        This study attempted to determine the degree of asbestos release from the aging slate roof by comparing the asbestos content in the slate roof rain gutter with a colored steel plate (tin plate) over the slate roof. Four slate roof houses located in Haengmok-ri, Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, and one house constructed with a colored steel plate on the slate roof were selected to collect the sediment of the roof rain gutter. The asbestos fiber content was calculated by a point counting method using a polarization microscope after pretreatment with conversion treatment and hydrochloric acid treatment. The average asbestos content of the four slate roof rain gutter were 1.89%. However, asbestos was not detected in the Slate covering roof rain gutter, which were constructed on the slate roof. Asbestos fiber content was the highest at 2.89% in the slate roof rain gutter installed in 1976, followed by 2.44% in 1953. From the above results, it is necessary to minimize secondary damage as asbestos fibers released from slate roof houses to the surrounding atmosphere or leaked from slate roofs as rainwater may cause soil pollution and seriously affect residents' health. Although covering with colored steel plates (tin plates) has been shown to prevent the leakage of asbestos fibers to some extent, it is believed that a policy alternative to remove the slate roof as soon as possible is needed to solve the fundamental problem.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the chemical quality and characteristics of groundwater in the area of Taejon university, and to suggest long-term strategy for groundwater management. The geology in the study area is mainly composed of Jurassic biotite granite and schistose granite, and phyllite and shistose phyllite of Okcheon system. All groundwater samples except one sample were classified into Ca-HCO3 type in chemical composition, and showed the hardness ranging from moderately hard to hard. The pH of groundwater showed weak acidic and neutral conditions. The results of factor analysis of hydrochemical data indicated that major chemical constituents of groundwater were derived by three main factors: the contribution of two different water-rock interaction processes and the effect of contamination. A part of groundwater samples showed a little high iron and nitrate content, which were likely to be influenced by contamination sources. The environmental assessment of groundwater hydrology and regular monitoring work should be carried out to maintain high quality and plentiful quantity of groundwater in Taejon University.

        The development of robotic welding process is a very complex assignment because the system is affected by a number of process parameters which are very difficult to determine or predict in practice. The full automation welding has not yet been achieved partly because the mathematical model for the process parameters of a given welding task is not fully understood and quantified. Several mathematical models to control welding quality, Productivity, micro structure and weld properties in arc welding processed have been studied. However, it is not an easy task to apply them to the various practical situations because the relationship between the process parameters and the bead geometry is non-linear and also they are usually dependent on specific experimental result. Practically, it is difficult, but important to know how to establish a mathematical model that can predict the result of the actual welding process and how to select the optimum welding condition under a certain constraint. In this paper, an attempt has been made to develop an neural network model to predict the back-bead width as a function of key process parameters in the GMA (Gas Metal Arc) welding and to compare the developed models with the experimental results

        사이버 커뮤니케이션 소프트웨어 디자인 개발에 관한 연구

        최근 사이버 커뮤니케이션을 사용하는 사용자가 증가함에 따라 다양한 사용자 연령층이 형성되었고, 사용범위의 확대와 새로운 사용 도구들이 등장하고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 사이버 커뮤니케이션은 사용환경이 일률적이며, 기능의 다양화와 사용자 중심의 표현 영역에 대한 환경을 제공해 주지는 못한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 사이버 커뮤니케이션의 표현 방법의 제한에 따른 문제 해결 방안을 위해 사용자 및, 사용도구에 대한 문제점 관찰을 통하여 도출된 문제점을 분석하여, 사이버 커뮤니케이션 분야에서의 보다 효과적인 표현 방법을 제안한다. 이에 본 연구는 크게 세 부분으로 구분된다. 먼저 커뮤니케이션의 개념과 종류, 발달 과정을 통하여 사이버 커뮤니케이션의 시대적 전개상황을 보여준다. 다음으로 사이버 커뮤니케이션의 주요 사용자에 대한 특징을 조사하고, 기존의 사용자 세대에 대한 분석을 통하여, 새로운 사용자 유형을 추측한다. 또한 사이버 커뮤니케이션에서 사용자들이 주로 사용하는 사용 도구에 대해 고찰하여, 각각의 도구들에서 보여지는 기능적인 특징들을 소개한다. 마지막으로, 앞에서 이루어졌던 조사 분석을 통하여 사용자 특징과 도구에 따른 사이버 커뮤니케이션의 표현영역을 제시한다. 그리고 현 도구별 문제점을 관찰하여, 효과적인 사이버 커뮤니케이션을 위한 디자인을 제안한다. Recently, due to the increase of user who uses cyber communication, users of various age groups are formed, the range of use is enlarged and new utility is appeared but environment for use is uniform and can't provide the various function and the environment for expression area on the basis of user. So for the purposer to solve the problem caused by restricted expression of cyber communication, this paper analyzed the drawn problem through observing the problem concerned to user and utility and suggested more effective method in cyber communication. This paper is classified into 3 major parts. First, one shows the unfolding situation of communication in each age and important factors according to it through surveying concept, type and developing process of cyber communication with existing literature and data. Second, another predicts new user's pattern through surveying the character of major user of cyber communication. Lastly, the other suggests the expression area of cyber communication according to user's character and utility through analyzing previously researched context and suggests the design for effective cyber communication through observing problems by utility.

      • 5종의 치주질환균에 대한 프로폴리스의 항균효과

        Since the oral cavity is directly connected to the outside, it is an important site for microbial invasion, and since it is an environment that is nutritionally and physiologically easy to multiply bacteria, many bacteria always form bacteriological flora in the oral cavity. And propolis is a natural treatment used in many health food stores in various forms for local treatment. This study analyzes the changes in the activity of five oral microorganisms before and after consumption of propolis for various age groups to find out how propolis, which shows the efficacy of anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and immune sensitization, affects oral microorganisms. Five types of bacteria possessed by periodontal disease patients were specified and digitized targeting the public person, and then before and after propolis intake was compared, and the levels of periodontal disease bacteria in the intake group and the non-consumption group were compared. As a result of comparing the patterns before ingestion (0 week) and after ingestion (3 week) in the oral bacteria analysis, it was confirmed that the bacteria decreased overall except for the five populations in the propolis intake group. In contrast, in the comparative group that did not intake propolis, the bacteria of five periodontal disease increased except for the four populations. What can be seen from this result is that propolis is effective in reducing bacteria in five types of periodontal disease. In order to use propolis as a food for preventing periodontal disease and to get a better effect, further research is needed to find out the mechanism of antibacterial action in propolis compounds.

      • 1980년대(1981-1990) 전·후반기 피부과 외래환자의 통계적 비교 관찰

        To study the prevalence of common dermatoses 37,638 and 30,286 new outpatients who visited dermatology clinic with Hanyang University Hospital from January 1981 to December 1985 and from January 1986 to December 1990, respectively. Among the 37,638 outpatients in the first 5 years, the total number of male patients were 18,107(48.1%) and female patients were 19,531 (51.9%). Among the 30286 outpatients in the last 5 years, the total number of male patients were 14,705 (48.6%) and female patients were 15,581 (51.4%). In the both periods, the most frequent age groups was 21-30 (27.3%,25.2% respectively). The 15 common dermatoses, bacterial infection, seborreic dermatitis, drug eruption, verruca, syphilis, psoriasis, herpes zoster, and hypopigmentary disorder, in order of frequency. In thelast 5years, dermatophytosis, contact dermatitis, urticaria, acne, other eczema, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, bacterial infection, drug eruption, verruca, gerpes zoster, psoriasis, hypopigmentary disorder, scabies and syphilis were the 15 common dermatoses, as frequency. In both periods, the dermatosis which showed annually increasing tendency was dermatophytosis and those of decreasing tendency was bacterial infection. In the both periods, dermatophytosis, urticaria, bacterial infection, seborrheic dermatitis, verruca, and hypopigmentary disorder occurred most frequently during the summer season, and the incidence of other ecxema, scabies, atopic dermatitis, and herpes zoster increased during the winter season.
