해양생물 중 마비성패독 검출을 위한 발광성 박테리아 Aliivibrio fischeri의 적용 연구

마비성패독에 의한 중독(Paralytic shellfish poisoning, PSP)은 와편모조류 등이 생성하는 독소에 노출된 수산물에 의해 발생한다. 대표적인 마비성패독 삭시톡신(Saxitoxin, STX)은 30개 이상의 이성질체가 있으며, 종류에 따라 독성에 차이가 있고 체내에서의 독성 성분의 변화를 일으키기도 한다. 본 연구는 발광박테리아 알리비브리오(Aliivibrio fischeri)를 활용해 STX군 독소들을 스크리닝하고 발광저해율에 따른 독성 차이를 확인하였다. 이 독성평가방법을 Bioluminescence inhibition assay (BIA)라고 하며, 발광박테리아의 발광저해율로 독성 유무를 확인한다. 실험은 STX 과 9종의 이성질체(STX, GTX1&4, GTX2&3, NEO, dcNEO, dcSTX, dcGTX2&3, C1&C2, GTX5, GTX6)의 표준독소로 BIA를 진행하였고, 독성지수로 EC50 (mg/L)값을 산출하였다. 산출된 EC50값은 STX (20.9 mg/L)을 기준으로 STX group의 독성을 독성등가계수(Toxic Equivalency Factor, TEF)로 치환하였다. BIA 결과로 GTX6가 가장높은 독성을 GTX2&3이 가장 낮은 독성을 나타내었는데, 이는 WHO (2016), EFSA (2009)에서 제시한 TEF값과 상이한 것으로 나타났다. BIA를 이용한 독성평가 결과, 독소별 독성의 차이는 나타났지만 마비성패독에 대한 기질 특이성은 알려지지 않았다. BIA를MBA 대체시험법으로 제시하기 위해서는 마비성패류독소에 작용에 대한 특이성을 확인할 수 있는 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. This study evaluated the differences in toxicity of STX and nine analogues (GTX1&4, GTX2&3, NEO, dcNEO, dcSTX, dcGTX2&3, C1&C2, GTX5, GTX6) using the Bioluminescence Inhibition Assay (BIA), and the toxicity test measured the inhibition rate of luminescence of bacterium, Aliivibrio fischeri. The toxicity index was calculated as EC50 (mg/L) values. The derived EC50 values were converted to Toxic Equivalency Factors (TEF) for the STX group, using STX (20.9 mg/L) as the reference. The BIA revealed that GTX6 exhibited the highest toxicity but the toxicity of GTX2&3 was the lowest. This result differed from the TEF values suggested by WHO (2016) and EFSA (2009), indicating that BIA may lack substrate specificity for STX group. Therefore, to propose an alternative screening method to the mouse bioassay, further research is needed to confirm the specificity of BIA for paralytic shellfish toxins.

Purpose: To evaluate the clinical results of the patients who underwent radiofrequency thermal shrinkage (RFTS) for treatment of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) laxity after ACL reconstruction. Material and Methods: From October 1999 to March 2006, we performed 133 cases of ACL reconstruction. Among them we experienced 16 patients who had the laxity of reconstructed ACL in second look arthroscopy. Mean follow-up was 20.4 months. Mean age was 33.5 years. 12 cases were male and 4 cases were female. The elongated ACL were treated by bipolar radiofrequency energy with an output of grade II. Subjective and objective parameters were utilized in analyses, such as: the mean range of motion, Lysholm knee score, Tegner activity score, Lachman test, IKDC score. Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to perform the data analysis. P<0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. Results: Postoperative mean Lysholm knee score (preop: $82.2{\pm}5.2(77{\sim}85))$ (P=0.04), postop: $85.2{\pm}4.8$(82-90)) and anterior displacement by the Telos stress test (preop: $5.4{\pm}4.6(3{\sim}10)mm$, postop: $2.1{\pm}1.9(0{\sim}4)mm)$ (P=0.02), Lachman's test, and IKDC scores (P=0.04) demonstrated significant differences statistically compared to the preoperative. There were no statistical differences in mean range of motion, Tegner activity scale. Conclusions: Arthroscopic shrinkage for the ACL laxity after ACL reconstruction with radiofrequency device showed good clinical results and was applicable operative technique.

Increase of traffic volume in recent years results in deterioration of the bridge slab, which is directly subjected ot vehicle loads. Where extensive repair is necessary, replacement or enhancement of load carrying capacity using full depth precast concrete deck is often the most practical solution. Precast deck system has transverse joints between adjacent precast decks. Vertical shear forces occur when a vehicle wheel load is carried by precast decks and the joints are used to transfer the load to an adjacent deck. Effective load transfer between precast decks is critical for integral behavior. Finite element analysis and tests were run on the proposed femal-to-female type joint. 18 joint specimens were tested to investigate the effects of angle. D/H, and confining stress under static load. Results indicate joint with angle of 60$^{\circ}$ and D/H of 1/4 shows the improved load carrying capacity on crack. It is effective in protecting the cracking of joints to keep the joint in compression using confining stress.
친환경 혁신의 선행요인 및 기업성과에 대한 실증연구 - 조선 후방산업(기자재 제조기업) 중심으로 -

날로 강화되는 국제 환경문제와 발맞추어 선박에 요구되는 환경 규제 또한 더욱 강화되고 있어 선박 기자재 제조사들에도 그 영향이 미치고 있다. 조선기자재 산업도 친환경 요구가 강화됨에 따라 친환경 혁신을 촉진하는 기업 외부 및 내부동기를 종합적으로 고려하고 친환경 혁신이 기업의 환경성과, 운영성과 및 재무성과에 미치는 영향을 세계 조선업의 정상에 있는 대한민국의 조선기자재 공급 기업의 데이터를 활용해 실증 분석하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과, 법적 규제는 친환경 제품 및 서비스 혁신에 긍정적 영향을 미치지만, 친환경 프로세스 혁신은 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 기업들은 법적규제를 강력한 외부압력으로 인식하고 있으며, 조선기자재 산업에서는 IMO와 EU의 환경 규제 등이 중요한 요인으로 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 비용 절감은 친환경 혁신에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않으며, 기업들은 이를 단기 비용 절감이 아닌 장기 경쟁력 강화를 위한 방안으로 고려한다. 친환경 제품 개발과 혁신은 기업성과를 개선하는 데 긍정적 영향을 미치지만, 프로세스 혁신에 대한 영향은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 조선기자재 제조업체들은 외부압력에 효과적으로 대응하고, 장기적 경쟁력을 위해 통합적 친환경 혁신 전략을 수립해야 한다. In line with the increasingly stringent international environmental concerns, the environmental regulations required for ships are also becoming more stringent, which is having an impact on ship equipment manufacturers. As the shipbuilding equipment industry is also facing increasing Green demands, this study comprehensively considers the external and internal motivations of companies to promote Green innovation and empirically analyzes the impact of Green innovation on environmental, operational, and financial performance of firms using data from shipbuilding equipment suppliers in Korea, which is at the top level of the global shipbuilding industry. This analysis shows that legal regulations have a positive impact on green product and service innovation, but not on green process innovation. Firms perceive legal regulations as a strong external pressure, and in the shipbuilding equipment industry, the regulations such as IMO and EU environmental regulations are important factors. Cost reduction does not have a significant impact on green innovation, and firms consider it as a way to strengthen long-term competitiveness rather than short-term performance on cost reduction. Green product development and innovation have a positive impact on improving firm performance, but the impact on process innovation is low. In conclusion, shipbuilding equipment manufacturers should develop an integrated green innovation strategy to effectively respond to external pressures and ensuring long-term competitiveness.
일측성 메니에르병의 그룹간의 임상양상과 전기와우도 검사의 진단적 가치

Background and Objectives:There is no single test that is definitive for making the diagnosis of Menieres disease. However, electrocochleography (ECoG) has been advocated as a reliable objective test for Menieres disease. This study was undertaken to asses the clinical characteristics among patients of Menieres diseases, who are divided into different groups, and the value of ECoG in establishing the diagnosis and clasification of Menieres disease. Materials and Method:From Jan 1990 to Dec 1999, 126 patients clinicaly suspected of unilateral Menieres disease and who had undergone ECoG were selected. Patients were classified into definite, probable and possible Menieres groups. The lowest audiological thresholds from the previous 6 months, the SP:AP ratio and the results of a caloric test were evaluated, retrospectively. Results:The definite Menieres group demonstrated an elevated SP:AP ratio among 74.4% of the cases, the probable Menieres group among 48.6%, and the possible group among 37.0%. However, symptoms such as tinnitus or earfullness showed no corelation betwen the groups. Acording to the audiologic evaluation, the posible group was mostly in the stage I, whereas the definite group and probable group were mostly in the stage III. The audiogram pattern and the caloric test showed no difference among the groups. Conclusion:diagnosis of definite Menieres group from probable or possible group. (Korean J Otolaryngol 2002;45:853-7)
