The exposure level of chromium and nickel for chrome and nickel plating workers were evaluated. Chromium and nickel concentrations in serum from 82 exposed workers and 66 controls, who were not exposed occupationally to metals, were analyzed by flameless atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The results were as follows : 1. The recovery percent of chromium and nickel concentrations in personal air samples were 95.9-108.2%, 88.0-107.7%, previsions (C.V. %) were 2.7-3.1%, 2.1-4.4%, respectively. 2. The recovery percent of chromium and nickel concentrations in serum were 93.6-106.4%, 91.3-107.9%, and previsions (C.V. %) were 1.7-7.6%. 2.4-5.4% respectively. 3. The exposure level of chromium and nickel concentrations in the place of preparation process were 2.0±2.00㎍/㎥, chromplating were 35.7±53.07㎍/㎥, 2.8±3.42㎍/㎥, nickelplating were 4.6±5.8㎍/㎥, 18.62±4.41㎍/㎥, and covering were 2.9±2.02㎍/㎥, 1.1±0.47㎍/㎥ respectively. There were significant difference of concentrations for chromium and nickel in workplaces by groups statistically. 4. Chromium concentrations in serum of exposed group and control were 0.68±0.399 ㎍/l, 1.41 0.748㎍/1, respectively. There were significant difference of concentrations for chromium and nickel in serum by groups statistically. 5. Chromium and nickel concentrations in serum of exposed group were not significant by workplaces.
푸리에 변환 적외선 분광기에 의한 사망한 탄광부 진폐증자의 폐조직내 석영농도

This study was analysis of α-quartz in the 37 worker's lung died of coat workers' pneumoconiosis(CWP) and in the 9 normal's lung by Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer. The results were as follows : 1. The dried lung weight percents in wet lung weight were 24.4%, 25.4%, coal workers' pneumoconiosis and normal lungs, respectively. Ash weight percents in dried lung weight were 7.7%, 5.0%, coal workers' pneumoconiosis and normal lungs, respectively. 2. The precision (as of coefficient of variation) for the α-quartz determination were 2.6% in standard quartz (ranged from 9.9 to 198.0 ㎍) and 3.7% in ashed lung samples. 3. The characteristic α-quartz absorption spectra in lungs of CWP were only shawn by LTA ashing. 4. Geometric mean of α-quartz concentration in CWP lung was 173㎎/100g dried lung. 5. The concentrations of α-quartz in Korean CWP lungs were similar to those of foreign coal miner's lungs.

VE is one of the most effective and systematic tool available to achieve the required function at minimum cost and manage in many industrial fields. The purpose of the preparation phase VE job plan is to establish a cooperation system referring to groups for the successful implementation of VE, and to achieve a common objective to collect sufficient materials required in the analysis phase. The Quality Model is used to measure the requirement of shareholders(users and owners)in the project. It also offers a guideline on decision making when executing the function definition, function arrangement, function evaluation, and the idea evaluation of VE. However, the current the preparation phase business confirms that the required items of owners and users has not suggested definite goals and directions. This study analyzes the problems of current work in the preparation phase from case study, survey and interviews of experts. It then proposes a new process after understanding the required items of owners, users and experts.
