        현미죽 적합 품종 선정을 위한 현미 품종별 이화학적 특성

        We investigated the physicochemical properties of brown rice by cultivar to select cultivar suitable for making brown rice porridge. The moisture content of the brown rice ranged from 8.79~11.78% with the highest varieties being 'Geonyangmi'. The crude ash and crude lipid content ranged from 1.02~1.65% and 1.65~3.26%, while the rest were similar except for 'Daebo'. Crude protein also had the lowest 'Daebo' and generally glutinous rice showed higher crude protein content than common rice. The hardness showed that 'Seolgaeng' and 'Keunnun' were the lowest, and 'Haiami' was the highest. In the RVA analysis, the setback was in the range -80.61~22.44 and was low in the order of 'Wolbaek', 'Baekjinju'', and 'Dongjinchal'. As a result of water binding capacity (WBC) measurement, 'Sindongjin', 'Geonyang' and 'Samkwang', were high in common rice, and 'Dongjinchal' and 'Hwaseonchal' were high in glutinous rice. Generally, solubility and swelling power in common rice was found to be lower than in glutinous rice. As a result, 'Samkwang' is considered suitable for brown rice porridge production because of high WBC, breakdown, and low setback.

        2000년 1월 1일 0시 1분! 천년이 바뀌어도 여전히 속삭이고 싶은 연인들이 새벽에도 잠못 이루고 거는 사랑의 전화. 집 떠난 아들 걱정에 참고 참다 이동전화 다이얼을 누르는 어머니의 모정. 수출전선에서 밤을 낮으로 알고 일하는 모 기업의 국제전화. 이 모든 통화들이 2000년에도 변함없이 안정적으로 이뤄지기 위해서는 통신시스템의 Y2K문제해결이 전제되어야 할 것이다. 그럼 통신분야의 Y2K문제해결을 위하여 그동안 추진한 상황과 앞으로의 계획에 대하여 언급하겠다.

        수신신호세기의 편차 보정법을 이용한 무선센서노드 간의 거리 추정

        Based on the Zigbee-based wireless sensor network, I suggest the way to reduce errors between the short distance, improving the accuracy of the presumed distance by revising the deviation of RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) values is to estimate the distance using only the RF signal power without the additional hardware. In general, the graph measured by RSSI values shows the proximity values which are ideally reduced in proportion to the distance under the free outdoor space in which LOS(Line-Of-Sight) is guaranteed. However, if the result of the received RSSI values are each substituted to the formula, it can produce a larger margin of error and less accurate measurement since it is based upon the premise that this free space is not affected by reflected waves or obstacles caused by the ground and electronic jamming engendered by the environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to reduce the margin of errors between the distances and to measure the proximity values with the ideal type of graph by suggesting the way to revise the received RSSI values in the light of these reflected waves or obstacles and the electronic jamming. In conclusion, this study proves that errors are reduced by comparing the proposed deviation correction method to the revised RSSI value.

        무선센서 네트워크에서 버스티 트래픽에 적합한 MAC 프로토콜

        컴퓨팅, 통신, 그리고 미세 전자기계 기술의 최근 발달로 인하여 무선 센서 네트워크 응용들이 군사용으로부터 물체 추적, 화재 탐지, 그리고 차량 센서 네트워크와 같은 많은 상업적인 분야로 확산되고 있다. 어떤 응용들에서는 WSNs를 구성하고 있는 센서 노드들이 모니터링 지역에서 생산한 버스티한 데이터를 최종 목적지인 싱크 노드까지 제한된 시간 내에 전달해야 하는 경우가 있다. 본 논문에서는 제한된 시간 내에 버스티 패킷을 전달해야 하는 응용에 적합한 BTF-MAC을 제안한다. BTF-MAC 프로토콜은 동기식 듀티 사이클 MAC 프로토콜이며, 슬롯 예약 및 데이터 트래픽에 적응적으로 동작 구간을 확대하는 메커니즘을 가진다. 성능 분석 결과 BTF-MAC 프로토콜이 관련 프로토콜인 DW-MAC이나 SR-MAC 등에 비해 에너지 소모나 전송지연 비교에서 훨씬 우수한 결과를 보여준다. Due to the recent advances in computing, communication and micro-electromechanical technology, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) applications have been extended from military to many commercial areas such as object tracking, wire detection, and vehicular sensor networks. In some applications bursty data from many sensor nodes may be generated and the generated data from the monitoring area may be sent in a limited time to the final destination, sink node. In this paper, we present a BTF-MAC protocol adequate for WSNs applications in which bursty data packets are required to be transmitted in a limited time. The BTF-MAC is a synchronous duty-cycle MAC protocol and uses a slot-reserved and operational period extension mechanism adapted to the traffics. Our numerical analysis and simulation results show that BTF-MAC outperforms other related protocols such as DW-MAC and SR-MAC in terms of energy consumption and transmission delay.

        전송 효율을 고려한 무선센서 네트워크에서의 Hybrid MAC(HMAC) 프로토콜

        본 논문에서는 무선센서 네트워크에서 전송 효율을 높이기 위하여 CSMA/CA 방식과 TDMA 방식을 혼합한 HMAC 프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안된 HMAC에서는 패킷 전송을 원하는 송신 노드가 CSMA/CA 방식을 통하여 수신 노드에게 전송 요청을 하고, 수신 노드에서는 네트워크 토폴로지와 전송되어지는 트래픽 양에 따라 TDMA 방식으로 적절히 슬롯을 할당함으로 여러 수신 노드들 사이에 슬롯 중복 할당으로 인한 충돌을 낮춤으로 전송효율을 높일 수 있다. In this paper we propose a Hybrid MAC(HMAC) to enhance the transmission throughput in Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs). In the proposed HMAC, sender nodes send transmission request packets to the receiver nodes using CSMA/CA MAC protocol. And the receiver node assigns slots according to the network topology and the amount of traffics using TDMA. Using HMAC we get the enhanced throughput by lowering the duplicated slot assignment.

        정보(情報) 유통방식(流通方式)의 효율화(效率化)

        The present paper discusses some problem areas in supplying information. As the world advances in civilization, we need exact and rapid information exchange, it may be said in this connection that we also feel keenly the necessity of the industrialization of the information. In accordance with the industrialization of the information, we can find the following phenomena: 1. Increase of present potentiality users. 2. Demand of high level information in accordance with the improvement of education level, 3. Increase of demand in the information materials in accordance with growth of research and development. 4. Contraction of the existing knowhow and degeneration of special field technique, 5. Increase of information concerned person for policy making in the government and in the industry. In the meantime, the information problem occurs for efficient management of information materials, in addition to numerical increase of various kinds, increase of users crate control and standardization problem, so it is needed to improve a mode of expression, structure, file and methods of usage. The librarian, as a information processor, should recognize that the information is national resources and improve the marketability of information industry. We need an administrative system of national level for the development of library in accordance with increase of an administrator who is engaged in information activities.

        재생연 제련 부산물인 황산연으로부터 정제 질산연의 제조

        2차납 제련공정에서 발생한 주성분이 황산납인 연진으로부터 고부가가치제품인 정제 질산납을 생산하는 습식공정을 개발하였다. 본 공정은 탄산염에 의한 탄산화 공정과 저농도 질산용액을 이용한 침출공정 및 정제 공정으로 구성되어 있으며 본 공정을 통하여 99%이상의 순도를 가진 질산납을 제조할 수 있었다. Hydrometallugical process was developed to produce the purified lead nitrate from lead dust mainly composed of lead s sulfate generated from lead-acid battery smelter as by-product. This process consisLed of carbonation process with carbonate s salts, leaching and purification processes. FmaJJy crude lead nitrate purified to produce high-purity product with over 99% Pb $(NO_3)_2$.

        Development of RTD Model of the Mixer-Settler-Type Extractor Using the Stimulus-Response Method

        자극-반응(stimulus-response method)법을 이용하여 1단과 다단 혼합침강형 추출장치의 물질흐름특성을 규명하기 위한 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과, 1단 추출장치의 혼합조의 반응특성은 CSTR과 동일한 결과를 나타내었으며 혼합-침강조의 반응특성에서는 시간 지연 효과가 나타나며, 단수가 증가할수록 시간지연효과는 증가하였다. 1단과 다단 추출장치의 반응특성 실험결과를 RTD모델 해석프로그램인 K-RTD를 이용하여 분석하여 1단 및 다단 추출기의 RTD을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 1단 및 다단 혼합침강조형 추출기의 RTD 모델에 의한 계산값과 실험값에 대한 상관 계수는 각각 0.963과 0.995로 비교적 높은 것을 확인하였다. This study presents the findings of the experiments that were conducted on single- and multi-stage solvent extractors using the stimulus-response method, with the am of identifying flow characteristics of the material inside the mixer-settler-type extractor. The results of this study show that the response characteristics of a single-stage mixer is the same as that of a completely stirred tank reactor (CSTR), and that the lag time of a mixer-settler-type extractor increases with the number of its extraction stages. The experimental data for the single- and multiple-stage extractors were analyzed using K-RTD, a response analysis program, to obtain a retention time distribution (RTD) model of one-stage and four-stage extractors. The correlation coefficient between the calculated values and the experimental data was 0.963 for the one-stage extractor and 0.995 for the four-stage extractor, showing quite a good correlation.

        소목 추출물의 항균력 및 살균소독력

        Antimicrobial activity and bactericidal activity of Caesalpinia sappan L. extracts were investigated against five food-borne pathogens, E. coli, S. aureus, S. typhimurium, B. cereus and L. monocytogenes. Methanol extract of Caesalpinia sappan L. revealed antimicrobial activities against five pathogens. In particular, by paper disc diffusion the highest activity was shown against L. monocytogenes. Antimicrobial activities of methanol extracts showed the most potent activities, but hexane fraction had no activity. Fractions of ethyl acetate and butanol turned out to have higher antimicrobial activities against Gram(+) bacteria than Gram(-) bacteria. The minimum inhibitory concentration against five food-borne pathogens was 1.563 mg/ml on Gram(+) bacteria and 3.125 mg/ml on Gram(-) bacteria. The result of antimicrobial activity in a shaking flask method showed that bacterial growth rate fell by more than 99.999% at 3.125 mg/ml of methanol extract. The highest rate of viable reduction (99.998%) was shown at 0.781 mg/ml of methanol extract against L. monocytogenes. After five minutes of reaction between test strains and methanol extracts, the growth rates of five kinds of bacteria were reduced by more than 99.999% at a concentration of 100 mg/ml. Therefore, it is suggested that methanol extracts of Caesalpinia sappan L. can be developed as a natural sanitizer or disinfectant.

        Brief study on Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS)

        The Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment commonly referred to as the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive or RoHS was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union. The RoHS directive took effect on 1 July 2006, and is required to be enforced and become law in each member state. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment. It is closely linked with the waste electrical and electronic equipment directive (WEEE) 2002/96/EC which sets collection, recycling and recovery targets for electrical goods and is part of a legislative initiative to solve the problem of huge amounts of toxic e-waste. 유해물질 제한지침(Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive, RoHS)로 알려진 특정 유해물질 사용에 관한 규제는 2003년 2월 유럽 연합에서 시행되었다. RoHS는 2006년 7월 1일부터 효력을 발휘하며 이를 위해서는 유럽연합 소속국가에서 법령을 제정하여야 한다. 이 지침은 다양한 전기전자기기의 제조에 있어서 6가지 유해물질의 사용을 제한한다. 이것은 대량 발생하고 있는 유해한 전자기기 폐기물 문제를 해결하기 위해 발의된 법안의 일부이며, 전자제품 재활용에 관한 폐전자기기처리지침(Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive, WEEE)과 밀접한 관계가 있다.
