Electric power is generated by Seeback Effect if there is thermal difference in peltier module. Peltier module is composed by alumina, Bi-Te semiconductor and insulation ( or air ). If load is increased in peltier module, the alumina of module will be destroyed. One of the preventing method of module destruction is using damper between module and heat source. But the electric power is dropped because of decrease of thermal difference, if thermal conductivity of damper was lower than other thermoelectric materials. We design Polymer Pad for enhancing thermoelectric power. As the result of these experiment, Polymer Pad is more superior than the Rubber in the stability and thermal conduction.
신성 고혈압 쥐에서 Pinacidil에 의한 혈관 이완반응에 있어 산소유리기의 역할

Purpose: Evidence has emerged that oxygen-derived free radicals may induce vascular relaxations via ATP-sensitive K+ (KATP) channels and the level of free radicals is increased in animal models of hypertension. The present study was conducted to determine whether relaxations to an KATP channel opener, pinacidil, are increased in the aorta from two-kidney, one clip (2K1C) hypertensive rats and whether free radial scavengers reduce these relaxations. Methods: 2K1C hypertension was induced by clipping the left renal artery and age-matched control rats received a sham treatment. Rings of aortae without endothelium were suspended for isometric force recording. Results: Relaxations to pinacidil (10-8 to 10-5 M), which are abolished by glibenclamide (10-5 M), were augmented in the aorta from 2K1C rats, compared to those from control rats. In the aorta from 2K1C rats, catalase (1,200 U/mL), but neither superoxide dismutase (150 U/mL) nor deferoxamine (10-4 M), reduced relaxations to pinacidil, whereas in the aorta from control rats, the free radical scavengers did not affect these relaxations. Conclusion: These results suggest that in 2K1C hypertension, vasorelaxation to an KATP channel opener is augmented and that hydrogen peroxide in smooth muscle cells may partly contribute to these relaxations.
신혈관성 고혈압쥐에서 Atrial Natriuretic Peptide가 혈관 기초장력에 미치는 영향

Purpose: Hypertension may be involved an alteration of intrinsic basal tone in vascular smooth muscle. The purpose of this study was to investigate the vasorelaxant effect of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) on isolated non-contracted aorta from two-kidney, one clip (2K1C) renovascular hypertensive rats. Methods: 2K1C hypertension was induced by clipping the left renal artery and were used 6 weeks later. Age-matched rats receiving a sham treatment, which served as controls. The thoracic aortae were mounted in tissue baths to measure the isometric tension. Results: ANP diminished basal tone in previously unstimulated thoracic aortic rings from 2K1C hypertensive rats, while it had no effect in the control rats. Endothelial destruction potentiated the vasorelaxant effect of ANP on basal tone in 2K1C rats. A similar potentiation of the ANP response was observed by pre-treatment with Nω-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME) or methylene blue in aortic rings with endothelium. Treatment with calcium-free Krebs decreased basal tone and abolished ANP-response. These effects were observed only in aortic rings from 2K1C rats. Similarly, staurosporine and calphostin C, inhibitors of protein kinase C (PKC), lowered basal tone and abolished ANP-response in hypertensive rats. Conclusion: These results demonstrate that ANP has a vasorelaxant effect on basal tone in 2K1C renovascular hypertension. Inhibition of ANP effects on basal tone by calcium-free Krebs and PKC antagonists suggests that altered Ca2+-active tone is involved in hypertension, that modifies the response of vascular smooth muscle to the ANP.
비화농성 삼출성 복수를 동반하는 질환에서 복막 침생검의 진단적 의의

Percutaneous needle biopsies of peritoneum with Abrams needle and Cope needle were done un 64 patients with non-purulent exudative ascites, who was admitted to the department of internal medicine, Chosun University hospital, from January 1978 to Deccmber 1983. The diagnostic significance and safety of the needle biopsy was estimated. The results were as follows. 1. Adequate peritoneal tissue for pathological diagnosis was obtained in 53 cases(82.8%) among 64 cases. (Abrams needle 84.8%, Cope needle 80.6%) 2. Definitive diagnosis was obtained in 31 cases among 53 cases (58.6%). (Tuberculosis 23 cases, malignancy 8 cases). 3. As compared final diagnosis with biopsy result, the rate of final diagnosis corresponding with biopsy diagnosis was 58.8% in tuberculosis and 26.3%, in malignancy, but the rate of biopsy diagnosis corresponding with final diagnosis was 100% in both tuberculosis and malignancy. 4. Cases of chronic non-specific inflammation which were diagnosed by biopsy were 13cases(24.5%)among 53 cases, and among these cases, tuberculosis was 69.2% and malignancy 30.8% on final diagnosis and among 53 cases, histologically normal was 9 cases(16.9%) of which 33.3% was tuberculosis and 66.7% was malignancy on final diagnosis. 5. Of the malignant cases on final diagnosis, Positive cytologic examination of ascitic fluid was 16.7% 6. Primary losions of cancerous peritonitis were stomach cancer (38.9%) hepatocellular cancer(22.2%) colon cancer (11.1%) ovarian cancer (11.1%) Pancreatic cancer (5.6%). 7. Complication of percutaneous peritoneal biopsy was local swelling with leakage of ascitic fluid and the accident rate were 36.4,% in Abraham needle and 3.2% in Cope needle.

A case study and review of nephrotic syndrome associated with a total Hydatidiform mole in 54- year-old female is presented. She has generalized edema, nephrotic range proteinuria(8.05gm/day), hypoalbuminemia(2.5g/dl) and high serum level of beta-hCG(200,000IU/L). Radiological investigations showed a 16-cm sized heterogenous enhanced mass in the uterus. A renal biopsy performed before evacuation of H-mole showed a focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. The complete remission of symptoms and signs of the nephrotic syndrom after evacuation of a molar tissue was achieved. A review of the literature revealed that this patient appears to be the first case of the FSGS with nephrotic syndrome associated with a total mole that remitted completely after the mole evacuation.

The purpose of this study is to create the living Sports for All boom which can participate everyone by using mass media for activation of the living Sports for All in Pusan, and owing to the city's negative policy for various problematics of the living Sports for All; such as the lack of public relation of the concerned authorities, a lack of an association of like-minded persons' support, shortage of P.R. Professional manpowers, owing to the negative policy against the city or district office's administrative, organizational, budgets etc, therefore, the P.R. of living Sports for All and the base enlargement were fall behinded than other cities, so that, the study aimed to establish various P.R. methods for the sake of citizen's health and to rise participation rate of the living Sports for All activity. Utilizing method of effective public relation of mass media for Pusan city's living Sports for All activations are as follows: If we publisize by considering the establishment of correct P.R. landmark through mass media and establishment of P.R. budget, choice of various mass media, drawing up P.R. draft, conclusion of P.R. program and the survey if P.R. effect then we will expect the utmost effect. Like this the conclusion of P.R. activation methods of the living Sports for All through mass media are as follows: First ; In other to spread the effect of living Sports for All P.R. we must consider the diversity of public relations, establishment of accurate goal of P.R.media, consideration of P.R. media's drawing up, consideration of daily program of P.R. media and consideration of continuous survey and analysis of the P.R. effect by using various mass media (such as : printing, broadcasting and the outdoors) Second : We must consider the support against the like minded person's activity, harmony of the elite physical education and the school Sports for All and the extension of the security and investment of the job site and the region and school Sports for All facilities. Third : In order to plan the activation of the living Sports for All through mass media, we must consider, there need establishment of exclusive public relation's post, establishment of system's organization, cultivate professional manpower and increase of P.R. budget and sustain the relation with the press continuously.
가성척추전위증 : 22예 분석보고 Review of 22 Cases

Study of 22 cases with the pseudospondylolisthesis established that it occurred more frequently in the older women, and far more frequently at the L4 level, as same results as reported by others. The slipping occurred as a result of degenerative disease of the articular process and facet joint, but it never exceeded 25% in this series. This study was performed to recognize the stability of the lumbosacral joint by the measurement of the anterior and posterior vertical heights(deformity) of the body of the L5 vertebra and lumbosacral angles in our cases. We also attempted to observe whether the facet angle changes at the involved level was meaningful or not. Result: Lumbosacral angles in the our patients with pseudospondylolisthesis were increased greater than normal, so lumbar lordosis was less than normal. The body of the L5 vertebra was not as wedged anteroposteriorly as it normally was. The contour of the body of the L5 vertebra resembled rectangle shape. The pedicle-facet angles were increased at involved level, but this measurement was not correctly demonstrated on the plain roentgenograms. Conclusion : The stability of the lumbosacral joint in the patients with pseudospondylolisthesis was increased due to rectangle shape of the body of the L5 vertebra and less lumbar lordosis. The pedicle-facet angles at the involved level were increased, but not correct diagnostic values.
