        The purpose of this research is to investigate, with reference to majoring-in-dance undergraduates' participating in a dance, the influence upon self-concept. The subjects were 283 undergraduates who are majoring at dance in senior colleges of Seoul and Gyeonggi province as of 2001. As for a self-concept questionnaire, on the basis of the hypothetical model of Shavelson, Hubner and Stanton(1976) the measuring and testing paper used by Kang Sin-wook(1992), Kang Jin-hong(1998) and Jin Seong-yong(1999) was finally used by being modified and supplemented to suit the purpose of this research. The factor-analysis results show 54.5% and its reliability coefficient was .8957∼.8423. For data processing, Correlation Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis were carried out, and the results are as follows. First, majoring-in-dance undergraduates' degree of participating in a dance did not have an influence on a social self. Second, their degree of participating in a dance had an influence upon a cognitive self. In more detail, the variable of participation terms had a statistically significant influence at p<.001 level, but participation frequency and participation intensity did not exert a significant influence. Third, their degree of participating in a dance had an influence upon a physical self partly. Concretely, the variable of terms of participating in a dance had a statistically significant influence at p<.01 level. However, participation frequency and participation intensity did not have a significant influence.

        간경변증 환자의 정신과적 특성 및 아임상적 간성뇌병증 진단을 위한 연구 : 인지기능 및 유발전위를 중심으로 Cognitive Functions and Evoked Potentials

        연구목적 : 본 연구는 명백한 간성뇌병증이 없는 간경변증 환자에서 불안, 우울기분 및 삶의 질 등 정신과적 특징과 신경심리학적인 결손의 양상을 밝히기 위해서 고안되었다. 그리고 아임상적 간성뇌병증의 평가에서 체성감각 유발전위 검사의 역할을 연구하고자 하였다. 방 법 : 간경변증으로 진단된 41명의 환자군과 정상 대조군 31명을 대상으로 하였다. 이들에서 우울기분 및 불안을 평가하기 위해 Beck Depression Inventory와 State & Trait Anxiety Inventory를 시행하였고 삶의 질의 평가를 위해 Health-related Quality of Life Questionnaire를 시행하였다. 또한 어휘검사, 숫자외우기 검사, 토막짜기 검사, 숫자기호 바꿔쓰기 검사 및 선로잇기 검사 A와 B 등 간단하지만 포괄적인 인지기능검사를 시행하였다. 또한 41명의 환자군 중에서 인지기능검사 결과에 의거하여 분류된 13명의 아임상적 간성뇌병증군(SHE군)과 11명의 아임상적 간성뇌병증이 아닌 간경변증 환자군(non-SHE군) 그리고 8명의 정상 대조군에서 체성감각 유발전위를 측정하였다. 결 과 : 간경변증 환자는 정상인에 비해서 우울기분과 특성불안이 유의하게 증가하였다. 또한 건강과 관련된 일상생활의 삶의 질의 수준이 정상인보다 저하되었고, 특히 주의력과 각성이 요구되는 행동에서 수행이 저하되었다. 또한, 간경변증 환자는 숫자기호 바꿔쓰기 검사와 선로잇기 검사에서 정상 대조군보다 저하된 수행을 나타내었다. 또한 이러한 인지기능검사를 통해서 진단한 아임상적 간성뇌병증군에서 6개월 추적조사를 하였을 때, 명백한 간성뇌병증의 빈도가 아임상적 간성뇌병증이 아닌 군보다 유의하게 높았다. 체성감각 유발전위 소견은 N65 잠복기와 N20-N65 IPL의 경우 SHE군, non-SHE군 및 정상 대조군 사이의 유의한 차이가 있었다. 특히 N65는 SHE군만이 정상 대조군과 유의한 차이가 있었고 N95는 숫자기호 바꿔쓰기 검사 및 선로잇기 검사 A와 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 결 론 : 간경변증 환자에게 우울 및 불안 등 정서적인 어려움에 대한 실제적인 관리 및 삶의 질을 높일 수 있는 치료적 접근이 고려되어야 하겠다. 또한 숫자기호 바꿔쓰기 검사와 선로잇기 검사가 아임상적 간성뇌병증의 조기 진단에 민감하고 유용한 도구로 생각되어 간경변증 환자에서 정례적으로 적용시키는 것이 간경변증 환자의 관리에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 마지막으로, 본 연구에서의 체성감각 유발전위 소견은 간경변증 환자에서 아임상적 간성뇌병증 환자의 진단 및 연구에 중요한 의미를 지닌다고 생각된다. Objectives : This study was designed to elucidate the psychiatric characteristics and nature of the neuropsychological deficits associated with subclinical hepatic encephalopathy(SHE) in patients with non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis. And also the authors prospectively studied the role of somatosensory evoked potentials(SEP) in the assessment of SHE. Methods : Beck Depression Inventory(BDI) for measuring depression, State Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI) for measuring anxiety, and Health-related Quality of Questionnaire(HQLQ) for measuring quality of life were administered the 41 non-encephalopathic liver cirrhosis patients(NELC) group and 31 carefully matched normal controls. And a prospective study to compare the performance of NELC group and normal controls on a short but comprehensive cognitive tests was conducted. After several cognitive, NELC group was divided into two groups, SHE group and non-SHE group by results of digit symbol substitution test(DSST) and/or trail making test(TMT) A and B. And then median nerve evoked cortical responses in 13 SHE patients group, 11 non-SHE patients group, and 8 normal controls were recorded for latencies of N13, P16, N20, P25, N30, P45, N65, and P95. And also responses for N13-N20 interpeak latency(IPL) and N20-N65 IPL were recorded. Results : There were significant differences between the NELC group and normal controls on BDI, trait anxiety scales in STAI, and almost all HQLQ except for the cognitive function, social interaction and life satisfaction(p<0.05). The NELC group exhibited poor performance in DSST, TMT A and TMT B compared with normal controls(p<0.05). As 17 NELC patients had abnormal cognitive test results, 41.5% of cirrhotic patients had SHE. In SEP assessment, NELC group with SHE and without SHE had higher N20-N65 IPL and only NELC group with SHE had higher N65 latency compared with normal controls(p<0.05). Conclusion : This study suggests that the patients with liver cirrhosis exhibit relatively selective deficits in complex attentional and fine motor skills, with preservation of general intellectual ability, memory, language and visuospatial perception. DSST, TMT A and TMT B seem to be useful screening tests for the detection of SHE. And also it is expected that late components and N20-N65 IPLs of SEP are helpful in the assessment of SHE.

        척골 지단 신경의 전기생리학적 연구

        The ulnar nerve extends down the arm, across the elbow, and into the hand. It provides sensation to the little and ring fingers and activates many of the small muscles in the hand. The determination of peripheral nerve conduction velocity is an important part of ulnar nerve evaluation. The electrodiagnostic value as neurophysiologic investigative procedure has been known for many years but normal value of digital nerve was not reported in korea. The purpose of this investigation was to measure the digital nerve conduction velocity of ulnar nerve for obtain clinically useful reference value and compare difference in each fingers and then compare with the other countries. 71 normal Korean volunteers (age, 19-65 years; 142 hands) examined who has no history of peripheral neuropathy, diabetic mellitus, chronic renal failure, endocrinedisorders, anti-cancer medicine, anti-tubercle medicine, alcoholism, trauma, radiculopathy. Nicolet Viking Ⅱ(EMG machine) was use for detected conduction velocity and amplitude of digital nerve in ulnar nerve. Data analysis was performed using SPSS. Descriptive analysis was used for obtain mean and standard deviation and independent t-test was used to compare with ring and little finger. Conduction velocity of the right ring finger was 57.44m/sec and little finger was 55.32msec. The left ring finger was 55.55msec and little finger was 54.11msec. Amplitude of the right ring finger was 30.28µV and little finger was 48.36µV. The left ring finger was 30.67µV and little finger was 57.76µV. There were significantly difference between ring and little in amplitude (p<.05) but there were no statistically difference between conduction velocity of ring and little finger (p>.05). The amplitude of little finger are greater than ring finger. The present results revealed that electodiagnosis can easily perform in little finger for digital nerve of ulnar nerve study.

        표면근전도와 적외선체열촬영을 이용한 요통의 평가

        목적 : 요통환자에서 요통의 유무와 강도를 평가하고자 표면근전도를 이용하여 근육 활동성의 차이를 검증하였고 적외선체열촬영을 이용하여 제표면 온도의 변화를 측정하였다. 방법 : 요통환자군 16명과 대조군 16명에 대하여 요부에 부착한 표면전극에서 얻은 근전도 신호와 적외선체열촬영 결과를 비교하였다. 교란요인의 영향을 배제하기 위하여 연령과 성별 그리고 비만도에 따라 정상 대조군과 요통환자군을 짝짓기하여 각각 16명씩 선정하였다. 결과 : 정적표면근전도 실시 결과 우측의 경우 중앙값이 요통환자군에서 198.1 ㎶, 정상대조군에서는 161.3 ㎶로 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었고(p<0.01), 좌측은 요통환자군에서 194.2 ㎶, 정상대조군에서 180.5 ㎶로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 동적표면근전도 실시 결과 재신전시와 굴곡시 근전위의 비가 우측의 경우 요통환자군에서 중앙값이 1.12였고 정상 대조군은 1.39로서 두 군간에 유의한 차이가 있었고(p=0.027), 좌측의 경우도 요통환자군에서는 1.08이었고 정상 대조군에서는 1.21로 유의한 차이가 있었다(p=0.036). 적외선체열촬영결과 ΔT가 0.5 ℃ 이상의 차이가 있을 때 이상이 있는 것으로 정하면, 요통환자군에서는 16명 모두 이상자로 판정되었고, 정상 대조군에서는 16명중 3명이 이상자로 판정되어 민감도는 100 %, 특이도는 81.3 % 였다. 표면근전도를 이용한 요통의 진단은 민감도가 78.6 %이고 특이도가 72.2 %였으며, 적외선체열촬영은 민감도가 100 %였고 특이도가 87.5 %였다. 결론 : 이러한 결과로 볼 때 표면근전도 검사법과 적외선체열촬영은 요통을 간접적으로 평가하는데 도움이 되는 검사법이며, 적외선체열촬영이 표면근전도검사법에 비하여 보다 정확한 검사법으로 판단된다. Objectives : We studied the efficacy of surface electromyography(SEMG) and digital infrared theimographic imaging (DITI) in the assessment of low back pain both(LBP) Methods : We compared electromygraphic signals from electrodes placed in the lumbar area and the digital theimographic images in 16 LBPpatients and 16 control subjects. The LBP patients and the control subjects were matched for age, gender, and body mass index(BMI) to adjust for any confounding effects Results : In the static analyses of SEMG, median value was 198.1 ㎶ for the controls on the right side, and they were 194.2 ㎶ and 180.5㎶ on left side respectively. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups on the right side(p<0.01), but not on the left side. In the dynamic analyses of the SEMG, the median values of the extension per flexion ratio of right side were 1.12 for LBP patients and 1.39 for controls. and those on the left side were 1.08 and 1.21 respectively. There were statistically significant differences in both sodes(p<0.05). The sensitivity and specificity were 100% and 81.3% in DITI, 78.6% and 72.2% in SEMG. Conclusions : These results indicate that SEMG and DITI are useful methods for indirect assessments of LBP, and that DITI is more sensitive and specific than SEMG.

        정중운동신경과 척골운동신경의 전기생리학적 연구

        The determination of peripheral nerve conduction velocity is and important part to electrodiagnosis. Its value as neurophysiologic investigative procedure has been known for many years but normal value of median and ulnar motor nerve was poorly reported in Korea. To evaluate of median and ulnar motor nerve terminal latency, amplitude of CMAP(compound muscle action potential), conduction velocity and F-wave latency for obtain clinically useful reference value. 71 normal volunteers(age,19-65 years;142 hands) examined who has no history of peripheral neuropathy, diabetic mellitus, chronic renal failure, endocrine disorders, anti-cancer medicine, anti-tubercle medicine, alcoholism, trauma, radiculopathy. Nicolet Viking Ⅱ was use for detected terminal latency, amplitude of CMAP, conduction velocity and F-wave latency of median and ulnar motor nerve. Data analysis was performed using SPSS. Descriptive analysis was used for obtain mean and standard deviation, independent t-test was used to compare between Rt and Lt side also compare between different in genders. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Median motor nerve terminal latency was right 3.00ms, left 2.99ms and there was no significantly difference between right and left side and genders. 2. Median motor nerve amplitude of CMAP was right 17.26mV, left 17.50mV and there was no significantly differences between right and left side and genders. 3. Median motor nerve conduction velocity was right 57.89m/sec, left 58.03m/sec and there was no significantly difference between right and left side and genders. 4. Median motor nerve F-wave latency was right 25.74ms, left 25.59ms and there was significantly differences between genders. 5. Ulnar motor nerve terminal latency was right 2.38ms, left 2.45ms and there was significantly differences between right and left side. 6. Ulnar motor nerve amplitude of CMAP was right 15.99mV, left 16.02mV and there was no significantly differences between right and left side and genders. 7. Ulnar motor nerve conduction velocity was right 60.35m/sec, left 59.73/sec and there was no significantly differences between right and left side and genders. 8. Ulnar motor nerve F-wave latency was right 25.53ms, left 25.57ms and there was significantly differences between genders.

        환원법에 의한 직접 메탄올 연료전지(DMFC)용 Pt-Sn/Carbon 전극제조

        금속물질의 분산도를 높여주기 위해 열처리와 산처리를 수행한 carbon black에 다양한 비율의 Pt와 Sn을 담지 시킨 촉매를 환원법을 이용하여 합성하였다. Pt/Sn의 비율은 전구체 용액 내에서 상대적인 농도를 변화시켜 조절하였으며, Pt/Sn 비율에 따른 반응 특성을 조사하였다. XRD (X-ray Diffraction) 분석을 통해 합성된 촉매의 결정도를 확인하였고, XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy) 분석으로 Pt와 Sn의 산화가를 확인하였다. 합성된 촉매의 조성과 구조를 분석하기 위해 SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy)-EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy) 분석과 TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) 분석을 수행하였다. 산소 환원 반응 특성은 0.5 M H2SO4 수용액에서 RDE (Rotating Disk Electrode)를 이용하여 조사하였으며, 산소환원 촉매활성은 Pt/Sn의 비율에 크게 의존함을 확인하였다. 합성한 전극의 메탄올 산화반응은 전기화학분석장치(Potentiostat; Princeton applied research, VSP)를 이용하여 0.5 M CH3OH와 0.5 M H2SO4의 혼합수용액에서 수행하였다. 메탄올 산화에 대한 전기화학적 촉매활성과 안정성을 평가한 결과 적절한 양의 Sn을 첨가한 촉매가 높은 촉매활성과 안정성을 나타냄을 확인하였다. Pt-Sn with various ratios was supported on carbon black after pretreatment in an acidic solution by a reduction method. The Pt/Sn ratio was controlled by varying the concentration of each component in the solution, and the influence of the composition on the electrocatalytic activities was investigated. The crystallinity of the synthesized materials was investigated by XRD (X-ray Diffraction), and the oxidation states of both the platinum and tin were determined by XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy). SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy)-EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy) was utilized to examine the morphology and composition of the synthesized electrode, and the particle size of the Pt-Sn was analyzed by TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy). The electrocatalytic activity for oxygen reduction was evaluated in a 0.5 M H2SO4 solution using a rotating disk electrode system. The activity and stability were found to be strongly dependent on the electrode composition (Pt/Sn ratio). The catalytic activity and stability for methanol oxidation were also measured using cyclic voltammetry (CV) in a mixture of 0.5 M H2SO4 and 0.5 M CH3OH aqueous solution. The addition of proper amount of Sn was found to significantly improve both catalytic activity and stability for methanol oxidation.

        영아 연축을 동반한 멘케스병 1례

        저자들은 기면과 수유량 감소를 주소로 입원한 4개월 남자 환아에서 ATP7A 유전자 돌연변이로 확진된, 영아 연축을 동반한 멘케스병 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Menkes disease, so called kinky-hair syndrome, is a rare, genetic and progressive neurodegenerative disorder. It is caused by a mutation in the ATP7A gene, which codes for the copper transporting ATPase in the cell organelles. The dysfunction of many copper-dependent enzymes results in low concentration of copper in some tissues and accumulation of copper in others. We report a boy presented with kinky hairs, developmental delay, hypotonia and connective tissue abnormalities at the age of 4 months. Despite the treatment with various antiepileptic drugs, atonic seizures still persisted. At the age of 7 months, his atonic seizures was changed into extensor spasms with modified hypsarrhythmia for some years. The seizure were controlled by topiramate and vigabatrin. At the age of 22 months, serum copper and ceruloplasmin rechecked as 17 ug/dL(80-150 ug/dL) and 7.3 mg/dL(20-46 mg/dL) respectively. The gene study showed ATP7A mutation and the patient was diagnosed as Menkes disease so that copper-histidine was daily injected. We experienced a case of a 4-month-old boy with Menkes disease and infantile spasm, confirmed by ATP7A mutation.
