        Acoustic Change Complex: Clinical Implications

        The acoustic change complex (ACC) is a cortical auditory evoked potential elicited in response to a change in an ongoing sound. The characteristics and potential clinical implications of the ACC are reviewed in this article. The P1-N1-P2 recorded from the auditory cortex following presentation of an acoustic stimulus is believed to reflect the neural encoding of a sound signal, but this provides no information regarding sound discrimination. However, the neural processing underlying behavioral discrimination capacity can be measured by modifying the traditional methodology for recording the P1-N1-P2. When obtained in response to an acoustic change within an ongoing sound, the resulting waveform is referred to as the ACC. When elicited, the ACC indicates that the brain has detected changes within a sound and the patient has the neural capacity to discriminate the sounds. In fact, results of several studies have shown that the ACC amplitude increases with increasing magnitude of acoustic changes in intensity, spectrum, and gap duration. In addition, the ACC can be reliably recorded with good test-retest reliability not only from listeners with normal hearing but also from individuals with hearing loss, hearing aids, and cochlear implants. The ACC can be obtained even in the absence of attention, and requires relatively few stimulus presentations to record a response with a good signal-to-noise ratio. Most importantly, the ACC shows reasonable agreement with behavioral measures. Therefore, these findings suggest that the ACC might represent a promising tool for the objective clinical evaluation of auditory discrimination and/or speech perception capacity.

        반응결합 질화수소의 소결시 규소의 거동에 관한 연구

        To investigate the effects of unreacted silicon on the $\alpha$/$\beta$transfornation variation of morphology and mechanical strength of Sintered Reaction Bonded Silicon Nitride the mixtures of $\alpha$-$Si_3N_4$ and Si powder and Reaction Bonded Silicon Nitride were heat treated. The heat-treatments were performed in Ar atmosphere in order to inhibit the nitridation of silicon. In the mixtures heat-trated at 1$700^{\circ}C$ the amount of $\beta$-$Si_3N_4$transformed from $\alpha$-$Si_3N_4$was sigmoidally increased and the equiaxed $\alpha$-$Si_3N_4$grains elongated with the amount of silicon and heat treating time. And large $\beta$-$Si_3N_4$grains grown into silicon were observed. On the other hand there was no change in the heat-treatment of pure $\alpha$-$Si_3N_4$In case of the heat-treatment of RBSN the same phenomena due to the silicon appearing from the decomposition of $\alpha$-Smatte and needle were observed. From the three point bending test the strength of the sintered specimens with the and without 5wt% silicon addition had 53Kg/$mm^2$ and 73Kg/$mm^2$ respectively.

        星湖 李瀷의 詩 創作論 硏究 : 梅花詩를 中心으로

        The trend of Lee-Ik’s literature is base on traditional ethics. It is about suggesting moral that represent the moral philosophy which part of the doctrines of Chu-tzu(朱子學). So he thought that this trend could give a lot of influence to politics, diplomacy and edification and reflect the participation will to realize the utopia. It also have an effect to Korea. Lee-Ik’s literary creation theory doesn’t emphasize practicality of literature. It emphasizes introspection in depth. ‘The core of his literary creation theory is creativity, artistry and realism. It is a vital element to poet that give a meaning to a ward. Lee-Ik appreciate creative poem that doesn’t plagiarize and have individuality. He points out copying other’s poem and insists to give a new meaning to a ward. There are 10 titles and 30 poems of Lee-Ik’s in [Korean collection of literary works]. In order to clearly emphasize the feature of subject matters in the ume flower poem, he didn’t arrange subject matters flat. He wanted contrasting effect by standing in a row of distinct color and similar objects. Moreover he used allegory that is a poem in which the characters and events are symbols of something else. Lee-Ik assumes a positive attitude toward adaptation that one of the imitation method.

        Gottlieb Groups and Subgroups of the Group of Self-Homotopy Equivalences

        mathcal{E}(X) consisting of homotopy classes of self-homotopyequivalences that fix homotopy groups through the dimension of X andmathcal{E}_*(X) be the subgroup of mathcal{E} (X) that fix homologygroups for all dimension.In this paper, we establish some connections between the homotopy group of Xand the subgroup mathcal{E}_#(X)cap mathcal{E}_*(X) ofmathcal{E}(X).We also give some relations between pi_n (W),as well as a generalized Gottlieb group G_n^f(W,X),and a subset mathcal{M}{_{#}^f}_N (X, W) of [X, W]. Finally weestablish a connection between the coGottlieb group of X andthe subgroup of mathcal{E}(X) consisting of homotopy classes of self-homotopyequivalences that fix cohomology groups.

        디지털방송 기술의 발달로 상당히 많은 대역폭을 데이터 전송에 할당할 수 있다. 이러한 디지털 방송이 본격화 되면 기존의 아날로그 방송과는 달리 영상과 음성정보에 추가하여 데이터를 전송할 수 있으며, 여기에 주변 기기 및 리턴 채널을 이용한 대화형 TV를 구현할 수 있다. 일반적인 대화형 TV의 지상파 및 케이블 방송의 매체별 현황, 세계적인 규격 활동 및 그 특징을 파악하고 향후 발전 방향에 대해서도 논의 하고자 한다. 아울러 앞으로 대화형 TV에 적용 가능한 여러 가지 어플리케이션에 대해서도 논의를 하였으며, 각 업체들의 현황 및 특징도 나열하였다. 아울러 데이터 방송을 구현하는데 있어 업계의 개발상에 있어서의 여러 가지 특이 사항에 대해서도 분석하고자 한다. 이러한 대화형 TV의 발전은 앞으로의 방송 문화에도 상당히 많은 변화를 불러 일으키며, 기타 방송에 관련된 산업 전반의 발전에 기여할 것이다.

        $Si_3N_4$-Zr(Y)$O_2$ 복합체의 열처리에 따른 상분석 및 파괴인성

        The reaction product between Si3N4 and ZrO2 has been studied by heat treatment of Si3N4-Zr(Y)O2 composite in high vacuum(<10-5 torr) and in air at $700^{\circ}C$. ZrN was formed after heat treatment in vacuum and easily oxidized after heat treatment in air. The amount of ZrN is related to the Y2O3 content dissolved in ZrO2. After the heat treatment in air the toughness increased and the spalling due to the oxidation of ZrN in specimen surface was observed. As a result, it is suggested that the formation of ZrN phase in Si3N4-ZrO2 composite enhance the toughness of the composite in an oxidation conditon.
