        Antropometric Measurements and various physical fitness test were made on 2,508 males aged between 20 and 65 years and 927 females aged fetween 20 and 60 years Antropometric measurements were made on body height, body weight, cicumference chest and abdominal circumference Physical fitness tests were made on 100m Run, Standing long jump, vertical jump, hand ball throw, sit-ups, Standing Trunk Felex-ion, Zigzag Run, and Shuttle Run, Endurance run. The results were tabulated as follows table 2, mean values of height, weight, circumference chest and abdominal circumference by age in male and female. Table 3, mean values of 100m Run, Standing broad jump and vertical jump by age in male and female. Table 4, mean values of hand ball drow, Sit-ups and standing trunk flexion by age in male and female. Table 5, mean values of zigzag Run, Shuttle run and Endurance run by age in male and female.

      • 運動選手의 血中 총콜레스테롤과 고밀도 지단백 콜레스테롤(HDL-C)에 관한 硏究

        The purpose of the study was to investigate serum total cholesterol (TC), High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDL-C) levels and TC/HDL-C ratio in male and female national calibers athletes. The subjects were 240 national caliber male athletes and 61 female athletes who were training at Korean national college of physical education. Approximately 5 ml of venous blood sample was drawn from each subject, and were tested total cholesterol and high density lipoprotein cholesterol levels. As a result of tests, conclusions were made as follows: 1.Total cholesterol level was shown 146 ㎎% in case of male athletes and 154 ㎎% in case of female. 2. High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol level was shown 54 ㎎% in case of male athletes and 61 ㎎% in case of female. 3. TC/HDL-C ratio was shown 2.67 in case of male athletes and 2.55 ㎎% in case of female. 4. The results of TC, HDL-C and TC/HDL-C ratio on detailed sports events were presented in table 2 and 3, and comparison of the results between, previous studies and this study was presented in table 4, respectively.

        For the purpose of providing basic data on the Physique and physical fitness on Table tennis, Badminton, and Tennis. The results of the comparison between these athletes are as follows ; 1. Table tennis atletes showed to be higher in heigh, weight, and chest girth than the badminton and tennis athletes, but in the upper limb length, the tennis athletes showed higher and for the low limb the badminton athletes showed to be higher. 2. Between the three sports athletes, the tennis athlete showed to be stronger in grip strength and the 50 meter run. while the table tennis athletes showed to be stronger in leg strength and sargent jump and badminton athletes showed to be stronger in the arm strength and back strength. 3. Among the tennis players, badminton players and table tennis players, the tennis players showed to be higher in Trunk flexion, side step test, and harvard step test. While in the trunk extension whole body reactiontime, and 2,000 meter run, the table tennis players scored hghest while the badminton players scored lowest all around. 4. In the whole, the table tennis players showed to be much more advanced in physical fitness, while tennis came in to second and badminton third.

      • 陸上競技選手의 體格 및 體力比較에 關한 硏究 : 단거리, 중장거리, 투척, 도약 선수를 중심으로

        For the purpose of providing basic data on the physique and physical fitness on track and Feild, the results of the comparison between track athletes and field events athletes are as follows. 1.The field athletes showed to be higher in height, weight, chest girth, upper limb length, low limb, strength, and skinfold thickness, then the track athletes. 2.The track athletes and feild athletes showed to have similar physical fitness in the arm strength and 50m run. The track athletes showed to be more advanced in sit ups, while in grip strength, back strength, leg strength and sargent jump. 3.The track athletes and feild athletes showed to have similar physical fitness in the trunk flaxion and side step test. In the 2,000 m Run and Havard step test, the track athletes showed to be more advanced, while in the trunk extention and whole body reaction time, the field athletes were more advanced. 4.In the whole, the track athletes showed to be much more advanced in physique and physical fitness.

      • 레스링 선수의 체력, 성격 및 일반성에 관한 연구(Ⅰ)

        The basic purpose of this study was to measure of physical fitness of Korean wrestlers. Varied physical fitness tests were given to the outstanding athletes of 22(4 of junior fly weight, 4 of fly weight, 4 of bantam weight, 4 of feather weight, 4 of light weight, 1 of welter weight and 1 of super heavy weight) who participated in reinforced training camp prepared for the Mu¨nchen Olympic Game in 1971. The results of this study pointed out the followings: 1. The wrestling athletes in 1971 showed better scores of their physical fitness test, than the wrestling athletes in 1968. 2. The wrestling athletes who were junior fly, fly and bantam weight showed better relative scores of their physical fitness tests than the wrestling athlete who were feather, light and welter weight.

        The purpose of this study was to planned to obtain the basic data for training schedule and analyze the result of yearly training. The subjects were 90 national caliber male athletes and 23 female athletes who were training at Korean National College of Physical Education. All athletes were tested maximal oxygen uptake, maximal heart rate, and maximal blood lactic acid accumlating level. The maximal oxygen uptake was a little lower than world caliber athletes, and the range above 50ml/㎏min and below 80ml/㎏/min. The range of maximal heart rate was between 180 beat per minute and 190 beat per minute, and the range of maximal blood latic acid accumulating level was leveled between 60ml per cent and 90ml per cent. In conclusion, the subjects who were participated this study had a little lower maximal capacities than world caliber athletes, and especially low oxygen uptake would due to little stroke volume and inadequated oxygen using fraction in working muscles. And we assume that the subjects had a lower anaerobic enerfy than that of world caliber athletes, and also could be required fundamental training method revolution in order for improving maximal capacities.

      • 鐵分投與가 安靜時 血液鐵分水準 및 競技力에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of iron ingestion on performance and at rest in athletes who were shown iron deficency and at rest in athletes who were shown iron deficency symptom. 30 subjects (male:15, female:15) who were divided in three groups, one control group and two experimental groups ingested iron tablet for 8 weeks. One experimental group ingested 100㎎ of iron per day and the other experimental geoup ingested 200㎎ of iron per day for 8 weeks. The results were summarized as follow; 1) The level of RBC, Hematocrit value, and Hemoglobin in experimental groups were significantly improved than that of control group after 8 weeks ingestion. 2) The levels of iron (RBC, Hb Hct) in female subjects were significantly improved than that of male subjects after 8 weeks ingestion. 3) It was not shown a significant difference between two experimental groups. 4) Maximum heart rate and all out time in all subjects were improved after 8 weeks ingestion. 5) Lactic acid accumulation and Vo₂max/㎏ were not effected by 8 weeks iron ingestion.

      • 운동부하강도와 休息方法이 血液의 젖산濃度와 혈액성분변화에 미치는 效果

        The purpose of the study was to investigate effects of work intensity and recovery patterns on changes of lactic acid concentration and blood components in endurance performances. 2 different work intensities and 5 different relief levels were used as protochol. Used 12 male endurance performers who belong to Korean National College of Physical Education as Subjects, and the results were summerized as follows; The increasing ratio of lactic acid concentration in blood was shown difference in accordance with work intensities, But with the same work intensity the increasing ratio of lactic acid concentration in blood was not only shown significant differences (p<0.01) in accordance with recovery patterns, but differences with work intensity were effected by individual variance. To improve capacity of tolerence against lactic acid accumulation, jogging with 60% of individual maximal speed was superior to jogging with 90% of individual maximal speed and 2, or 4 minutes of passive recovery between work sets. Both of lactic acid production and removal were significantly increased in jogging with 60% of individual maximalspeed, therefore, to improve anaerobic endurance, 2 minutes of passive recovery was recommended because of more rapid break down of lactic acid accumulation with 2 minute, or more passive recovery. The change of blood volume according to work intensity and recovery patterns, were not resulted from changes of blood cell but resulted from changes of albumin, total protein, and plasma potassium (p<0.01).
