      • 韓國産「모기」Anopheles屬의 生態學的 硏究

        The routine entomological investigations were carried out in the area of kaejeong myon, okku-Gum, cholla-pukdo province, 1964 and sinchang-myon, a san gun, chungchong namdo province, 1965. These investigations had been paid attention the better understanding of the behavior of anopheline mosquitos with regarding to the polulation density, resting habit, breeding habti. The results obtained are as follows: 1. During the investigation, three species of anopheline mosquitos were recorded, such as anopheles sinensis Wiedmann 1985, Anopheles sineroides Yamada 1925 and Anophles yatsushiroensis Miyazaki 1965. Anopheles yatsushiroensis Miyazaki 1951, so far only recorded in Japan, was the first reconded species in Korea in 1964; the locality where it was found is kaejong myon, okku gun, cholla pukdo province. 2. Anopheles mosquitos begin to appear from the middle of April and to disappear in October. The collected date of mosquictos by resting place collection in cow shed are three weeks earler than night cow biting collection. 3. Resting places of anopheline mosquitos are mainly in shed and outdoors which has high humidity and shadow. 4. The population density of Anopheles sinensis collected in cow shed and by cow biting appeared a peak in late of june and early of july, and secondary small peak in late of august and early september. 5. The biting activity at night from dusk to dawn, sharply decreasing just before dawn. The peak period has shown in different time in each months such as 21;00-22;00 hours in june, 23:00-24:00 in august, and 23:00-24:00 in september. 6. The minimum temperature for mosquito biting activity is 15°6 and the optimum is between 24-25℃ the activity decreased. 7. Anopheles sinensis appeared to be zoophilic in Sinchang area 30 times anthrophophilic than former area. 8. The light attraction of anopheles sinensis is 2.5 times higher. 9. The parous rate of Anopheles sinensis is significantly low in middle June and early August. 10. The parous rate of Anopheles sienesis caught by cow biting collection appeared higher after midnight (24:00-03: oohours) with no relation to the peak period of biting activity.

        불어권 카나다 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 카나다 불어권 지역, 즉 퀘벡의 문화에 대한 포괄적이고 기초적인 지식을 확립하는 데 있다. 퀘벡은 주변 영어문화권으로부터 받는 끊임없는 동화의 위협에도 불구하고 자신들 고유의 불어권 문화를 형성, 발전시킴으로써 세계 문화 구도 속에서 독특한 위치를 차지하고 있으며, 퀘벡의 역사는 문화적, 사회적, 정치적 변화 속에서 자신들만의 독특한 정체성을 형성하기 위한 퀘벡인들의 노력이 어떠한 것이었던가를 잘 보여준다. 따라서 본 연구는 카나다 불어권을 역사, 정치, 경제, 예술, 언어의 다섯 분야로 나누어 탐구함으로써 이 지역이 갖는 특수성을 보다 잘 이애하고자 하였다. 특히 다음의 사항이 주된 연구 대상이 되었다. 주요 연구대상은 카나다 불어의 역사, 문화 생활에 불어의 사용이 끼친 영향, 이중언어주의, 현재의 퀘벡의 경제상항, 다원문화주의, 문화의식과 정치의식과의 상관성, 카나다의 미래 등이었다. 이러한 연구들 통해 우리는 퀘벡이 다른 문화권들과의 관계 속에서 자신의 독자성을 잃지 않으려는 끊임없는 노력을 보여주는 동시에 '다양성 속의 통일성'이라는 자신의 궁극적 목표에 다가서려는 노력도 잃지 않는 독자적인 문화권임을 알 수 있었다. Le but de cette etude est d'etablir les connaissances preliminaires et globales sur la culture du Quebec, region francophone du Canada. Cette region a un statut particulier dans la culture mondiale; comme un petit ilot francophone entoure d'une mer anglophone, le Quebec a toujours eu la volonte de sauvegarder son identite specifique, a travers les aleas d'une histoire agitee, parfois perilleuse meme. Portant notre attension sur cette specificite, nous avons essaye d'examiner la francophonie canadienne en cinq domaines : celui de l'histoire, de la politique, de l'economie, de l'art et de la langue. Notre reflexion s'est penchee surtout sur les questions suivantes: - l'evolution du francaise au Canada a travers les siecles - l'impact de l'usage du francais sur la vie culturelle - la situation actuelle du bilinguisme canadien - la conscience identitaire des francophones canadiens - la situation actuelle economique du Quebec - Le pluriculturalisme et le modele canadien par rapport au modele americain - leur resonnance dans la conscience cuturelle et politique - l'impasse constitutionnelle et la conscience politique des Canadiens - le Canada, quel avenir? Ce faisant, nous avons pu constater que le Quebec est une region culturelle independante s'efforcant a maintenir son identite specifique dans les relations complexes avec les autre communautes culturelles et a atteindre son but essentiel : "la diversite dans l'unit".

      • 경연 대회를 통한 초ㆍ중고생의 창의력 신장 효과에 관한 연구

        미래 사회를 대비하기 위한 개인의 개성을 존중과 창의적인 능력을 지닌 인간을 양성을 목적으로 충청남도 지역의 초 ㆍ 중고등학생들을 대상으로 한 창의력 경연대회가 공주대학교 과학교육연구소에서 개최되었다. 충청남도 초 ㆍ중 ㆍ 고등학생들을 대상으로 실시한 창의력 경연대회는 창조적 아이디어를 내어 스스로 문제를 해결해 나갈 수 있는 교육 프로그램을 제공하는 좋은 기회였음이 확인되었으나, 일부의 팀에서만 참신하고 재미있는 아이디어들이 제안되었다. 여학생의 참가자 수가 상당히 증가하였으며, 대체적으로 입상권의 학생들의 상당 부분이 여학생이라는 것이 특이할만하다. 학년이 올라감에 따라서 창의적인 아이디어를 내는 양이나 질에 있어서 뒤떨어지는 것으로 분석되었으며, 토론 학습의 적응력이 미흡하고 발표력 및 청취력에 있어서도 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 중 ㆍ고등학교의 학교교육에서도 학생들에게 프로젝트형 탐구학습 프로그램의 적용은 물론 토론식 수습을 통한 학생들의 사고의 전환의 기회를 제공해야 할 것으로 사료된다. The creativity competition was held to foster the creativity of elementary and secondary school students in the Institute of Science Education, Kongju national University. It was found that the creativity competition effected on the improvement of inventing creative ideas and problem solving activities. But, only some competitors participated in semifinal and final contests, presented original and interesting ideas. More female students participated in competition than last year. More female participants were awarded a prize than males. Totally, participants were defective in discussion and communication, and presentation and listening ideas. Increasing grades correlated inversely with creativity and originality. There is need of inquiry project teaming programs and presenting opportunities of conversion of thinking by discussing instructions in school

      • 밑면이 가열된 五方形 空間내의 熱對流에 관한 數値解析

        The theoretical study addresses the nature of motions and heat transfer in confined rectangular enclosure heated from below and colled on the top simultaneously subject to themal wall conditions that the side walls are insulated or cooled alternately. Also the flow dynamics and the characteristics of convective performance are argued in the numerical scheme by using Grashof no. and Reynolds no. as variable parameters according to the moving conditions in which the natural convections are discussed for fixed condition and the forced and mixed convection also discussed for moving wall at constant speed. It is envisaged that follows below The circulation velocity caused by the buoyant effects exhibits the tendency toward increasing at low Reynolds no., especially this trend is obvious near Re=100. As Re no. is increased, the vortexflow produced at the corners in the low part is inclined to develop thus reduce heat transfer, especially this phenomenon turns to be clear by the advancement of multi-cell at Gr=10^5 and Re=400∼500. The vortex also occurs in the corner under the natural convection, however the effects of the eddy on the heat transfer seems to be more insignificant than in the forced and mixed case. It is also shown that the point at which heat transports best tends to shift from right to left as Re no. is increased, and the reduction of heat transfer neighbouring the wall side is remarkable inproportion to Grashof number.

        放射線이 생쥐生殖細胞에 미치는 影響에 關한 硏究

        The objectives of present study is to investigate genetic damage of radiation in mammalian male germ cell and to establish available screening method for determining genetic hazard by radiation. Several methods were employed to measure the genetic damage of radiation as follows: Sperm head counts, frequency occurrence of sperm with abnormal head shape, fertility, activity of LDH-X, and the induction of unscheduled DNA synthesis (U.D.S.) in male mouse were performed with the passing of time after irradiation by making use of the sequence of event that occurs during spermatogenesis. Sperm head counts and activity of LDH-X in testes were gradually reduced by increased radiation dose and with the passing of the time after irradiation. Frequency occurrence of sperm with abnormal head shape, sterile period, and the induction of unscheduled DNA synthesis were increased by increased radiation dose. It is suggested that since germ cell is a direct reflection of genetic complement, the use of male germ cell is rapid and convenient method for measuring genetic damage by radiation.

      • 모세관 전기영동 장치를 이용한 음이온계 계면활성제의 분석

        모세관 전기영동 장치를 이용하여 금속 표면 세척제(상품명 BFA와 BCA) 2종에 포함된 음이온 계면활성제 대한 정성 및 정량분석을 수행하였다. Acetonitrile과 sodium benzoate를 포함하는 pH 10의 완충용액을 이용하여 18kV의 전압하에서 분리한 결과10^4 이상의 이론단수를 보이는 좋은 electropherogram을 얻을 수 있었다. S/N∼3인 농도를 기준으로 검출한계는 ∼5ppm이었으며 표준물질을 이용하여 얻은 검정곡선의 경우 농도가 10∼100ppm의 범위에서 ∼0.99 이상의 상관계수를 갖는 좋은 직선성을 보였으며, 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 분석한 결과 BFA의 경우 음이온 계면활성제의 각 성분은 octanoate, decanoate, dodecanoate, tetradecanoate, hexadecanoate 등이었으며 상대비는 각각 1.0 : 1.0 : 6.5 : 2.1 : 0.8 이었다. Qualitative and quantitative analysis for the anionic surfactants used in the metal washing fluid (brand names are BFA and BCA) was performed by the capillary electroihoresis. Acetonitrile and sodium benzoate were mixed with the buffer solutioin which controlled at pH 10. Under the 18kV applied voltage, the electropherograms have shown the theoretical plates more that 10^4. Determined as the concentration at the S/N∼3, the typical detection limit was ∼5ppm and the calibration curves have shown the correlation coefficients higher than ∼0.99. Based on these results, it was concluded that each components were octanoate, decanoate, dodecanoate, tetradecanoate, hexadecanoate and the relative ratio was 1.0 : 1.0 : 6.5 : 2.1 : 0.8 for the BFA.

        DNA chip evaluation as a diagnostic device

        To use DNA chip as a diagnostic device, it should be evaluated and approved as a medical device. In this study, we developed aguideline for DNA chip evaluation and evaluated a commercialized DNA chip according to the guideline. This guideline consists ofthree parts: evaluation of quality control system, analytical performance, and clinical performance of DNA chips. First, the qualitycontrol system should be evaluated in the aspect of material, manufacturing process, and nal product. In addition, the validation ofexpiration date, storing condition, and required reagents is needed to conrm the quality control system. Second, the analytical per-formance of DNA chip should be evaluated by accuracy, sensitivity, reproducibility, and cut-o value. Third, the clinical perfor-mance of DNA chip should be evaluated by clinical specicity, clinical sensitivity, positive and negative predictive value. WeThe accuracy of a DNA chip was evaluated by comparing the test results to DNA sequencing results. Lot-to-lot reproducibility wasassessed by consistency of results from three dierent lots. The accuracy and reproducibility of the HPV DNA chip were almost100%. In addition to the accuracy and reproducibility, the cut-o value of DNA chip was above 2.3 [Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR)P 2.3]..

        Retrospective clinical study of mandible fractures

        Objectives: The purpose of this article is to analyze the incidence, demographic distribution, type, and etiology of mandible fractures that were treated by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Kyung Hee University Dental Hospital from January 2002 to December 2012. Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive and analytic retrospective study that evaluated 735 patients that were treated for mandible fracture. Results: This study included 1,172 fractures in 735 patients. The ratio of male to female patients was 5.45 : 1; the maximum value was in patients between 20 and 29 years (38.1%) and the minimum in patients over 70 years old. The monthly distribution of facial fractures peaked in the fall and was lower during winter. No specific correlation was identified based on the annual fracture distribution. Among the 735 fracture patients, 1.59 fracture lines were observed per patient. The most frequent site was the symphysis, which accounted for a total of 431 fractures, followed by the angle (348), condyle (279), and body (95). The symphysis with angle was the most common site identified in combination with fracture and accounted for 22.4%, followed by symphysis with condyle (19.8%). The angle was the most frequent site of single fractures (20.8%). The major cause of injury was accidental trauma (43.4%), which was followed by other causes such as violence (33.9%), sports-related accidents (10.5%), and traffic accidents (10.1%). Fracture incidents correlated with alcohol consumption were reported between 10.0%-26.9% annually. Conclusion: Although mandible fracture pattern is similar to the previous researches, there is some changes in the etiologic factors.

        Genotoxic effects of 3 T magnetic resonance imaging in cultured human lymphocytes

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>The clinical and preclinical use of high‐field intensity (HF, 3 T and above) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners have significantly increased in the past few years. However, potential health risks are implied in the MRI and especially HF MRI environment due to high‐static magnetic fields, fast gradient magnetic fields, and strong radiofrequency electromagnetic fields. In this study, the genotoxic potential of 3 T clinical MRI scans in cultured human lymphocytes in vitro was investigated by analyzing chromosome aberrations (CA), micronuclei (MN), and single‐cell gel electrophoresis. Human lymphocytes were exposed to electromagnetic fields generated during MRI scanning (clinical routine brain examination protocols: three‐channel head coil) for 22, 45, 67, and 89 min. We observed a significant increase in the frequency of single‐strand DNA breaks following exposure to a 3 T MRI. In addition, the frequency of both CAs and MN in exposed cells increased in a time‐dependent manner. The frequencies of MN in lymphocytes exposed to complex electromagnetic fields for 0, 22, 45, 67, and 89 min were 9.67, 11.67, 14.67, 18.00, and 20.33 per 1000 cells, respectively. Similarly, the frequencies of CAs in lymphocytes exposed for 0, 45, 67, and 89 min were 1.33, 2.33, 3.67, and 4.67 per 200 cells, respectively.
