        Tryophagus putrescentiae induces inflammatory cytokine secretions from the human cell lines THP-1 and EoL-1 cells

        The present study aimed to identify the roles of the storage mite Tyrophagus putrescentiae (Tp) in relation to human skin diseases, such as atopic dermatitis. We examined the effects of T. putrescentiae extracts (TpE) on the secretion of inflammatory cytokines and their mRNA expression in human immune cells. Human monocytic THP-1 and eosinophilic EoL-1 cells were challenged with TpE and the inflammatory cytokines, interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-8 (IL-8), and monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1) secreted in culture supernatant were analyzed using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The mRNA levels in the cell cultures were also measured via reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). In the THP-1 cells, the TpE significantly induced the secretion of IL-6, IL-8, and MCP-1 in a time- and dose-dependent manner. It also stimulated increases in the expression levels of the IL-6, IL-8, and MCP-1 mRNA. However, while the TpE induced IL-8 and MCP-1 mRNA levels in the EoL-1 cells, it did not induce IL-6 expression. Using Western blot analysis, we confirmed the activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), in response to TpE challenge of the THP-1 cells. Collectively, our results show that TpE challenge elicits inflammatory response in the human monocytic THP-1 and eosinophilic EoL-1 cells, and it induces increased production of the inflammatory cytokines IL-6, IL-8, and MCP-1.

        <P>An all‐solution‐processed flexible piezoelectric nanogenerator, composed of polycrystalline ZnO thin film and functional polymer layers such as P3HT/PCBM and PEDOT:PSS, generates energy through a mechanical rolling and muscle stretching system. On page 6022, Youn Sang Kim, Sang‐Woo Kim, and co‐workers show that this all‐solution‐processed nanogenerator is feasible as a piezoelectric patchable device and is promising for use in future energy harvesters such as wearable human patches and mobile electronics. </P>

        제주도 지하수 질산염 농도의 시·공간적 변화 특성: 장기(1993-2015) 모니터링 자료의 평가

        1993년부터 2015년까지 관측된 제주도 지하수 장기모니터링 관측정(N = 4,835)에서 수집된 지하수 수질자료(N = 21,568)를 기반으로 질산성질소의 시공간적 변동 특성을 평가하였다. 제주도 지하수의 질산성질소 농도의 중앙값은 2.5 mg/L로서 다른 국가나 대륙의 조사 결과에 비해 다소 높거나 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지하수 용도, 행정구역 및 고도 별로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 특히, 산간 지역에 비해 저지대 해안가에 위치한 농업 및 주거지역에서 농도가 높음을 확인하였다. Mann-Kendall 및 Sen’s slope 분석을 활용한 질산성질소 농도의 추세 분석 결과, 하류 저지 대에 비해 중산간지역에서의 질산성질소 농도 증가 경향이 뚜렷하였다. 제주도 내 토지 피복의 시계열 변화 특성과 결부 지어 보면, 중산간지역의 오염 증가 추세는 농업지역의 확장 등 인위적 활동 증가에 기인한 결과로 판단된다. 반면,기지정된 지하수자원특별관리구역에서는 전반적으로 질산성질소 농도의 감소 경향이 나타났는데, 이는 지하수 관리 측면에서 수질관리를 위한 적극적인 정책이 유효함을 시사한다. 본 연구에서는 제주도 지하수의 질산성질소 오염관리를 위한 적정 방안을 제안한다. The spatio-temporal variations of nitrate concentrations in groundwater of Jeju Island were evaluated by an analysis of time series groundwater quality data (N = 21,568) that were collected from regional groundwater monitoring (number of wells = 4,835) for up to 20 years between 1993 and 2015. The median concentration of NO 3 -N is 2.5 mg/L, which is slightly higher than those reported from regional surveys in other countries. Nitrate concentrations of groundwater in wells tend to significantly vary according to different water usage (of the well), administrative districts, and topographic elevations: nitrate level is higher in low-lying agricultural and residential areas than those in high mountainous areas. The Mann-Kendall trend test and Sen’s slope analysis show that nitrate concentration in mid-mountainous areas tends to increase, possibly due to the expansion of agricultural areas toward highland. On the other hand, nitrate concentrations in the Specially Designated Groundwater Quality Protection Zones show the temporally decreasing trend, which implies the efficiency of groundwater management actions in Jeju. Proper measures for sustainable groundwater quality management are suggested in this study.

        돈육의 저장중 이화학적 성질에 미치는 토코페롤 급여효과

        비육후기 돼지 사료에 첨가되는 우지 함량 중 2%를 들깨유로 대체 급여한 돈육(T1), T1처리구에 비타민 E 250ppm 첨가 급여한 돈육(T2), 우지함량 중 2%를 오징어유로 대체 급여한 돈육(T3), T3에 비타민 E 250ppm 첨가 급여한 돈육(T4)을 1±1℃에서 28일간 저장하면서 육질특성을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 저장기간에 따라 육색 L^*과 b^*값, 지방색 b^*값 및 drip loss는 증가하였다. 총단백질추출성과 보수력은 14일까지 증가 후 감소하였으며, 염용성 단백질추출성 및 지방색 L^*값은 감소하였다. 근절길이에서는 저장기간에 따라 T3구는 감소하였다. 총단백질추출성은 T1보다는 T2가 낮은 반면 T3보다는 T4가 높았다. 염용성단백질추출성은 비타민 E 첨가구들이(T2, T4) 첨가하지 않은 구들(T1, T3)에 비하여 높았으며, drip loss와 육색 a^*값은 비타민 첨가구들이 첨가하지 않은 구들에 비해 낮게 나타났다. 보수력은 T1보다는 T2가 낮은 반면 T3보다는 T4가 높았다. 지방색 L^*값은 저장 1일째는 비타민을 첨가한 처리구들이 첨가하지 않은 처리구들에 비해 높았으나, 저장 28일째에는 낮게 나타났고, b^*값은 비타민을 첨가한 처리구들이 낮게 나타나 비타민 첨가구가 drip loss, 육색과 염용성단백질 추출성에서 좋은 효과를 나타내었다. The quality of pork meat was determined as following treatments. The meat samples were obtained from pigs which had been fed finishing pig diets containing 2% perillar seed oil in beef tallow(T1), 250ppm vitamin E in T1(T2), 2% squid oil substituted of beef tallow(T3), 250ppm vitamin E in T3(T4). During storage period, meat color L^*, b^* value, fat color b^* value and drip loss were increased. The extraction amount of total protein and water holding capacity were increased until 14 days after then were decrease. The extraction amount of salt soluble protein and fat color L^* value were decreased and sarcomere length were decrease in T2 as well. T1 was higher than T2 in the extraction amount of total protein and its of T4 was higher than T3. The extraction amount of salt soluble protein of the T2 and T4 was higher than that of T1 and T3. The drip loss and the a^* value of meat color were lower in vitamin treated one than non treated one. On water holding capacity. T1 was higher than T2 and T3 was lower than T4. The L^* value of fat in vitamin treated ones was shown higher than that of non treated ones on day 1, however, it and the b^* value of the meat were low on day 28.

      • 폐산과 폐알칼리를 이용한 폐지류의 전처리

        The objective of this study were to treat waste paper with waste acid and alkali so to enhance maturity of the wastes. The sample was office paper and news paper which ratio was 1:1 and the reagents for pre-treatment were sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide for waste acid and alkali. The maturity indices were taken volatile solid. cation exchange capacity, and gas production variation. The pre-treatment method was to dip the sample in the reagent according to time, concentration, and dosage. The methods of treatment were to dip the wastes in leachate and to landfill in soil. The result of this study were as follow. When waste paper was treated by acid and alkali, the proper treatment condition was 24hours and 0.1 normality of acid and alkali. The pre-treated samples with acid and alkali such as RSN and RSH were more effective in maturity than non-treated sample such as RS. The post-treated sample such as RSL, RSNL, and RSHL was more effective than nonpost-treated sample such as RS, RSN, and RSH.

        정조대 토목공사의 의의와 역사문화환경으로의 보존 : 인공호수 만석거를 중심으로 Focused on the Man-made Lake Manseokgeo

        The present research is to present a plan to preserve the man-made lake Manseokgeo which is a city foundation establishment related to Hwaseong Fortress in Suweon which has been registered as World Cultural Heritage in 1997, as a historical cultural environment. In order to obtain this object, we studied 1) the meaning and role of the influence of the construction of Manseokgeo on the society of its time based on the social situation when Manseokgeo Was constructed, 2) the state and role of the meaning of Manseokgeo as a historical cultural environment in current cities based on the significance of the construction of the man-made lake Manseokgeo, according to the transformation of the city as a historical cultural environment in the city, and finally 3) the plan to preserve and manage Manseokgeo as a historical cultural environment. The plan to preserve and manage has been presented in two aspects: one is a plan in the aspect of improving the physical environment, which is a plan to restore the scenery of Manseokgeo, and the other is a plan in the aspect of non physical management, which is a plan to appoint it as a historical park. The significance of the present research is to enlarge the subjects being preserved in historical cities so that they can expand city foundation establishments which support us to carry on city life.

      • 기계적 처리와 금속촉매 오존산화에 의한 슬러지 감량화

        This research investigated the effect of mechanical pretreatment and ozone/catalytic oxidation on the reduction of sewage sludge. The pretreatment process was carried out to enhance sludge solubilization. The degree of solubilization was evaluated based on the DR. TS 1∼4% sludge was treated by ball mil using glass beads of 1 mm in diameter with the 50% (v/v) zircon bead loading. TS 4% showed 4 times higher solubilization efficiency than that of untreated sludge. The combination of the mechanical pretreatment and ozone/catalytic oxidation(10 mg Mn/g TS) showed higher efficiency than ozone/catalytic oxidation. At the 40% solubilization efficiency of sludge achieved by using ball mill, combination treatment showed 3 times higher than control. Ozone/catalytic oxidation improved the solid reduction effectively in the lower pH, presumably due to a high production of OH radical.

      • 남녀 중학생의 약물에 관한 태도 및 인식 연구

        The purpose of this study was to survey the attitude and perception of the Middle School Students on a Drug. In this study, 520 middle school students in Seoul response to a questionnaire, which is composed to analyse four categories, i.e. general facts, the actual condition of a drug use, the attitude of a drug, and the degree of demand ort preventive education for a drug. And the students are classified by satisfactory degree on a home background, satisfactory degree on a school life, and school record. The data is analysed by means of frequency, percentage, chi-square test and pearson's correlation using the SPSS-PC^+ package program. The results of this study were as follow : 1. the actual condition of a drug use The frequency of a drug use except a alcohol and the degree of perception on a drug are higher in female students than in male students. The female students are more permissive on the drug use and they are also tend to think more easily the purchase of a drug. The frequency of a drug use and the degree of perception on a drug are higher in the group of the lower satisfactory degree on a home background. Especially, there are many people using a drug surrounging the student in the lower group. The frequency of a drug use and the degree of perception on a drug are higher in the group of the lower satisfactory degree on a school life. The students in the group of a lower school record think more dangerous about the use of a drug. The degree of perception on a drug is higher in a higher group, and the students in a higher group also think more easily the purchase of a drug. 2. the attitude of a drug and perception The more dangerous attitude of a drug was shown by the female students,by the groups of lower satisfactory degree on a home background and a school life and by the group of a lower school record. 3. the degree of demand on preventive education for a drug The student recognize the necessity of the preventive education for drug abuse. But they think negative about on-going education on a drug because of ineffectiveness of that education. The percentage of student using a drug is not high, but the high percentage of student are interest in the drug and they have permissive attitude on the drug. Thus, the preventive education for a drug abuse is to require haste.

      • 구조물의 진동 저감에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 건축물의 진동 저감에 관하여 연구하였다. 건축물의 진동을 저감하기 위한 방법 중에 면진구조와 제전구조에 관하여 상세히 다루고 이를 구조해석프로그램에 적용하여 해석 예제를 통해 면진구조와 제진구조의 효과에 대해 검정하였다. 먼저 현재 사용되고 있는 면진구조와 제진구조의 특성과 원리 그리고 종류를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 면진장치는 납삽입고무베어링형 면진장치와 마찰진자형 면진장치에 관하여 제진장치는 점탄성 감쇠기와 금속항복형 감쇠기에 관하여 다루었다. 면진 및 제진장치가 어떠한 동특성을 가지고 있는지를 파악하는 것이 가장 중요하다. 이를 통해 이들 장치가 지진하중에 대하여 어떠한 성능을 가지는지 알수가 있다. 그리고 면진 및 제진장치가 구조해적프로그램에서 어떻게 모델되어지는지 알아보고, 면진 및 제진장치가 갖는 재료적 비선형성으로 인해 이들 장치의 성능을 해석하기 위해서는 비선형 해석이 요구된다는 점을 알수 있었다. 또한 경계비선형 시간이력해석이 면진 및 제진 구조물의 특성상 비선형 거동이 주로 면진 및 제진 장치에서만 발생하는 점에 근거하여 모드중첩법을 이용하여 경계비선형 시간 이력해석의 이론적 배경을 설명하였다. 마지막으로 해석예제를 통하여 면진 및 제진장치의 효과를 검증하였다. This paper is study about reducing vibration of structure. In first, it have analysis matrial, losic, and kindness that theseday use of Earthquake-Resistance structure and Damping structure. This study is analysed about Lead Rubber Bearing type and Friction Pendulum System in Earthquake-Resistance structure and Viscoelastic Damper and Metalic Yield Damper in Damping structure. It is important to analysis what do Earthquake-Resistance structure and Damping structure have dynamic character. In this case, we know about what it have fuction of against earthquake. In the last, it probate an effection in the case of interprepation.
