Optical fibers are indispensable for optical communication systems that transmit large volumes of data at high speed. But the aligning technology under the sub-micron accuracy is required for the precise axis adjustment and connection. For the purpose of precise alignment of the optical arrays, in this research, we have developed the 12-axis(with 8 automated axis and 4 manual axis) automatic optical fiber alignment system including the image processing-based searching system, the automatic loading system using the robot and the suction tool and the automatic UV bonding system. In order to obtain the sub-micron alignment accuracy, two 4-axis PC-based motion controllers and the two 50㎚ resolution 6-aixs micro-stage actuated by micro stepping motors are adopted. The fiber aligning procedure consists of two steps. Firstly, the optical wave guide and an input optical array are aligned by the 6-axis input micro-stage with the IR camera. The image processing technique is introduced to reduce primary manual aligning time and result in achieving the 50% decrease of aligning time. Secondly, the IR camera is replaced by the output micro-stage and a wave guide and two optical arrays are aligned simultaneously before the laser power intensity delivered to the optical powermeter reached the threshold value. When the aligning procedure is finished, the wave guide and arrays are UV bonded. The automatic loading/unloading system is also introduced and the entire wave guide handing time is reduced significantly compared to the former commercial aligning system.

We developed the automatic optical fiber by image processing and automatic loading system. We have developed 6-axis micro stage system for I/O optical fiber arrays, the initial automatic aligning system software for a input optical array by the image processing technique, fast I/O-synchronous aligning strategy, the automatic loading/unloading system and the automatic UV bonding mechanism. In order to adjust the alignment it used on PC based motion controller, a 10㎖ repeat-detailed drawing of automatic loading system is developed by a primary line up for high detailed drawing. Also, at this researches used the image processing system and algorithm instead of the existing a primary hand-line up and fiber input array and waveguide chip formed in line by automatic.

1988년 3월부터 1991년 2월까지 만 3년간 전북대학교병원 산부인과 유전학연구실에서 시행된 세포유전학적 검사중 성염색체이상이 의심되어 의뢰된 40명을 대상으로 본 연구를 시행한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 총 40예중 성염색체이상이 확인된 경우는 33예로 82.5%였고 그중 숫적 이상이 23예로 69.7%, 구조적 이상이 3예로 9.1%, 모자이시즘이 5예로 15.1%였다. 2. Turner`s증후군과 Kinetelter증후군 환자에서 시행된 호르몬 검사는 양자에서 모두 FSH, LH가 평균치보다 높았고, E2와 testosterone 역시 평균 4.4pg/ml, 2.4ng/ml으로 낮은 상태로 심한 성선기능부전을 시사해 주고 있었다. 3. X 염색체이상 환자 18명중 3예에서 (45, X/46, XX, 45X, 47, XXX) 만삭임신(16.7%)을 경험하였다. 이상과 같은 결론으로 미루어 사춘기 이차성징 발달의 장애, 무월경 및 불임, 습관성유산 환자들에서 성염색체이상이 주요원인이 됨을 확인할 수 있었고, 특히 모자이시즘의 빈도가 상염색체에서보다 높으며 비록 성염색체이상 환자에서 대부분 성선기능부전을 동반한다해도 수태가 가능한 경우가 있기 때문에 이들에 대한 최종적 진단 및 예후의 예측을 위해서는 보다 다양하고 정확한 세포유전학적 검사가 시행되어야 할 것으로 사료된다. To investigate the relationship between sex chromosomal abnormalities and gynecological problems such as amenorrhea, infertility, ambignous genitalis & habitual abortion, we reviewed clinical data and results of chromosomal study in the 40 patients who were referred to genetic laboratory of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Chonbuk National University Hospital. The total incidence of sex chromosomal abnormalities was 82.5%, we reconfirmed that the incidence of sex chromosomal abnormalities in the patients of suspected Klinefelter and Turner`s syndrome was higher than in other gynecological patients. FSH(111.1 mIU/ml) and LH (41.6mIU/ml) values in Turner`s syndrome were as high as in postmenopausal woman E2 & Testosterone values were lower than mean in the normal reproductive adults. These data suggested that a severge gonadal dysfunction may occurred in the patients with Turner`s syndrome. We have got very interesting 3 term pregnancies, two cases were observed in Turner`s syndrome (45, X/46, XX., 45, X), one was in Triple X. In conclusion, sex chromosomal abnormalities were very important causes of amenorthea and infertility couples, but the type of sex chromosomal abnormalities could influence the fertility rate. Therefore, it tell us that cytogenetic study is useful to make a accurate diagnosis and management in gynecologically abnormal patients.
