위식도 역류성질환 관련 인후두역류(Laryngopharyngeal Refulx : LPR)증상을 호소하는 환자에서의 라니티딘의 치료효과 연구

Background : LPRD(Laryngopharyngeal reflux disease) gives rise to inflammatory change in the pharyngolaryngeal tissue with various otolaryngologic symptoms. Ranitidine, histamine H2receptor antagonists, are currently used as therapeutic medications. However, the efficacy of Ranitidine on LPRD has not been proven yet. Objectives : We intended to analyze the efficacy of the Ranitidine on LPRD. Materials :md Methods : In 20 multicenter, 607 patients with LPR(laryngopharyngeal reflux) symptom were observed to evaluate their symptoms and laryngoscopic findings after 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks of treatment of Ranitidine. Results : The symptom of LPR including globus sensation, sore throat hoarseness, regurgitatioin are improved after 4 weeks $86.2\%,\;8 weeks\;91.5\%,\;12 weeks\;92.9\%$ of Ranitidine treatment and improved after 4 weeks $91.5\%,\;8 weeks\;94.5\%,\;12 weeks\; 97.2\%$ of Ranitidine combined with prokinetics. The rates of sore throat, chronic cough, globus sensation improvement at 8 weeks after treatment are $26.7\%,\;16.7\%,\;16\%$. Conclusion : In patient with LPR, Ranitidine treatment reduces LPR symptoms very effectively.

장기 숙성된 한식간장의 맛성분 및 관능적 특성

In this study, 30 kinds of long-term and mature Korean soy sauce were collected and classified by the fermentation period, and the components related to taste and sensory characteristics were analyzed. A total of 4 kinds of organic acids were detected. The total organic acid content was in the range of 97.2~341.6 mg%, but did not show the tendency to increase or decrease in proportion to the aging period. The total free amino acid content was within the range of 3,001.0~3,834.7 mg% and showed a tendency to increase in proportion to the ripening period of the soy sauce. The contents of aspartic acid and glutamic acid subsequently increased in the long-term matured soy sauce. The ratio of essential amino acid to total amino acid was 31.6~35.7%, and the ratio of glutamic acid to total amino acid was 19.6~23.9%, respectively. The panel of 20~29-year-old indicated that the longer the aging period of soy sauce, the lower the preference while the panel of 30 or more years indicated that the longer the aging period of soy sauce, the higher the preference. This study was the first to investigate the quality of long-term matured soy sauce in more than one year.

Horner증후군을 동반한 경부 자율신경초종 1례

Schwannomas arising from the cervical sympathetic chain is not common. It is most often manifested as a solitary, benign, and slow-growing mass, and its malignant degeneration is rare. Recently, we experienced a case of schwannoma arising from cervical sympathetic chain. A 26-year-old man presented a left neck mass that was found incidentally. Measuring approximately 6x5cm, the mass was located medial to the left sternocleidomastoid muscle at the inferior portion of cricoid cartilage. Fine needle aspiration biopsy was performed and vague Verocay body-like structures were seen. Magnetic resonance imagings(MRI) showed a 6x4.1x3.2cm sized, relatively low signal intensity on T1-weighted images and high signal intensity on T2-weighted images in the left poststyloid parapharyngeal space. Tumor was excised via transcervical approach. Postoperatively, facial anhydrosis and miosis with ptosis in the left eye. was improved. We report this case with a brief review of literature.

아로니아로 제조한 와인의 항산화 활성

This study investigated the antioxidant activities of wine made with aronia (Aronia melanocarpa). The ethanol concentration of the aronia wine was increased up to 7.8±0.1% on the 8th day of fermentation. Compared to other types of wine, the total amount of organic acids was highest in raspberry wine, followed by grape wine, arona wine, and aronia juice. Because, acetic, oxalic, and succinic acids were not detected in the aronia juice, but were detected in the aronia wine, it was determined that they were produced during alcohol fermentation. The polyphenol content in the aronia juice and wine was higher than in the grape wine and raspberry wine and was twice as much in the aroni wine than in the aronia juice. The flavonoid content in aronia juice and wine was higher than in commercial grape wine and raspberry wine. The DPPH radical scavenging ability was higher than 50% in the aronia wine and juice samples. ABTS radical scavenging activity was higher in aronia juice and wine than in raspberry wine and grape wine. The results of this study suggest that the development of wine with high antioxidant activity is possible if wine is made with aronia.

소록도 나환자의 이비인후과 질환의 분류에 관한 고찰

Leprosy is a chronic disease of man, caused by Mycobacterium leprae. It manifests itself in the development of specific granulomatous or neutrophic lesions in the skin, mucous membrane, nerves, bone and viscera. The disease was known as early as 2000 B.C. in Egypt and has been present throughout the ages in most parts of the world and continuous to afflict more than 12 million people world wide and perhaps more than 50 thousand people in Korea. This study was carried out 2300 leprosy patients at National Leprosy Hospital for otorhinolaryngologic classification of the leprosy patient.

비강 및 부비동에 발생한 반전성유두종 2례

Inverted papilloma of the nose is a primarily lesion of the lateral nasal wall. That is an uncommon but well decumented neoplasm, which is characterized pathologically by the hypercellular thickening of the surface epithelium with downward cryptiform invagination into the supporting stroma. The earlist description of this entity was published by Ward in 1854, thereafter alternative nomenclature has been used, such as Schneiderian papilloma, Ringertz tumor, transitional cell tumor, epithelial papilloma, etc. We report two cases of inverted papilloma arising from the nasal cavity, associated with maxillary and ethmoid sinuses involvement, those were managed with lateral rhinotomy and Caldwell-Luc with Denker modification, respectively.

삼출성 중이염 환자에서의 혈중 및 아데노이드 면역글로불린 E의 면역혈청학적 연구

Otitis media with effusion (OME) is one of the most common disease in children but its pathogenesis is not clear. In particular the role of allergy has revealed conflicting support with widely varing opinions as to its importance. Within recent years, striking biochemical and immunochemical analytic techniques have opened a new approach the study of otitis media with effusion. So we focused on distributions of IgE in adenoid tissue and serum IgE levels. Authors compared the serum IgE and the distribution of IgE in adenoid tissue between the 20 patients underwent tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and ventilating tube insertion and control group of 11 patients underwent tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. The results were as follows; 1. In the distribution of IgE in adenoid tissue, there was a significant increase in the group of patients with OME compared to the control group (P<0.01). 2. In the analysis of serum IgE levels, the levels of IgE in the OME patients an control group were higher than normal level, although the level of IgE in the OME patients were less than that of control group, there was no significance P>0.05).

單耳複聽(Monoaural Diplacusis)

Diplacusis is the hearing of one sound as two, and monoaural diplacusis is herd a pure tone as a double tone of two different pitches. It was known that monoaural diplacusis occurs due to a lesion of vibrating membrane in the organ of Corti, especially in cases of endolymphatic hydrops, and it is found in most cases of Meniere’s disaese. The test for diplacusis is best made with tuning forks, and a complete series by octaves. This is a report of a case of monoaural diplacusis in a 32-year old male who has visited to Soonchunhyang University Hospital with complaints of monoaural diplasusis, ear fullness and tinnitus on the left ear.

Maude를 활용한 웹 어셈블리 프로그램 모델 체킹

웹 어셈블리는 웹 브라우저상에서 다른 언어로 작성된 프로그램을 효율적으로 실행하기 위해 고안된 바이너리 표준이며, 이를 활용한 고성능 웹 애플리케이션의 적용 사례가 빠르게 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 이러한 상승세와 더불어 웹 어셈블리 프로그램의 안정성과 보안성을 위한 연구 또한 활발하게 진행되고 있으며, 대표적으로 퍼징 기법과 심볼릭 실행 기법 등을 이용하여 보안성이 매우 중요한 웹 애플리케이션의 검증 방법이 연구되었다. 본 논문에서는 웹 어셈블리 프로그램 검증의 새로운 접근 방법을 제안하기 위해 웹 어셈블리 프로그램에 대한 모델 체킹 기법을 적용하고자 하였다. 모델 체킹을 위해 재작성 논리 기반 명세 언어인 Maude 프레임워크를 활용하여 웹 어셈블리 언어 의미 구조를 구현하였으며, 기초적인 웹 어셈블리 프로그램의 상태를 탐색하여 LTL 논리 성질을 검증하였고, 향후 이뤄질 중요한 웹 어셈블리 프로그램 검증의 기반 모델을 구축할 수 있었다.
