매미나방(Lymantria dispar)유충의 발생단계에 따른 무기염류의 함량변화를 측정한 결과는 다음과 같다. Calcium은 암수 모두 용화 직전인 6령(VI,♂)과 7령(VII,♀)에서 최고함량을 나타내었다. Potassium은 암수 모두 4령(IV)에서 최고함량을 보였고 그후 점진적으로 감소하였다. Sodium은 암수 모두 ∧형의 변화양상을 나타냈으며 수컷은 4령(IV), 암컷은 5령(V)에서 최고 높게 나타났다. Magnesium은 수컷은 ∧형의 변화양상을 보여 4령(IV)에서 가장 높았으나, 암컷은 4령(IV)에서 높은 값을 보이다 5령(V)에서 감소하였고, 이후 증가하여 7령(VII)에서 가장 높았다. Zinc는 수컷은 4령(IV)에서 최고함량을 보인 반면 암컷은 4령(IV)에서 최저함량을 보여 대조적으로 나타났다. Phosphorus는 암수 모두 3령(III)에서 최고함량을 보였고 이후 감소하나 암컷은 7령(VII)에서 다시 증가하는 경향을 보였다. The concentrations of mineral salts were measured in gypsy moth, Lymantria dispar during the larval developmental stages. The calcium contents were found to be the maximum at last instar larvae in both sexes. The potassium contents reached the maximum value at 4th instar larvae in both sexes and decreased gradually to last instar larvae. The sodium contents showed a ∧ shaped curve during all stages, but were found to be the maximum value at 4th instar larvae in male and 5th instar in female. In the case of magnesium contents, the ∧ shaped curve emerged during all stages in male, but in female the maximum value showed at 7th instar larvae. The zinc contents were found to be the maximum at 4th instar larvae in male, while they were found to be the minimum value at 4th instar larvae in female. The phosphorus contents reached the maximum value at 3rd instar larvae in both sexes.

在來種 밤나무와 抵抗性 品種 밤나무에 기생하고 있는 밤나무혹벌의 JH titer를 比較, 測定한 結果는 다음과 같다. 1. JH titer는 在來種 밤나무에 寄生하는 것보다 抵抗性 品種 밤나무(축파, 단택)에 寄生하는 것에서 높았다. 2. 抵抗性 品種에 기생하는 밤나무 혹벌의 JH titer는 축파(35,800GU/g), 단택(30,900GU/g)순으로 나타났고, 다음 在來種에 寄生하는 것(28,600GU/g)으로 나타났다. 3. Galleria cuticle wax test 결과 양성반응은 축파(60.8%), 단택(63.9%), 在來種(59.0%)으로 나타났다. 4. Gas liquid chromatography에 의한 幼若호르몬의 분리, 측정에서는 JH-Ⅰ으로 同定되었다. The positive responses of Galleria cuticle wax test were showed Cheuk-Pa(60.8%), Dan-Tak(63.9%), and susceptible(59.0%) After precipitation at low temperature, the lipid is separated by thin layer chromatography, and identification of chestnut gall wasp JH by gas liquid chromatography was showed JH-Ⅰ.
밤바구미(Curculio dentipes) 월동 중 휴면 유충의 Ecdysteroid의 농도 변화

월동 중인 밤바구미(Curculio dentipes) 휴면 유충의 발생에 따른 ecdysone과 20-hydroxyecdysone의 농도를 high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)를 이용하여 측정하였다. Ecdysone 농도는 pre-diapausing larvae(19.81ng/g)에서 최저치를 나타내었고, diapausing larvae(29.97ng/g)에서 최대를 보였으며, post-diapausing larvae(25.71ng/g)에서 약간 감소하였다. 그러나 20-hydroxyecdysone은 pre-diapausing larvae(29.29ng/g)에서 가장 높은 농도를 보인 후, diapausing larvae(5.05ng/g)에서 급격히 감소하였고, post-diapausing larvae(12.53ng/g)에서 다시 증가하는 경향을 보여 생리기능상 역관계를 나타내었다. The concentration of ecdysteroid was measured in the pre-diapausing, diapausing, and post-diapausing larvae of the chestnut weevil. Curculio dentipes. Ecdysteroid titers were measured by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) during developmental stages. The concentration of ecdysone was the minimum(19.81ng/g) at pre-diapausing larvae and the maximum(29.97ng/g) at diapausing larvae, and it decreased to 25.71ng/g at post-diapausing larvae, and then kept relatively at high level. But the amount of 20-hydroxyecdysone was the highest value at pre-diapausing larvae(29.29ng/g) and minimum(5.05ng/g) at diapausing larvae, but it increased to the 12.53ng/g at post-diapausing larvae. In conclusion, the relationship between ecdysone and 20-hydroxyecdysone titer was shown to be inverse.

Cytotoxic Terpene Hydroperoxides from the Aerial Parts of Aster spathulifolius

Three new sesquiterpene hydroperoxides, 1-[3-(2-hydroperoxy-3-methylbut-3-en)-4-hydroxyphenyl]ethanone (2), $7{\beta}-hydroperoxy-eudesma-11-en-4-ol$ (3), and $7{\alpha}-hydroperoxymanool$ (4), together with three known compounds, germacrone (1), ent-germacra-4(15),5,10(14)-trien-$1{\alpha}$-ol (5) and teucdiol A (6) were isolated from the aerial parts of Aster spathulifolius (Compositae). Their structures were characterized using chemical and spectroscopic methods. The isolated compounds were tested for their cytotoxicity against five human tumor cell lines in vitro using a SRB method. The two new compounds, 3 and 4, showed moderate cytotoxicity against human cancer cells with $ED_{50}$ values ranging from 0.24 to $13.27\;{\mu}g/mL$.
제왕절개술에서 요부 경막외마취 후 요통발생 예방에 대한 Triamcinolone의 효과

Background : Postoperative patients frequently associate postoperative backache with epidural anesthesia administered for the operation. Epidural steroids are often used for the treatment of low back pain. We performed this study to compare the effect of epidural triamcinolone on the incidence and severity of postepidural backache after cesarean section. Methods : Eighty patients scheduled for cesarean section under epidural anesthesia using 2% lidocaine received 40 mg of triamcinolone (n=40) or 1ml of normal saline (n=40) epidurally via indwelling catheter after delivery. Backache were checked preoperatively and 24, 48, 72hr postoperatively using VAS score. A patient was considered to have postepidural backache when the postoperative VAS score was higher than the preoperative score. Results : The incidence and severity of postepidural backache were much less in triamcinolone group than in control group (p<0.05). Conclusion : Epidural triamcinolone has a preventive effect on postepidural backache in cesaran section patients. (Korean J Anesthesiol 1999; 36: 239∼243)
상악동 후비공 용종에서 줄기의 경로에 따른 상악동구 전산화단층촬영 소견

Purpose: We evaluate the pathway of the stalk of antrochoanal polyp on the coronal and axial computed tomography scans (CT), comparing with operative findings. Materials and Methods: Fourteen patients (7∼40 years old, median= 12.5 years old, ratio of male to female: 8/6) with antrochoanal polyp were examined, who took the orbitomeatal unit (OMU) CT including both coronal and axial scans as well as the operation. The CT findings and clinical findings were analyzed for the pathway of the stalk of antrochoanal polyp, comparing with the operative findings. Results: The antrochoanal polyps were mostly located on the left side (12/14, 85.7%) and equally passed through the natural and accessory ostia (7/14, 7/14) in our cases. Those that were passing through the accessory ostium were located more inferiorly and posteriorly, with preserving the natural ostium on CT scans, comparing to those via the natural ostium. However, those passing through the natural ostium had a larger stalk that eroded the uncinate process widely. So each ostium was hardly discriminated on CT scans. Conclusions: The pathway of the stalk of the antrochoanal polyp could be more specifically evaluated on both coronal and axial OMU CT scans. So, it could be more hilpful in the presurgical planning.
