0 ppm in three medicines (Neiumbo Semen, Cyperi Rhizoma and Scutellariae Radis) and between 5.1 and 7.0 ppm in two medicines (Angelicae gigantis Radix and Codonopsi Radix). These results suggest that the risk of lead poisoning by herb medicine is relatively low if the medicine is extracted with water. But it might be better to check the serum or urine concentration of lead in the cases of long term uses of Neiumbo Semen, Cyperi Rhizoma, Scutellariae Radix, Angelicae gigantis Radix or codonopsi Radix.

<P><B>Objective</B></P><P>We examined the difference in responses to donepezil between carriers and non-carriers of the A allele at the +4 position of the choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) gene in Koreans.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>Patients who met the criteria for probable Alzheimer’s disease (AD) (n=199) were recruited. Among these, 145 completed the 12-week follow-up evaluation and 135 completed the 26-week scheduled course. Differences and changes in the Korean version of the mini-mental state examination (MMSE-KC) score, Korean version of the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer’s Disease Neuropsychological Assessment Battery (CERAD-K[N]) wordlist subtest score (WSS), CERAD-K(N) total score (TS), and the Korean version of geriatric depression scale (GDS-K) score between baseline and 12 weeks or 26 weeks were assessed by the Student’s <I>t</I>-test.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>At 12 weeks, the changes in the MMSE-KC score, CERAD-K(N) WSS, and CERAD-K(N) TS from baseline were not significant between ChAT A allele carriers and non-carriers; however, at 26 weeks, these changes were significantly larger in ChAT A allele carriers than in non-carriers (<I>p</I>=0.02 for MMSE-KC and <I>p</I>=0.03 for CERAD-K(N) WSS respectively).</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>Our findings in this study suggested that presence of the A allele at the +4 position of ChAT might positively influence the treatment effect of donepezil in the early stages of AD in Koreans.</P>

The growth of hafnium oxide thin films by atomic layer deposition was investigated in the temperature range of $175-350^{\circ}C$ using $Hf[N(CH_3)_2]_4\;and\;O_2$ as precursors. A self-limiting growth of $0.6\AA/cycle$ was achieved at the substrate temperature of $240-280^{\circ}C$. The films were amorphous and very smooth (0.76-0.80 nm) as examined by X-ray diffractometer and atomic force microscopy, respectively. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis showed that the films grown at $300^{\circ}C$ was almost stoichiometric. Electrical measurements performed on $MoW/HfO_2$(20 nm)/Si MOS structures exhibited high dielectric constant$(\~17)$ and a remarkably low leakage current density of at an applied field of $1.5-6.2\times10^{-7}A/cm^2$ MV/cm, probably due to the stoichiometry of the films.
