교육의 역할에 대한 국제사회의 주된 관심은 사회 진보를 위해 교육이 무엇을 가르쳐야 하는가로 발전하고 있다(OECD, 2015; OECD, 2010). 과거 교육의 경제적 효용성에 대한 논 의가 활발하였다면, 이제는 한 사회의 지속적인 발전에 기여하는 교육의 역할이 주목받고 있다(Kautz, Heckman, Diris, ter Weel, & Borghans, 2014; 김태준·홍영란·류성창·이광현·장 근영, 2012). 이러한 점에서는 비인지적 역량인 사회정서적 역량에 대한 관심이 높아지고 그 중요성에 대한 인식이 확대되고 있다(Schultz, Ainley, & Jrailon, 2011; 김태준·오민아·이 은경, 2015).

This study analyzes the influence of displacement behavior (uplift and subsidence) of underground structures, induced by adjacent excavation and variations in ground conditions, on the natural frequencies of sleeper floating track systems (STEDEF) installed within those structures. Modal testing was conducted on an operating line to measure the Frequency Response Function (FRF) of a sound track section, and a track geometry measurement system was used to measure vertical track irregularities in sections where structural displacement had occurred. Based on these results, a three-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA) model was constructed using solid elements from the rail to the concrete track slab. The model was validated by comparing the calculated natural frequencies with field measurements, after which the displacement behavior of the underground structure was applied as a boundary condition. The natural frequency analysis showed that, for the first mode, the natural frequency under general conditions was 9.68Hz and slightly increased to 9.88Hz under uplift conditions, whereas it decreased significantly to 4.10Hz under subsidence conditions. This reduction indicates a loss of track support stiffness and an increase in the effective span length between rail supports due to the occurrence of hanging sleepers. Therefore, natural frequency evaluation based on modal testing can be effectively utilized as a diagnostic technique for identifying track subsidence and hanging sleeper occurrence caused by deformation of underground structures.

A 51-year-old highly fit man presented for dyspnea with strenuous aerobic exercise. The patient was asymptomatic and all tests werenormal at rest. With increasing exercise intensity, he suddenly complained of dyspnea and showed a severe exercise-inducedhypoxemia with an excessive alveolar-arterial oxygen tension difference. In agitated saline contrast echocardiography at peak exercise,a large amount of left to right shunt was identified after > 5 cardiac cycles, which suggests the presence of exercise-inducedintrapulmonary arteriovenous shunt in this patient.
