      • Aflatoxin B_1 투여가 急性 肝 病變에 미치는 영향에 對한 病理學的 硏究

        In an attempt of elucidate the pathologic and histochemical changes of aflatoxin B_2-induced hepatie lesions, the present study in male Sprague-Dawley rats was undertaken to evalute the relation between pathologic change of the liver and histochemical changes of several enzymes : alkaline phosphatase, acid phosphatase and succinic dehydrogenase at 3. 9. 24. 48. 72, and 144 hours after single administration of aflatoxin B_1 by gastric tube. The aflatoxin B_1 was dissolved in peanut oil(0.5㎎ aflatoxin B_1 to 0.5ml peanut oil). Grouop of male rats received aflatoxin B_1 1㎎ per ㎏ of body weight, respectively. Control animals were given a similar volume of peanut oil alone. The results on morphologic and histochemical changes were as follows: 1. The necrotic change of liver was mainly periportal, and it became most severe at 24 hours and was more prominent in the large dose group than the small dose group. 2. Biliary ductular cell proliferation started to appear within 72 hours and after became regressed later in the small dose group, but it remained approximately 144 hours after exposure in the large dose group. 3. Electron microscopically, all three groups showed irregular nuclear membrane and nucleolar change characterized by segregation of granular and fibrillar elements. All the group showed cytoplasmie changes such as dilatation of rough endoplasmic reticulum with detached ribosome, hyperplasia of smooth endoplasmic reticulum, increased numbers of lipid droplets and mitochondrial alteration. The above change in the large dose group was more severe than those of the small dose group. 4. In the histochemical study of experimental animals, there was a decrease in the intensity of the staining reaction of alkaline phosphatase and succinic dehydrogenase within 24 hours and a progressive decrease in staining intensity was noted at 144 hours. And then the staining intensity of the acid phosphatase was similar to that shown by the control animal. In summary, the data obtained by present experiments indicate aflatoxin B_1 exerts periportal necrosis of hepatic lobules accompanied by bile ductular cell proliferation, and inhibition of protein synthesis, as jedged by elertron microscopic and histochemical changes.

        농작물을 위한 드론 분무 농약 살포의 3차원 분석에 관한 연구

        농작물들의 크기와 형태는 매우 다양하며 생육 환경도 각기 다르다. 따라서 드론을 활용하여 농약을 살포할 때에는 각 농작물에 대한 재배 환경과 특성이 고려되어야 하며, 이에 따라 드론의 비행고도, 전진속도 등 비행 조건이 달라져야 한다. 실제로 비행 조건에 따라 농약의 액적 유동이 크게 영향을 받게 되며, 살포 영역에 큰 변화가 발생하고 이로 인해 불균일한 액적 분포가 후류에 형성되어 농약의 전달 효율성이 떨어질 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 비산에 대한 위험성이 존재하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 농업용 드론을 사용하여 특성이 다른 3가지 농작물을 선정하고 드론의 비행 조건을 각각 다르게 하여 농약을 살포했을 때 후류에서의 노즐 유동을 수치해석을 통하여 분석하였으며, 전달되는 액체의 비율을 확률 밀도 함수의 평균 제곱근을 나눈 새로운 성능지수를 이용하여 비교함으로써 작물의 특성에 따른 드론의 농약 살포 가이드라인을 구축하고자 한다. The size and shape of crops are diverse, and the growing environment is also different. Therefore, when one uses a drone to spray pesticides, the characteristics of each crop must be considered, and flight conditions such as the flight height and forwarding velocity of the drone should be changed. The droplet flow of pesticides is affected by various flight conditions, and a large change occurs in the sprayed area. As a result, an uneven distribution of liquid may be formed at the wake, and the transport efficiency will be decreased as well as there would be a risk of toxic scatter. Therefore, this paper analyzes the degree of distribution of pesticides to the crops through numerical analysis when pesticide is sprayed onto the selected three crops with different characteristics by using agricultural drones with different flight conditions. On the purpose of establishing a guideline for spraying pesticides using a drone in accordance with the characteristics of crops, this paper compares the amount of pesticides distributed in the crops at the wake of nozzle flow using the figure of merit, and the sum of transported liquid rate divided by the root mean square of the probability density function.

        소의 대동맥 내피세포에서 산화저밀도 지단백에 의한 아포프토시스에 백일해 독소 및 콜레라 독소가 미치는 영향

        N/A Objectives : Oxidized LDL is thought to play a key role in atherogenesis. Among their wide variety of biological properties, oxidized LDL injures the endothelium as an early event of atherogenesis. However, the mechanisms by which oxidized LDL injures endothelial cells are not definitely known. In order to evaluate the involvement of GTP-binding protein on the mechanism of apoptosis, we studied the effects of pertussis and cholera toxin on oxidized LDL-induced apoptosis in bovine aortic endothelial cells(BAECs). Methods : Oxidized LDL elicited apoptosis in cultured BAECs as shown by characteristic morphological and biochemical changes. Chromatin condensation and nucleus fragmentation were visualized by using fluorescence microscopy of intact cells staining by acridine orange/ ethidium bromide. DNA fragmentation was quantified by an ELISA with specific antibody for bromodeoxyuridine- labelled DNA fragments and confirmed with DNA ladder formation. Results : Studies using a combination of bacterial toxins which change the function of GTP-binding protein suggest that oxidized LDL-induced apoptosis was regulated by GTP-binding protein. Oxidized LDL-induced apoptosis was not changed by pretreatment of BAECs with pertussis toxin. In contrast, pretreatment with cholera toxin completely prevented the oxidized LDL- induced apoptosis. Conclusion : These results show that oxidized LDL induces apoptosis of BAECs and suggest that cholera toxin-sensitive G-proteins are involved in signal transduction of oxidized LDL-induced apoptosis of BAEC.

      • 도금사업장의 작업환경의 유해인자 노출수준에 관한 연구

        Objective : For the purpose of preparing the fundamental data and assessing the status of exposure level of chemical substances and physical agents. Methods and Material : Such as noise, two types of dust, four types of metals, seventeen types of organic solvents, and four types of other materials classified by specific chemical substances in 21 metal product plating factories classified by 28 processes. The author determined exposure level on those hazardous materials from Jan. to Dec. 2001. Results : The results were as follows: 1. The exposure level for noise was exceeded to Threshold Limit Value(TLV) in the process of 6 cases of Machining, 5 and 4 cases of pre and post-buffing, and 6 cases of waterdrop-removing, the mean noise level of all of processes was not exceeded to compliance level. 2. The exposure level for dust was not exceeded to TLV at all. 3. The exposure level for Chromium(Cr) was exceeded to TLV in Chromium plating process, metal exposure level including Zinc(Zn), Manganese(Mn), and Lead(Pb) was not exceeded to TLV. 4. The exposure level of toluene in case of organic solvents was exceeded to TLV in 1 case of finishing/cleaning, coating/developing process, respectively. 5. The exposure level of four types of other materials classified by specific chemical substances were not exceeded to TLV. 6. The exposure level for dust and metal including Zn, Mn, and Pb was decreased in comparison with two results of air monitoring performed. There was no difference of the exposure level for Cr, noise, and four types of other materials classified by specific chemical substances, and the exposure level for organic solvents was slightly increased. 7. The exposure level for noise in factories employing more than 21 workers was higher than that for noise in foadtories employing less than 20 workers. The more workers, the lower exposure level in metal including Zn, Mn. The exposure level for Cr was increasing in factories employing more than 51 workers, and the more workers the lower exposure level in organic solvents. Conclusion : According to above results, this study suggests positive work environment managements in processes exceeding exposure limit value as well as continuously consecutive work environment management in processes not exceeding exposure limit value and revealing no chronological difference of exposure level should be needed.

        土性이 다른 두가지의 土壤으로 排水調節과 鐵加用에 따라 水稻生育關係를 試驗한 結果를 要約하면 다음과 같다. 1) 生育期間中 生育狀態가 砂質系가 良好하였다. 2) 稈長, 穗當粒數, 登熱率, 葉重, 有效莖比率, 收量 等은 埴質系에서 당水 및 鐵加用區에서 현저치 減少하였다. 3) 珪酸의 吸收는 生育期間中 砂質系가 높고 또한 鐵加用區가 鐵無加用區보다 높은 경향이다. 4) 鐵의 吸收는 生有初期에서 埴質系가 높고 收穫期에서 湛水處理의 鐵加用區가 높다. Old and gigantic trees and culturally valuale groves were investigated in Namhae islands, the former (old and gigantic trees) were 24 trees consited of 7 spesises, latter were 10 groves consisted of 91 spesies. Of them, the tree spesies on the spot survey making up 2 natural monumental groves, Mulgonlee-fishery grove and Meejolee-evergreen grove were considerably different from that of the authorities concerned. Then the table 2-6 may be valuable for their reference.

      • 이온빔에 의해 제조한 TiN 박막의 기계적 성질

        Hard coating on cutting tools have become an imteresting research area in mechanical engineering. Thin film of titanium nitride(TiN) has beem used to extend tool life using its high hardness, wear resistance and high melting point. This film material can be prepared usually by CVD or PVD, but CVD involves high temperature processing and low deposition rate, Dual ion beam(DIM) deposition, a simultaneous process of sputter deposition and ion beam assist, is a movel technique for achieving excellent film properties with enhanced adhesion to the substrate. TiN films hace been prepared on the WC insert tip using DIB deposition techniqe. The effects of processing parameters such as N/Ti arrival ratio and ion beam crrent to the crystal structures and mechanical properties of the films were investigated. XRD analysis indicated that the crystalline structure of the TiN films was changed from amorphous phase forr N/Ti ratio of 0.5 to TiN(200) for high N/Tiratio of 1.0. The lowest wear rate of the film was obtained with N/Ti ration of 1.25 and ion beam current of 0.6 mA whih showed both high hardness and good adhesion to the substrate.

        제조업 산업장의 유기용제 노출에 관한 연구

        Objective : For the purpose of preparing the fundamental data and health promotion and control program on organic solvents in air of manufacturing industry. Methods : The author surveyed number of organic solvent components which was used in working site and also determined the organic solvents concentration in air of 927 manufacturing industries and 1,267 working process with gas chromatography(NIOSH manual) for five years from 1995 to 1999. Results : Mean numbers of solvents components by type of industry, working process was number of 12. There were exceeded to TLV of 1,2-dichloroethane in textile manufacturing industry N,N-dimethyl furan in tanning and dressing of leather ; luggage, handbags, saddlery, harness and footwear manufacturing industry and chemical and chemical product manufacturing industry by type of industry. There were exceeded to TLV of 1,2-dichloroethane in handwriting and drawing process, cellosolove in adhesive spreading process, N,N-dimethly furan in production of solvent process and adhesion process by working process. Total exceeded rate to threshold limit values of organic solvents mixture were 12.9% for EI(Exposure index) and 10.0% for Em(Estimation of mixture) by type of industry, 11.3% for EI and 8.2% for Em by type of working process. The highest exceed rate was 36.7% for EI in tanning and dressing of leather ; luggage handbags, saddlery, harness and footwear manufacturing industry and 29.0% for Em in textile manufacturing industry. the highest exceeded rate was 23.1% for EI and 12.5% for Em in adhesive spreading process by working process. Mean values of total subjects by type of industry and type of working process were 0.7±1.8 for EI and 0.7±1.7 for Em respectively. Conclusions : As above results, the author suggest that it makes the environmental control program on 1.2-dichloro-ethane, N,N-dimethyl furan, cellosolve by kind of organic solvent and on textile manufacturing industry, tanning and dressing of leather ; luggage, handbags, saddlery harness and footwear manufacturing industry by type of industry, and on handwriting, drawing process and adhesive spreading process and adhesion process by type of working process.

      • 총 경정맥 영양 요법(TPN)중에 발생한 Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome 1 예

        Total parenteral nutrition is commonly known as a safe and convenient method of nutritional supplemantation for malnourished patients. Several metabolic complications have been adquately studied and reported their diagnosis and management. There was, however, no precisional data and studies of vitamin B1 deficiecy induced Wernicke's encephalopathy. And Wernicke's encephalopathy may be difficult to recognize, expecially if it is in the early stage and if all manifestation s are not yet present, and because a patients with Wernicke's encephalopathy may become comatose and die if the disorder is not diagnosed and vitamin B1 not given promptly. Therefore Wernicke's encephalopathy is emergent. We report a case of Wernicke-Korsakoff encephalopathy that was caused by vitamin B1 deficiency

        In the treatment of tuberculous spondylitis, posterior spinal fusion is more simple and safe procedures than anterior spinal fusion. We performed bilateral anterior spinal fusion with autologous iliac bone graft and concomitant with psoas muscle abscess drainage and antituberculosis drug. As a result, patient was possible early ambulation and he had no recurrence, no complication such as resorption of bone fragment and kyphotic angle change. This article describeds the advantage of bilateral anterior approach in tuberculous spondylitis wish psoas abscess.

      • 위암으로 오인된 악성 흑색종 수술 1 예 : A case report

        The malignant melanoma matastatic to the stomach is a rare tumor. Its treatment is controversial and median survival after diagnosis is usually <1year. Here a case of malignant melanoma metastatic to the stomach is reported in a 77 years old woman who presented with epigastric discomfort for three months, and was diagnosed as ademocarcinoma at preoperation. The patient was performed subtotal gastrectomy, gastroduodenostomy, omentectomy, and was discharged with no complication on the twenty-one posoperation day. We report a case of malignant melanoma metastatic to the stomach with a review of the literature.
