      • Cytogenetic Characteristics of Chinese Hamster Ovarian Cell CHO-K1

        The Chinese Hamster Ovarian cells CHO-K1 are one of the most extensively used cells for the evaluation of gene expression and toxicology. However, these cells are frequently used for biomedical research without consideration of their cytogenetic characteristics. Therefore, we carried out to investigate the karyologic profiles, the frequency and type of chromosome aberration, and the distribution of telomeric DNA on chromosomes of the CHO-K1 cells. The GTG banding and fluorescence in situ hybridization on CHO-K1 cells were performed to characterize the karyotype and the distribution of telomeric DNA The present study revealed that the chromosome modal number of CHO-K1 cells was 2n=20; eight chromosomes appeared to be identical with those of the normal Chinese hamster, whereas the remaining 12 chromosomes were shown to be translocated, deleted, inversed, or rearranged from Chinese hamster chromosomes. The telomeric DNA on CHO-K1 chromosomes was intensively distributed at the centromeres rather than the ends of chromosomes. In addition, three chromosomes had interstitial telomeres and one marker chromosome entirely consisted of telomeric DNAs. The frequency and type of chromosome aberrations in CHO-K1 cells were examined. Of the 822 metaphase spreads, 68 (8.3%) cells resulted in chromosome aberrations of which the chromosome breakage was the most frequently occurred.

        Gypsum materials have strong mechanical strengths and great resistance to fire. Also these one are very cheap because of the gypsum is a byproduct from chemical plants. But, these materials have some demerits ; weak water-resistance, heavy specific gravity and low physical properties in bending and tensile strengths. While, leather shaving dust(LSD) is very much produced from leather manufacturing process. The LSD is composed of collagen fibers which is a kind of protein. This one has strong tear and tensile strengths because of the collagen fibers are cross linked during the tanning process of leather. Also the dust has the properties of the high hygroscopic and the superior thermal insulation, but is not degraded any more in neutral condition such as gypsum slurry. In this paper, we have reinforced the physical properties of gypsum with LSD as a filler. From this research, it is decided that the optimum dosage of LSD to gypsum is below 5%(w/w) of the gypsum, and the specific gravity of LSD-gypsum mixture is reduced to 30% relative to gypsum alone.

      • Poly-(acrylic acid-co-methylacrylate)합성조건에 따른 시멘트계 재료의 물성

        The water soluble polymers based on polycarboxlates are come into the spot-light in the detergent fields of CaCO_3, Al(OH)_3 and leather industries. In this research, we synthesized molecular weights(Mn) by changing the concentrations of monomer(acrylic acid-methylacrylate mixture), chain transfer agent(butanethiol) and initiator(ammoniumpersulfate). We investigated the influences on the fluidities(the flow & the mini slump) and the setting times of cement material admixtured with the copolymers by the statistical method. The optimum synthesis formulation of the poly-(AA-co-MA) for cement materials is at the concentrations of monomer 50 M%, chain transfer agent 6.0 M% and initiator 2.0 M%. The number-average molecular weight of that was decided on 7,600 by the viscosity method.

        자전거 교육활동이 초등학생의 건강․여가활동과 체육수업 만족도에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 체육수업 중 자전거 교육활동이 초등학생의 건강․여가활동과 체육수업 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 G광역시 초등학생4, 5, 6학년 319명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다.이를 위해 건강․여가활동과 체육수업 만족도 측정은 이호일(2009), 박세준(2014)의 질문지를 신뢰․타당도를 검증한 후 재구성하여 사용하였다. 설문조사를 통해수집된 자료는 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 일원변량분석 그리고 중다회귀분석을실시하였다. 그 결과첫째, 자전거교육활동 정도에 따라 초등학생의 여가활동 요인 중 흥미, 친밀감, 건강체력, 안전의식,사회성 요인에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자전거 교육활동 정도에 따라 초등학생의 체육수업 만족도면에서는 체육수업환경과 학생 개인의 운동능력 요인에 영향을 미치는 것으로나타났다. 셋째, 자전거 교육 활동이 참여정도 따라 초등학생들의 건강․여가생활과 체육수업만족도에 영향을 주는것으로나타났다. 이러한 점을 종합해 볼때 자전거 교육활동이 초등학생의교통안전 인식과 건강한 여가 생활 문화정착을 위해서라도 학교체육수업에서 적극적으로 다루어져야 할 필요가 있다. This study conducted a survey of 300 elementary school students in Gwanju to analyze the effects of an educational biking activity for physical education classes. It examined the effects of the activity on the students' health, leisure activities, and satisfaction levels. To measure these three concepts, the study used the questionnaire form of Lee Ho-Il (2009) and Park Se-Jun (2014) after verifying its reliability and validity. The data collected through the questionnaire underwent frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, one-way analysis of variance, and multiple regression analysis. The study had the following findings. First, depending on its level, the biking activity had an effect on the students' interest, familarity, health, safety awareness, and sociability - all elements of the leisure activities of elementary school students. Second, in terms of satisfaction with their physical education classes, depending on the level, the biking activity had an effect on the environment of the physical education class and students' mobility abilities. Third, depending on the participation level, the biking activity had an effect on the students' health, leisure activities, and satisfaction with physical education classes. In summary, the study indicates that a biking activity needs to be actively encouraged for elementary physical education classes with a view to enhancing the students' good health and knowledge of traffic safety, as well as a sound leisure culture.

      • 체력·운동기능검사와 문항반응이론

        고전검사이론과 문항반응이론은 근본적으로 각각 고유한 장점과 검사이론으로서의 단점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 그 동안 문항반응이론이 고전검사가 가지고 있는 이론적 한계를 보완할 수 있는 장점이 있음에도 불구하고 그 동안 체육 측정분야에서 적절하게 활용되지 못하였다. 최근 보다 다양한 검사 모델에 적용이 가능한 개인용 컴퓨터 프로그램의 개발과 더불어 문항반응이론의 적용이 활발해 질 전망이다. 그 동안 체육 측정분야의 검사의 양호도 분석은 주로 고전검사 이론에 바탕을 둔 사례가 주류를 이루고 있다. 고전검사이론도 검사의 신뢰도 타당도를 규명할 수 있는 방법으로 적용이 가능하지만 보다 진보된 검사 이론으로서 문항반응이론에 대한 이해와 적용에 대한 노력을 기울일 필요가 있다. 이 연구에서 예시된 IRT를 이용하여 분석된 두 가지 체력검사의 난이도 결과에서도 보다 상세한 검사 정보가 제공되고 있음이 확인되고 있다. 그러나 운동기능검사와 관련된 IRT 적용 문제는 운동기술이 가지는 특수성 즉 개방기술종목에서 기술의 상대적 난이도가 시합 상황에 따라서 달라질 수 있는 문제 등에 의해서 특정 기술의 난이도를 평가하기 어려운 점을 간과할 수 없다. 그러나 최근 IRT연구는 이와 같은 여러 검사 상황의 특성을 고려한 분석 기법의 개발 등이 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 만큼 앞으로 운동기술 평가에서 IRT적용 빈도가 증가될 전망이다. The physical education literature recently has seen the appearance of several papers that described the proposed or actual use of item response theory (IRT) models in the measurement of psychomoter behavior. These IRT measurement models were originally developed for use with the assessment of behavior in either the cognitive or the affective domains. IRT makes the assumption that a single trait, ability, or skill underlies each examinee's performance on each item on test. The real advantage of IRT in terms of measuring an examinee's ability from responses to test items is that the ability construct is not limited or bound to a particular test, but can be measured by any collection of test items, considered as separate units, and assumed to be measuring the same unidimensional trait or ability.

      • 진행암 환자에서 Cisplatin 병용화학요법 시 Ondansetron의 오심 구토 조절 효과

        Ondansetron is a novel agent that selectively binds to the 5-hydroxytryptamine_3 receptor, and has been reported to have a prominent effect in the prevention of anti-neoplastic agent induced nausea and vomiting. Twenty solid tumor patients who were scheduled to receive cisplatin containing combination chemotherapy participated in a prospectively open-labeled study to evaluate the antiernetic efficacy and safety of ondansetron. The male to female ratio was 11 : 9 and median age was 49(16-70). The sites of primary neoplasms and number of patients were as following : head and neck 4, metastatic carcinoma of unknown primary site 3, stomach 3, osteosarcoma 2, ovary 2, esophagus 1, melanoma 1, penile 1, bladder 1, cervix 1, and extragonadal germ cell 1. Ondansetron was given as an 8mg loading dose IV before chemotherapy followed by 8mg IV every 8 hours until 24 hours after chemotherapy completion. Complete or major control(0 to 2 emetic episodes) of emesis was achieved in 17 of 20 patients(85%;complete 50%, major 35%) receiving ondansetron during the first 24hrs of chemotherapy. During the period of day 2 through clay 5 of chemotherapy, 14 of 20(75%) patients had complete or major control of emesis(complete 35%, major 35%). No severe side reactions were recorded in ondansetron treated patients, while mild to moderate headache was noted in 20% of patients. These results show that ondansetron is effective in the control of cisplatin induced nausea and emesis, and can be administered safely with minimal side effects.

        TPN 처방시스템을 이용한 약국업무 개선

        As a part of a plan to improve the multifunctional hospital information system, Asan Medical Center has invented the COES (Clinician's Order Entry System) for the physicians which involves computerized TPN prescription. As an initial step, an outline of the system has been formulated after collection relevant materials from various sources including foreign materials. This project simplifies and standardizes COES between physicians and pharmacists. By introducing this system, we could minimize the possible errors during inputing the inscription and converting the requirements to the volumes to prepare the required medicine. Units of prescribed volume were automatically changed through the computerization of TPN order. This procedure can save time and man-power for preparing the medicine by using Automatic TPN Prescripter. All of these has encouraged us to seek more active TPN consultation for the systemical examination and monitor TPN inscription, and to provide patients with TPN of a good quality.

        The author present a modified multi-loop algorithm including feedforward for controlling a 55kW step down chopper in the power supply of Maglev. The control law for the duty cycle consists of three terms. The first is the feedforward term which compensates for variations in the input voltage. The second term consists of the difference between the slowly moving inductor current and output current. The third term consists of proportional and integral terms involving the perturbation in the output voltage. This perturvation is derived by subtracting the desired output voltage from the actual output voltage. The proportional and integral action stabilizes the system and minimizes output voltage error. In order to verify the validity of the proposed multi-loop controller, simulation study was tried using Matlab simulink.
