        The Dolby AC-3 decoder is an audio compression format widely used in DVD and DTV. The AC-3 offers 5 channels, 48KHz and 384Kbps. AC-3 required high performance PC and high performance processing power, Intel's MMXTM technology provides instructions that can significantly speed up the execution of the Dolby AC-3 decoder. This paper describes method of using MMXTM technology.

      • 6·13 지방선거에 대한 유권자 의식과 평가 : 대구·경산지역의 설문조사를 중심으로

        이번 민선3기 지방선거는 여느 때와 달리 월드컵이라는 국제행사와 맞물려 유권자들의 투표율이 50%미만으로 관심이 매우 저조하였고, 지방선거에 대한 비관론이 대두되고 있는 가운데 바람직한 선거문화정착과 바람직한 후보자를 결정하는 것은 지방자치발전의 중요한 과제라 할 수 있다. 이러한 의미에서 본 연구는 6.13지방선거에 대한 유권자들의 의식을 평가하고 향후 지방선거의 발전성향을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 이해 본 연구는 이번 2002년 6월 13일 실시된 지방선거에 관한 유권자들의 의식을 질문지를 통해 조사하고 분석하였다. 분석결과 이번 6.13 지방선거에 대한 유권자들의 의식은 전체적으로 지방정치와 지방선거 관심이 저조한 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 원인은 여러 가지로 분석할 수 있으나 유권자의 무관심과 후보자들의 자질, 여러 가지 상황적 변수들이 복합적으로 나타난 결과라 할 수 있다. 유권자들의 선거에 대한 태도는 과거 여느때 보다 소극적이었으며, 결정시기와 결정방법에 있어서도 적극적인 참여가 부족하였다. 또한 6.13지방선거에서의 전체적인 유권자의 만족도는 낮게 나타났으며, 선거의 공정성, 주민참여정도, 법규준수정도, 관건개입정도는 지난 지방선거과 비교하여 낮거나 보통인 것으로 나타났다. 이는 지방선거에 대한 중요성을 일반 유권자들이 인식하지 못하고 있는 것으로 생각된다. 또한 지방선거에서의 문제점의 하나로 드러난 월드컵이라는 국제적 행사와 겹쳐 선거의 소홀로 나타난 지방정치에 대한 무관심은 앞으로 선거일정을 조정하는데 하나의 시준점을 삼아야 할 것이다.

      • 건축설계 교육을 위한 하이퍼미디어 지원 지능형 교습시스템(ITS)의 적용방법에 관한 연구

        본 연구의 최종목적은 하이퍼미디어 기법을 이용하여 건축학과 학생들의 설계교육에 필요한 제이론과 실습과정을 학습할 수 있도록 하이퍼미디어 지원 지능형 교습시스템(ITS)을 개발하는 것이다. 본 논문은 이를 위한 기초단계로서 먼저 건축설계 교육에 있어서 이론적 체계화 하이퍼미디어 지원 교습시스템에 적합한 영역구조를 구상해 보았다. 또한 적용방법의 기술적 환경으로서 CAI와 하이퍼텍스트의 개념과 구성 및 역할을 살펴보았으며, 하이퍼텍스트 개념을 적용한 원형모델을 구축하여 건축설계 교육을 위한 ITS 개발의 방법론적 형태를 고찰하였다. 앞으로 건축설계교육을 위한 ITS의 개발을 위해서는 타당성 검증을 통한 체계적인 건축설계교육안의 개발과 이에 적절한 ITS 프로그램 개발이 연구되어야 할 것으로 본다. The purpose of the study was to develope ITS for architectural design education by applying hypertext concept. For the purposes, this paper was the first step for applying architectural design education, dealed with the applicative method. The researchers trided to idealize the situable domain of architectural design education. Then, the researchers studied the concept of CAI and the composition of hypertext, moreover studied the applicative method for ITS development and built a prototype model to apply hypertext concept for architectural design education. The research is needed the development of the systamatic education model and the proper ITS program through a inspection of the propriety.

        olanzapin과 Risperidone의 급성 및 만성 투여기가 흰쥐 전전두피질의 Dopamine 농도에 미치는 영향

        항정신병약물들이 전전두피질의 세포외 dopamine 농도에 미치는 영향은 이 약물들의 음성 증상에 대한 효과와 관련이 있는 것으로 보고 되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 최근 국내에서 많이 사용되고 있는 olanzapine과 risperidone을 흰쥐에 급성 및 만성 투여를 한 후, 이들 약물들이 전전두피질의 세포외 dopamine 농도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 샘플은 생체 내 뇌 미세투석법(in vivo brain microdialysis)을 이용하여 얻었고 샘플내 dopamine의 농도는 전기화학적 검출법(electrochemical detection : ECD)을 사용하는 고압액체크로마토그라피(high pressure liquid chromatography : HPLC)로 측정하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) Olanzapine과 risperidone의 급성 투여는 전전두피질 부취의 세포외 dopamine 농도를 증가시켰으며 증가의 정도는 용량 의존적이었다. 2) Olanzapine과 risperidone의 급성 투여에 의해 전전두피질 부위에 나타난 세포외 dopamine 농도의 최고치는 두 약물간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 3) Olanzapine과 risperidone의 만성 투여는 전전두피질 부위의 세포외 dopamine 농도를 증가시켰으나 그 증가의 정도가 급성 투여에 비해 모두 감소하는 내성 현상이 보였다. 4) Olanzapine과 risperidone의 만성 투여에 의해 전전두피질 부위에 나타나는 세포외 dopamine 농도의 최고치는 olanzapine과 risperidone에 비해 유의하게 높았다. 이상의 결과들은 Olanzapine과 risperidone의 음성 증상에 대한 임상적 효과가 이들 약물이 전전두피질의 세포외 dopamine 농도를 증가시키는 효과와 관견이 있음을 제시한다. Object : It is reported that the effect of antipsychotics on the extracellular dopamine levels in the prefrontal cortex is related to the their effect on the negative symptoms. Therefore, we investigated the acute and chronic effects of olanzapine and risperidone on the extracellular dopamine concentrations in the prefrontal cortex of rat. Samples were obtained using in vivo brain microdialysis. Method : Dopamine levels in the samples were measured by high pressure liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection. Results : 1) Both the acute treatment of olanzapine and risperidone increased the extracellular dopamine concentrations in the prefrontal cortex, dose-dependently. 2) There was a no significant difference in the maximal change of the extracellular dopamine concentrations in the prefrontal cortex induced by the acute treatment of olanzapine and risperidone. 3) Both the chronic treatment of olanzapine and risperidone also increased the extracellular dopamine concentrations in the prefrontal cortex, but they showed the tolerance effect that the degree of increase was smaller than that of the acute treatment. 4) As for the maximal changes of the extracellular dopamine concentrations in the prefrontal cortex induced by the chronic treatment of planzapine and risperidone, the effect of the former was greater than that of the latter. Conclusion : These results suggest that the effects of olanzapine and risperdone on the negative symptoms are related to the increased extracellular dopamine concentrations in the prefrontal cortex induced by these drugs.

      • Co(Ⅲ)/Co(Ⅱ) 및 Fe(Ⅲ)/Fe(Ⅱ) 산화환원계에 의한 폴리에틸렌글리콜류의 매개전해산화

        Mediated electrochemical oxidation (MEO) is an aqueous process which oxidizes organics electrochemically at low temperatures and ambient pressures. The process can be used to treat mixed wastes containing hazardous organics. This paper has studied MEO of polyethylene glycols (PEGs) in nitric acids by Fe/Fe(Ⅱ) and Co/Co(Ⅱ) system. It is investigated current density, supporting electrolyte concentration, hydraulic retention time, removal efficiency by PEGs continuous MEO. Removal efficiency of PEGs, electrical charge and reaction time by mediated electrochemical oxidation was excellent in Co/Co(Ⅱ) redox system than Fe/Fe(Ⅱ) redox system, indicating mediated electrochemical oxidation removal efficiency was 100 percent.

        정신보건관련시설 입원(소)자의 주요 정신장애 유병률 : 전국 20개 시설의 입원(소)자를 대상으로

        Objectives : One of the objectives of this study is to estimate the prevalence rates of psychiatric diagnoses in the combined populations of psychiatric hospitals, psychiatric nursing facilities and homeless asylums using the Korean version of the Composite International Diagnostic Interview (K-CIDI), which is a comprehensive and fully standardized interview schedule to assess psychiatric disorders for diagnosis. The Other objective is to compare with previously studied prevalence rates of Psy-chiatric diagnoses using the results of this study. Methods : The study subjects, aged from 181o 64 years, were randomly selected from 64,582 institutionalized population of psychiatric hospitals, Psychiatric nursing facilities and homeless asylums as of 30, June, 2001. Twelve trained interviewers administered the K-CIDI to the selected respondents. A total of 1,875 respondents (male 1,194, female 681) completed the interview. Results : The lifetime and one year prevalences of any diagnosis excluding nicotine dependence · withdrawal, anxiety disorder, eating disorder, somatoform disorder were 88.2% (male 88.1%, female 88.3%), and 65.8% (male 62.7%, female 73.7%), respectively. The lifetime and one year prevalences of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders were 78.5% (male 75.3%, female 83.7%), and 56.8% (male 51.9%, female 64.8%), respectively. The lifetime and one year prevalences of alcohol use disorder (dependence/abuse) were 26.7% (male 37.9%, female 8.3%), and 8.7% (male 12.8%, female 2.1%), respectively. The lifetime and one year prevalences of mood disorder were 18.1% (male 13.5%, female 25.8%), and 10.4% (male 7.2%,female 16.9%), respectively. The lifetime and one year prevalences of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders were comparable with the 2001 community survey by 1.19% to 1.32%, and 0.51% to 0.61%, respectively. The lifetime and one year prevalences of schizophrenia were also comparable by 0.16% to 0.28%, and 0.16% to 0.25%, respectively. There were no significant changes of prevalence rates when correction were applied to other psychiatric diagnosis. Conclusion : The results of this study could be used for evaluating the distribution of psychiatric diagnoses in mental health related facilities and for planning mental health policies.

        Hemostasis and a clear surgical field are obtained by the local infiltration of a local anesthetic mixed with epinephrine during tonsillectomy. However, epinephrine may in itself, due to its cardiovascular effect, cause arrhythmia, heart failure, Pulmonary edema, and even cardiac arrest. We describe a 22-year-old patient who developed cardiac arrest due to epinephrine infiltration during tonsillectomy. The patient was resuscitated and recovered without any sequele after intensive treatment.

      • 대전지역 공동주택의 급수설비 현황과 개선방안에 대한 조사연구 : 수질분야를 중심으로 focused on Water Quality

        The requirements of this safe drinking water impose an additional burden on the water treatment works in that it requires that the quality regulations be met at the consumer's tap-not at the treatment plant. This means that it is essential that the water reach the consumer with the same quality it had at the point of entry to the distribution system. This study was conducted to survey the adaptability that the effluent water qualities from distribution system, especially, in the extra city water facilities of the apartment complex met the regulation of drinking water qualities. The sampling points of water quality analysis were basement storage tank, high tank and tap. 46 apartment complexes (those were constructed before 1990 in Taejoeon) were surveyed and the survey results as follows: 1) The water quality of the influent to extra city water facilities met the regulations of drinking water quality. 2) Ferric ion and residual chloride concentration were the major factor that effected the water quality of tap water. Increased ferric ion concentration due to pipe corrosion and decreased residual chloride concentration due to oxidation of organics deteriorate the water quality of drinking water. 3) The longer the pipe length of extra city water facilities, the higher the ferric ion concentrations of tap water. The relationship between pipe length and ferric ion concentration was revealed as following formular. y = 0.0007X - 0.0056. (r² = 0.5744) 4) The average water qualities of tap water in this survey were 7.07 pH, 50.5 mg/L hardness, 0.178 NTU turbidity, 1.38 mg/L KMnO4 consumption rate, 0.043 mg/L ferric oin, 0.11 mg/L residual chloride and non detectable E. coli concentration. 5) The water quality of tap in this study were satisfied the regulation of drinking water quality in all its aspects. But, it needs to be concerned about that the variations of ferric ion and residual chloride concentration.

      • 대전지역 공동주택의 급수설비현황과 개선방안에 대한 조사연구 : 급수설비 시스템을 중심으로 In case of Plumbing system

        Recently, many peoples have been concerned about the drinking water as the quality of life improves and the interest in health grows. One of the complaints in apartments is the water quality. Therefore, this study is to investigate the corroison state of galvanized steel pipe that is used for drinking water and the extra city water facilities those are basement storage tank, high thnk, pumping system, piping system etc. In this paper 227 apartment complexes (those were constructed before'1990 in Taejon) are selected and then the following survey procedures are executed. 1) 1st questionnaire investigation : The problems of pumping system, equipments, managing and using. 2) 2nd investigation : Water rate and water pressure in individual household. Management state and superannuation of piping, storage tank, pumping and piping systems. 3) 3rd investigation : Corroison rate and corrison product of pipe. Clogging rate of pipe. As a results, 60% of surveyed households are drinking the city water and 66% of highest floor households are complaining the lack of water rate and water pressure, 50% of complexes are unsuitable shape of storage tanks. Corroison rates of pipe are not proportioned to the age of use. The more carbon components of pipe increase the more corroison grows.
