There have been attempts to use biological samples other than sputum for the diagnosis of TB. Urine is promising clinical specimen because of its availability, ease of access, processing and storage, and the low infection risk to healthcare workers during sample collection. In this study we evaluated the outcomes of urine diagnostics in hospitalized MDR, XDR pulmonary TB patients. In order to detect TB-specific transrenal DNA, 10 urine samples were collected during the study period, and quickly added to 1 ml of a stabilization buffer to a final concentration of 10 mM, in order to minimize degradation of soluble DNA by nucleases. DNA was extracted from 8ml of whole urine and eluted in 25ul with an automated system based on magnetic silica particle technology. We used droplet PCR, it might be an ideal alternative to conventional real-time PCR for microorganism detection. We aimed to assess the capacity of ddPCR for detecting low levels of circulating Mycobacterium tuberculosis DNA target (known as IS6110). ddPCR was found to provide results in good agreement with the other methods tested and to be highly reproducible. In this study, the results show that ddPCR could be used to measure low levels of MTB DNA, and it has the potential to be used to diagnose pulmonary TB based on clinical samples. The application of the Tr-DNA test could provide a significant advance in the diagnosis of TB. The availability of new method using urine that is more convenient and accessible may greatly usefulness for individual hospitalized patients for monitoring their treatment process.

Cystic lymphangioma is a very rare pathology and the pancreatic ones represent an exceptional report that must be considered in the differential diagnosis with others and more frequent cystic lesions of the pancreas. We reported a case of intraabdominal cystic mass revealed as cystic lymphangioma of the pancreas. She, 48-year-old female, visited OPD with abdominal discomfort and weight loss. She was found to have an intraabdominal cystic mass. Abdomonal CT demonstrated a large septated intraabdominal cystic mass. Pathologic finding of resected mass revealed cystic lymphangioma of the pancreas.

Operative morbidity and mortality of pancreaticoduodenectomy has been decreasing but remains high. Unintended postoperative cutaneous biliary fistula involving the major bile ducts is an uncommon complication of pancreaticoduodenectomy. Prolonged biliary drainage may lead to severe metabolic disturbances, renal failure and cardiovascular collapse, and usually requires operative reintervention. Among 90 patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy from Feb. 1992 to Dec, 2000, 70 patients whose hospital records could be reviewed were included in this study. Cutaneous biliary fistula were observed in 19 cases(27.1%). In the 14 cases, a biliary drain was inserted around the injured duct via the biliocutaneous fistula. In these cases, biliary drainage alone resulted in resolution of the bile leak, because the injury was partial without a stricture. In the 5 cases, biliary stents were placed percutaneously across the injured portion of the bile duct. Pancreaticoduodenectomy is still associated with high mortality and morbidity even though there has been significant progress in the field of pancreatic surgery and postoperative follow-up. In the absence of organic stenosis, percutaneous drainage approach may be useful in patients with postoperative biliocutaneous fistula.

The aim of this study was to examine the effect of 3 types supplementary fluid(ion drink, fresh water, glucose drink) on blood lactate and electrolyte reaction. The subjects were 15 healthy male students enrolled on the Department of Physical Education at C University. The subjects were given an explanation of all laboratory procedures before giving their informed consent. After each drink, the subjects were taken a rest for 20 min, they performed the gradual increased exercise test on treadill by Bruce protocol program. The obtained results are as follows: 1. In the chang of temporal proceed, all variables had significant difference. Ion drink group had significant difference in lactate, Na and Cl. Fresh water drink group had significant difference in lactate and Cl. Glucose drink group had significant difference in lactate, Na, Mg, and Cl. 2. In the change among three groups, Na, and Cl variables had significant difference. Na had significant difference between fresh water group and the other group at post-exercise. Cl had significant difference between group and fresh water group at post-exercise, and between glucose group and ion group at recovery 20 min.
W. B. Yeats의 Cuchulain 극시에 나타난 Imagery연구
김태윤 한국 예이츠 학회 1991 한국예이츠 저널 Vol.1 No.-
W.B. Yeats was interested in the glory and faith of ancient Ireland, which he thought were embodied in the old Celtic myths and legends. Al his life, he tried to incorporate the glory and faith into modern Irish nationalism and culture. He concern with the restoration of the old glory and faith was closely related with his vision of cyclical processes that he tried to articulate throughout his life. Yeats's vision of cyclical progress of human soul is thus the ground of his understanding of human life and national history. He found that the Cuchulain stories in KLady Gregory's The Cuchulain of Muirthemne represernt such a cyclical progress of human soul. Yeats regarded modern Irish nationalists such as James Connolly and Padraic H. Pearse, who declared the establishment of the Irish Republic and led the Easter uprising in 1916, as the reincarnations of Cuchulain. In his Cuchulain cycle, thus, he dealt with the theme of the modern restoration of the glory and faith of the old Ireland. The purpose of this study is to examine how Yeats's vision of cyclical processes is symbolically dramatized in his Cuchulain cycle, which consists of the five plays. At the Hawk's Well, The Green Helmet, On Baile's Strand, The Only Jealousy of Emer and The Death of Cuchulain. If we approach the five Cuchulain plays as a cycle beginning with At the Hawk's Well and ending with The Death of Cuchulain, we can understand that the cycle is applied to the imagery of lunar phases on the Great Wheel in terms of resurrections as well as to that of the romance of Sun and Moon. Furthermore, the Cuchulain plays are associated with the changing points of the seasons, manely, solstics and equinox. These images are all concerned with Yeats's creation of a ritual of resuscitating a lost faith and glory in modern Ireland. That is, Yeats designed the Cuchulain cycle not only as a drama but as a ritual of restoring the old Irish heroism in modrn Ireland.
Treadmill 운동부하후 회복기에 있어서 혈액유형성분 변화에 관한 연구
김태윤 광주보건대학 1990 論文集 Vol.15 No.-
This study was performed to find the change of the blood formed elements at resting state and during the recovery period after treadmill exercise. The subjects were chosen five atheletes in C university and five non-atheletes. The number of leucocyte, erythrocyte, hemoglobin, and hematocrits were measured at resting state and 1 min, 3 min, 5 min, 10 min, and 20 min after treadmill exercise. The results were summarized as follows. 1. The nummber of leucocytes were significantly increasing at 1 min from rest state and decreasing at 5 min, 10 min, 20 min. 2. The nummber of erythrocrytes at 1 min after the exercise was more increased than a rest state and decreased at 3 min, 5 min, 10 min, 20 min. 3. Hemoglobin value was significantly increasing at 1 min and decreasing at 3, 5, 10, 20 min. 4. Hematorcits at 1 min after the exercise were increasing and decreasing in the course of time.
