        소방공무원에서 우울 및 불안에 작용하는 대인관계 민감성/리질리언스의 영향

        Objective : This study aimed to ascertain the effect of interpersonal sensitivity/resilience on depression and anxiety in firefighters whose frequency of exposure to traumatic events is high. Method : A survey was performed and data related to 75 firefighters were analyzed. Questionnaires included the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R). To assess the susceptibility or protector roles with respect to psychopathology, the Interpersonal Sensitivity Measure (IPSM) and Conner-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) were used. Results : The personality characteristic, interpersonal sensitivity (IPSM) showed a significant positive correlation with depression (BDI, r=0.557, p<0.001) and posttraumatic stress symptoms (IES-R, r=0.316 ; p<0.001). In contrast, resilience and symptom parameters (BDI, IES-R) were negatively correlated with each other, but not statistically significant. However, an adaptive factor for change, a third sub-factor of CD-RISC, had significant negative correlation with depression and anxiety symptoms (BDI, r=-0.275, p<0.005 ; IES-R, r=-0.254, p<0.005). Conclusion : The results of the present study showed that some personality traits may act as vulnerability or protective factors with respect to the psychopathologies of depression and anxiety.

      • A Study of the Adjustment and Treatment Depending on the Change of Prostate Location Using DIPS in Proton Beam Therapy for Prostate Gland in which a Fiducial Gold Marker was Inserted

        Purpose: To monitor the changes of location of prostate gland using DIPS and to examine the adjustment and proton beam therapy depending on the movement of prostate gland in proton beam therapy for prostate gland in which a fiducial gold marker was inserted. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted in ten patients with prostate cancer who received proton beam therapy since April of 2008. To monitor the change of prostate location, three fiducial gold markers were inserted prior to the treatment. To minimize the movement of prostate gland, patients were recommended to urinate prior to the treatment, to intake a certain amount of water and to concomitantly undergo rectal balloon. In these patients, the set-up position was identical to that for a CT-simulation. The PA (posterior-anterior) and lateral images were obtained using both DIPS (digital image positioning system) and a plain radiography, and they were compared between the two imaging modalities. Thus, the changes of the location of fiducial gold marker were assessed based on three coordinates (x, y, z) and then adjusted. This was followed by proton beam therapy. Results: Images which were taken using a plain radiography were compared with those which were taken using DIPS. In ten patients, according to a reference bony marker, the mean changes of the location of fiducial gold marker based on an iso-center were X-axis: $\pm$0.116 cm, Y-axis: $\pm$0.19 cm and Z-axis: $\pm$0.176 cm. These ten patients showed a difference in the changes of location of prostate gland and it ranged between RT: 0.04 cm and RT: 0.24 cm on the X-axis; between Inf: 0.03 cm and Sup: 0.42 cm on the Y-axis; and Post: 0.05 cm and Ant: 0.35 cm on the Z-axis. Conclusion: To minimize the movement of prostate gland, as the pre-treatment prior to the treatment. In all the patients, however, three fiducial gold markers showed a daily variation which were inserted in the prostate gland. Based on the above data, Thus, the requirement of gold marker matching system depending on the daily variation in the proton beam therapy for which more accurate establishment of target was confirmed. It is assumed that an accurate effect of proton beam therapy would be enhanced by adjusting the target-center depending on the location change of prostate gland using DIPS which was used in the current study.

        "IMS Learning Design" 기반 이러닝 설계원리에 관한 연구

        Instructional Management Systems Learning Design(IMS LD)은 이러닝 환경에서 학습자의 학습활동을 중심으로 이러닝을 설계, 개발할 수 있도록 안내하는 구조틀이자 언어이다. 학습활동 중심의 이러닝 개발이 보편화되기 위해서는 IMS LD 기반의 구체적인 이러닝 설계원리를 규명할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 IMS LD 기반의 이러닝 설계원리를 개발하고, 적용 가능성을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 개발연구의 방법 및 절차에 따라 관련 문헌 분석을 통하여 설계원리와 이론적 구성 요소를 도출하고, 해당 설계원리를 적용한 이러닝 프로그램을 개발하였다. 그리고 프로그램에 적용된 설계원리에 대한 연구 참가자의 의견을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 총 여덟 개의 설계원리가 도출되었으며, 각각의 설계원리는 "학습내용 및 학습활동 구성 전략", "학습설계 개발 전략", 그리고 "학습관리 전략"이라는 세 개의 이론적 구성 요소에 포함되었다. 참가자의 의견을 분석한 결과, 본 설계원리의 주요 강점으로 "학습내용과 학습활동의 통합적 설계에 따른 학습의 편이", "역할에 따른 학습내용 및 학습활동 설계에 따른 역할 인지 및 적극적인 활동 참여", 그리고 "설계 단계에서의 공지 설계에 따른 이러닝 프로그램의 운영 및 관리의 용이"가 도출되었다. 또한, 약점을 고려한 주요 개선점으로는 "학습활동 설계에 대한 가이드라인 제공", "사전지식을 포함한 다양한 학습자의 특성에 대한 고려", 그리고 "이메일 이외의 다양한 방식을 활용한 공지 설계"가 제안되었다. The purpose of this study is to develop design principles for IMS Learning Design (IMS LD). IMS LD is a framework and language to design and develop e-learning program based on learners` learning activities for achieving learning objectives in e-learning environments. The study was conducted by development research methodology: devising design principles and three theoretical components from the relevant literature review; developing e-learning program bv applying these design principles; and finally, gathering and analyzing the participants` responses about the design principles by workshop, survey, and interviews. Eight design principles were developed, and these principes were categorized by three theoretical components: strategy for constructing learning contents and learning activities; strategy for developing learning design; and strategy for learning management. The participants` responses in the survey and interviews were analyzed to investigate the strengths, weaknesses, and improvements of the design principles. The strengths included "designing learning contents and learning activities together", "designing learning contents and learning activities which are appropriated to roles", and "designing the expected notification included". The weaknesses and improvements included "providing the guideline for designing learning activities", "considering learners" characteristics including prerequisites", and "designing notification media variously". These findings can be reflected on the new design principles and the optimal principles can be developed by design-based research in the future.

        부루세라백신(BR51)의 안전성에 관한 연구 II. 부루세라 RB51 백신균주의 마우스 및 기니픽에 대한 안전성

        The pathogenicity of Br abortus RB51 strains, producted by commercial vaccine companies in Republic of Korea and USA, were evaluated in mouse and guinea pig. BALB/c and ICR mice were intraperitoneally inoculated with RB51 vaccines or virulent field strain and the existence of RB51 including its ratio of spleen to weights and persistence in spleens were examined. Groups of guinea pigs on day 55-58 of received subcutaneously with various RB51 vaccines, RB51 field isolates (Daehungjin) or virulent field isolates(Sangju) to compare the histopathogenicity in uterus. All the mice received RB51 vaccines or RB51 field isolates survived for 10 days, but the groups of mice received virulent field isolates died 5 from 11 (45.5%) in case of BALB/c mice and 12 from 12 (100%) in ICR mice, respectively. The number of RB51 in the groups of mice given with vaccine strains and RB51 field isolates were declined rapidly were in spleens between 12 and 20 days after inoculation. In contrast the mice given with the virulent field isolates rose in number of bacteria up to 20 days after inoculation. In the groups of mice infected with virulent field isolates, the ratio of spleen weights to body weight were significantly higher than those in control or in the groups inoculated with RB51 strain, including RB51 field isolates, at 12 and 20 days after inoculation. At ten days after inoculation, placentas of both the pregnant and non-pregnant guinea pigs were conducted for histopathological examination. Although any abnormal lesions were not observed in non-pregnant guinea pigs, all the strains caused the inflammation of the placenta, implying pathogenecity of RB51 in pregnant guinea pigs.

        며느리배꼽 추출물의 항균 작용과 성분 분석

        1) 며느리배꼽의 항균활성 측정결과, S. aureus, P. acnes,에 대한 ethyl acetate 분획의 MIC는 각각 0.25%, 0.25%로 큰 항균활성을 나타내었으며, 천연 방부제, 항균제로서 역할이 충분히 기대된다. 2) 며느리배꼽 추출물의 ethyl acetate 분획의 TLC는 5개의 띠(PP1, PP2, PP3, PP4, PP5)로 분리가 되었고, 그 중에서 농도가 가장 진한 것은 Rf 값이 0.32인 PP4로 나타났다. 3) 며느리배꼽 추출물 중 ethyl acetate 분획의 HPLC 크로마토그램은 검출파장 320nm에서 8개의 peak를 나타내었고, peak 1은 caffeic acid, peak 2는 quercetin-3-o-glucuronide, peak 3은 isoquercitrin, peak 5는 quercetin, peak 6는 apigenin으로, peak 7은 kaempferol 임을 확인하였다. 4) 며느리배꼽 추출물의 aglycone 분획의 TLC는 3개의 띠 (PPA1, PPA2, PPA3)로 분리가 되었고, 그 중에서 농도가 가장 진한 것은 Rf 값이 0.45인 PPA3로 나타났다. 5) 며느리배꼽 추출물 중 aglycone 분획의 HPLC 크로마토그램은 검출파장 260 nm에서 3개의 peak를 나타내었고, peak 1은 caffeic acid, 높이가 가장 높은 peak 2는 quercetin 그리고 peak 3은 kaempferol임을 확인하였다. 이상의 결과들로부터 며느리배꼽 추출물의 강력한 항산화 성분과 항균 활성으로부터 며느리배꼽 추출물의 항산화, 항균 화장품으로의 응용 가능성을 시사한다. In this study, the antibacterial activity and component analysis of Persicaria perfoliata extracts were investigated. MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) values of ethyl acetate fraction from P. perfoliata on Escherichia coli, Propionibacterium acnes, and Staphylococcus aureus were 0.25%, equally. The results showed that the antibacterial activity of the ethyl acetate fraction was the highest in the S. aureus and P. acnes. Ethyl acetate fraction from P. perfoliata extracts showed 5 bands in TLC and 8 peaks in HPLC (320nm). In HPLC chromatogram of ethyl acetate fraction, first main peak 2 (24.99%) and peak 3 (22.65%) were identified as quercetin-3-o-glucuronide and isoquercitrin in the order of elution time. Also, in HPLC chromatogram of deglycosylated fraction, main peak 2 (76.93%) was identified as quercetin in the order of elution time. And these components are very effective as antioxidants. Thus, these results indicate that extract/ fractions of P. perfoliata can be applicable to new functional cosmetics for antioxidant, antibacterial activity.

        유방암에서 Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein (IGFBP)-3 및 PTEN 발현의 감소와 임상병리학적 소견과의 관련성

        Purpose: Insulin-like growth factor binding protein (IGFBP-3) and phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) are tumor-suppressor genes that may be involved in breast tumorigenesis. However, the roles of these genes in the regulation of breast cancer growth or progress are unclear. In this study, we aimed to find any correlation between the reduction of IGFBP-3 or PTEN protein expression in cancer tissues and the clinicopathological parameters in breast cancer. Methods: We collected both cancer and adjacent normal tissues from 46 breast cancer patients (from January 1 to December 31, 2006), and checked the IGFBP-3 and PTEN protein levels in cancer and adjacent normal tissues using Western immunoblot. We evaluated the correlation of reduction status of IGFBP-3 and PTEN protein expression with variable clinicopathological parameters. Results: The frequency of IGFBP-3 and PTEN protein reduction in cancer tissue, compared to adjacent normal tissue, was 63.0% and 34.8%, respectively. And in 87.5% of patients, who showed significant PTEN reduction, IGFBP-3 protein expression was reduced in cancer tissues. In contrast, IGFBP-3 protein reduced in only 50% of patients who didn’t show PTEN reduction. However, we did not find any significant correlation between reduction of IGFBP-3 or PTEN expression in cancer tissue and variable clinicopathological parameters. Conclusion: The IGFBP-3 and PTEN genes were expressed in all breast cancer tissues. Nonetheless, we did not find any significant relationship between reduction of IGFBP-3 or PTEN expression and the clinicopathological parameters in this study. Therefore, further studies are needed to document the roles of IGFBP-3 and PTEN genes in breast cancer growth or progress.

        이러닝 설계에서 "IMS Learning Design"의 의의와 가능성에 관한 탐색적 연구

        본 연구는 `활동 중심`으로 이러닝을 설계하기 위해 교수설계 맥락에서 IMS Learning Design(IMS LD)을 검토하고 이것이 이러닝 설계에 주는 교육적 의의와 가능성을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. IMS GLC에서 개발한 학습활동의 표준인 IMS LD는 이러닝 환경에서 학습자가 특정한 학습목표를 성취할 수 있도록 `학습활동`, `학습자원`, `학습지원` 등을 설계·개발하는 것을 도와주는 구체화된 언어이자 구조틀이다. IMS LD는 다양한 학습자의 역할을 설정하고 역할에 따라 서로 다른 학습활동을 수행할 수 있도록 지원하며, `속성`, `조건`, `공지` 등의 기능을 활용하여 학습활동의 진행 과정에서 요구되는 교수자의 개입을 일정 부분 설계에 포함함으로써 이러닝 설계 영역을 수업 운영까지 확대하고, 적응적·협력적 이러닝의 가능성을 보여준다. 본 연구에서는 IMS LD에 기반한 이러닝 설계를 위하여 순서도, 청사진, 스토리보드 플랫폼과 같은 절차적 방안을 제안함으로써 학습활동 중심의 이러닝 설계가 어떻게 가능한가를 탐색적으로 보여주려고 하였다. The purposes of this research are to investigate the main points of `IMS Learning Design (IMS LD)` and to suggest specific directions and procedures for e-learning design by the IMS LD specifications. IMS LD is an alternative standard for e-learning design with the focus of learning activity developed by IMS Global Learning Consortium and a structural framework or a meta-language that supports to design and develop the learning activities, learning resources and learning supports. According to IMS LD, learners participate in the multi-role teaching and learning process of the collaborative learning activities based on different pedagogical approaches. The functions of properties, conditions and notifications support the description of individualized learning design and lessen the engagement of instructors in process of learning activities. The implications of IMS LD in e-learning design are to expand the boundary of e-learning design from contents-oriented design to activity-oriented design and to suggest the possibilities of adaptive and collaborative e-learning. In order to specify and guide the design and development procedure and to help the communication between e-learning instructional designers and developers such as computer programmers, this study suggested the flowchart, blueprint, and storyboard platform for IMS LD in e-learning.

        pH 순환 모형을 이용하여 15% 과산화요소를 함유한 치아미 백제가 심미수복재의 색, 미세경도 및 거칠기에 미치는 영향

        Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of tooth bleaching agent contained 15% carbamide peroxide on the color, microhardness and surface roughness of tooth-colored restorative materials by using pH cycling model. Methods: Four types of tooth-colored restorative materials, including a composite resin(Filtek Z350; Z350), a flowable composite resin(Filtek P60: P60), a compomer(Dyract® AP; DY), and a glass-ionomer cement(KetacTM Molar Easymix ; KM). were used in the study. Eighty-eight specimens of each material were fabricated, randomly divided into two groups(n=44): experimental group(15% carbamide peroxide) and control group(distilled water). These groups were then divided into four subgroups(n=11). All groups were bleached 4 hours per day for 14 days using pH cycling model. The authors measured the color, microhardness, and roughness of the specimens before and after bleaching. The data were analyzed with ANOVA and T-test. Results: Z350 and P60 showed a slight color change(△E*), whereas DY and KM showed significantly color change(p<0.05). Among them, the greatest color change was observed in DY. Percentage microhardness loss(PML) of the distilled water group was 1.8 to 5.1%, and 15% peroxide peroxide group was 5.0 to 25.2%. Microhardness of DY and KM showed a statistically significant decrease(p<0.05). Roughness was increased in all groups after bleaching. Z350 and P60 does not have a significant difference(p>0.05), however DY and KM significantly increased more than the 0.2 ㎛(p<0.05). Conclusions: The effects of bleaching on restorative materials were material dependent. It is necessary to consider the type of the material before starting the treatment.

        농업부산물 크라프트펄프의 혼합에 따른 판지의 물성변화

        The cultivation of agricultural crops results in the generation of agricultural byproducts. Researchers have reported that these materials can be useful in a variety of applications. However, over 50% of them are currently discarded because of the lack of specific technologies in industrial applications. Therefore, effective and specific applications must be developed in order to manufacture high-quality materials using discarded lignocellulosic resources. In this study, we determined the possibility of using kraft pulp from major agricultural byproducts as a raw material for the manufacture of paperboard. Rice husks, peanut husks, and garlic stems were obtained and used to prepare many kinds of kraft pulps by controlling the active alkali, sulfidity, reaction time, and liquor ratio. After the production of these kraft pulps, handsheets were manufactured by mixing them with KOCC. After preconditioning, the physical properties and strengths of the handsheets were measured according to the TAPPI test methods. The shapes, lengths, and widths of the pulp fibers varied according to the type of agricultural byproduct and the kraft pulping conditions. Rice husk and garlic stem pulps manufactured under mild pulping conditions resulted in handsheets of higher bulk than other pulps. Garlic stem pulps manufactured under mild pulping conditions were stronger than rice husk pulps and peanut husk pulps.

        야콘 추출물이 Streptozotocin으로 유도된 당뇨 동물모델에서 혈당강하에 미치는 효과

        This study was performed to investigate improvements in diabetes mellitus by extracts of yacon in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. Fifty rats were divided into a normal group and four experimental groups. STZ (45 ㎎/㎏) was injected intraperitoneally to induce type I diabetes in the four experimental groups. Yacon extracts were administered for 5 weeks. Forty-five ICR mice were also divided into one positive control group and four experimental groups for the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) after fed yacon extract. The control group did not eat any yacon extracts, while Group 1 (GI) was fed 125 ㎎/㎏ of yacon extracts, Group 2 (GII) was fed 250 ㎎/㎏ of yacon extracts, and Group 3 (GIII) was fed 500 ㎎/㎏ of yacon extracts. After treatment for 5 weeks, blood glucose in GIII group showed decreased tendency at the 5 week. In OGTT by glucose, the glucose level of yacon treatment group in diabetic rats was significantly decreased compared to the glucose level of the control group, but there was no difference in OGTT by maltose. In ICR mice, the glucose level of the experimental group in OGTT by maltose was significantly decreased compared to the control group. The area of the islets of Langerhans was increased by yacon treatment in a dose-dependent manner on diabetic rats. Insulin concentration of the GIII group was also decreased compared to the control group, while the concentration of fructosamine, total cholesterol, and triglycerides in serum showed no difference. OGTT by glucose or maltose in ICR mice or diabetic rats, area of the Islets of Langerhans, and insulin concentration improved. Yacon treatment may be a useful therapeutic and preventive strategy for diabetes mellitus.
