      • 種實油脂의 貯藏安定性에 關한 硏究

        In order to investigate the storage stability of seed oils, such as perilla oil, sesame oil, rapeseed oil and peanut oil, the oil seeds and seed oils were stored for 40 days at room temperature(20°-30℃), 4℃ and -20℃, respectively, than the acid value, peroxide value, TBA value and iodine value of the oil and oil extracted from the stored seeds, were determined. The results were as follows; Acid value, peroxide value and TBA value of these oils were increased sharply during storage at room temperature. Among seed oils, perilla oil was least stable and peanut oil was most stable. The oils extracted from stored seeds were more stable than the stored oils, thus the patterns of oxidation of the oils, extracted from stored seeds at room temperature, were same as that of oils. stored at -4℃. Generally, the quality of seed oils could be preserved when the crude seed oils were stored at the temperature below -20℃ and oils seeds at 4℃, respectively.

      • 이중음소 모델에 기초한 대용량 음성인식

        본 논문에서는 문맥 종속형 유사음소 단위 모델에 기반한 대용량 어휘인식에 관한 실험을 수행하였다. 한국어의 발음 및 음운 특성을 고려하여 선정한 50개의 단일 유사음소 모델로부터 총 593개의 이중음소(diphone)를 구성하여 인식의 기본단위로 설정하혔다. 유사 음소 및 언어 모델 데이타베이스로부터 발음사전을 구성하고 기본단위 인식시 탐색 공간을 줄이고 성능을 향상시키기 위해 bigram을, 구문단위로 분할한 문장인식에 대해서는 unigram을 적용하였다. 실험 결과, 유사음소단위 인식에서는 69.16%의 인식률을, 문장인식을 거친 최종 인식률은 87.36%의 성능을 나타내었다. In this paper, We studied and carried out an experiment on speech recognition of large vocabulary based on diphones. We set up 593 diphones for basic PLUs from 50 phonemes considering pronunciation and phonemic characteristic of Korean language and constructed the lexicon from the database of phoneme and language models. Bigram was applied to recognition of PLUs to reduce search space and increase efficiency of recognition and unigram was applied to language model divided by phrase. As a result, experiment about the sentence recognition shows that diphone models would have 9.14% better performance than monophones.

        7종 야생초의 식용화를 위한 조리방법에 관한 연구 : 관능검사를 중심으로

        The object of this study was investigation of the appreciable cooking condition in seven wild grasses, an evening primerose(Oenothera lamarckiana Seringe, S₁), a spiderwort(Commelina Communis L. S₂), the flower of a convolvulus(Calystegia Ja-ponica form Vulgaris gaea, S₃), So Ru Jaeng Yi(Portulaca Oleracea, S₄), Shoe Bi Rum(Portulacae Oleracea L, S_5), O Yi Pul(Sanguisorb aOfficinalis, S_6), Jip Sin Na Mul(Agrimonia poisa var. Japonica Nakai, S_7), in order to find out the importance as an useful vegetable. In this work 7 wild grasses with different soaking solutions and boiling conditions were examined to investigation the preference factors by sensory evaluation. Results of sensory evaluation for samples showed a significant difference at 1% and 5% level There were high significant differents in samples boiled for different time about astringent taste, bitter taste, perfume, green color and grassy smell at 1% and 5% level. In cooking methods of 7 samples, Namul was liked best and Guk, Salad and Fritter were followed. The condiments which were used for seasoning Namul were Gochujang, Soy Paste, Salt. Gochujang was most preferred.

      • 상엽 추출물을 이용한 항당뇨 음료의 개발(Ⅰ) : 상엽 추출물의 제제화 탐색 Screening of the Manufacturing of Mulberry Leaf Extract

        Mulberry leaves arc believed to be a potent inhibitor of intestinal α-glycosidase and the digestion of sucrose in the small intestine. Mulberry leaves are also known to help prevent the postprandial hyperglycemia. The objective of this study was to elucidate the functionality and anti-hyperglycemic effect of mulberry leaves, and to develop a functional drink using mulberry leaf, silk peptide and oriental medicine. Several mixtures of mulberry leaf extract, silk peptide and oriental medicine were made for the purpose of manufacture and formulation of products. These mixtures were tested to check the α-glycosidase inhibition effect to find the best formula. The optimum conditions for a mulberry leaf hot water extract were that the size of leaf was under 3㎜, the amount of leaf needed 50~100 g/L, extraction temperature 90℃ and extraction time 2 hr. The yield of extraction was 20~25%. The anti-hyperglycemic effect of mulberry leaves was at maximum when the concentrations of mulberry leaf extract and silk peptide were 1% and 0.1% respectively.

      • 자기공명영상을 이용한 정신분열병 환자의 뇌량크기 측정

        Objectives : Nowadays many studies with MRI have reported structurai abnormalltles of corpus callosum of schizophrenic patients. However, the results are various and inconstant. In this study, we attempted to identify structural change of C O ~ U S cailosurn. Method : We measured the size of corpus callosum of the 24 schizophrenia patients (male 11, female 18) who were diagnosed by DSM-IV (19943, visited at department of psychiatry, catholic university hospital of Daegu from January 2002 to December 2003, by using midline sagittal slice of MRI. These results were compared with the size of corpus callosum of 25 controls (male 7, female 78). We divided corpus callosurn into 7 areas. We calculated and compared the areas of each subregion, mid-sagittal cerebral area, and entire corpus callosum. The results were analyzed by independent t-test. Result :When we compared subregion to corpus callosum adjusted wth mid-sagittal cerebral area, schlzoph-renia patients had significantly smaller genu (1.64k0.32 vs. 1.43k0.26 p<O.O5) and splenium (2.16f0.27 VS. 1.96+0.30 ; ~(0.05). Similarly, the ratio of total corpus callosum to midline sagittal cerebral area (%)(7.50*0.72 vs. 6.90t0.82 ~(0.05) was significantly smaller In schizophrenia than control group. Conclusion : In this study, we found significant differences in corpus callosum between schizophrenic patients and normal control group.

        This study was conducted to investigate the nutritional composition of several vegetables, such as green pepper, squash, cucumber, tomato, perilla leaves, lettuce, Chinese cabbage, radish leaves and roots which were grown in vinylhouse. Proximate components and vitamins, such as thiamin, riboflavin and ascorbic acid of these vegetables were determind. Generally, vinyl house-grown vegetables showed high moisture and minerals and low protein, fat, sugar and fiber than field grown vegetables. On the other hand, vitamin contents showed different pattern depending on the kind of vegetables.

      • 동자개(Pseudobagrus fulvidraco)의 난모세포 성숙과 배란에 대한 스테로이드와 HCG의 in vitro효과

        The aim of this study was to determine the effect of steroids and human chorionic gonadotropin(HCG) on in vitro maturation and ovulation of oocyte in Pseudobagrus fulvidraco. Oocytes were incubated in the media Leibovitz L15 supplemented with the various concentration of 17α, 20β-dihydroxy-4-pregnen-3-one (17α20βOHP), 17α-hydroxyprogesterone (17αOHP), progesterone(P₄), estradiol-17β(E₂)and HCG. After 60 hours incubation, the maturation ability of oocyte was assessed by the appearance of germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD). GVBD was significantly enhanced by the addition of 17α20βOHP, 17αOHP, P₄and HCG(P$lt;0.05). The highest GVBD was observed when 17α20βOHP and HCG were supplemented to media. When oocytes were cultured for 16hours in media containing 10∼1,000 ng/ml 17α20βOHP, 17αOHP and P₄, the rate of GVBD in oocytes cultured in the medium supplemented with 100ng/ml 17α20βOHP (65%) was significantly higher than that with 17αOHP(40%) and P₄(35%). The effects of 17α20βOHP and HCG on GVBD were assessed by various concentration of these hormones. When oocytes were cultured for 60 hours in various media containing 1∼1,000 ng/ml 17α20βOHP or 5∼1,000 IU/ml HCG, the GVBD of oocytes was significantly increased in the medium with 10∼100 ng/ml 17α20βOHP and 500 IU/ml HCG. When oocytes were cultured in the various media supplemented 1∼1,000 ng/ml 17α20βOHP or 5∼1,000 IU/ml HCG for 60 hours, the media with 1∼100 ng/ml 17α20βOHP or 50∼1,000 IU/ml HCG significantly increased in the rate of ovulation. However supplementation with 1,000 ng/ml 17α20βOHP or 5 IU/ml HCG did not improve the rate of ovulation compared to controls. This results indicate that supplementation of steroid and HCG except E₂can improve the in vitro maturation and ovulation of oocyte in P. fulvidraco; HCG and 17α20βOHP may be more effective than other steroids on oocyte maturation and ovulation in P. fulvidraco.

      • 방사선에 노출된 환자에 발생한 갑상선결절의 세침흡인세포학적 소견

        배경 : 두경부의 각종 질환치료에 사응되는 방사선 조사는 갑상선암종의 발생위험을 높이고, 여러 가지 세포학적 변화를 초래한다고 잘 알려져 있다. 그러나, 대부분의 보고는 임상적, 방사선학적 및 병리학적 소견에 집중되고 세침흡인 세포학적 소견의 보고는 없는 실정이다. 이에 저자들은 세포학적소견을 절제생검된 조직과 연계하여 문헌고찰과함께 보고한다. 방법 : 세침흡인 세포검사는 초음파 유도하에 이루어졌고, 이어 시행된 절제 생검조직을 세침흡인 세포학적 소견에 바탕하여 고찰하였다. 결과 : 환자는 55세 여자로 21개월전에 진단된 혀의 편평세포암종으로 화학요법과 방사선요법을 받았으며, 내원 14개월전에 치료를 마쳤다. 또한 환자는 영아기에 흉선비데가 있어 방사선치료를 받은 과거력이 있다. 환자는 화학요법후 최근에 발생된 갑상선 기능저하증을 제외하고는 특별한 이상소견 없이 잘 지내왔다. 최근 갑상선 좌엽의 결절이 발견되어 세침흡인검사를 시행하였으며, 도말상 군집을 이루거나, 산재된 갑상선 여포세포들이 심한 세포학적 이형성을 보이며 관찰되었으나, 유사분열이나, 괴사의 소견은 없었다. 결론 : 세포학적 소견이 방사선조사에 의한 것에 부합되지만 여포병변의 가능성을 배제할 수 없어서 갑상선 전절제술을 시행하였는데, 피막에 잘 싸여진 여포선종이 관찰되었다. 그리고, 갑상선 전체에서 관찰되는 상피세포의 이형성은 악성변화와는 무관하며 방사선조사효과에 부합된다고 판단하였다. BACKGROUND. It is well known that any kind of radiation used to treat benign or malignant conditions in the head and neck area results in an increased risk of thyroid cancer and a cytomorphologic changes. Most of the reports have been described the clinical, radiological, and pathological features, but cytology of FNA has not. In the current study the authors report the cytologic findings in FNA specimens with literature review and attempt to correlate the cytologic features with the excisional biopsy findings. METHODS. FNA was performed with ultrasound guidance. Corresponding subsequent excisional biopsy tissue was reviewed in conjunction with the cytologic findings. RESULTS. A case of FNA cytologic atypia of the thyroid gland in radiation exposed patient. She is 55-year-old with history of a squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue, diagnosed in 21 months ago, and underwent chemotherapy, followed by radiation therapy, which was completed in 14 months ago. She also has a history of thymus enlargement in infancy, which was treated with radiation therapy. She has done well since chemotherapy except most recently developed hypothyroidism. She was found to have a left lobe thyroid nodule for which she has undergone fine needle aspiration. Smears showed clusters as well as scattered thyroid follicular cells with marked cytologic atypia. Areas with microfollicular arrangement and colloid were present. There was no evidence of mitosis or necrosis. CONCLUSION. Although the findings were compatible with radiation changes, the possibility of an underlying follicular lesion could not be excluded. She underwent total thyroidectomy and showed well-encapsulated follicular adenoma. The entire thyroid contained epithelial atypia consistent with radiation therapy effect.

      • 전침 자극에 의한 오디 괄약근 운동성 변화에 관한 연구

        Background/Aims: This study was designed to evaluated the effects of electroacupuncture on the sphincter of Oddi (SO) motility in humans and to correlate the manometric findings with plasma cholecystokinin (CCK) levels. Methods: Eleven patients (M: F= 5: 6) who had various kinds of biliary disorders were enrolled. SO motility was monitored with a conventional low-compliant continuously perfused technique using ERCP (n=9) or percutaneous transhepatic cholangioscope (n=2). After baseline monitoring for phasic wave contractions of SO, electroacupuncture was applied at a specific acupoint, GB 34, in these 11 patients. A nonspecific acupoint 5 cm away from GB 34 was selected as a control. Manometric parameters of SO were also checked in 6 subjects during stimulation of the control acupoint. CCK plasma levels were measured during the time course of electroacupuncture stimulation. Result: All the manometric parameters including the basal pressure of SO, amplitude, frequency and duration of phasic wave contraction of SO were significantly decreased (p< 0.05) during electroacupuncture stimulation. The inhibition of SO contractility was accompanied by increased CCK plasma levels. After removal of electroacupuncture stimulation, restoration of amplitude and duration to basal condition were noted. A tendency towards the return of SO contractility was also observed in basal pressure and frequency. Stimulation of the control acupoint, however, did not affect the SO contractility and plasma CCK levels. Conclusions: Electroacupuncture stimulation of acupoint GB 34 showed reversible inhibition of SO contraction in humans. We speculate that the response of SO to electroacupuncture stimulation may be mediated by some neurohormonal mechanisms including CCK release.
