        Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.

      • 고속 플라즈마 진단용 능동회로의 설계 및 응용

        본 논문에서는 자화 플라즈마의 파라메타를 측정할 수 있는 고속 푸르브 구동시스템을 구현하였다. 이 시스템은 1[msec] 이내에 -40 - +40[V]에 이르는 톱니파 전압을 푸르브에 인가시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 2회 연속 미분을 행하여 전자에너지 분포함수를 구할 수 있었다. 이와 같이 고속 푸르브 구동시스템 및 2회 연속 미분회로를 이용하여 고속으로 거의 전형적인 푸르브 특성곡선을 얻을 수 있었고 2회 연속 미분회로로써 얻어진 전자에너지 분포하수에서 플라즈마의 중심부 보다 플라즈마의 가장자리에 고에너지를 가진 전자들이 많이 분포함을 알 수 있었다. In this paper ,we have realized the high speed probe driving circuit system which can measure the plasma parameters of magnetoplasma. By this system, the probe voltage can be seeped in a 1[msec] order. In addition, we can obtain the electron energy distribution function in magnetoplasma by using two differentiators. In this study, we obtain a complete probe characteristics, and find that the electron energy measured at the edge of plasma is larger than of electron measured at the center of plasma

        The objectives of the present study is to solve problems in PC tile before-fixing method using ordinary concrete by adopting the liquefaction method in manufacturing PC to which the tile before-fixing method is applied, and to provide basic information for the practical use of the PC tile before-fixing method, which uses high workable concrete, through manufacturing a complex body based on the optimal mix proportion.

      • 소장내 위석에 의한 장폐쇄증으로 발생한 급성신부전 1례

        Gastric bezoars are concretions or hard masses of foreign matter found in the gastrointestinal tract. It may induce many complications including intestinal obstruction. No report has been proposed on a case of prerenal ARF induced by intestinal obstruction by small-bowel bezoar. Therefore, we report a case of the patient with ARF associated with small-bowel bezoar, who initially visited with the symptoms of nausea and frequent vomiting. 위석(bezoar)은 여러 가지 이물 및 내재성물질이 위장관내에서 혼합되어 응고물을 형성한 것을 말하며, 가장 흔한 형태의 합병증으로 장폐쇄증이 올 수 있으나, 그로 인하여 신부전의 양상으로 나타나는 경우는 흔하지 않다. 이에 저자들은 내원 당시의 병력 및 이학적 검사만으로 장폐색의 원인이 위석임을 의심할 수 없었던 비전형적인 소견을 보인 소장내의 위석에 의한 장폐쇄증과 이로 인해 발생한 급성신부전의 예를 경험하였기에 이에 보고하는 바이다.

      • 滌痰湯이 흰쥐의 高脂血症에 미치는 영향에 관한 實驗的 연구

        This study was done in order to investigate the effect of choˇkda~m-t'ang on hyperlipidemia. Methods: Hyperlipidemia was induced in male rats by oral administration of cholesterol(50㎎/㎏) diet for 45 days. To carry out an experiment, the rats was divided into three groups. The first group(normal group) was fed on water for 45 days. The second group(control group) was administered 5% ethanol instead of water only for first 15 days and subsequently administered cholesterol(50㎎/㎏ p.o) diet with 5% ethanol for the second 15 days and fed on a solution of salt for the last 15 days during total 45 days. The third group(sample group) was administered in the same way with the control group for 30 days and injected choˇkda~m-t'ang extract(100㎎/㎏) for the last 15 days during total 45 days. And measured the levels of serum total cholesterol, serum HDL-cholesterol, serum total lipid, serum triglyceride, serum phospholipid, hepatic lipid peroxide and activity of serum AST·ALT. Results: 1. From fifteenth day, the level of total cholesterol was decreased with the significance in the sample group as compared with the control group. 2. The level of serum HDL-cholesterol was increased in the sample group compared with control group, but did not show significance. 3. The level of serum total lipid was decreased with significance in the sample group as compared with control group. 4. The level of serum triglyceride was decreased with significance in the sample group as compared with control group. 5. The level of serum phospholipid was decreased in the sample group compared with control group, but did not show significance. 6. The level of hepatic lipid peroxide was decreased with significance in the sample group as compared with control group. 7. The activity of serum ALT was decreased with significance in sample group as compared with control group, but that of serum AST was not significance. Conclusion According to above results, it is considered that choˇkda~m-t'ang injection groups have recovering effect on the hyperlipidemia induced by oral cholesterol administration in male rats. This might be suggest that choˇkda~m-t'ang have recovering effect on arteriosclerosis and cerebral vascular accidents. Choˇkda~m-t'ang increase body's capacity of controling abnormal lipid metabolism, it can be used to prevent hyperlipidemia and related diseases.

      • 국내육성 오차드그라스 품종들의 캘러스 형성율 및 식물체 재분화 효율

        Comparisons of callus formation ratios from seed explants, callus sizes, regeneration ratios from callus and regeneration efficiency for 4 orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) varieties (Three were developed in Korea and one was imported from foreign nation) are as follows; Jangbeol 102 (67.0%) has the highest callus formation ratio in 4 weeks incubated callus after bedding the seed explants, but Potomac (68.4%) has the highest ratio in 6-seek callus. Potomac (3.93cm) has the highest callus size in 4-week callus, but Jangbeol 101 (4.32cm) has the highest size in 6-week callus. Jangbeol 101 (17.7%) has the highest plant regeneration ratio in 4-week callus, but Potomac (37.4%) has the highest raion in 6-week callus. Jangbeol 102 (11.5%) has the highest plant regeneration efficiency in 4-week callus, but Potomac (25.6%) has the highest efficiency in 6-week callus.

      • Agrobacterium을 이용한 치커리의 형질 전환

        본 실험은 치커리 'Radicchio'(Cichorium intybus L.)에서 Agrobacterium을 이용한 형질전환에 영향을 주는 요인들을 적정화하기 위하여 실시되었다. 치커리 'Radicchio'의 자엽절편체를 이용한 kanamycin과 cefotaxime 항생제 감응성 검정 결과 20 mg·L^(-1) 이상의 kanamycin 농도가 형질전환 신초의 선발에 적당하고 200 mg·L^(-1)의 cefotaxime 농도가 절편체 생장에 부정적인 영향을 주지 않으며 배지 내 Agrobacteria를 제거하기에 적절함을 나타내었다. Terpene cyclase 유전자가 재조합된 PILTAB 벡터를 갖는 Agrobacterium tumefaciens LBA4404와의 효과적인 공동배양 기간은 3일간으로 결정되었다. IAA 1.0 mg·L^(-1), BAP 1.0 mg·L^(-1), kanamycin 20 mg·L^(-1) 그리고 cefotaxime 200 mg·L^(-1)를 함유한 선발배지에서 형질전환 된 것으로 여겨지는 신초들이 생산되어 발근을 위해 kanamycin 40 mg·L^(-1)와 cefotaxime 200 mg·L^(-1)이 첨가된 1/2MS 발근배지에 옮겨져 87%의 발근율을 보였다. 발근된 형질전환체들을 대상으로 terpene cyclase 유전자특이 primer를 이용한 PCR 분석이 실시되어 재분화 치커리 내로 1.64 kb 크기의 terpene cyclase 유전자의 성공적인 도입을 확인하였다. This experiment was initiated to optimize factors affecting Agrobacterium-mediated transformation in Cichorium intybus L. cv. Radicchio. The results from the antibiotic sensitivity test for kanamycin and cefotaxime using cotyledon explants of chicory 'Radicchio' suggested that the concentration of kanamycin above 20 mg·L^(-1) might be an appropriate level to make a selection on transgenic shoots possible and 200 mg·L^(-1) of cefotaxime also could be a proper concentration to remove Agrobacteria from the media without any negative effect on explants. The efficient duration for co-cultivation of cotyledon explants with Agrobacterium tumefaciens LBA4404 harboring the recombinant binary vector PILTAB carrying 1.64 kb terpene cyclase gene was decided as 3 days. Putative transgenic shoots were produced on the selection media containing 1.0 mg·L^(-1) IAA, 1.0 mg·L^(-1) BAP, 20 mg·L^(-1) kanamycin, and 200 mg·L^(-1) cefotaxime and transferred to 1/2MS media supplemented with 40 mg·L^(-1) kanamycin and 200 mg·L^(-1) cefotaxime for rooting. The rooting ratio was 63% and putative transgenic plants with roots were obtained. Results from PCR analysis with terpene cyclase gene specific primers confirmed a successful insertion of 1.64 kb terpene cyclase gene into the genomic DNA of the regenerated chicory.

        수치지형도를 활용한 홍수지도 제작용 지형자료의 효과적인 구축방법 연구

        한국수자원공사에서는 홍수지도 제작을 위한 정밀 지형자료 구축을 위해 LiDAR 측량을 실시하고 있으며, 향후 전국에 대한 홍수지도 제작시 막대한 비용이 소요될 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 홍수지도 제작이 꼭 필요한 지역을 선정하기 위한 사전모의용 자료구축을 위해 NGIS 수치지형도를 활용하는 것이 바람직하며, 이를 위해서는 각 축척별 수치지형도의 표고오차 분석이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 수치지형도의 DEM 오차를 평가하기 위해 LiDAR 측량을 수행하여 구축한 DEM과 비교하였다. 특히 수치지형도로부터 구축한 TIN으로부터 DEM을 생성하기 위해 수행하는 보간법의 종류에 따라 발생하는 오차특성을 분석하였다. 분석결과 1:1,000 수치지형도가 1:5,000 수치지형도에 비해 오차가 작게 나타났으며, linear 보간을 수행한 DEM이 quintic 보간을 수행한 DEM에 비해 작은 오차특성을 보였다. 특히 도시지역의 경우 완만한 경사로 구성되어 있기 때문에 해상도에 따른 DEM 오차의 변화는 매우 작은 것으로 평가되었다. Korea Water Resources Corporation carried out LiDAR survey to construct detailed terrain data for flood mapping and it is expected that much money is required in flood mapping of all over the country. Therefore, it is desirable to use NIS digital map to construct preliminary modelling data for selection of flood mapping area. And the analysis of DEM error with respect to scale of digital map is necessary for the sake of applying digital map as the input data of flood mapping. We compared DEM from digital map with DEM from LiDAR survey. Especially we analyzed DEM error characteristics that is occurred with respect to the interpolation method that is used to construct DEM from TIN of digital map. As a result of analysis, digital map(1:1,000) showed smaller error than digital map(1:5,000) and DEM applying linear interpolation showed smaller error than DEM applying quintic interpolation. Especially, variation of DEM error by cell resolution was evaluated as very slight because urban district was composed of gentle slope.
