This paper presents the analysis of the analysis of thrust characteristics of linear induction motors(LIMs) according to secondary reaction plate. LIMs are well known as high speed transport systems, which can obtain thrust directly without gears and links, or auxiliary mechanisms. A simple structure, easy maintenance, and less environmental pollution are advantages of LIMs. In transport systems using LIMs, the secondary reaction plate is an important design factor, because it has considerable impact on the cost of the railway as well as the performance of the LIMs. This paper deals analyzed the characteristics of linear induction motor used for moving the vehicle of container scanner. Thrust, efficiency and load characteristic were interpreted with FEM regarding two models whose material of secondary reaction plate was copper and aluminum. It suggested the interpretation of thrust, efficiency and power factor characteristic along slip and compared the operation ability of linear induction motor through characteristics analysis along the load.

<P>Previous studies have reported associations between aggression and Internet addiction disorder (IAD), which has also been linked with anxiety, depression, and impulsiveness. However, the causal relationship between aggression and IAD has thus far not been clearly demonstrated. This study was designed to (a) examine the association between aggression and IAD and (b) investigate the mediating effects of anxiety, depression, and impulsivity in cases in which IAD predicts aggression or aggression predicts IAD. A total of 714 middle school students in Seoul, South Korea, were asked to provide demographic information and complete the Young's Internet Addiction Test (Y-IAT), the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire, the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale-11, the State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory-2, the Beck Anxiety Inventory, the Beck Depression Inventory, and the Conners-Wells Adolescent Self-Report Scale. Three groups were identified based on the Y-IAT: the usual user group (n=487, 68.2%), the high-risk group (n=191, 26.8%), and the Internet addiction group (n=13, 1.8%). The data revealed a linear association between aggression and IAD such that one variable could be predicted by the other. According to the path analysis, the clinical scales (BAI, BDI, and CASS) had partial or full mediating effects on the ability of aggression to predict IAD, but the clinical scales had no mediating effect on the ability of IAD to predict aggression. The current findings suggest that adolescents with IAD seem to have more aggressive dispositions than do normal adolescents. If more aggressive individuals are clinically prone to Internet addiction, early psychiatric intervention may contribute to the prevention of IAD.</P>
한국인 인슐린 비의존형 당뇨병 및 이차성 당뇨병 환자에서 글루코키나제 유전자 변이

Objectives: Mutations in the glucokinase (GCK) gene are considered a possible cause of maturity-onset diabetes of the young. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the contribution of this gene to the development of non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and post-renal transplantation diabetes mellitus (PTDM). Method: Identification of GCK mutation was attempted on 39 NIDDM patients, 2 GDM patients and 58 selected renal allograft recipients with PTDM and 45 normal controls. The exons in the GCK gene were examined by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), followed by analysis of single-stranded DNA conformational polymorphism (SSCP). The abnormal bands were also confirmed by DNA sequencing analysis. The exons of affected family members were also investigated for mutations of the GCK gene. Results: Two of the 58 PTDM patients (3.4%) were found to have CKK mutations. One had the mutation on exon 5 and the other on intron 7. One control subject had the mutation on intmn 9. The mutation of exon 5 was identified as a substitution of CCT (proline) for CTT (leucine) at codon 164, which has not ever reported before. The family members of the PFDM patient with mutation of exon 5 were analyzed by PCR followed by SSCP, and two of them revealed the same mutation. The abnormal band on the SSCP analysis of exon 7 was identified as the insertion of base C/T at the 39th nucleotide in intron 7. Two family members of this patients also had same band on SSCP. The one mutation of 45 normal controls was CT located at the 8th nucleotide in intron 9, which was a common polymorphism. Conclusion: We found GCK mutations in subjects with PTDM and we speculate that these mutations may be one of the contributing cause of PTDM.

A survey was performed to 250 male young men who were living alone and shared living with friends in Chungnam province. Their average age was 22.6 years old, height was 171.8 cm, weight was 65.6 kg and BMI was 22.2 Comparing the prevalence of drinking, smoking and exercise, there were significantly different between living alone subjects and shared-living ones. The main value toward eating/meals was for hungry soultion. And we found many significant differences by living with or without companion. When young men living without companions, they shouved to be more in regular mealtimes, no-skipped meals, breakfast eating, adequate food amounts, eating-outs, etc. and to be less in pleasant mealtimes, various foods, snacking and especially late snacks. The good food intake pattern were highly scored in the alone-living group than the shared-living group, whereas the bad food intake pattern were also highly scoued in the alone-living group than the other. The latter might be due to the more food exposures because of companions. These findings could conclude that dietary behaviors of the young living alone were evaluated as good enough.

JENB., Vol. 18, No. 2, pp.161-168, 2014 [Purpose]αB-crystallin is a small heat shock protein that acts as a molecular chaperone under various stress conditions. Microtubules, whichconsist of tubulin, are related to maintain the intracellular organelles and cellular morphology. These two proteins have been shownto be related to the properties of different types of myofibers based on their contractile properties. The response of these proteinsduring muscular atrophy, which induces a myofibril component change, is not clearly understood. [Methods] We performed 15days of hindlimb unloading on rats to investigate the transitions of these proteins by analyzing their absolute quantities. Proteincontents were analyzed in the soleus, plantaris, and gastrocnemius muscles of the unloading and control groups (N = 6). [Results]All three muscles were significantly atrophied by hindlimb unloading (P < 0.01): soleus (47.5%), plantaris (16.3%), and gastrocnemius(21.3%) compared to each control group. αB-crystallin was significantly reduced in all three examined unloaded hindlimb musclescompared to controls (P < 0.01) during the transition of the myosin heavy chain to fast twitch muscles. α-Tubulin responded onlyin the unloaded soleus muscle. Muscle atrophy induced the reduction of αB-crystallin and α-tubulin expressions in plantar flexormuscles with a shift to the fast muscle fiber compared to the control. [Conclusion] The novel finding of this study is that bothproteins, αB-crystallin and α-tubulin, were downregulated in slow muscles (P < 0.01); However, α-tubulin was not significantly reduced compared to the control in fast muscles (P < 0.01). 진행성 골화성 섬유 이형성증은 2 백만명 중에 1명 발생하는 매우 드문 유전질환이다. 저자들은 2차례의 외상후 심해진 진행성 섬유 이형성증환자에서 최근 다시 발생된 외상후 생긴 병변부위에 biphosphonate와 steroid 투여로 최근수상부위의 근육 골화와 경화를 현저한 호전을 보였으나, 기존의 골화가 이미 진행된 병변에서는 잘 반응하지 않음을 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva(FOP) is an extremely rare hereditary disorder characterised by progressive heterotopic ossification of the soft tissue. The resulting progressive immobilization of the limbs, jaw and chest wall generally leads to severe disability. We present an 20-rear-old man with advanced FOP. He had two operative interventions by prior traffic accident and recent biopsy. It resulted abnormal ossification. Treatment for this disorder is avoidance of exacerbating factors and medical strategies is biphosphonate and steroid. We observed the course of ossification and muscle atrophy during biphosphonate and steroid therapy in advanced FOP.
골재생산과 관련한 터널작업에서 효율적인 심빼기 발파공법

실린더 컷 심빼기 공법은 일반적으로 터널단면에 관계없이 널리 쓰이는 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 종래의 실린더 컷 공법을 개선한 새로운 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법의 특징은 발파당 굴진장을 증대시킬수 있는데 이를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 발파당 굴진장은 평균 3.8m 이상으로 종래의 심빼기 바법 경우 천공장의 90~95% 인데 비하여 제안한 방법은 천공장의 99.5%까지 가능하다. 또한 비장약량은 1.363에서 1.297 kg/㎥로 약 5%가, 비천공장은 2.393에서 2.130 kg/㎥로 약 8%가 감소되었다. 이외에 발파진동, 비산거리, 파쇄입도면에서도 종래 방법보다 양호함을 확인하였다. The cylindrical cut is most frequently used in tunnelling regardless of their dimensions. In this study the new parallel cut is proposed to raise advance per round, which is considered to be an elevation of the traditional cylinder cuts. The main results of this study are as follows; The average advances per rounds in new cuts can reach 99.5% of drilling length. That of traditional cylinder cuts are known approximately 90~95%; Specific charge weight is approximately reduced 5%(1.363→1.297 kg/㎥); Specific drilling rate is also reduced 8% compared to that of cylinder cut(2.393→2.130 kg/㎥); Vibrations, fly rock, and fragmentation produced by the new blast are to be proved superior to those of the traditional cylinder cuts.
내산화성 초미립 Fe-Co분말 제조와 자기적 특성에 관한 연구

Ultra fine Fe-Co particle with oxidation resistance was produced by reducing the silica coated Co-ferrite particle with H_2 at 500℃. When the silica coated Co-ferrite particle was reduced in H_2 at 500℃ for 6 hrs, the silica coated Fe-Co particle(SiO_2/Fe-Co=3.6wt%) showed following properties, e.g, high oxidation resistance below 150℃ , magnetization value of 154.4 emu/g and the size range between 30 and 290Å(mean particle size of 94Å)
