Recently, the information exchange through a communication network has been increased rapidly. When the sensitive information being sent or stored, the cryptographic technique can be employed in order to prevent it from being exposed or modified by the illegal third party. To implement public key encryption systems based on the integer factorization and the discrete logaritm problem, an efficient exponential arithmetic is mandatory due to large numbers involved. In this paper, the general analysis about the highspeed implementation of primality testing and exponentiations are investigated as well as implementing RSA publickey system. The publickey cryptosystem can be applied to any applications which need both the privacy and the authentication. Finally, suing the software package named MIRACL which provides the basic number theoretic routines for cryptographic software developers. we have implemented the RSA encryption and decryption with BlumGoldwasser probabilistic algorithm under various key and message size.
반건식-백필터에 의한 소각배가스 중의 HCI, SOx 제거 (Ⅰ)

This study has been carried out to investigate the removal efficiencies of HCl/SOx in a Spray-Dryer/Fabric-Filter system. In HCl/SOx removal, we could identify the key factors such as spray dryer outlet temperature, molar equivalence ratio(MER) and fabric filter velocity, but we couldn't find out the correlation of HCl and SOx. The removals of HCl/SOx were inversely proportional to spray dryer outlet temperature(l30~170℃) and filter velocity(l.0~1.5 m/min), at the MER, HCl removal efficiency was strongly proportional to MER, but SOx, removal efficiency was not particularly increased by MER over 1.5. The removal efficiencies of HCl/SOx were improved over 10% at the fabric filter. In this Spray-Dryer/Fabric-Filter system, HCl/SOx removal efficiencies were about 99%, 96% respectively.

Today, the power systems have been complicated and large-scaled. In order to analyze such system promptly and maintain it efficiently, the application of computer to power system is introduced. Accordingly, the interest in analysis of power system by computer has been growing around the world. But there are many additional problems, such as inaccurate solution, computing time delay, and immense memory size. This paper deals with ordering algorithm and diakoptic method in large eletric power system, and its main concern is significant reduction in computing time and memory size. In this thesis a new diakoptic method is designed. It takes the good points of diakoptic method and MPRLD, a kind of optimal ordering algorithm, which had improved sparse vector method. Reducing in computing time and memory size by the diakoptic method designed is verified with a model system. It is possible to reduce because each teared area is analyzed independently and the concept of parallel processing is adopted.

Korean Medical Licensing Examination(KMLE) 2002 focused on evaluation of the integrative medical knowledge such as primary clinical care or problem-solving competence. We analyzed the correlation among the year-wise student academic scores(grade score), trial examination scores and KMLE score by correlation analysis and multiple regression method. Four times of trial examination were taken in 2001, which were composed according to the principles of KMLE. Trial examination scores were significantly correlated with student grade scores (p(0.05). KMLE score also correlated with student grade score a nd trial examination score. The grade score at senior had higher correlation coefficient than the grade score at junior in correlation analysis. In multiple regressions, grade score at senior and mean score of trial examinatio n score were significant variants affecting KMLE score. Based on this result, regression formula such as [KMLE score] = 110.596+21.449^*[6th grade score of student] + 0.577^*[mean of trial examination score] was established (R2=0.764, p<0.001). Our results show that the trial examination is useful evaluation tool for final assessment of medical achievements. Also a trial examination is used as a reference data for student guidance and control in preparing for KMLE.

Chungnam National University (CNU) is located in Daeduk Science Town, a center of science and technology in Korea, and it is expected to play an important role in the development of science in Korea. With this in mind, the basic natural sciences at CNU should be more actively supported in both education and research. Accordingly analysis and comparison of the basic science program at major college in Korea as well as those in the USA and Europe has been performed. The current cooperative relationship between CNU and research institutes in the science town has also been analyzed. This study has resulted in propositions to make more efficient the upbringing of the basic sciences at CNU, by focusing on the following points ; a) to improve academic affairs, b) to make graduate studies substantial, c) to secure highly qualified faculty members, d) to increase cooperation in research between CNU and reserch institutes, e) to enlarge research laboratories and acquire more equipment and facilities.

<P>Purpose:The aim of the study was to elucidate the positional relationship of the ethmoidal foramens (EFs) with reference to the nasion to facilitate prediction of the exact location of EFs, the optic canal (OC), and the frontoethmoidal suture (FS), and thereby avoid complications during complex surgery involving the medial wall of the orbit.Materials and Methods:One hundred two intact orbits of 57 embalmed cadavers were dissected in this observational anatomic study. Nasion' (N') was defined as the intersection point of the medial orbit margin with the horizontal line through the nasion, and this was used as a reference point. N'-OC was defined as the straight line joining N' and OC. The locations of the anterior ethmoidal foramen (AEF), posterior ethmoidal foramen (PEF), and OC were determined with reference to N'. The vertical distances from N'-OC to EFs and to FS were also determined.Results:The N'-AEF, AEF-PEF, and PEF-OC distances were 18.4, 15.3, and 8.3mm, respectively. Vertically, AEF and PEF were situated at 0.2mm below and 0.4mm above N'-OC, respectively. At the same reference points, N'-OC was situated at 0.4 and 0.6mm above FS, respectively.Conclusions:N', AEF, PEF, and OC were considered to be situated on the same straight line, and N'-OC could be regarded as coinciding with FS. This means that N' is an easily identifiable and reliable landmark for identifying EFs, OC, and FS. Our navigational parameters with reference to N' will help surgeons to enhance the safety of orbital surgery.</P>
Manufacturing process improvement of offshore plant: Process mining technique and case study

The shipbuilding industry is characterized by order production, and various processes are performed simultaneously in the construction of ships. Therefore, effective management of the production process and productivity improvement form important key factors in the industry. For decades, researchers and process managers have attempted to improve processes by using business process analysis (BPA). However, conventional BPA is time-consuming, expensive, and mainly based on subjective results generated by employees, which may not always correspond to the actual conditions. This paper proposes a method to improve the production process of offshore plant modules by analysing the process mining data obtained from the shipbuilding industry. Process mining uses information accumulated from the system-provided event logs to generate a process model and determine the values hidden within the process. The discovered process is visualized as a process model. Subsequently, alternatives are proposed by brainstorming problems (such as bottlenecks or idle time) in the process. The results of this study can aid in productivity improvement (idle time or bottleneck reduction in the production process) in conjunction with a six-sigma technique or ERP system. In future, it is necessary to study the standardization of the module production processes and development of the process monitoring system.
