this study proposes how the Buddhist’s enterprises manage themselves well through the CSV’s insights of Buddhism which has not been discussed yet. Shortly, the SR of Buddhism will be successfully achieved by making the CSV consensus of Buddhists and also introductions of efficient corporate management. As a result, the CSV related social responsibility of the Buddhism will transfer effectively the Buddha’s teachings by making shared value propositions to the people. 본 연구에서는 불교의 사상적 교리와 가르침을 바탕으로 불교의 사회적 기업을 중심으로 불교의 사회적 책임과 공유가치창출의 관계를 고찰하고자 한다. 특히, 불교의 사회적 기업들은 사회적 책임의 실천으로서 운영하고 있지만 아직까지 불교의 사회적 책임에 관한 역할과 실천행동들에 대한 논의는 계속 남아있다. 게다가 불교의 사회적 기업들은 시대정신에 부합된 자비와 보시 행을 보여주고 있으나, 사회와 사회 구성요인들은 더욱 불교의 사회적 책임과 실천 행동을 요구하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 불교의 사회적 책임이 기업의 경영 노하우와 사회적 책임 사례를 활용하여 공유가치창출에 대한 합의를 만들어 내고 발굴해야 함을 제시한다. 또한 어떻게 불교의 사회적 기업들이 아직까지 제대로 논의되지 않은 불교의 공유가치창출에 대한 합의를 통해 더욱 잘 운영될 수 있는지에 관한 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 즉, 불교의 사회적 책임은 불교계의 공유가치창출에 대한 합의를 통해 더욱 성공적으로 수행될 수 있으며, 이를 위한 효율적인 기업경영의 도입을 제시한다. 결론적으로 불교의 사회적 책임과 관련된 공유가치창출은 중생들에게 공유가치를 제안함으로써 붓다의 가르침을 더욱 효과적으로 전달되도록 할 것이다.

이 논문은 불교의 보편적 교리인 ‘사성제(四聖諦)’의 가르침을 중심으로 경전과 문헌 등에서 나타난 불교의 생사관 개념을 고찰한 것이다. 주로 불교의 생사관에 관한 해석은 연기설, 윤회, 열반, 사성제에 근거하여 고찰되었다. 사성제는 고집멸도(苦集滅道)라고도 한다. 불교에서의 죽음은 두려움과 공포에 의한 ‘단절과 분리된 인식’이 아닌 연속적인 삶의 이행과정으로 본다. 즉, 불교의 생사관은 生死不二, 生卽死, 死卽生처럼 삶과 죽음은 동일하다. 초기 불교경전 뿐 아니라 대승·남방불교에서도 生·死를 시작과 끝으로 보지 않고, 윤회의 동일한 연장선상에 놓여 있다고 보았으며 사후 세계도 존재하지 않아, 깨달음을 얻어 윤회의 고리를 끊는 ‘해탈’을 궁극적 목표로 하였다. 불교에서는 죽음에 비해 태어남에 대한 논의 자체가 없다. 그리고 죽음에 대한 공포는 인간의 무지에서 오는 집착이 원인이다. 시작과 끝이 존재한다는 인식은, ‘고행을 통한 해탈 수행’을 무의미하게 만든다. 중생의 생사(生死)관은 역시 논의의 대상이 되지 않는다. 따라서 불교의 사성제(四聖諦)를 통해 본 생사관은 삶 자체가 고통이므로 - 일체개고(一切皆苦) - 생사의 관념과 인식을 버리고, 과거의 후회와 미래의 희망이라는 이분법적 틀에서 벗어나야 한다고 한다. This study tried to explore the meaning of death found in ‘Four Noble Truths’ of Buddhism which are well-known as universal truths and collections of works of Buddhism. The meaning of death has been largely understood and interpreted from ‘samsara’, ‘nirvana’, and ‘karma’ perspectives, however, it has not been explored from the Four Noble Truths of Buddhism despite the perspectives are integrated in ‘Four Noble Truths.’ Those are core teachings representing to Buddhism, and also contain that the death is a part of consecutive process of living, neither independent or separative one recognized by fear of death. Therefore, the death in the Buddhism means on the same line of living, and also the living places on the same of death as well. From the early Buddhist scriptures, Mahyana Buddhism, and Theravada Buddhism, the living-death does not mean the start and end in the process of living. Also, there is no afterlife, and since the living-death is merely moving in the ‘samsara’ circle, the ultimate goal is being out of ‘samsara’ circle through ‘nirvana’ with enlightenment. The meaning of birth in Buddhism relatively to the death is seldom interpreted, which comes from human being’s unenlightenment. From the Buddhism, the birth-death of living is not allowed to discuss because the cognition of the start-end of living makes the meaning of nirvana disappear. Therefore, the meaning of death through the Buddhism’s four noble truths found that we should be out of notion and cognition of birth-death of living because living itself is suffering, and we are able to escape from real suffering by offending supersensual frame positioned in our mind.
