Saos-2 세포에서 Doxorubicin에 의한 세포사멸 유도과정에서의 유전자 발현 변화

Background: Doxorubicin has proved to be a useful chemotherapeutic agent especially for osteogenic sarcoma. It induces cancer cell death via apoptosis. Materials and Methods: To explore and analyze the change of gene expression during doxorubicin induced apoptosis on human osteogenic sarcoma, Saos-2 cell cDNA microarray was performed. After treatment with doxorubicin, total RNA was purified and expressed genes were investigated with a 17k human cDNA micoarray. Results: For analysis of the cDNA micoarray, the genes were filtered using the sum of the median value of Cy2 and Cy5 signal intensity of greater than 800. Expression of 264 genes was changed by more than 2 fold, and the expression of 35 genes was changed more than 3 fold after treatment with doxorubicin. The genes were primarily related to cell death, cell growth and maintenance, signal transduction, cellular component, transport, and metabolism. Conclusion: Treatment with doxorubicin induced expressional change of many genes. Some of the genes might be related with apoptosis directly or indirectly. Further study is now needed to characterize these genes.
생산시스템과 생산전략유형의 적합성 : 개념적 모형 A Concepual Model

생산전략과 생산시스템 사이에는 일정한 연계가 있으며 양자간의 적합여부는 기업성과에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 생각되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 몇 가지 전략변수를 매개로 하 하여 생산시스템과 생산전략의 적합관계를 결정하는 상황론적 통합모델을 구성하였다. 이를 위하여 생산시스템은 공정유연성과 제품집중성, 생산전략은 제품수량, 제품다양성, 혁신성을 기준으로 하여 각각 여섯 가지로 분류하였다. 이와 같은 적합성모델은 생산시스템과 생산전략의 대응관계가 기업성과에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 실증연구의 개념적 틀을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

In other to produce vinegar using Schizandru chinensis Ballon(omija), acetic acid bacteria(AAB) were selected from several conventional vinegars, and total 30 acetic acid bacterial strains were isolated. Among the isolated strains, a strain was selected from medium containing omija juice which showed the highest productivity of acetic acid. The strain was identified as Acetobucter sp. C5-1b. Optimum conditions for acetic acid production of Acetobacter sp. C5-1b were involved with 30℃ of fermentation temperature and shaking culture. The acidity of culture medium was reached to 5.3% after 8 days shaking cultivation at 30℃.

Database design is the base of the entire process related to the database, and the well-designed database schema has a great effect on the system performance. So, there's a growing need for the automatic schema generation system. In this paper, database design automation system is implemented which translates automatically OMT based database model to relational database table. For developing this system, transformation rules of OMT into RDB schema are suggested which satisfy normalization and integrity constraints. This automation system can be used efficiently in the area of training database system and applying database design in actual business fields.

This study is to analyze the physics textbooks of Korea and Japan comparatively. The conclusions are as follows: The textbooks in Korea are consisted of two parts; physics I and Ⅱ chapters, while the textbooks in Japan are only one book with four chapters. The chapter of 'Force and Motion' is dominant in contents of the textbooks in Korea, while 'Electromagnetism' occupies the most part in Japan. For the textbooks in Korea the chapter of 'Modem physics' is 24.6% of all contents in the number of experiments, but the experiments are not shown in 'Modern Physics' for the Japanese textbooks. The number of photographs per page in Japan is slightly more than in Korea, but the number of figure, graph, table, problem, and experiments per page in Korea prevail the ones of Japan. In analyzing the physics textbooks of Korea and Japan comparodively, the Korean textbooks give much emphasis on 'Force and Motion' basis of physics, and on 'Modern physics', applied physics, while Japan has had a film basis of developing the electronic industry by emphasizing 'Electromagnetism' and 'Force and Motion' in their textbooks.

Background: This study was conducted to analyze the current problems in completing death certificates and to identify the correct method for completing death certificates Methods: We reviewed 262 death certificates in three hospitals from March 1 to April 30, 2000, and 119 death certificates in one hospital from March 1 to 31, 2000. We identified major and minor errors and analyzed and compared them retrospectively. Results: A total of 381 death certificates were reviewed: 59 in Seoul National University Hospital,101 in Ewha Woman's University Hospital, and 102 in Gachon Medical College Hospital, which has no education program for completing death certificates in postgraduate training, and 119 in Samsung Medical Center which has an education program for completing death certificates. 358 certificates(94.0%) had at least one error. There were only 23 death certificates(6.0%) without an error. In 182 cases(47.8%), there was one major error. In 321 death certificates(84.3%), there were more than two errors. A comparison of Samsung Medical Center with the other hospitals showed that the number of total errors was statistically different(p=0.001). Conclusion: There were few death certificates without an error in this study. In a hospital which has postgraduate training in completing death certificates, there are fewer errors than in other hospitals which have no training course. Emergency physicians actually certify many deaths, so they must know the correct method of completing death certificates for statistics on morbidity and mortality.
유한세프라딘 캅셀(세프라딘 500 mg)에 대한 브로드세프 캅셀의 생물학적 동등성

Cepharadine is a first generation cephalosporin and has broad spectrum antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, through inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cephradine is useful for treatment of infections of the urinary and respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequinalence of two cepharadine capsules, Cefradine Yuhan (Yuhan Corporation) and Broadcef (Ilsung Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). The cephradine release from the two cephradine capsules ?? was tested using KP Ⅶ Apparatus Ⅱ method with various different kinds of dissolution media (pH 1.2, 4.0, 6.8 buffer solution and water). Twenty normal male volunteers, 23.10±2.90 years in age and 67.69±8.04 ㎏ in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was employed. After one capsule containing 500 ㎎ as cephradine was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of cepharadine in serum were determined using HPLC method with UV detector. The dissolution profiles of two cephradine capsules were very similar at all dissolution media. Besides, the phaemacokinetic parameters such as AUC_t, C_max and T_max were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC_t and C_max and untransformed T_max. The results showed that the differences in AUC_t, C_max and T_max between two capsules based on the Cefradine Yuhan were -2.87%, -0.96% and -4.85%, respectively. There were no sequence effects between two capsules in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically transformed data were within the acceptance range of log(0.8) to log(1.25) (e.g., log(0.93)∼log(1.02) and log(0.88)∼log(1.13) for AUC_t, and C_max, respectively). the 90% confidence interval using untransformed data was within ±20% (e.g., -17.54∼7.78 for T_max). All parameters met the criteria of KFDA guideline for bioequivalence, indicating that Broadcef capsule is bioequivalent to Cefradine Yuhan capsule.
