This study examined the physicochemical properties of radish pickle containing different natural preservatives (grapefruit seed extract, green tea extract, rosemary, or olive) stored for 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks. The hardness and color of the radish pickles with the grapefruit seed extract was higher than the other radish pickles during storage from week 0 to week 4. A 14.52% and 13.80% decrease in hardness and color were observed in the radish pickles with grapefruit seed extract (GFE), respectively. In addition, the total phenolic content was highest in the GFE in natural preservatives. Based on the results, GFE was selected as the optimal natural preservatives, and the growth of total viable bacteria and yeast were evaluated. The total viable bacteria and yeast showed similar patterns to the control. These results are expected to be useful in producing radish pickles with optimal quality and contribute to the development of various foods in the food industry.
다중 측면 기반의 분산 데이터 할당을 위한 MAPN 모델링

In designing distributed databases, DAP(Data Allocation Problem) is one of the key design issues. Because, however, most of previous researches on DAP have considered only cost aspect, they cannot increase the performance and availability and they are not proper to the system requiring high-availability or real-time processing. Therefore, we need a more formal data allocation model considering multiple aspects. In this paper, we propose the MAPN (Multiple Aspects Petri Net) modeling method for the distributed transaction modeling. The MAPN model, an extended classical petri net, is proposed for the formal modeling considering multiple aspects (cost, performance and availability) concurrently. We demonstrate that we can compose the valid DAP evaluation model considering not only cost but also performance and availability concurrently by using the MAPN structure and MAPN graph.
무지 외반증에서 Chevron 술식과 Wilson 술식의 결과 비교

In a retrospective study, we compared the results of 24 cases of Chevron osteotomies with those of 17cases of Wilsons osteotomies in the treatment of hallux valgus. We used FFSS(Fore Foot Scoring System) and radiographic findings. There were no differences between the two operations in terms of pain relief and appearance. All patients in the Chevron and Wilsons osteotomy group had good functional results and were more satisfied with the appearance of the foot. We conclude Wilsons osteotomy is useful method for correction of hallux valgus.

최근 일본에서는 시중에 판매되는 농약에 비해 값이 저렴한 석회를 이용하여 작물의 생육에 꼭 필요한 칼슘성분을 적극적으로 사용함으로서 작물의 면역력을 높여 병.충해를 예방, 방제하는 방법을 실천하는 농가가 늘고 있다. 주로 고토석회와 소석회를 덧거름으로 사용하는 경우가 많고, 석회가루를 직접 작물의 잎에 뿌리거나 물에 녹인 후 희석하여 뿌려주고 있다. 한편 굴 껍질이나 계란껍질을 현미식초나 목초액 등에 녹여서 뿌려주는 농가도 있다. 이런 농가 100명의 목소리를 설문 조사한 결과와 사례를 소개한다.

The cooling stage is the very critical and most time consuming stage of the injection molding process, thus it cleary affects both the productivity and the part quality. Even through there are several commercialized package programs available in the injection molding industry to analyze the cooling performance of the injection molding coling stage, optimization of the cooling system has npt yet been accomplished in the literature due to the difficulty in the sensitivity analysis. However, it would be greatly desirable for the mold cooling system designers to have a computer aided design system for the cooling stage. With this in mind, the present study has successfully developed an interated computer aided design system for the injection molding cooling system. The CAD system utilizes the sensitivity analysis via a Boundary Element Method, which we recently developed, and the well-known CONMIN alforuthm as an optimization technique to minimize a weighted combination (objective function) of the temperature non-uniformity over the part surface and the cooling time related to the productivity with side constranits for the design reality. In the proposed objective function , the weighting parameter between the temperature non-uniiformity abd the cooling time can be adjusted according to user's interest. In this cooling system optimization, various design variable are considered as follows : (i) (design variables related to processing conditions) inlet coolant bulk temperature and volumetric flow rate of each cooling channel, and (ii) (design variables related to mold cooling system design) radius and location of each cooling channel. For this optimum design problem, three different radius and location of each cooling channel. For this optimum design problem, three different strategies are suffested based upon the nature of design variables. Three sample problems were successfully solved to demonstrated the efficiency and the usefulness of the CAD system.

Programming education is an important part of the ICT education field, and helps to increase the ability of analyzing, logical thinking, and solving procedural problems. Unfortunately, there is very little chance to learn computer programming nowadays. In addition, students have to install the translating program of the programming language they wish to study. In this paper, we describe the system we designed and implemented on the Internet, which can offer the setting to make programs to run on the WWW. Students can make, edit and run programs on the WWW though they did not set up the language translator program on their local computers.
