Real-Time Simulation of Large Rotational Deformation and Manipulation

This paper proposes a real-time technique for simulating large rotational deformations. Modal analysis based on a linear strain tensor has been shown to be suitable for real-time simulation, but is accurate only for moderately small deformations. In the present work, we identify the rotational component of an infinitesimal deformation, and extend linear modal analysis to track that component. We then develop a procedure to integrate the small rotations occurring al the nodal points. An interesting feature of our formulation is that it can implement both position and orientation constraints in a straightforward manner. These constraints can be used to interactively manipulate the shape of a deformable solid by dragging/twisting a set of nodes, Experiments show that the proposed technique runs in real-time even for a complex model, and that it can simulate large bending and/or twisting deformations with acceptable realism.
A hybrid cutting technology using plasma and end mill for decommissioning of nuclear facilities

A hybrid cutting using both plasma and end mill was developed for safe and efficient dismantling ofnuclear facilities. In this cutting method, a moving arc plasma heats up the workpiece before milling. Thermally softened part of the workpiece is then removed quickly and deeply with an end mill. For thecutting experiments, a three-axis numerical control (NC) milling machine was combined with acommercialized arc plasma torch and used to cut 25 mm thick stainless steel plates. Experimental resultsrevealed that pre-heating by arc plasmas can improve the cutting volume per unit time higher than 40%by reducing the cutting load and increasing the cuttable depth when using an end mill without cuttingfluids. These advantages of a hybrid cutting process are expected to contribute to quick and safe segmentationsof metal structures with radioactively contaminated inner surfaces.
국내 단편애니메이션 산업 활성화를 위한 대안 연구 -배급을 통한 판매유통을 중심으로-

In the mid-1990s Korea's animation industry rose up again, as short animation films began to be created. Since then, more than 200 colleges and vocational education institutions made animation-related majors and hundreds of short animation films came out in a year. Many of them won prizes from international animation festivals and film festivals. The number of short animation films now make up most of the production of domestic animation films, but only a few of them are being commercialized. Through the strengthening and development of the IT industry, various video equipment, including mobile devices, is being manufactured and they are in need of more content. From this perspective, the creation of industrial forms for short film distribution and revenue structure is very urgent. In addition, the commercialization of short animation films can breathe new life into the domestic animation industry, which has a serious imbalance between investment and production. With the quantity and quality of domestic short animation films, the possibility of making them as commercial content can be very high. Aggressive distribution and the creation of various sales structures for the short animation film can stimulate the short animation film industry and, furthermore, build a new way for the domestic cultural content industry. 1990년대 중반, 국내에서 단편애니메이션들이 제작되어지기 시작하면서 우리나라의 애니메이션 산업은 다시 한 번 주목받기 시작하였다. 이후 200여 곳이 넘는 대학과 전문교육기관에 애니메이션 전공 관련 학과들이 만들어지면서 한 해에 제작되는 단편애니메이션들은 수 백편에 이를 정도로 그 규모가 성장하였으며 많은 작품들이 해외 애니메이션 페스티벌과 영화제에서 두각을 나타내고 있다. 지금은 국내 애니메이션 제작 편수의 대부분을 차지할 정도로 단편애니메이션의 제작이 활성화되어 있으나 이러한 콘텐츠가 산업적으로 활성화 되어있는 부분은 아직 미비하다. IT산업의 강세와 발전으로 모바일 기기를 비롯한 다양한 영상장비들이 보급되면서 이제는 이를 위한 각종 콘텐츠들이 제작되고 있으며, 보다 더 많은 콘텐츠들을 필요로 하고 있다. 이러한 측면에서 볼 때 국내의 단편애니메이션에 대한 배급과 수익구조 창출을 위한 산업형태의 구성은 매우 시급한 부분이다. 또한 단편애니메이션의 적극적인 산업 활성화는 장기적으로 투자와 제작의 불균형이 심각한 국내의 애니메이션 산업에 있어서도 새로운 활력을 불어넣을 수 있는 충분한 가능성이 있다. 국내에서 제작되는 단편애니메이션들의 양과 질적인 수준을 볼 때 분명 콘텐츠로서의 활용가능성은 매우 높다고 할 수 있다. 단편애니메이션 산업 활성화를 위한 적극적인 배급과 유통 및, 다양한 판매구조를 구성하는 대안을 통하여, 매년 제작되는 수백편의 단편애니메이션들이 국내 문화콘텐츠 산업의 새로운 활로를 구축해 주기를 기대해 본다.
벼 분얼기 및 유수형성기에 있어서 온도 및 일조가 양분흡수에 미치는 영향

This study was conducted to elucidate the effect of temperature and shading for the absorption of nutrient components under at tillering and panicle initiation stage of the rice. The P, K, Na and Mg content absorbed of the plant were lower in 15oC than those of 24oC and 18oC, except Ca at the tillering stage. The contents of Ca and K in rice plant were higher, but N, P, Na and Mg were lower in low temperature at tillering stage. but the contents of N, P, K, Na, Mg and Ca were lower at panicle initiation stage. At shading treatment, the contents of P, Na, Ca and Mg except N and K in rice plant were higher at panicle initiation stage than those at tillering stage.
