Currently, 10% of cancer chemotherapy is provided to patients by oral formulation; however,by 2013 this percentage is predicted to increase to 25%. Chemotherapy is traditionally given by injection. Oral chemotherapy has been developed as a more convenient method for treating patients. Oral chemotherapy offers many advantages including the elimination of pain often caused by injections, the lack of fees for administering intravenous drugs, more time at home for patients, and a patient’s increased sense of autonomy. The role of oral chemotherapy has been expanding because of the potential advantages in convenience and better quality of life for patients, and in the cost-effectiveness of treatment as compared to intravenous chemotherapy. A number of novel oral targeted and cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agents are entering the market or are in development. Many of the agents display significant clinical activity against various cancers. The growing availability of effective oral chemotherapy treatments, especially the new class of ‘targeted biologic therapies’, is one of the wonderful recent advances in cancer care. This manuscript describes the progress of clinical development and efficacy of these newly developed chemotherapeutic agents.

Background and Objectives:This study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of superior cervical ganglionectomy (SCG) on anosmia, which is peripherally induced in the mice. Materials and Method:Three groups of mice (BCF1) were studied:normal control (nasal instillation of saline, n=6);zinc sulfate group (nasal instillation of 64 mM zinc sulfate, n=25);SCG group (superior cervical ganglionectomy after nasal instillation of 64 mM zinc sulfate, n=25). Tissues of olfactory mucosa were obtained at 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7 weeks after instillation of zinc sulfate, and processed for immunohistochemistry using antisera to olfactory marker protein (OMP) to evaluate the olfactory regeneration. Results:No OMP-positive cells were observed in the first two weeks after the instillation of zinc sulfate in both zinc sulfate group and the SCG group. However, the OMP-positive cells appeared first at 3 weeks after the instillation in both groups, and gradually increased in number at 4 and 7 weeks. In the SCG group, the increase of OMP-positive cells was significantly greater than those of the zinc sulfate group. The number of OMPpositive cells in the SCG group at 7 weeks was almost similar to that of the normal control group. Conclusion:SCG enhances regeneration of olfactory receptor cells at 3 weeks after injury. It was inferred from the above results that SCG has a significant effect on the regeneration of olfactory receptor cells and we suggest that SCG could be an effective treatment modality for olfactory dysfunction.

This study make up the trilateral cored net be highly precise in the trilateral net, as one objective site selection. A accuracy of the value of sine length compared the value by computer programming in measured sine length by electro-optical system. This thesis was mane a comparative study of triateration with triangulation. As a result: 1) Three sine cored net is highly accuracy and fundamental form,for it is satisfied with the condition of angle and area. 2) It will be practical that triateration which triangulation station be selected by measure the sine length only, because the sine length be measured more highly accuracy than the angle. 3) The quantity of calculate process is abundant. Therefor process by computer is more effect than calculator.

Digital Elevation Model(DEM) depicts topographical features into math model. When a basic data is interpolated, the selective methods of reference points are of importance in accuracy of DEM. The purpose of this study is to study the construction of DEM efficiently in the selection of reference points, by analyzing of difference between the accuracy using the only number of reference points and that using the irregularly arranged average distance of reference points applied with the number of reference points together. After digital-tested it shows that the latter is higher than the former, namely, the selective method of reference points using the latter is the efficient construction of DEM.

In this study, an accuracy of earthwork volume is evaluated according to different methods of the calculation with different criteria. The criteria applied to this study are a interpolation method, a grid intervals and the method of earthwork evaluation. A numerical test has performed on two different terrain two different grid intervals. The average end area method,middle area method, prismoidal method, and Symposia's formulas are applied to the calculation of the earthwork volume. In addition, the interpolation has made according to the first order moving average technique. As a result of this study, it is showed that the moving average method with the first order term gives the most accurate result in interpolation, and that also the prismoidal method and Symposia's formulas gives more accurate result than the average end area method and middle area method in the calculation of earthwork volume.
