The purpose of this paper is to consider the movement of sentential constituents in Thai language. Thai language is a SOV type language and is isolated language in typological classification. Therefore, the part of speech in a sentence is determined by the word order, so the movement of sentential constituents is not very free. Nevertheless, the movement of sentential constituents is also seen in Thai. In this paper, in order to examine the movement of sentential constituents in Thai, firstly divided the movement direction of sentential constituents into left and right movements. It examines which sentential constituents can be moved and the differences of meaning from the original sentences (synonyms) when sentential constituents moved, It also examines what purpose is the movement of sentential constituents used in a sentence or discourse in other words, what is the purpose of the movement of sentential constituents. For the function of the movement of sentential constituents it examines function of topicalization and function of emphasis in left movement and examines function of evocation and function of emphasis in right movement

The purpose of this study is to evoke the need for KFL/KSL research which focuses on the learner factors while providing effective education to children and teenagers who are now simply unified as KSL learners. To this end, literature review preceded to analyze how the youth learners of Korean have been categorized so far, and to identify its limitations as well. It is suggested that changes of literacy circumstances experienced by the youth learners of Korean should be considered as a way to overcome the limitations raised by the literature review. This typology will help teachers and reserchers to explore optimized KFL/KSL education for the youth learners. It is also essential part to predict and categorize the curriculum for the youth learners of Korean in the future as well as the present.

This paper examines the refusal strategies of Korean and Thai speakers. Different languages leading to different preferences for speech act behaviors in the situations. The ultimate goal for learners learning a second language lies in their effective communication. This communication ability becomes possible when both grammatical and linguistic knowledge as well as sociolinguistic and pragmatic linguistic abilities are acquired. One of these sociolinguistic and pragmatic skills is a speech act. Refusals are typically the second part of a pair of adjacent utterances and it require a high level of pragmatic competence to be performed successfully. Refusal is not to accept requests, suggestions and offers of interlocutors. We do not want to hurt people’s feelings by the refusal, so it is mainly related to being politeness. The purpose of this study is to help Korean learners of Thai and Thai learners of Korean as to compare refusal strategies of Korean and Thai, which have a great influence on interpersonal relations. Beebe’s analysis tool is one of the most popular for the study on refusal speech act. However, it is a tool based on English refusal speech act. For this study attempted to compare the strategies employed in refusing requests, invitations, suggestions and offers by Korean and Thai according to the taxonomy of refusals developed by Beebe et al.(1990). In this article, we have divided refusal speech act strategies of Korean and Thai into three categories: Direct refusal, Indirect refusal(reason, alternative, negative willingness, future acceptance, apology, promise, avoidance and principle) and additional . The contrast study on the refusal speech act of Korean and Thai can not only examine the linguistic characteristics of the two languages, but also the Korean learners of Thai and Thai learners of Korean learn more accurately about refusal speech act, it will help both language learning.

The grade and price of Lentinula edodes largely differs in preference depending on the product area and seasonal factors. The product amount of autumn L. edodes was higher than that of spring L. edodes, but high quality, which is divided into “Hwago” is low in preference. Mostly, the autumn L. edodes is obtained as powder; hence, it is necessary to develop a processing method to utilize its flavor and aroma at an affordable price. Additionally, we estimated the content of β-glucan, ergosterol, vitamin D2, reducing sugars, and free amino acids and evaluated the anti-inflammatory activity of saccharification powder of log-cultivated L. edodes. In the saccharification powders obtained via 7 min of UV irradiation of log-cultivated L. edodes, β-glucan and vitamin D2 contents were found to be the highest, whereas ergosterol content was found to be the lowest. The content of reducing sugars ranged from 62.4 mg/L to 68.2 mg/L. The free amino acids were higher in these saccharification powders than in the control. Subsequently, RAW 264.7 cells were treated with different concentrations (10, 50, 100, 200, 300, and 500 μg/mL) of the saccharification powders of log-cultivated L. edodes obtained via different UV irradiation time applications. The cells showed good viability; the antiinflammatory effect was found to be the highest at 7 min UV irradiation. Therefore, 7 min of UV irradiation was determined to be the optimum condition for manufacturing saccharification powders of log-cultivated L. edodes. Hence, saccharification powders of log-cultivated L. edodes may be used as a raw material for natural sweeteners, food additives, and in the food industry.
