        This paper is focused on identifying job-satisfaction level that employee of mechanical industry being located in Tae-Jeon city and Chung-Cheung Provine of Korea. The "two Factor Theory of Motivation" by Herzberg was adapted for this paper. To identify the factors of job-satisfaction, correlation and ANOVA Method was applicated. Following items are the result of researching. 1. To mechanical industry employees motivators are related to job-satisfaction and instead of hygiene factors, motivators are also effected on job-dissatisfaction. 2. The higher education personnel shows the high level of job-satisfation. 3. Finally, the upper position personnel. In conclusion, supervisor or managerial personnel need to recognized and praise subordinate personnel, and give them a fait chancd of promotion.

      • SoC 플랫폼에서 다층구조 공유버서의 레이턴시 모델과 해석

        SoC 설계 기술의 발달로 하나의 칩내에 집적되는 시스템이 다양한 기능을 수행함에 따라 높은 버스 대역폭이 요구되고 있으며, 시스템 버스의 성능이 전체 시스템의 성능에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 논문은 다중 마스터를 갖는 SoC용 플랫폼의 효율적인 버스 자원 관리를 위해 다층 구조를 갖는 공유 버스의 레이턴시 모델을 제안하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 제안된 버스 시스템 환경에서, 시스템이 단일 전송률 20%와 버스 사용률 50%를 가질 때, 2-layer와 3-layer가 1-layer와 비교하여 각각 약 45%와 약 63%의 레이턴시가 감소하였다. 또한 레이턴시 모델을 통해 버스의 사용량과 전송 방식의 관계를 분석하였다. 끝으로 레이턴시 모델에 버스의 동작 주파수와 데이터의 전송 크기를 대입하여 레이어의 수에 따른 버스 처리량을 구하였다. 구해진 버스 처리량과 MPEG, USB2.0과 같은 IP를 포함하는 SoC플랫폼이 필요로 하는 처리량과의 비교를 통해 IP 수에 적합한 버스 레이어를 정량화하여 특정 SoC플랫폼에 최적인 멀티레이어 구조를 도출하였다. Nowadays a SoC(system-on-a-chip) requires high bandwidth system bus for performing multiple functions. Performance of the system is affected by bandwidth of the system bus. In this paper, for efficient management of the bus resource on a SoC platform, we present a latency model of the shared bus organized by multiple layers. As the results of simulation, the latency of 2-layer and 3-layer bus architecture are reduced 45% and 63% respectively to compare with a single-layer's under the assumed conditions of the proposed model. We could analysis the relationship between a bus usage and a transfer protocol using the proposed model. Finally we evaluate a throughput of the bus and compared with a needed throughput by SoC platform including IPs such as MPEG or USB 2.0. We can use the results as a criteria to find out an optimal bus organization for the specific SoC design.

      • 위발성 위장관 악성림프종 환자에서 항암치료의 효과

        Purpose: The gastrointestinal (GI) tract is the most common site of extranodal non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), which is increasing in incidence, but there is no established optimal treatment modality. Thus, this study was investigated the clinicohistologic feature, the therapeutic modalities, and the prognosis for GI-NHL, as well as the factors affecting it. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 45 patients who had been diagnosed as having GI-NHL and had been followed up from July 1994 to February 2005 at Soonchunhyang University Hospital. The patients were divided into groups according to the site of origin and to various other features, and the survivals of the various groups were compared. The modified Ann Arbor system and WHO classification were adopted for staging and histopathologic classification, respectively. Results: GI-NHL of the stomach, small bowel, ileocecal region, and colon occurred in 28 patients (62.2%), 5 patients (11.1%), 3 patients (6.7%), and 8 patients (17.8%), respectively, In one patient, the entire gastrointestinal tract was diffusely involved. The median age of patients was b5 years (25~78 years), and male-to-female ratio was 1:1.1. Fourteen patients were in stage Ⅰ, 24 in stage Ⅱ, 4 in stage Ⅲ, and 3 in stage Ⅳ. Surgical resection was performed in 19 patients, and combination chemotherapy was performed in 43 patients. Surgical resection only was performed in 4 patients, Chemotherapy only was performed in 26 patients. The expected overall 5 year survival of 45 patients was 39.6%, and there was a significant survival difference between the stages, but between sites of origin (p=0.842). The most important factors influencing the survival was the stage and other factors were not significant. Conclusion: The stomach was the most common site of GI-NHL. Most GI-NHL were localized Stage was the most important prognostic factor. However, Prospective randomized studies are needed to approve the therapeutic modality.

      • Effect of gel spinning accompanied with cross-linking using boric acid on the structure and properties of high-molecular-weight poly(vinyl alcohol) fiber

        <P>To enhance the thermal stability of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) fiber, the fiber was prepared from the gel spinning of high molecular weight (HMW) PVA by using dimethyl sulfoxide/water (8/2, v/v) as a solvent, accompanied with the cross-link by boric acid (B-PVA). In addition, the structure and properties of the B-PVA fiber were compared with those of the HMW PVA fiber obtained by using the same spinning system without cross-linking (NB-PVA). Through a series of experiments, it turned out that cross-linking actualized by an optimum amount of boric acid (0.3 wt % based on PVA) and zone drawing caused significant changes in the properties of HMW PVA gel fiber. That is, cross-linking increased thermal degradation temperatures at each degradation step and amounts of final residues, resulting in improving thermal properties of the PVA fiber. On the contrary, it was found that in the case of the B-PVA fiber, some broadening of the original PVA unit cell occurred, which was identified by the peak shift to lower angle in X-ray diffractogram.       • 원전 고등제어 알고리즘 설계를 위한 소규모 시뮬레이터 개발

        There has been a difficulty in implementing control algorithms (including even proportional-integral-derivative control algorithms) designed to verify and test to many small-scale simulators. In particular, it was almost impossible to implement advanced control algorithms to them. Therefore, it is required to develop a new simulator that facilitates the implementation of advanced control algorithms and the interface between different kinds of application programs. The objective of this work is to improve the existing small-scale simulator (FISA-2/WS) for the Kori unit 2 nuclear power plant and thus enable advanced control algorithms to be tested and verified by being applied to it. The developed simulator consists of FORTRAN, Visual C++, and MATLAB programs and an advanced control method using a receding horizon control method was applied to it to control the steam generator water level.

        A comparison of some imidazoles in the curing of epoxy resin

        An epoxy-imidazole resin system was used to form an anisotropic conducting film (ACF) for electronic equipment applications. In this study, the curing behaviors of an epoxy resin with imidazole, 2-methylimidazole, 2-ethylimidazole, 2-phenylimidazole, 1-methylimidazole, 2-ethyl-4(5)-methylimidazole,and 1-(2-cyanoethyl)-2-ethyl-4(5)-methylimidazole were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and the curing times were determined at 150 and 180 8C. The polymerization mechanism for the epoxy resin with imidazoles was examined, and the DSC results matched the mechanism. 2-Methylimidazole exhibited the fastest reaction time among the imidazoles used in this study.

        Genotoxicity Studies on Carrageenan : Short-term In Vitro Assays

        Carrageenan is a naturally-occurring sulfated polygalactan which has been widely used in the dairy industry and a gelling agent in non-dairy products. In this study, four short-term in vitro genotoxicity assays were investigated to evaluate the potential genotoxic effects of carrageenan. The mutagenicity of carrageenan was evaluated up to a maximum dose of 5 ㎎/plate in Ames test. There was no increase in the number of revertant colonies compared to its negative control at any dose in all of strains tested. To assess clastogenic effect, the in vitro chromosomal aberration assay was performed using Chinese hamster lung cells. Carrageenan was not considered to be clastogenic in this assay at up to the highest feasible concentration which could be evaluated. The in vitro comet assay and micronucleus test results obtained on L5178Y cells also revealed that carrageenan has no genotoxicity potential, although there was a marginal increase in micronuclei frequencies and DNA damage in the respective micronucleus and comet assays. Taken together, our results indicate that carrageenan was not genotoxic based on four in vitro genotoxicity results.

        Microencapsulation of imidazole curing agent for epoxy resin

        An epoxy resin–imidazole system was used to form the adhesives for the anisotropic conducting film (ACF), and a latent curing system was necessary for the ACF. In this study, 2-phenylimidazole (2PhI) was encapsulated for the latent curing system. Polycaprolactone (PCL) was used as the wall material, and the solvent evaporation method was used to form the microcapsule. The effects of the ratio of 2PhI and PCL,and the effects of themolecular weight of PCL were investigated during the microcapsule formation. The amount of 2PhI in themicrocapsule was measured using TGA. The permeability of the microcapsuleswas measured in ethanol, and the shelf life of the microcapsules was also studied for the epoxy resin. The curing behavior was examined using DSC. In the curing reaction of the epoxy resin, the microcapsule of 2PhI exhibited a delayed kinetic behavior compared to pure 2PhI. This microcapsule of 2PhI exhibited a long shelf life, and the curing did not occur in this microcapsule–epoxy resin system at 20 8C for more than 30 days. 2010 The Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry.
