Activated charcoal is an inert substance and it is used in standard therapy in patients with acute intoxication. Charcoal has some side effects such as pulmonary aspiration, gastrointestinal complications, and electrolyte abnormalities. Although aspiration of charcoal is a rare complication, it can cause fatal sequelae. We report a 69-year old man who developed acute respiratory failure associated with charcoal aspiration after management of glyphosate poisoning. The patient was drowsy and suffered severe vomiting during transport to our hospital. On arrival, acute respiratory failure was observed due to charcoal aspiration, but the clinical state was improved with repeated bronchoscopy with a bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL). We presumed that the aspirated charcoal was an important factor in evoking a lung injury. Early bronchoscopy with a BAL might be an effective method for eliminating charcoal from the lung, especially in the case of a large amount of aspiration, and be helpful in decreasing respiratory failure due to charcoal aspiration.

The process selecting relevant demolition method doesn't escape from traditional usage and conventional experiment comparing with the increase of demolition due to deterioration of buildings and reconstruction. Even though some researches and studies about selecting demolition method have been processed, there are some problems such as lack of total examination and interference of subjective valuation. This study aims to develop the system composed of total and objective analysis in correspondence with building condition, site condition and environmental condition when selecting demolition method. In detail, this study constructed the system, combining various factors and contents to be considered in part of each suitability. Furthermore, this study composed the system based on specialist's evaluation of each work's suitability for selecting demolition method. Finally this study gave the weight which indicates the suitability of considering factors to this system for the purpose of developing optimum system to select suitable demolition method after computing priority number which were passed over in previous studies.

본 논문은 도시의 무분별한 발전으로 인해 도시의 공공영역에 사적영역이 침범하고 사적시설들로부터 공공역역이 도시로부터 등을 돌리는 상황이 발생함에 따라 공공영역으로의 연결이 약화되고 있다. 이에 대응하여 공공시설을 이용하여 도시로부터 공공영역에 자연스럽게 이동하고 모든 사람이 경계가 없이 공공시설을 즐길 수 있는 지역문화전시시설 계획에 대해 다양한 의견을 수렴하여 반영하고자 한다.

LOS analysis is used for optimal deployment of mid-range guided weapon system or system engagement effectiveness simulation. Comparing to real-world, LOS analysis includes error sources such as coarse terrain data resolution, refraction of radio waves, and several ideal assumptions. In this research, exact LOS algorithm under assumption of constant earth curvature and error analysis of that is investigated. It proved that LOS algorithm under assumption of constant earth curvature has negligible error in mid-range guidance weapon system's scope.
고온 불활성 기체 분위기에서 아산화질소 열분해 및 반응속도에 관한 연구

N<sub>2</sub>O is hazardous atmosphere pollution matter which can damage the ozone layer and cause green house effect. There are many other nitrogen oxide emission control but N<sub>2</sub>O has no its particular method. Preventing further environmental pollution and global warming, it is essential to control N<sub>2</sub>O emission from industrial machines. In this study, the thermal decomposition experiment of N<sub>2</sub>O gas mixture is conducted by using cylindrical reactor to figure out N<sub>2</sub>O reduction and NO formation. And CHEMKIN calculation is conducted to figure out reaction rate and mechanism. Residence time of the N<sub>2</sub>O gas in the reactor is set as experimental variable to imitate real SNCR system. As a result, most of the nitrogen components are converted into N2. Reaction rate of the N<sub>2</sub>O gas decreases with N<sub>2</sub>O emitted concentration. At 800℃ and 900℃, N<sub>2</sub>O reduction variance and NO concentration are increased with residence time and temperature. However, at 1000℃, N<sub>2</sub>O reduction variance and NO concentration are deceased in 40s due to forward reaction rate diminished and reverse reaction rate appeared.
Structural analysis for spherical pressure hull of deep manned submersible

This paper presents the results of the structural analysis and the optimization of a 6,500m manned submersible. Nonlinear structural analysis for imperfect spheres with the maximum allowable out-of-roundness was performed to calculate the thickness of the pressure hull. Dimensions of viewports was determined according to ASME PVHO standard. The design optimization of the spherical hull with openings was divided into two steps - the optimization of the detailed shape of the viewport reinforcements and the optimization of the viewport location in the spherical pressure hull.
