        급성 중독 환자에 대한 역학적 고찰 : 서울과 지방의 비교

        Study objective: To compare patients with acute poisoning between urban and rural areas Design: Retrospective chart review of 217 patients with acute poisoning Setting: Two University Hospital EDs Methods: patients were divided into two groups according to hospital. The group A was 109 patients who came to ED of Asan Medical Center and the group B was patients who came to ED of Ajou University Hospital from June 1994 to February 1995. We analysed the age and sex distributions, poisoning substances. causes of poisoning and the past history of psychiatric problems in patients of the two groups. Results: Total number of patients with acute poisoning were 109 in the group A and 108 in the group B. Female was more prevalent than male in the group A and male was more than female in the group B. There was a significant difference in sex distribution between two groups. The mean age of the group A was 27.7 years which was significantly different from the mean age of the group B, 33.7 years. The age incidences in both group were highest in 2nd decade. The accidental poisoning cases were 37% in the group A and 31% in the group B. The rates of committed suicide were 7% in the group A and 22% in the group B. The most common agent of poisoning was therapeutic drug in the group A and agricultural or industrial chemical in the group B. The overall mortality was 5% in the group A and 15% in the group B. Conclusion: There were significant differences in age and sex distributions. poisoning substances, causes of poisoning and the past history of psychiatric problems between two groups.

        한국인 건선환자에서 발병하는 질환에 대한 연구 - 다기관 연구

        N/A Background: The prevalence of other diseases associated with psoriasis has been investigated in recent years. Objective: This study was performed to see diseases associated with psoriasis in Korea. Methods: From September 1999 to May 2000, a total of 293 patients with psoriasis, who visited the department of dermatology in 6 hospitals, were enrolled in a subject group for the study. We surveyed the incidence rates of associated diseases. Results: In our study, diseases more concomitantly present in patients with psoriasis were dermatophyte infection, seborrhea dermatitis and benign tumor & nevus in skin diseases and obesity, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, gastritis and hepatitis in systemic diseases. Less concomitantly present in-patients with psoriasis were erythroderma, acne, contact dermatitis, atomic dermatitis, bacterial infection, tonsillitis, and internal cancer. Conclusion: Our observations show a distinct pattern of diseases associated with psoriasis in Korea. Further investigation will be mandatory to elucidate concomitant diseases in psoriasis.       • 김치용 간절임 배추의 저장에 관한 연구 : Ⅱ. 젖산, Calcium Chloride, 저장온도가 저장중 간절임 배추의 품질에 미치는 영향

        배추를 다듬기 하는데 발생한 폐기량은 7.5∼14% (w/w)이었고 10±2℃에서 30일간 방치한 경우 약 17∼25% 발생하였다. 간절임 배추의 pH값은 저장온도가 낮을수록, 염도가 높을수록 높았으나 calcium chloride 첨가가 절임배추의 pH값의 변화에는 영향을 주지 않았다. 유리당의 함량변화는 최소 약 4% 수준에서 산의 함량과는 반비례적으로 변화하여 저장 90일에는 소금농도가 낮고 저장온도가 높은 경우 적게 감소되었다. 균수변화에서 세균과 효모는 전 기간을 통해 증가한 반면, 곰팡이는 감소하였다. 한편 산의 첨가와 CaCl? 첨가시 소금으로만 절인 경우보다 세균과 효모는 낮은 속도로 증가했다. 저장중 경도는 온도가 낮고 염도가 높으며 젖산을 첨가한 경우 다소 높게 유지됐고, CaCl? 첨가의 경우 잎과 줄기에서 월등히 높았다. 휘발산과 불휘발산의 함량변화에서 온도가 낮고 염도가 높은경우 불휘발산의 함량이 낮았는데 특히 젖산 첨가시 불휘발산의 증가를 억제하는 것으로 나타났다. flavor score 는 저온과 고염도 젖산첨가시 유리하였다. This study was to investigate the effects of storage temperature, lactic acid and calcium chloride addition about the pH values, sugar content, firmness, volatile and nonvolatile acidity, microbial counts and flavor of the salted chinese cabbages during storage (90 days), and trim loss of chinese cabbages during the trimming of raw and storaged (30 days) chinese cabbages. The waste rate was in the course of trimming of raw chinese, cabbages was 7.5-14(w/w). The proportion of trim loss was highly correlated to sunshine duration, temperature, humidity and handling for the storage. Free sugar was decreased fast and much in the case of high temperature and low level sodium chloride in comp rison of low temperature and high sodium chloride, but ?? and lactic acid did not affect its changes. Time to reach the lowest pH values were fast in the case of high temperature and low salt content. Lactic acid affected inital pH value (4.38-4.57) and constant pH value in each case was increased at low salt content, at high temperature, and then the pH values were slowly increased when volatile acidity was increased. Firmness was high in the case of addition of lactic acid and calcium chloride, low temperature, high sodium chloride concentration. Especially, calcium chloride addition remarkably showed high firmness. Flavor score was high in the case of low storage temperature, high yeast counts were slowly increased in spite of low temperature and high salt content, but mold counts were slightly increased during all period Lactic acid, low temperature and high sodium chloride were effective to inhibit the growth of microorganisms. Volatile and nonvolatile acidity was increased during all storage period ; however, lactic acid and low temperature storage inhibited their increase. To conclude, quality of salted chinese cabbages was effective at low temperature storage, lactic acid and calcium chloride addition, and high salt concentration.

        五加皮의 造血 및 免疫調節效果에 대한 實驗的 硏究

        In order to investigate the reinforcemental Effects of Acanthopanax Radicis Cortex about immunity and hematogenic action. The various immune responses were studied. The results were obtained as follows: 1. Positive cell was significantly increased at the 0.25 d r n P degree of density in the effect of CD4 about the spleen cell. 2. In the effect of IgG positive cell was significantly increased as comrared with the data of control only at the 0.25 mg/ml degree of density. 3. In the effect of Mac-1 positive cell was significantly increased in all treated degree of density. 4. In result of observing the change of WBC after Cyclophosphamide-processing the number of WBC was significantly increased in treated Group. 5. Measurement of RT-PCR in Hematopoietic stem cell TPO PCR products was increased as compared with medium at the 1 ㎛/ml degree of density. 6. In reinforcemental effect about Stem cell factor SCF PCR product was increased as compared with medium at the low degree of density. 7. In reinforcemental effect about IL-3 PCR product was increased as compared with medium at the low degree of density. 8. In reinforcemental effect about IL-6 PCR product was significantly increased as compared with all treated group. 9. Assay about positive cell in the spleen cell, the positive cell was significantly increased in CD4, CD19. 10. Created amount NO was treated group significantly increased all degree of density. 11. In promotional dissolution-effect, treated group was increased one and half times or twice all degree of density as compared with negative control. According to the above results, Acanthopanax Radicis Cortex increase coherence with T-cell by dint of activating CD of T-cell, presentate an antigen, activate IL-3, IL-6 which stimulate B-cell mading an antibody, activate IFN- y which appeal anti-viral activity by dint of activating macrophage, activate IgG which being made in B-cell neutralize Virus directly, increase immunity by means of promoting dissolution of Spleen cell which involve immune cell and strengthen hematogenic action by dint of activating TPO, SCF. Although Acanthopanax Radicis Cortex was used in retrogressional joint disease of deficiency syndrome by reinforcing Liver and Kidney, strengthening bones and sinews, because IFN- 7 which appeal anti-viral activity and IL-6 which almost appear in arthritis increased significantly, in future we should make an effort in looking into action of Acanthopanax Radicis Cortex about common cold by infection and arthritis of excess syndrome.

      • 흰쥐 시상하부에서의 Neuropeptide Y 신경분포에 관한 면역조직화학적 연구

        The distributions of neuropeptideY(NPY) in the hypothalamus of the adult rat was investigated using indirect immunohistochemistry. The method was showed that neuropeptide Y had a widespread distributions and was present in extremely high concentration in the hypothalamic nuclei of the rat. A few number of NPY-containing perikarya was found in the paraventricular nucleus, medial to the fornix and the dorsomedial hypothalamic nucleus, also relatively many numbers was found in the arcuate nucleus in colchicine pretreated rat. Neuropeptide Y-immunoreactive axons and terminals in the hypothalamus were found in most hypothalamic nuclei. The highest concentrations of neuropeptide Y containing fibers were found in the arcuate nucleus, paraventricular nucleus, and also the supraoptic nucleus, dorsomedial hypothalamic nucleus, preoptic area showed relatively high concentration of neuropeptide Y-immunoreactive fibers. The extremely high concentations of neuro-peptide Y in the hypothalamus indicate important role in many brain functions.

      • 기니이픽 장관의 c-Kit 및 NK 1R 면역반응 세포구조에 대한 공초점 주사현미경적 연구

        Background and Objectives: Immunolabelling of interstitial Cajal(IC) cells in the intestinal wall has recently been developed by using a specific marker, the anti-c-Kit antibody. Substance-P is a well-known neurotransmitter in the gastro-intestinal tract. Since the gastro-intestinal wall structures have already been well documented in the guinea pig, immunohistochemistry was done for the c-Kit-positive IC network and substance-P receptor(NK1R) in an attempt to provide a morphological basis for the mechanism regulating gastro-intestinal movement. Materials and Methods: Cryosection and whole-mount preparations of guinea pig small intestine and colon were single and double immunolabelled using the anti-c-Kit and NK1R antibodies. Immunolabelled specimens were observed under a confocal laser scanning microscope. Results : According to a three dimensional reconstruction study, it was found that (1) the c-Kit-positive celluar networks were widely distributed in the intestinal wall, (2) c-Kit-positive celluar networks encircled the ganlion, with strands in reticular configurations, and (3) the c-Kit-positive cells showed colocalization with NK1R in circular muscle(CM), not myenteric plexus(MY). Conclusion: The charateristic profiles of IC containing c-Kit-positive celluar networks and the relationship between c-Kit-positive and NK1R-positive structures provide a morphological basis upon the mechanism regulating gastro-intestinal motility.

        학생선수경험을 가진 초등교사의 교직형성과정

        이 연구는 근거 이론적 접근 방법을 통해 초등학교 때부터 체육고등학교 때까지 학생선수 경험을 가진 초등교사의 교직형성과정을 심층적으로 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 G광역시, J지역 초등학교에 근무하고 있는 현직 초등교사 5명을 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 자료수집은 비참여관찰, 반구조화된 설문지, 개인면담 등을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 질적연구 방법의 하나인 근거 이론적 접근 방법을 이용하여 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩의 부호화 과정을 통해 개념화하였다. 그 결과 첫째, ‘학생선수 경험을 가진 초등교사’에 대한 범주적 이해과정에서는 52개의 개념, 14개의 하위범주 그리고 범주 6개가 도출되었다. 둘째, 근거이론 모형을 분석한 결과 학생선수경험을 가진 초등교사들은 과거 G교육대학교가 시행한 체육특기자 특별전형제도를 통해서 초등교사가 될 수 있었다. 셋째, 학생선수경험을 가진 초등교사들은 선수생활 못지않는 예비교사시절과 초등임용고시를 합격하여 초등교사가 된 이후에도 해당 지역내에서 초등체육전문지도자로서의 역량을 지속적으로 펼치고 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 결국 이러한 내용을 종합해 볼 때 과거 G교육대학교가 시행한 학생선수출신 초등교사양성제도에 대해 시대적으로 재조명해 볼 필요가 있다. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to deeply analyze the lives of elementary school teachers who had experiences in student athletes from elementary school to physical education high school through Grounded theory method, and to re-examine the life in which they lived and to reveal the reality theory. Methods: To this end, five current elementary school teachers working in elementary schools in Glory city and Jade province were selected as research participants. Data collection was conducted with non-participation observation, semi-structured questionnaire, and in-depth interviews. The collected data was conceptualized through the coding processes of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding using the grounded theoretical approach, which is one of qualitative research methods. Results: in the categorical understanding of ’student pre-exported elementary school teacher’, 52 concepts, 13 subcategories, and 6 categories were derived through open coding. Second, as a result of analyzing the evidence-based paradigm model, the central phenomenon of the participants was that they became elementary teachers only through the special selection system of the physical education specialists conducted by Glory Education University. Third, elementary school teachers with student athlete experience were able to maintain their ability as elementary physical education professional instructors even after passing the preliminary teacher days and elementary school appointment notices that are as good as the athletes. Conclusion: the participants recognized that ’the re-evaluation of the times’ is necessary for the special selection system of the physical education specialists conducted by the Glory education university in the past.

      • Glucotoxicity in the INS-1 Rat Insulinoma Cell Line Is Mediated by the Orphan Nuclear Receptor Small Heterodimer Partner

        <P>Prolonged elevations of glucose concentration have deleterious effects on beta-cell function. One of the hallmarks of such glucotoxicity is a reduction in insulin gene expression, resulting from decreased insulin promoter activity. Small heterodimer partner (SHP; NR0B2) is an atypical orphan nuclear receptor that inhibits nuclear receptor signaling in diverse metabolic pathways. In this study, we found that sustained culture of INS-1 cells at high glucose concentrations leads to an increase in SHP mRNA expression, followed by a decrease in insulin gene expression. Inhibition of endogenous SHP gene expression by small interfering RNA partially restored high-glucose-induced suppression of the insulin gene. Adenovirus-mediated overexpression of SHP in INS-1 cells impaired glucose-stimulated insulin secretion as well as insulin gene expression. SHP downregulates insulin gene expression via two mechanisms: by downregulating PDX-1 and MafA gene expression and by inhibiting p300-mediated pancreatic duodenal homeobox factor 1-and BETA2-dependent transcriptional activity from the insulin promoter. Finally, the pancreatic islets of diabetic OLETF rats express SHP mRNA at higher levels than the islets from LETO rats. These results collectively suggest that SHP plays an important role in the development of beta-cell dysfunction induced by glucotoxicity.</P>

      • 흰쥐 이자 Insulin과 Neuropeptide Y 분비세포의 발생에 관한 면역조직화학적 연구

        Cells immunoreactive to insulin(INS-IR) and neuropeptide Y(NPY-IR) were found in prenatal(E15, 17, 19) and postnatal(P0, 5, 10, 15, 30, adult) rat pancreas using immunohistochemistry. Pancreatic INS-IR and NPY-IR were detected by day E17. They were found initially in the interlobular pancreatic duct, intralobular pancreatic duct and pancreatic islet gradually. Especially, INS-IR was detected in the dorsal pancreatic bud by day E19. The INS-IR and NPY-IR patterns were nearly similiar to each other, and many cells revealed colocalization of INS and NPY until day P10. But there was a change between them by the day P15 ; central INS-IR cells and peripheral NPY-IR in the pancreatic islet. The number of pancreatic islets per square millimeter of pancreatic tissue were decreased, and the number of immunoreactive endocrine cells per islet was increased according to development. These results suggest NPY may play a role in the development of the pancreatic endocrine cells.

      • 개 시상하부의 Neuropeptides에 대한 면역조직화학적 연구

        The distribution and localization of somatostatin(SOM), neuropeptide Y(NPY), vasopressin(VP), and oxytocin(OT) were studied with a immunohistochemical technique in the canine hypothalamus. The SOM-immunoreactive perikarya were concentrated in the anterior periventricular and the arcuate nuclei. Immunoreactive terminals were observed in the arcuate, the ventromedial hypothalamic, the suprachismatic nuclei and the external layer of the median emmence. A great number of NPY-immunoreactive cell bodies were found in the arcuate nucleus and NPY fibers were located throughout the hypothalamus with the highest concentration especially in the paraventricular (PVN) and the acuate nuclei. Moderately or densely stained fibers were also observed in the median eminence, the suprachiasmatic. the periventricular, the ventromedial hypothalamic, the dorsomedial hypothalamic and the medial preoptic nuclei, and the stria terminalis. Both VP-and OT-containing perikarya were found mainly in the PVN and supraoptic nucleus(SON). but a few were seen in the perifornical area, the lateral hypothalamus, the dorsal hypothalamic and the periventricular nucleus. The fibers originated from the PVN were projected to the SON via ventral or dorsal area of the fornix.
