        한국인 본태성 고혈압환자에서 Angiotensinogen M235T 유전자 다양성

        N/A Background: Potential involvement of the angio-tensinogen gene(M235T) in the pathogenesis of essen-tial hypertension has been suggested by some inves- tigators. However, an association between M235T gene polymorphism and essential hypertension has been reported by some, but not by others. Since genetic diversity exists among different ethnic population, we addressed the question of whether there is an association between M235T gene poly-morphism and essential hypertension in the Korean. Methods: 100 patients with essential hypertension and 100 control subjects were recruited from out- patients at the Department of Internal Medicine, Soon-chunhyang Hospital, Chunan City. The criteria for hypertension was defined as systolic blood pressure higher than 160mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure higher than 95mmHg. For detection of the M235T polymorphism at the angiotensinogen locus, the primer sequences were: sense primer : 5'-TGAAGGAG- AAGGTGTCTGCGGGA-3' and antisense primer : 5'- AGGACGGTGCGGTGAGAGTG-3'. The PCR product mixture was exposed to restriction enzyme Tthlll I and then submitted to electrophoresis in polyacryl-amide gel. Differences between the molecular variants of the gene in hypertensives and normotensives were com- pared by using the X²test. p<0.05 was considered statistically significant. The odds ratio and 95% confidence interval were calculated using Woolf's method. Results: Compared with the control subjects, hypertensives had higher values of three established risk factors for hypertension : age, BMI cholesterol (total and LDL). X analysis showed no difference in the distribution of genotype or allele frequency between the hypertensives and normotensives(X²=1.14, p=0.29). The crude odds ratio was 0.73 for CC over CT(95% confidence interval 0.41-1.30). The adjusted odds ratio with age, sex, lipid profilcs and BMI was 0.68 for CC over CT(9596 confidence interval 037-1,23). Conclusion : The molecular varient M235T of the angiotensinogen gene is not associated with essential hypertension in Korean population.

        The present study was designed to be link a part of the research on the investigation on daily life and consciousness of the longevous people in Korea, and to investigate the health conditions, and the attitude on disease and suffering of longevous people in the past. 1. By the health conditions of longevous people between 40 and 60 years, ""very good"" showed the highest figure of 71.0%, followed by ""ordinary"" (21.6%). Consequently it is found that 92.6% of total longevous people surveyed maintained the good health conditions above ordinary. 2. Of the experiences of disease and/or injury after 60 years of longevous people, ""never"" showed the highest figure of 74.7%, while ""had"" showed the only 22.6% of total longevous people surveyed. 3. Of the details of disease and/or injury after 60 years of longevous people. ""digestive disease"" showed the highest figure of 32.6%. followed by ""apoplexia cerebri & hypertensions""(14.0%) and ""heart disease""(14.0%), and followed by ""respiratory disease""(12.3%). 4. Of the experiences of suffering between 40 and 60 years of longevous people, ""never"" showed 53.7% of total longevous people surveyed, while the frequency of suffering decreased in the order of ""once""(22.7%), ""2 times""(15.8%) and ""3 times""(4.7%). By the details of suffering between 40 and 60 years of longevous people. ""family life"" showed the highest figure of 85.1%, followed by ""business""(10.1%). 5. By the attitude on suffering of longevous people, ""tried to forget soon"" showed the highest figure of 54.2%, followed by ""continuous worried""(23.3%), and followed by ""not worried""(7.2%).

        8년간(1992~1999) 산업안전보건연구원에 의뢰된 직업병 심의 사례 분석

        Objectives : Pneumoconisis and noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) have been reported as main occupational diseases by the Special Health Examination. The Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance has reported various work-related diseases, however, these two diseases occupied almost a half of compensated cases. Therefore, it was not well known about the status of occupational diseases other than pneumoconiosis, NIHL, and cardio-cerebrovascular accident (CVA). This study was conducted to analyze claimed cases as an occupational disease, that was requested to the Korea Industrial Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA). Methods : The local office of the Korea Labor Welfare Corporation (KLWC) has asked the KOSHA for confirmation of claimed cases as an occupational disease. We analyzed 379 cases requested from KLWC, the Ministry of Labor, employers, unions and occupational health agencies from 1992 to 1999. Results : Male was 80.7 % of the requested cases. Their mean age was 42 years old and 75.5 % of them were more than 35 years old. The requested cases were increased rapidly from 25 cases in 1992 to 108 cases in 1999 and the accept rate was 50.7 %. The majority of requested cases were respiratory diseases(22.4%), cancers(18.5%), Neuropsychiatric problems(14.5%), and musculoskeletal problems(13.5%). The accept rate was high in reproductive, respiratory, musculoskeletal and digestive disorders and low in neuropsychiatric, renal and otologic problems and occupational cancers. 73.6% of them were caused by chemical agents, especially 28.5 % were by organic solvents. 67% of them were clinically confirmed at university hospitals. A half of the cases were from KyongIn area, even the request came from the whole country. Conclusions : A claim was common in workers whose age was over 35 years old and exposure history was over 10 years. The respiratory diseases and neuropsychiatric disorders were still main problems in occupational health and occupational cancers was increasing even though its accept rate was not high yet.

      • Cementation 법에 의한 흑연 분말상의 구리 코팅

        We studied the copper cementation and homogeneous coating on the graphite powder by changing the activation temperature and the amount of wetting agent. When we peformed the activation process above 380℃, we were able to achieve the homogeneous copper coating layer on the graphite powder. However, it was impossible to get the homogeneous coating layer on the graphite powder without the activation process. In addition, wetting process on the graphite powder is essential for improving the efficiency of copper cementation. As a result, the optimum condition for copper coating on the graphite by cementation is to add 1㎖ glacial acetic acid and mix with 7g copper sulphate(CuSO4 · 5H2O) and 2g zinc.

      • 雨水排除 管網의 흐름 追跡 分析

        The present study attempts to present an improved method of designing storm sewer systems by applying the flow routing through drain systems. The preformances of the new methods were tested with a reasonably acceptable result by compring the results of analyses with actual flow hydrographs absewed at the lowert points of an existing sewer system during a heavy stormrain. Comporisons between the traditional rationale method and the propased one were made with the results of analyses by two methods applied to an existing system and an experienced heady stormrain. The comparative analyses produced a generally acceptable agreement but with some discrepancies in herent to both methods. The conclusions of the present study are briefly summarized as follows : 1. The results of flow routing analyses applied to a test sewer system under a actual stormrain were in a close agreement with the observed hydrograph. 2. The comparisons of performances in an existing sewer system under an experienced stormrain were made by applying both the traditional rationale method and the flow routing method, producing a promising result. Some disagreement between the two methods were thought to be inhereut to the differences of computational procedures. 3. The comparative analyses seem to lead to a conclusion that the method based on the flow routing through the drain system reasonably reflects the physical features of the system in the computational procedures. 4. Finally, it is recommended that the traditional rational method could be applied to sewers in the earler stage of desinging storm sewers when the sized of sers are tentatively determined. The flow routing analysis may proceed with the sewer system thus determined, allowing minor modifications of sewer sizes and alignments.

        수소손상 검출과 평가기술

        산업현장에서 수소는 설비를 손상시킬 수 있는 주원인 중의 하나이며, 종종 설비를 파괴시키는 사고를 발생시킨다. 수소손상에 의한 결정립계의 공동 또는 미세균열은 강재의 파괴인성과 강도를 떨어뜨리는 원인이 되고, 따라서 과거 제한적인 방법으로 수소손상을 평가하기 위한 시도가 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 초음파를 적용하여 수소손상을 검출하고 평가하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 미세조직시험에 의해 확인된 시험편을 이용하여 초음파의 속도와 감쇠계수를 구한 결과, 수소손상에 의해서 초음파 속도는 감소하고 감쇠는 현저하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 수소손상을 검출하기 위한 신뢰성 있는 평가법을 제시하였다. The presence of hydrogen in industrial plants is a source of damage. Hydrogen attack is one such form of degradation and often causing large tube ruptures that necessitate an immediate shutdown. Hydrogen attack may reduce the fracture toughness as well as the strength of steels. This reduction is caused partially by the presence of cavities and microcracks at the grain boundaries. In the past several techniques have been used with limited results. This paper describes the application of an ultrasonic velocity and attenuation in hydrogen damage. Ultrasonic tests showed a decrease in wave velocity and an increase in attenuation. Such results demonstrate the potential for ultrasonic nondestructive testing to quantify damage. Based on this study, reliable recommendation is suggested to detect hydrogen attack.

      • 복숭아 품종별 경지 삽목에 있어서 삽수기부의 Wounding이 발근 및 활착에 미치는 영향

        The effect of wounding method on rooting and field adaptation was studied in 'Sunaga Wase' peach and several cultivars in order to establish mass production system of rooted cutting. Rooting was more than 90% in 'Sunaga Wase', 'Kurakata wase', 'Wolbongjosaeng' and 'Wolmijosaeng', and Root number, weight and length showed similar tendency, however, taking root in field was the highest, as much as 75.8% 'in Sunaga Wase'. Modified wounding tool (MWT) was more effective than current method because rooted cutting with MWT showed high root growth including rooting, root number, root weight and saved wounding time.

      • 탄소성 변형을 받는 냉간 압연강의 X선 잔류응력 특성에 관한 연구

        In textured material, diffraction angle 2θ usually shows a nonlinear relation against sin^2Ψ due to elastic anisotropy of crystals. SPHD and SPCD steel is cold-rolled carbon steel for automobile. The characteristics X-ray for stress measurement is Cr K_α and Mo K_α1characteristic X-ray. The sin^2Ψ-2θ diagram under elastic strain seems to have a linear behavior using regression line of data but has a nonlinear behavior in distribution of data by Cr K_αcharacteristic X-ray. As the plastic strain of specimen increases, the nonlinearity of 2θ with respect to sin^2Ψ increases remarkably. On the other hand, the diffraction angle 2 θ by Mo K_α1 characteristic X-ray shows a good linearity on sin^2Ψ-2θ diagram under plastic strain as well as elastic strain. Therefore, This paper presents the measurement of residual stress in cold-rolled carbon steel for automobile using penetration depth of Mo K_α1 charateristic X-ray and multiplicity factor of crystal diffraction plane.

      • 제올라이트(NaA형, NaX형)의 이온교환성에 관한 연구

        A study has been made of the exchange of Ag^+, Li^+, and Ba^++, Ca^++, Sr^++ ion by using synthetic zeolite-13X and zeolite-NaA. The zeolite used in this work was supplied as beads by Aldrich Chemical Company, Inc., and the formula of unit cell is M_x/n[AlO₂)_x(SiO₂)_y]zH₂O. X-ray diffraction analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy indicated that the crystallinity of zeolites was retained though sodium ion in zeolite exchanged with the cation. The amount of ion exchanged was measured by the determining of the amount of cation remained in solution by Inductively coupled plasma, and surface area, adsorption isotherm, Ion exchange kinetics. The selectivity of ions was in the order Ag^+>Li^+>Sr^++>Ca^++>Ba^++.

      • 私立大學生의 成長發育 및 營養狀態에 關한 硏究 : 中學校 入試有無過程을 通한 比較

        In order to ascertain any possible changes in the physical and the nutritional status of Korean high school students before and after the abolishment of college entrance examination system, an intensive survey was conducted on the physical conditions of the incoming freshmen students (9532 males and 3428 females) of Kyung Hee University from 1972 to 1980. The finding are as below. 1. Physical growth conditions In each of the average physical dimensions of body height, body weight, chest girth and sitting height, a remarkable improvement was recorded for all age groups after the matriculation was abolished. 2. Physical and nutritional indices Relative body weight showed constant values of 35.0 in male and 32.0 in female. Relative chest girth showed the normal chest girth style in all age groups of both sexes. Relative sitting height showed a constant value of 54 for both sexes. The values of vervaeck index of th nutritional status were shown to be between 86-87 in male and 83-94 in female, Pelidisi index 91 and 92-93, Rohrer index of physical status 121-125 and 130-132, and Kaup index 206-211 and 202-210, respectively.
