The purpose of this study was to analyze on the morphological characteristics of elite fencing players. In this study, 32 male fencing players completed the measurement of 39 anthropometric variables. To assess of the differences between elite fencing player and non-elite fencing players' morphological characteristics, discriminant test and morphological analysis were used. The results of this study were follows. There were no statistical differences in all the morphological characteristics between elite player and non-elite players in length variables except length variables. In conclusion, elite and non-elite players of fencing become most discriminant by length variables.
산업용 보일러 배기가스 중의 NO_x 제거를 위한 TiO_2 담지 산화 중석 촉매들의 내열성과 그 촉매표면 산성특성과의 상관관계

In order to suggest an efficient catalyst systems for the NOx reduction of flue gases from industrial boilers, TiO_2 supported WO_3, WO_3-V_2O_5, V_2O_5 and WS_2 catalysts were tested for the performances of NOx reduction at high reaction temperature range (250-500℃) using a simulated flue gas system. It was found that while the proposed WO_3/TiO_2 and V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2 catalysts showed a significant high NOx reduction efficiencies at about 350-400℃, the conventional commercial catalyst of V_2O_5/TiO_2 showed a significant drop in NOx reduction efficiency due to the excessive NH_3 oxidation. From the measurements of surface acidities of those catalysts, it was found that the acidities are well correlated with the activities of NOx reduction. The reason of high activity of WO_3 series catalysts at high reaction temperature seems due to the low value of surface excess oxygen compared with that of V_2O_5/TiO_2 catalyst. The active site for NOx reduction of WO_3/TiO_2 seems equivalent to the acid site of that catalyst.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of fluoride gel treatment on the bond strength between composite resin and titanium alloys, and the effect of NaF solution on the bond strength between composite resin and titanium alloys. Five titanium and titanium based and one cobalt-chromiun based alloy were tested. Surface of alloys were treated with three different method ; SiC polishing paper (# 2,000), sandblasting (50 ㎛ Al₂O₃), and fluoride gel (F = 1.23 %, pH 3.0). After treatment, surface were analyzed by SEM with EDXA. Scotchbond MP and Superbond C & B were used as bonding agent. Light-curable composite resin (Z100) was filled into a cylinder-type (5.0 ㎜ × 7.3 ㎜) gelatin capsule. The capsule was place on the alloy surface treated by various method, and composite resin was cured by the visible light for 30 seconds at four different directions. Shear bond strength were measured by Instron (cross-head speed at 0.02 ㎝/min.). From the experiments, the following results were obtained. Fluoride gel did not affect the surface properties of cobalt-chromiun alloy (VTL) and nickel-titanium alloy, but other titanium alloys were strongly affected by the fluoride gel. Treatment with the fluoride gel showed similar bond strength to the sandblasted titanium alloys. Shear bond strength did not show the significant difference (p>0.05) with treatment time (5 min, 10 min, and 20 min) of fluoride gel. After ultrasonic cleaning subsequent to the fluoride gel treatment, fluoride ion or any complex of titanium-fluoride were not observed by EDXA. After treatment of the composite resin bonded titanium in NaF solution (1000 ppm, pH 3, 37 ℃) did not affect the bond strength between composite resin and titanium alloys.
브랜딩 아로마 에센셜오일의 항스트레스효과에 대한 실험연구

Objectives: This study was performed to evaluate the antistress effects of two aromatic blends being composed of synergic essential oils and also to differentiate its effectiveness between two. Methods: The subject were 20(10 for men, 10 for women) for vital factors and another 20(10 for mem, 10 for women) for serum catecholamine. Vital factors(blood pressure, pulse), electroencephalograpy, psychological tests(SACL, STAI) and serum catecholamine were applied to the subjects. Results: 1. All two aromatic synergic blends revealed no significant differnce of vital factors after inhalation but stable conditions generally by lowering pulse and blood pressure after inhalation. 2. Both blends were significantly valuable in antianxiety and antistress effects statistically. There were no statistically difference between two blends. 3. There were no significant difference in all brain waves after inhalation of two blends but generally stable brain waves were seen in all areas. 4. There were antistress effects of both blends in accordance of decreased serum catecholamines after inhalation of both blends. There were no significantly difference between two blends statistically. Conclusion: Both two aromatic synergic blends reached effective antistress and antianxiety states after inhalation of each blends. There were no siginificant difference between two blends. Further studies about the effectiveness between the amount of aromatic essential oils and the duration of inhalation should be considered. Also clinical applications of these two aromatic synergic blending oils to develop the aromatic products would be affordable in the future.
백화사설초 메탄올 추출물에 의한 HL-60 細胞 枯死過程에서의 cell cycle 關聯因子의 活性變化 硏究

Objecives: Hedyotis diffusa is used to treat cancer in traditional Korea Medicine. So this study was carried out to examine the expression of cell cycle related genes in HL-60 cells undergoing apoptosis by the methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa. Methods: 1. HL-60 cells were treated with various concentrations (from 200 to 50㎍/ml)of metnanol extract and H20 extract (200 ㎍/ml) of hedyotis diffusa. After 48 h later, the cells were tested for viability by MTT assay. 2. The HL-60 cells were treated with 200 ㎍/ml of methanol extract for the indicated periods. The whole cell lysates were prepared and analyzed by westem blotting using anti-p53 antibody. 3. The nuclear extract were prepared and analyed by western blotting using anti-p21 antibody, anti-p27 antibody, anti-cyclen A antibody, anti-cylin E antibody and anti-CDK2 antinbody. Results: 1. The methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa induced the death of HL-60 cells in a dose dependent manner. 2. The methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa makedly decreased the level of p21/Cipl and cyclin A in a time dependent manner. 3. The methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa markedly increased tje ;eve; pf p27/Kip and cyclin E in a time dependent mammer. 4.The methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa markedly did not affect the level of CDK2. Conclusions: These results provide evidence that expression of cell cycle related genes in HL-6- cells undergoing apoptosis by the methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa mainly results from decreased level of p21/cipl and increased level of p27/Kipl of the cell cycle related genes.

Under the compressive loads, tensile stress fields are possibly induced according to the boundary condition of compressed body. At the crack tip, the possibility of occurance of tensile stress fields are strong even under the compressive loads. In this paper, the fracturing behavior of brittle materials containing crack are investigated and the compressive strength affected by crack clearance are inspected theoretically and experimentally. Upon the theoretical and experimental results, it is found that compressive strength is decreased as the crack clearance is increased.

불확실한 비선형 다중입출력 시스템에 대해서 신경회로망을 이용한 적응출력피드백제어 기법이 제안되었다. 역변환 기반의 제어입력으로부터 불확실한 비선형성을 분리하기 위해 변형된 운동 역변환 모델(Modified Dynamic Inversion Model, MDIM)이 도입되었다. MDIM 은 근사된 운동 역변환 모델과 역변환 모델 오차로 구성되었고 한 개의 신경회로망이 MDIM을 보상하는데 적용되었다. 여기서 신경회로망의 출력은 필터링된 근사오차 기반의 제어기를 증대시킨다. 추적성능과 종국적 유계성(ultimate boundedness)을 보장하기 위해 리야프노프의 직접방법 (Lyapunov's direct method)으로부터 유도된 온라인 가중치 적응법칙이 이용되었다. 수치적 시뮬레이션을 통해 본 논문의 타당성을 검증하였다. Adaptive output feedback control technique using Neural Networks(NN) is proposed for uncertain nonlinear Multi-Input Multi-Output(MIMO) systems. Modified Dynamic Inversion Model(MDIM) is introduced to decouple uncertain nonlinearities from inversion-based control input. MDIM consists of approximated dynamic inversion model and inversion model error. One NN is applied to compensate the MDIM of the system. The output of the NN augments the tracking controller which is based upon a filtered error approximation with online weight adaptation laws which are derived from Lyapunov's direct method to guarantee tracking performance and ultimate boundedness. Several numerical results are illustrated in the simulation of Van der Pol system and unmanned helicopter with model uncertainties.
