        ■ Objectives The purpose of this case study is to report that a hypertension with intracerebral hemorrhage of tae-eumin was treated with 'Cheongsim Yeunja-tang' and then the symptoms were improved and blood pressure was decreased. ■ Methods Although the patient who had hypertension with intracerebral hemorrhage took antihypertension drugs, intermittent increase of blood pressure was shown. We diagnosed him as Tae-eumin and treated with Cheongsim Yeunja-tang. We daily checked blood pressure and evaluated the symptoms. ■ Results After the treatment with Cheongsim Yeunja-tang, blood pressure was decreased and symptoms were improved. ■ Conclusion The result shows Cheongsim Yeunja-tang has antihypertensive effect and improve hypertension symptoms of Tae-eumin patient with intracerebral hemorrhage.

      • 합성하수를 이용한 금속 막의 정밀여과 특성 및 막 오염 제어

        This study was to evaluate the filtration performance of metal membrane with synthetic wastewater and to investigate the effective control of membrane fouling using ozone backwashing. The increase of substrate concentration caused the increase of cake layer resistance and total resistance, however, plugging resistance decreased. Total resistance of metal membrane was mainly attributed to the permeate resistance of cake layer, which was formed by deposited particles from the physico-chemical interactions of solids on membrane surface. Intermittent ozone backwashing was more effective then the air backwashing for fouling reduction. The permeation flux recovery of air backwashing decreased over 50%, however, ozone backwashing decreased less than 10% for 4 hours filtration. This may be ascribed to the degradation of foulants in pore structure by the strong oxidation of ozone and physical exfoliation of cake layer on membrane surface with backwashing.

        韓國産 柳葉菜(바늘꽃)科 植物에 關한 本草學的 硏究

        For the purpose of developing Korean Herbalogy with the plants of Epilpbiaceae which grow wild and is planted in Korea,the these and writings on herbalogy,from literature of successive generations, have been thoroughly investigated and the results obtained were as follow: 1. There were totaled 29 species in Korea and among them medicinal plants are 12 species may be added because of the similiar plants. 2. According to the oriental names which can be used for medical purpose, the medicinal plants belonging to the Epilobiaceae family were classified as Herba 10, Radix 3, Semen 1. Thus it was noticed that the Herba were main kind. 3. According to sum of 29 species in Epilobiaceae family, they were classified into Epilobium genera 16, Circaea genera 6, Oneothera genera 3, Fuchisia genera 2, Ludwigia genera 2. Thus it was noticed that Epilobium genera was the main kind, same 55% in total. 4. According to nature and flavour of medicinal plants, they were classified into warmth and heat:3, cold and cool:11, balance 7. Thus it was noticed that cool and cold is the main in nature and flavour medicinal plants. 5. Comparing to whole medicinal plants 12 kinds, toxic drugs include minor toxin were 2 kinds. 7% of the whole. From this result, It was revealed that the plants for medical purpose in Epilobiaceae was 41% kinds of whole, herba and radix were abundunt, toxic plants were so rare that it will be used for clinical treatments more easily. It is considered that clinical experiments and approaches should be continued to use Epilobiaceae plants widely.

        An experimental study for the investigation of the sodium-steam reaction phenomena was carried out. No significant aggressive explosion phenomena were observed as compared with that of sodium-water reactions. It was also observed that the rate of increase of reaction temperature decreases with increasing initial temperature of liquid sodium and that the temperature of the target depends upon the flow rate of injected steam.

        교정용 브라켓과 교정선 사이의 마찰력

        교정용브라켓과 교정선 사이의 마찰력에 관련된 요소들에는 브라켓의 종류, 교정선의 재질과 형태, 결찰방법의 차이, 건조환경과 타액환경의 차이, 브라켓간 offset의 차이, 브라켓간 거리, 이동속도 등이 있다. 이러한 요소들에 따른 마찰력의 변화를 비교, 분석하여 각 요소들 간의 관계를 알아보고자 본 연구를 하였다. 8종류의 0.018" x 0.025" 상악 견치와 상악 제2 소구치용 브라켓을 슬라이드 위에 부착시키고 0.016" 및 0.016" x 0.022" 스테인레스 스틸 교정선과 같은 크기의 NiTi 교정선 및 Cu-NiTi 교정선을 이용하여 서로 다른 조건에서 마찰력을 측정하여 다음의 결과를 얻었다. 1.브라켓의 종류에 따른 마찰력의 차이는 Polycrystalline 세라믹 브라켓인 Allure의 평균 마찰력이 가장 높게 나타났고, 세라믹과 합성된 플라스틱 브라켓인 Vogue, 금속 브라켓인 Mini-Twin, 금속 슬롯을 갖는 플라스틱 브라켓인 Elan, monocrystalline 세라믹 브라켓인 Staflre, single 브라켓인 Lewis/Lang, 자가결찰 브라켓인 SPEED의 순으로 감소하였으며, frictionless브라켓인 Shoulder의 평균 마찰력이 가장 낮았다. 자가결찰 브라켓은 원형 교정선에서는 낮은 마찰력을 나타냈고, 사각형 교정선에서는 높은 마찰력을 나타냈다. 2.교정선 재질에 따른 평균마찰력은 스테인레스 스틸 교정선이 다른 교정선들에 비해 통계학적으로 유의하게 낮았으며, NiTi 교정선, Cu-NiTi 교정선 순으로 평균 마찰력이 높았다. 교정선의 형태에 따른 마찰력은 원형 교정선의 평균마찰력이 각형 교정선보다 낮았다. 3.본 연구에서 스테인레스 강으로 결찰했을 때의 평균마찰력이 탄성모듈로 결찰했을 때에 비해 모든 조건에서 통계학 적으로 유의하게 높았다. 4.건조환경에서의 금속 브라켓에 스테인레스 스틸 교정선, NiTi교정선 및 Cu-NiTi교정선의 평균마찰력은 타액환경에서보다 유의하게 낮았다. 5.브라켓간 offset이 증가함에 따라 평균마찰력은 유의하게 증가하였다. 6.브라켓간 거리의 변화에 대한 마찰력의 차이는 교정선의 재질에 따라 차이가 나며, 스테인레스 스틸 교정선은 브라켓간 거리가 감소할 때 마찰력이 유의하게 변화하지 않았으나, NiTi 교정선의 경우는 유의하게 증가하였다. 7.브라켓내의 교정선의 이동속도에 따라 마찰력은 유의하게 변화하지 않았다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 교정 치료동안 적정 교정력을 유지하기 위해 자가결찰 브라켓, 스테인레스 스틸 교정선과 탄성모듈결찰법을 사용하는 것이 유리하며, 치료시기에 따라서 요구하는 마찰력이 다르므로 상황에 따라 재료를 선택하는 것이 중요할 것으로 사료된다. The purpose of this study was to amount of the frictional forces with the brackets and wires, ligation methods, dry/wet, offsets, interbracket distances, velocity and to compare them each other by different conditions. This study tested 0.018" x 0.025" slot sized 8 types of orthodontic bracket systems and 0.016", 0.016" x 0.022" sized stainless steel, NiTi, Cu-NiTi orthodontic wires. One cuspid bracket were positioned on the slide glass and archwire was engaged into bracket and ligated with elastomeric modules. The values of frictional forces were measured with the Instron universal testing machine. The results were as follows; 1.Polycrystalline ceramic bracket had the highest mean frictional forces and followed and by ceramic reinforced plastic bracket metal bracket, plastic bracket with metal slot, monocrystalline ceramic bracket, single bracket, self-ligating bracket. friction free bracket in descending order. The self-ligating bracket showed low frictional forces in the round wires and high frictional forces in the rectangular wires. 2.Stainless steel wires had the least frictional forces and followed by NiTi, Cu-NiTi wires in descending order. Round wires had lower frictional forces then that of rectangular wires. 3.The stainless steel ligation method had significantly greater mean frictional forces them the elastomeric module ligation method. 4.Artificial saliva statistically increased the frictional forces in stainless steel wire, NiTi wire and Cu-NiTi wire. 5.There was a statistically significant difference with offset change. 6.There was no statistically significant difference with interbracket distance in stainless steel wires but a significant difference in NiTi wires as the interbracket was decreased. 7.There was no statistically significant difference with velocity change. From the above findings, self-ligating bracket, stainless steel wires and the elastomeric module ligation method might be effective than any other materials to reduce the frictional forces in the orthodontic treatment and can be correlated to clinical situations seen in orthodontic patient care.

      • 류마티스 관절염과 동반된 궤양성 대장염 1예

        The gastrointestinal involvement in rheumatoid arthritis may be broad and includes many causes: drug induced colitis, colitis associated with infectious agents, vasculitis in gut, autoimmune disease located in gut. Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic multisystemic disease of unknown cause. Although a number of mixed autoimmue disease exist, there were rare reports about Ulcerative colitis with Rheumatoid arthritis associated. We report one case of Rheumatoid arthritis patient who diagnosed as Ucerative colitis by colonoscopic and histologic finding with review of literature.

      • 공복 시 Caffeine 투여 후 일회성 운동이 흰쥐의 인슐린 및 골격근의 GLUT-4 발현에 미치는 영향

        This study was done to investigate the effects of caffeine ingestion on the expression of GLUT-4 in rats' skeletal muscle(soleus m) and blood insulin level after 12 hr fasting condition and one hour treadmill running. Total 19 rats(Sprague-Dawley) who were 7week Did were used for experimental subjects and raised for 1week in the room controled the air temperature and relative humudity(22℃ and 50%). They were divided three groups ; 12hr fasting group(F group, n=5), fasting+exercise group(FE, n= 7) and fasting+caffeine+exercise group(FCE group, n=7). FG and FCE group performed treadmill running for one hour and the treadmill speed was 18m/min that was supposed to be moderate exercise to rats. Each Dr rats in FCE group was forced to he given the caffeine solution(5mg/kg, Sigma Chemical co.) through stainless steel tube directly to their stomachs one hour before treadmill exercise. Immediately after treadmill running, we anesthetized them with the mixed solution(Ketamin 80g/kg and Rompun 5ml/kg) to draw 3ml blood from heart four insulin analysis and then obtained the rats' soleus muscle for GLUT-4 expression. We found that FCE group showed significantly higher GLUT - expression then the other groups and FE group showed the lowest GLUT-4 expression. This rusults suggest that the endurance type of exercise in fasting condition inhibit the GLUT-4 expression in working muscle and the caffeine helped to facilitate the GLUT-4 expression during endurance type of exercise. The future studies needed to confirm the action of caffeine to increase the GLUT- 4 and the mechanism.
