        과실이 크고 품질이 우수한 조생종 배 ‘금촌조생’ 육성

        ‘금촌조생’ 품종은 농촌진흥청 원예연구소 나주배연구소에서 1971년 ‘금촌추’의 품질을 개선하기 위해 당도가 높고 육질이 유연한 ‘단배’를 교배하여 1982년 1차 선발되었고, 1997년부터 5년 간 지역적응시험을 거쳐 2001년 최종 선발 및 품종보호출원 되었다. 수세는 비교적 강하고, 수자는 반개장성이다. 꽃가루가 풍부하며, 주요 재배품종과 교배친화성을 보인다. 또한 흑반병에 대하여 강한 포장저항성을 나타내었다. 숙기는 재배중인 ‘원황’ 품종보다 약 5일 정도 늦은 9월 3일로 추석에 출하하기 알맞은 품종이다. 과형은 ‘금촌추’와 같은 도원추형이고, 과피색은 황갈색이다. 과중은 593g이고, 당도는 13.2Bx이다. 육질은 유연하며 과즙이 풍부하고, 석세포가 없어 식미가 매우 우수하다. 그러나 과육선숙형 품종으로 원예적 수확기에도 과피에 녹색이 남지만, 완숙과가 되면 황갈색으로 착색된다. 상온저장 기간은 20일 정도로 다른 조생종에 비해 저장력은 좋은 편이다. ‘Geumchonjosaeng’ pear cultivar (Pyrus pyrifolia var. culta Nakai) originated from the cross between ‘Imamuraaki’ and ‘Danbae’ to improve the fruit quality of ‘Imamuraaki’ cultivar in 1971 at Naju Pear Research Institute of National Horticultural Research Institute (NHRI), Rural Development Administration (RDA). It was preliminarily selected in 1982 and named in 2001. The tree habit shows vigorous growth and upright spreading. It carries abundant pollen grains and shows cross compatibility with leading cultivars. Also it shows high resistance to black leaf spot (Alternaria kikuchiana) in the field condition. Optimum harvest time is around Sep. 3, which is 5 days later than that of ‘Wonwhang’, and it could satisfy consumer’s demand for high quality pear fruit in “Chuseok”. The obovate fruit shape resembles maternal parent, ‘Imamuraaki’ and skin color is green yellowish brown at normal harvesting time and gradually turned to yellowish brown at full ripennig state. Fruit weighs about 593 g, and the soluble solid content is 13.5 ˚Bx. The flesh is very soft and juicy and, rendering good eating quality. Shelf life is about 20 days under the ambient temperature, and it is a relatively long period as compare with other early season cultivars.

        용접공들의 면역능에 관한 연구

        The authors examined human immunity indicators such as CD4, CD8, Natural Killer(NK) cell, IgG, IgA, and IgM, and heavy metals such as Pb, Cr, Cd to evaluate the health hazard of welders. We selected total 126 male subjects, 60 welders who had more than 5 year working history as an exposure group, and 66 office workers and medical college students as a control group. This immunity evaluation approach is the first newly designed study that has never been tried in past studies on welder's heath evaluation. And the results were as follows. 1. Total lymphocyte count of peripheral blood was significantly higher in welder group, 2,615±650 ea/㎕ compared with 2,368±681 ea/㎕ in control group(p>0.05). 2. The proportion of CD4, CD8, NK cell in welder group was 37.5±9.4%, 24.0±8.8%, and 21.0±9.5%, respectively, and 35.5±6.5%, 25.0±6.9%, and 19.6±8.8% in control group. CD4 and NK cell were slightly higher, and CD8 was slightly lower in welder group. but there was no statistical significance between two groups(p≥0.05). 3. IgG, IgA, and IgM in welder group were 15.9㎎/㎗, 2.7㎎/㎗ and 1.5㎎/㎗, respectively, and 15.6㎎/㎗, 2.9㎎/㎗ and 1.7㎎/㎗ in control group. There was no statistical significance between two groups(p≥0.05). 4. Blood lead, cadmium and chromium concentrations were 4.2±1.8㎍/㎗, 0.4±0.38㎍/㎗, 1.2±0.6㎍/㎗ in welder group and 3.2±1.7㎍/㎗, 0.44±0.29㎍/㎗, 1.1±0.6㎍/㎗ in control group, respectively, and these value were within normal ranges.

      • 신우황청심원액의 심혈관계에 관한 약효연구

        In order to investigate the pharmacological properties of New Woohwangchungsimwon Liquid (NCL), efects of Woohwangchungsimwon Liquid (CL) and NCL were compared. In isolated rat aorta, NCL and CL showed the relaxation of blood vessels in maximum contractile response to phenylephrine (10^6M) without regard to intact endothelium or denuded rings of the rat aorta. Furthemore, the presences of the inhibitor of NO synthase and guanylate cyclase did not affect the relaxation of NCL and CL. NCL and CL inhibited the vascular contractions induced by acetylcholine, prostaglandin endoperoxide or peroxide in a dosedependent manner. In conscious spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs), NCL and CL significantly decreased heart rate. NCL and CL, at high doses, had a negative inotropic effect that was a decrease of LVDP and (-dp/dt)/(+dp/dt) in the isolated perfused rat hearts, and also decreased the contractile force and heart rate in the isolated rat right atria. In excised guinea-pig papillary muscle, NCL and CL had no efects on parameters of action potential at low doses, whereas inhibited the cardiac contractility at high doses. These results suggested that NCL and CL have weak cardiovascular effects with relaxation of blood vessels and decrease of heart rate, and that this effect is no significant differences between two preparations.

        Abstract-In order to investigate the phamacological properties of New Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Pill (NSCH), effects of Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Pill (SCH) and NSCH were compared using various experimental models. In rat aorta, NSCH and SCH made the relaxation of blood vessels in maximum contractile response to phenylephrine (10^-6 M) regardless to endothelium containing or denuded rings of the rat aorta. Furthermore, the presence of the inhibitors of NO synthase and guanylate cyclase did not aftect significantly the relaxing effects of NSCH and SCH, NSCH and SCH inhibited the vascular contractions induced by acetylcholine, prostaglandin endoperoxide or peroxide in a dose-dependent manner. In conscious spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs). NSCH and SCH decreased significantly heart rate. These, at high doses, had a negative inotropic effect that was a decrease of left ventricular developed pressure and (-dp/dt)/(+dp/dt) in the isolated perfused rat hearts, and also decreased the contractile force and heart rate in the isolated rat right atria. In guinea-pig papillary muscle, these had no effects on parameters of action potential such as action potential amplitude (APA). V_max and resting membrane potential (RMP) at low doses, whereas inhibited the cardiac contractility at high doses. Furthermore, these had a significant inhibitory effects on palpitation of the heart in normotensive rats and SHRs. These results suggest that NSCH and SCH have weak cardiovascular effects, and that there is no significant differences between cardiovascular effects of two preparations.

      • 분산 네트워크 관리 시스템 지원을 위한 멀티캐스트 프로토콜의 설계 및 구현

        This paper presents a new model for group communication facility which is gradually magnified. This model has been implemented in LAN environment and can get the enhancement in performance because a new manager can be dynamically created determined depending on the type of receiving message. As an object oriented approach has been introduced in designing the system, it provides an application programmer with the means to develop a new application facility without having to build the detail functions. As the members in a group are only identified by the index in a table, the overhead for the address referencing can be minimized. In this paper, some requirements for multicast communication, the structure of the system, and service primitives will be describe in detail. As the number of manager can be dynamically created and destroyed relying on the requirement, the system can efficeintly operated. Multicast facility designed in this paper is for supporting a distributed network management system.

        A successful treatment of infants and children with congenital heart defects depends upon several factors: diagnosis must be accurate, the operative technique, including techniques of perfusion and myocardial preservation, must be suited to the needs of patients and intensive cares, including accurate anesthesia, must be applied through all stages of investigation and treatment, i.e. before, during and after the operation. Recently we performed a open heart surgery successfully for a six-years old girl who had suffered from frequent upper respiratory tract infection and mild to moderate exertional dyspnea with congenital heart defects (ventricular septal defect, Kirklin type II, with patent foramen ovale). The operation and postoperative course were very smooth. And now we report this with review of literatures.

      • 아드레날린 수용체 중개에 의한 Catecholamine의 Synaptosome을 통한 칼슘 이동의 조절

        The presynaptic α-adrenoceptors medicate a negative feedback mechanism which leads to inhibition of neurotransmitter release probably by restricting the calcium available for the excitation-secretion coupling. It is reported that norepinephrine may shorten the duration of plateau phase in action potential by decreasing a voltage sensitive, slow inward calcium current and this action of norepinephrine is antagonized by α-adrenergic blocking agents. It is also suggested that there is a direct linkage between adrenoceptors and Na+-K+ ATPase. In the present study, therefore, effects of norepinephrine, dopamine an 5-hydroxytryptamine on the calcium uptake, Na+-Ca++ exchange and membrane potential in rat brain synaptosomes were investigated. The actions of neurotransmitters on the regulators for cellular calcium transport were also studied by investigation effects of catecholamines on synaptosomal Na+-k+ ATPase, Ca++ ATPase and Na+-Ca++ ATPase activities with or without adrenergic blocking agents. In the reaction mixture containing calcium without potassium, the addition of ATP induced the synaptosomal calcium uptake only slightly. The further addition of potassium is followed by a marked increase in calcium uptake with concomittent development of membrane depolarization. Amounts of calcium uptake were increased with increasing concentrations of potassium but decreased in the presence of extracellular sodium. Norepinephrine, dopamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine inhibited the potassium induced calcium uptake but had no effect on membrane potential. Na+-K+ ATPase, Mg++ ATPase and Ca++ ATPase activities were stimulated by these amines and stimulatory effects of catecholamines were antagonized by phentolamine and propranolol. Ouabain enhanced potassium induced calcium uptake but significantly inhibited Na+-K+ ATPase activity. Diltiazem and dibucaine effectively inhibited the depolarization induced calcium uptake, but had a variable effects on ATPase activities. Dibucaine significantly inhibited Ca++ ATPase. Among various agents tested, dibucaine alone was shown to slow down the development of membrane depolarization. Norepinephrine, dopamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine inhibited both the sodium dependent calcium efflux and Na+-Ca++ ATPase activity. The inactivation of Na+-CA++ ATPase by catecholamines was reversed by phentolamine and propranolol. These results suggest that there is a linkage between presynaptie adrenoceptors and regulatory apparatus for calcium transport across the synaptic membrane. Catecholamines appear to inhibit the calcium transport by the indirect effect on the ATPases, particulary Na+-K+ ATPase at plasma membrane which is mediated by adrenoceptors and also by possible action on the calcium conductance mechanism. On the other hand, adrenergic agonists may affect the Na+ dependent Ca++ efflux in synaptic membranes.
